NaruSaku Birthdays: Part 3 – Arashi
The Sun started to slowly rise over Konohagakure no Sato.
Within the village was a very nice home that belonged to none other than the Hokage of Konohagakure, Naruto Uzumaki, and his wife, Sakura Uzumaki née. Haruno.
Today was a special day. It's Arashi's birthday.
Right now, the youngest child of the Uzumaki household was sleeping peacefully in his bed. The moment the sunlight sneaked through her window and radiated upon her face, his eyes slowly opened and blinked away the tiredness. He gave out a big yawned, as he was ready to get up, but the moment he moved an inch, he felt something on himself, making him look down to see there was something different about him since he went to bed last night, making him sigh with a small frown.
Downstairs, Shinachiku yawned as he made his way into the kitchen, only to find Hanami already inside, getting ready with a mixing bowl and ingredients for breakfast.
"Oh no, no, no, no, no, no! You are not baking again! I do not want to be in the middle of a kitchen explosion! It's too early for this!" Shinachiku complained with a frown.
Hanami's response was simply sticking her tongue out and blowing a raspberry towards her brother.
Shinachiku groaned as he marched over and tried to take the stuff away from his sister's grasp.
Sakura and Naruto made their way downstairs, both yawning with the female of the two then stretching her arms up.
Naruto stared at his wife, more specifically her chest, which was sticking out proudly, causing him to blush at the sight with a nosebleed.
Sakura opened one eye after stretching to find her husband staring at her assets.
"Time and place, Naruto." Sakura said as she crossed her arms and put on a stern front.
"R-Right." Naruto said as he looked away, lightly scratching his still blushing cheek with a finger.
'Still, nice to know that he never gets tired of these.' Sakura thought as she turned her head away and smiled with a blush on her cheeks.
The two then heard a commotion in the kitchen, alerting them of what sounds like a struggle.
"You're not mixing gunpowder into the batter again!" Shinachiku exclaimed.
"Stop Trying To Censor Me!" Hanami screamed out in protest.
"Oh lord, it's too early for this." Sakura said with a tired sigh as she lightly pressed her fingers against her forehead as she started making her way over towards the kitchen. There she found her eldest son and only daughter fighting over the baking materials with several clones assist their respective creators in their small war. Sakura stared at the sight with a dull expression. She took in a deep breath through her nose before 'speaking'. "ENOUGH!" Sakura screamed out with a pissed anime expression as pink chakra burst around her, shaking the house a bit with fissures forming beneath her feet.
All the Shinachikus and Hanamis stopped fighting as they all look to their mother with wide, worried eyes.
"Uh oh." Shinachiku said with a sense of fear.
"This is your fault." Hanami said to her brother with a pout and half-lidded eyes.
"Nani?!" Shinachiku turned to her with an annoyed anime expression.
"Stop It!" Sakura shouted, causing all of them to flinch and look back to her. "It's too early for any sibling squabbles. Put the baking supplies down and step out of the kitchen." Sakura ordered with a stern expression and her hands on her hips.
"Hai, kaa-chan." All the Shinachikus and Hanamis said with frowns and pouts as they put all the material down as then all the clones dispersed into smoke as the brother and sister walked out of the kitchen.
"Good. Now, Shina, you set the table. Hanami, wake your brother. Naruto, help me out in the kitchen." Sakura ordered with a much calm, yet firm tone.
"Hai, kaa-chan/Sakura-chan." All three said in unison.
Hanami then ran off back out the living room/dining room to run upstairs to wake her younger brother, while Shinachiku started to get the items to set the table as Naruto then followed his wife into the kitchen.
Sakura sighed as she made her way to the kitchen counter.
"Those two. It's always something between them in the morning." Sakura lightly complained as she grabbed the mixing bowl.
"At least the mornings aren't boring." Naruto said with a smile as he helped out his wife.
"Still, I expect a little less chaos today. It is his special day after all." Sakura mentioned.
"Oh come on. Sure, Arashi's a quiet one, but that doesn't mean he enjoys quiet and boring things. Well, except whenever he's reading. Then everybody has to be quiet, dattebaro." Naruto said.
"It still surprises me that Shinachiku and Arashi are both bookworms who prefer things to have a bit more order to them… and you're their father, of all people." Sakura joked with a smirk.
"Hey~." Naruto said with a pout. "Aw, who am I kidding? I'm shocked too. Guess they inherited that part from tou-chan. I mean, they kind of remind me of him. Shina especially. Arashi's more like his mother. Just without the shouting when he gets upset."
