Elros has left to live among the Edain, Elrond wants nothing more than to have him back at his side. Deep in the night, the Maia Eönwë finds him sitting by the sea, lost in grief, and decides to talk to him and ends up telling him of his own brother, Mairon, who fought in the War in the same position as he did, but on the other side of the conflict.

For Feanorian week. One chapter/brother. Based on 7 deadly sins/7 virtues. I am a fan of the sons of Fëanor. They are the most fascinating, complex and morally ambiguous characters in Tolkien's writings. I tend to view and write them in a positive, redemptive light. This is my attempt to write a darker side of them. Of course I had to counter each negative with a positive also.
