Luna Nova campus entrance
After their brief trip to the Last Wednesday Society in Blytonbury, the Red and Green Covens returned to Luna Nova with exactly a second left on their mandatory two hour limit on weekdays off-campus activities, with Jasminka helping carry the Cinderella Magic Set.
Lotte, on the other hand, is still sad about Amanda's casual insult to Nightfall. Upon landing on the ground and dismounting from her broom, the Finnish girl simply walked past Professor Nelson (who was just getting ready to go "fetch" the Red and Green Covens) without sparing the Broom Flight Instructor a glance.
"What's with Miss Creme?" Professor Nelson asked the other girls. "She looked like she spent the last two hours crying..."
"Long story." Akko and Amanda answered at the same time.
"You don't want to know, Captain..." The Shooting Star, still held by Amanda, then informed the Broom Flight Instructor.

Red Coven's Dorm
"So, what does this box do?" Akko asked as she sat on her bunk bed, watching the Cinderella Magic Set that is placed in the middle of the floor of the Red Coven's Dorm.
"It's the Cinderella Magic Set." Amanda, who together with Constanze and Jasminka decided to tag along with the Red Coven before curfew begins, explained while sitting on Sucy's bed. "Basically, you and at least two others stand around a specifically-made magic circle with this thing in the center of it." The redhead waved her wand, but without casting any spells. "And then you cast a spell. Done properly, you will find yourself wearing gorgeous outfits perfect for a banquet."
"That sounds kind of simple..." Akko said.
"But thing is, the spell lasts only two hours before fading out. So if you want to use it, you're gonna have to do it right before the banquet starts." Amanda added. "At least, that's what Chumlee told me..."
"That's it?" Akko asked for clarity.
"Yep." Amanda answered.
"Seems really simple..." Akko commented.
"Anyways, want me to keep it safe for you?" Amanda then asked.
"Maybe you should..." Said Sucy as she did some work involving the jar of Akko's spit that she collected earlier in the day.
"You're implying that she's clumsy?" Amanda cracked a smile at that, and asked the pale Filipino.
"Sucy!" Akko protested.
Sucy did not respond to either girls.
Amanda got up from Sucy's bed. "Well, I guess I'd just leave this thing with you for the time being." She told the Red Coven girls as she turned to leave the Red Coven's dorm. "Come on, Conz, Jas, let's get back to our room before curfew starts and Bitchface Finneran or her favorite Cabbage catches us."
Constanze let out a grunt as she made all the tools and gadgets that she was using fold themselves together into the mechanical backpack she is usually wearing. While Jasminka continued to eat out of her bag of chips. Both Green Coven girls followed their Coven leader out of the Red Team's dorm.
"Anyways, good night, Reds. If there's anything you don't understand about the Cinderella Magic Set, just read the freaking manual, okay?" Amanda poked her head back in to say before departing from the scene.
With the Green Coven gone, Akko soon turned toward the Cinderella Magic Set left on the floor. "Perfect for a banquet, huh?" She wondered about what Amanda told her.
At the same time, Sucy was about to make a retort directed at Akko, but stopped herself when she got the result of the work she just did with Akko's spit. The look of surprise on the pale Filipino's face as she took a closer look at her work went unnoticed by the brunette.
Meanwhile, Lotte had spent the rest of the day after getting back from Blytonbury, all bundled up in her bunk bed, as she is still sad about the grave insult that Amanda so casually gave about Nightfall.

"Remember these words, Akko: Noctu Orfei Aude Fraetor"
"Isn't that the spell for Shiny Chariot's Shiny Arc? Why am I being told this? On top of that, what does Chariot have to do with the Seven Stars of Jennifer? Please tell me! I need to know!"
...
"Wait!"
Akko shot up from her bunk bed so abruptly that she fell off of it and face-planted on the floor.
I hope this gets old quickly... Groaning, Akko thought as she removed her face from the floor and nursed her nose.
Not much plot advancement in this shorter-than-usual chapter. Just an intermission to show that I haven't abandoned this fic yet.
For those of you not in the know, this story along with Young Maiden's Chronicles 2: Seasonal Fantasy were put on an unannounced hiatus as I went to write The Shiny Witch and the Warden, a short story that is basically The Owl House with LWA characters (and currently only available on AO3), and unexpected issues in real life caused what was meant to be a week's worth of work to take a month to finish.
Now that you know what is happening, let's get right back to regular updates for my usual stories.