"In this family, I have to shout to get my point across. And don't start calling the kettle black there, my darling husband." Sakura retorted.
"Aw come on~, you know as scary as you can be, I love that about you. Real attractive, dattebaro." Naruto said with a grin as he then hugged his wife and started kissing her neck.
"Naruto~, quit it!" Sakura whined with a flustered frown and red blush on her cheeks.
"What? Kids aren't around." Naruto said with a smile.
"Yes, we are~! And we can still here you! Well… I can still hear." Shinachiku complained with an embarrassed and disgusted frown as he continued to set up the table.
"Then plug up your ears!" Naruto called out, but then he was suddenly splashed with cold water, making him shiver a bit with wide eyes.
"Cool off, big boy. We got work to do." Sakura said, putting on a dignified composure with her head held high.
"Alright, alright. I'll help speed up the process." Naruto said with a smile as he then made several clones to help out.
'Man, Hanami just had to inherit his lack of control.' Shinachiku thought as he rolled his eyes.
Speak of the devil, she came rushing back in with a huge Uzumaki grin.
"Presenting~ the Birthday Boy!" Hanami proclaimed with pride and excitement as she gestured towards the open doorway as Arashi walked in, wearing over his pale-yellow with blue lining pajamas was a long blue haori and a red cape over that, both with storm cloud designs on them, and having a tall eboshi hat atop his head with their clan's symbol, the red Uzumaki swirl surrounded by the white Haruno ring, plastered on the front and held within one of his hands was a shakujō staff.
"I woke up like this." Arashi shared with a small frown.
"Can't imagine how." Shinachiku said with a sarcastic tone as he glanced over to a still grinning Hanami with a dull expression.
"Always plan ahead, dattebara!" Hanami said with a victory hand sign as her grin widened.
"I still don't know how you did this without waking me up!" Arashi said as he looked down to his new attire.
"That sounds like the birthday boy~." Sakura chimed as she made her way out of the kitchen with a special breakfast in her hands, but she gasped at the sight of her youngest in the most adorable outfit she has ever seen him in. "Oh my gosh! Look how cute you are, Arashi-kun!" Sakura said with a big gushing smile, as Naruto walked out and laughed at the adorable sight.
"Hey~, looking good there, Arashi!" Naruto said with a big ol' grin.
"Can I please take this off?" Arashi pleaded.
"Not yet! I have to get the camera! Naruto, hold this!" Sakura said as she gave Naruto the special breakfast as she hurried out of the room to find a camera to take a picture of her son.
Arashi sighed as he then looked to his still grinning sister.
"You love to torture me like this." Arashi said with a pout.
"I'm just helping you start off your big day with style is all!" Hanami said, still grinning as she wrapped an arm around her still pouting brother, who groaned in response.
"It does look good on you." Shinachiku admitted with a smile.
"Not helping, onii-chan." Arashi said, furrowing his brow a bit.
"Okay, I'm back!" Sakura said as she reentered the dining room with a camera. "Say 'mochi~'!" Sakura said as she readied to take a picture.
"Mochi~!" Hanami called out as she pulled away and directed her hands towards Arashi in a showman manner, while the redheaded Uzumaki just groaned with a pout as their mother took the picture.
"Oh~, I never get tired of that cute little pout of yours." Sakura said with a gushing smile as she pinched her youngest's cheek.
"Can I take this off now?" Arashi asked, practically begging a little.
"Eh, why not have breakfast first, then you can dress for the day, okay?" Naruto said with a bright smile as he placed his son's special breakfast onto the table.
"You guys just want me to be dressed like this for a while longer." Arashi deduced with a frown.
"Won't lie, I like seeing you dressed like that." Shinachiku said with a small grin.
"Again. Not helping, onii-chan." Arashi said with a pout.
"Oh, quit pouting and go enjoy your breakfast!" Hanami said with a grin as she gently started pushing her younger brother towards the dining table. "I helped with it until onii-chan came in and stopped me from giving it some pizzazz." Hanami added as she directed a glare and pout to their elder brother.
"I think you delivered enough pizzazz on your birthday to satisfy us for the rest of the year, dattebaro." Shinachiku retorted with half-lidded stern eyes and a frown.
"Yeah right! Enough is never enough around here!" Hanami retorted back.
"That's because you never stop with it!" Shinachiku countered.
"Save it for after breakfast you two!" Sakura ordered with an authoritative tone and stern expression.
"Alley-oop." Naruto said as he grabbed his youngest and lift him up onto his chair.
"Tou-chan, I don't need to be carried like that." Arashi complained as his father sat him down.
"Aw, come on, you just turned five today. You're still young enough to not be embarrassed by that." Naruto said with a grin.
"I still am though. I'm mature for my age, datteba-" Arashi cleared his throat to stop him from saying his phrase which he had inherited from his father. "I just am." Arashi said with his arms crossed.
"Really now? Well dang." Naruto said as he stood up straight and tapped his chin in 'thought'. "Guess if that's true than you don't need this special breakfast your mother and I made just for you." Naruto said, gesturing a stack of pancakes that had strawberry syrup in the center in the form of a large swirl with a ring of whip surrounding it, making their clan's symbol, which also had a strawberry in the middle and surrounding the pancakes were more strawberries in the form of a heart with strawberry syrup coated all around the edges of the plate. Arashi's eyes widened when he saw the smorgasbord before him with a little bit of drool coming down the side of his mouth. "After all, this isn't the kind of breakfast a very mature individual should have after all, dattebayo." Naruto said with a smile as he grabbed the plate.
"NO! It's Mine, Dattebare!" Arashi cried out as he grabbed the plate, only to blush at his sudden outburst. "I-I mean, I guess it's fine to allow myself just a little bit of freedom. I am five now, so I suppose it's fine to be like any other five-year-old, especially today of all days." Arashi said with his arms crossed and eyes closed as he tried to put on a calm yet strong expression, only for it to come off as a pout.
Naruto and Hanami laughed with big ol' Uzumaki grins on their faces while Shinachiku chuckled and Sakura giggled, both with smiles on their faces.
Arashi grabbed a napkin from the table and tucked in onto the front of his shirt, turning it into a makeshift bib as he then brought his hands together in prayer.
"Itadakimasu." Arashi said as he then grabbed a plastic spoon and knife, cut into the pancakes, take a piece and lathering it a bit into the strawberry syrup at the edge of the plate and took a bite, as then once his mother took a picture of him biting into it, his eyes widened as he remained still for a moment, before quickly starting to dig into his breakfast.
"Guess he likes it." Hanami said with a grin, causing Arashi to flinch as he then quickly swallowed the food in his mouth and wiped his mouth with his napkin before hopping off out of his seat.
"Arigato, kaa-chan, tou-chan." Arashi said as he bowed to bot his parents.
"No problem. It's your birthday, so enjoy it all to your heart's content." Naruto said with a smile as he knelt in front of Arashi and kissed his forehead.
"P-Papa!" Arashi called out in embarrassment before his mother then knelt in front of her youngest child and kissed him on the forehead as well.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, Arashi-kun." Sakura said to her youngest with a warm, loving smile that Arashi couldn't help but return. "Now go on and enjoy the rest of your breakfast."
"Only if you all join me." Arashi said.
"Already ahead of ya." Naruto said as his clones came in and placed pancakes just like Arashi's onto the table for the others before dispersing.
Sakura helped Arashi back onto his seat as she and the others then sat down and brought their hands in prayer as well.
"Itadakimasu!" They all cheered with big grins on their face, with Arashi smiling widely, before gaining a grin of his own as they all enjoyed their breakfast together.
"You know, if this breakfast excites you this much, you're gonna love the surprise I got in line for you!" Hanami said with her mouth full.
"No More Surprises!" Sakura, Shinachiku and Arashi exclaimed with disapproving looks.
Hanami groaned with a pout before swallowing her food.
"You and I are in a lonely world, tou-chan." Hanami said to her father with a frown.
"Yeah, but at least we have each other to rely on." Naruto said with his Uzumaki grin as ruffled his daughter's hair, who gave her own Uzumaki grin in response, happy that her dad was always on her side.
.
.
After breakfast, the family got ready for the rest of the day.
Arashi got out of his pajamas, along with get up he woke up in courtesy of his sister, which he still does not know how she accomplished without stirring him from his sleep. After taking a bath, Arashi came back downstairs now wearing his short sleeve shirt that was yellow and blue with the blue covering the upper half where the shoulders and chest was and under that was yellow with vertical lines and yellow lining at the ends of the sleeves. He also wore a pair of cedar brown shorts.
"You look ready to take on the day." Hanami said to her brother with a big grin.
"Whatever it is you are planning, I want no part in it." Arashi said with a frown as he knew his sister was still going to initiate whatever surprise she had planned for him today.
"You know, today may be your day, but the one thing someone has no right to say no to on their birthday are surprise from people who care about you, especially when they're meant to make you super happy!" Hanami said with her head held high with a cat-like smile on her face.
'I doubt I'm going to be happy with whatever you got in that cooky noodle of yours.' Arashi thought as he turned away with a frown and half-lidded eyes.
"Heading off to work." Naruto said as he started putting on his shinobi sandals. "I'll see you guys later today, alright?" He said as he got up and grabbed his short-sleeved orange haori with black flames.
"Gotcha! Have a wonderful day, tou-chan!" Hanami said with a grin and wave.
"See you later, papa." Arashi said as he gave his father a small wave goodbye. Naruto suddenly grabbed Arashi and lifted him up to give him several kisses on his forehead. "P-Papa~!" Arashi whined with an embarrassed frown and blush.
"Ja ne, my little Ichigo no Shōnen!" (Strawberry Boy) Naruto said with a big Uzumaki grin as he held his son up.
"I hate it when people call me that." Arashi muttered with a pout as he looked to the side with his arms crossed.
"Well, that's what happens when you're more obsessed with strawberries than ramen, dattebara." Hanami said with a smug, teasing smile and her hands behind the back of her head.
"She's got you there, dattebaro." Shinachiku said as he walked over.
"I don't like salty things like the two of you do, so what?!" Arashi exclaimed with a deeper pout.
"Alright you two, enough hassling your brother." Sakura said as she walked over. Once she saw her husband place their youngest down, she smirked as she walked over towards him, but not before kneeling to Arashi. "Cover your eyes." Sakura whispered, surprising Arashi for a moment before he quickly put his hands over his eyes just as his mother stood back up.
"Hmm?" Shinachiku and Hanami looked to their younger brother with raised eyebrows, confused on what he was doing.
They only realized a little too late as their mother walked over to their father, grabbed him by the shoulders and dipped him as she smacked her lips onto her own, giving him a long, big kiss, causing Naruto's eyes to widen, while their eldest son and daughter flinched in disgust.
"Aw, come on!" Shinachiku exclaimed as he turned his head away in disgust and embarrassment with his hands to cover his line of sight, despite his eyes already closed, while Hanami turned her head away while gagging with her tongue out and finger pointing towards her open mouth, making the 'wanna barf' gesture.
Arashi chuckled with a smile as he heard his siblings' disgust at the sight of their parent's expressing their love.
Sakura pulled her lips back as she brought Naruto back up with a big old dumb smile on his face as his eyes were wide, clearly shellshocked and blissfully dazed by his wife's sudden show of affection.
"I… duh… wow…" Naruto wasn't able to form any coherent sentence as he was still feeling the effects of the amazing kiss his wife had just given him.
"We'll see you later in a couple of hours, hon." Sakura said with a smile and pair of eye smiles as she patted her husband's shoulder.
"R-Right." Naruto said as he was moving a side to side a bit, feeling wobbly from the aftershock of being kissed so amazingly. "Where am I going?" Naruto asked, still dazed and unable to think clearly for the moment.
"You're heading off to work, dear. Towards the Hokage Tower where your office is, remember?" Sakura said, still smiling and with a pair of eye smiles as she turned her husband towards the door and gently pushed him forward.
"Right… tower… office… far away… sayonara." Naruto said, still dazed as he walked right into the door. "Ow." Naruto said as he opened the door and walked out. He stumbled a bit as he hopped to one side on one foot a few times, before stepping with his out and twirled around on it towards the other side. Once finally shaking his head to clear himself of the daze, he gained a super huge grin as he finally processed everything with upmost glee. "YAHOO!" Naruto shouted out as he rocketed into the air and then went into his Kyūbi Chakura Mōdo (Nine-Tails Chakra Mode) and bulleted through the sky towards the Hokage Tower like a shooting star.
Sakura smiled at this scene with her hands on her hips.
"Sometimes I really forget the power I have over that man." Sakura said, shaking her head, still smiling.
"Yeah, we've noticed." Shinachiku said with a dull expression.
"It goes academy student, to genin, to chunin, to jonin, to ANBU, to Hokage, and finally you, kaa-chan." Hanami said, using her hand to gesture each level from bottom to top.
"And don't you forget it." Sakura said, pointing to her children with a smirk. "Come on, Arashi. Let's go visit grandma and grandpa." Sakura said as she extended her hand to her son.
"Hai, mama." Arashi said as he took his mother's hand.
"Hanami, behave yourself." Sakura said to her daughter.
"I'll try." Hanami said with her hands behind her head as she shrugged.
"Shina, do what you can." Sakura said to her eldest.
"Yes, ma'am." Shinachiku said to his mother with a salute as his sister looked to him with a small frown and half-lidded eyes.
"Alright. We'll see you two later at the meeting place." Sakura said as she and Arashi started heading out.
"Ja ne, onii-chan, onee-chan." Arashi said goodbye to his siblings with a wave.
"Later, Arashi." Shinachiku said with a smile and wave.
"Otanjōbiomedetō! Mata ne!" (Happy Birthday! See Ya!) Hanami called out with a big grin and her hands to the sides of her mouth to increase her yell.
"Onee-chan, no surprises!" Arashi called out, pointing to his sister with a small glare.
"Boo~! Now you're sounding as boring as onii-chan!" Hanami called out with a pout and her eyes closed, ignoring the dull glare and frown she was getting from their elder brother.
Sakura and Arashi soon left the property and headed into the village to go visit Sakura's parents.
After seeing them off, Shinachiku looked to Hanami, who had her hands behind her head as she had a calm, cool expression with a smile and half-lidded eyes.
"I'm not getting any sort of alert of devious intent from you… that scares me. What the hell?" Shinachiku questioned with narrowed eyes.
"Hey, I said I got a surprised lined up, but I know our otōto (little brother). Big and exciting aren't his thing, I know that. You guys should have more faith in me, dattebara." Hanami said with her lips out and her eyes still half-lidded. "Anyway, I'm just gonna walk around the village. See if there's anything to do before we meet up for to see her. Ja ne." Hanami said as she headed out the door.
Shinachiku watched as his sister left their home, not a care in the world and seemingly having no intent to stir any trouble. After a moment he just sighed.
"Already had to worry about her too much on her birthday, I think I'll just let things be just this once." Shinachiku said as he decided to head out himself, but not before he closed the door to their home and locked it.
.
.
Sakura and Arashi were walking through the village, making their way to Sakura's parent's bakery.
"Do you think Hanami's surprise is going to be like all her other surprises or on a lesser scale?" Arashi asked his mother.
"Well, I know how that girl can act. She's practically a super Naruto, and I've told you how 'expressive' he was when he was her age, but for some reason, something is telling me not to worry like we usually do." Sakura said, sporting a small smile.
"Are you serious?" Arashi questioned, not convinced.
"Trust me, I know how it sounds. Even I'm shocked that I just said it, but I feel it right here." Sakura said, gently pressing her thumb into her gut.
"Now you're sounding just like tou-chan." Arashi said with a bit of a dull and worried frown, causing his mother to chuckle with a bit of embarrassment.
"Well, that's what happens when you've been with someone for more than half your life. They manage to rub off on you whether you realize it or not." Sakura said with a bit of embarrassed, but still happy smile as she lightly scratched her cheek.
"Does this mean the same is going to happen if I hang out too long with Hanami?" Arashi asked with a worried expression.
"No~, of course not. Well, not in the way you're clearly thinking it. In fact, I can't even imagine you even trying to act like her, let alone adopt some of her traits." Sakura said with an amused smile.
"Let's hope it stays that way." Arashi said as he looked forward with a small look of relief, causing his mother to chuckle.
'Funny. I always thought the same with Naruto back when we first started as a team. Now look at us. No matter how much I pushed him away, he managed to make his way into my heart.' Sakura thought with a bright smile. Her eyes then softened as she looked down to her youngest. 'And he gave me so much more than I could have ever dreamed of. That man… he gave me you, Arashi-kun. He gave me all of you, and the happiest life I could ever imagine.' Sakura thought as her smile widened.
She suddenly stopped, grabbed her son, and brought him into a tight, yet gentle embrace that was filled with so much warmth.
Arashi was certainly surprised by this and even more so when his mother started leaving kisses all over his cheek.
"Kaa-chan~! Not you too! We're in public!" Arashi complained as nearby civilians laughed and gushed at the affection the Head Medic/Hokage's wife was giving to her youngest. "I expect this from tou-chan, O bāchan and Ojīchan, and Tsunade-O bāchan, but not from you, dattebare!"
"Like I said, people you spend so much time with rub off on you." Sakura said with a bright smile.
After putting him down, the mother and son continued to walk. They noticed that they were coming by the Yamanaka flower shop, where they found Ino outside talking to Hinata, with the blue haired woman's daughter/middle child, Kure, right by her side, holding a bouquet while her mother was holding a bag.
Ino noticed them, causing her to smile brightly.
"Well, look who it is. The birthday boy! And he's walking with his mama! How cute!" Ino said with a bright smile as Sakura and Arashi walked over.
"Why are you making it sound like a big deal, obasan?" Arashi questioned with a minor frown.
"Morning you two." Hinata greeted the mother and son with a pleasant smile.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, Arashi-kun!" Kure said to the young Uzumaki with a bright smile
"Hai, Otanjōbiomedetō." Hinata said as her smile widened to the youngest of the Uzumaki clan.
"Arigato, Hinata-obasan, Kure-san." Arashi thanked the blue and dark-haired mother and daughter with a pleasant smile on his face.
"Oh~, I can't resist!" Ino said with joy and excitement as she rushed over towards the young Uzumaki.
"Oh no, not again!" Arashi cried out as Ino then grabbed him, lift him up and gave him a deep hug followed by kissing him all over. "Obasan~, not you too!" Arashi cried out with an embarrassed frown and his cheeks turning red.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, my Ichigo no Shōnen!" Ino said with pure glee as she had a bright smile on her face as she hugged Arashi very close to her.
"Why does this keep happening today?" Arashi said with a pout and his arms crossed.
"Well, it is your birthday." Sakura said with an amused smile.
"Still." Arashi said, continuing to pout as his aunt Ino kept kissing him over and over again on his cheek.
"Oh, I just got an idea for something. Obasan, can I get more of your flowers so I can make something?" Kure asked, looking up to Ino.
"Yeah, sure. It's on the house." Ino said with a smile as she let down Arashi.
"Arigato!" Kure thanked the blonde woman with a bow before handing the bouquet she was holding to her mother then ran into the flower shop, where she started taking several specific flowers then hurrying over to Ino's counter where her florist tools were and started using them for something with the flowers.
"Just look at her go and with such enthusiasm." Ino said with a smile. "Forgive me for sounding rude Hinata, but even though it's clear his looks are in there, it still surprises met that the little ball of sunshine in there is Sasuke's daughter."
"I understand what you mean. Even Sasuke-kun is surprised such a cheery girl came from him." Hinata said with an amused smile.
"Then again, the same can be said for little Arashi here." Ino teased as she knelt and ruffled the young Uzumaki's red locks, making him groan with embarrassment and minor annoyance.
"It is rather surprising that the only loud one in the bunch is Hanami. Shina-chan and Arashi take more after me and even Naruto's father, Yondaime-sama." Sakura said with a smile and a pair of eye smiles.
"More so your Ojīchan seeing as your mother can match your father at the drop of a hat." Ino whispered to Arashi with a sly smirk and eyes.
"What was that? Wanna repeat that again, Ino-buta (Pig)?" Sakura questioned with a miffed frown and small glare as she leaned down with her hands on her hips.
"Oh, no, that's fine." Ino said with a bit of a nervous smile and eye smile as she gave a dismissive wave.
"Finish!" Kure called out as she ran over back to the group and showed that she had made a wreath.
"A wreath?" Sakura questioned with surprise.
"Damn, that's fast." Ino said with shock and awe at Kure's efficiency and speed.
"Here you go." Kure placed the wreath upon Arashi's head, now acting as a crown.
'First the attire I woke up with this morning and now this.' Arashi thought with a small pout as he gently grasped the wreath crown so as not to harm the flowers it was made out of.
"I made sure that it was arranged with the important ones. See?" Kure started pointing to each different flower to list them off. "The yellow rose for friendship, warmth and joy, which you share with those precious to you, like Inori and me, and even your siblings. A lily for how pure you are. A daisy for both your innocence and simplicity as all you want is to study new things and not wanting to pursue a shinobi's life. An iris for your wisdom as you are so smart for your age. Asters for your patience. Purple lilacs for spirituality because I heard that you have to be spiritual to instantly connect with animals, which you always do. And finally, I managed to find this one, which I can't believe I managed to find as it's the most perfect one." Kure pointed to a rose in the center that was red, but it had white petals at its edges, surrounding the red. "It's a rose that's both red and white, and just like your clan's symbol, both its colors together stand for unity. Because no matter what comes your way, your family will always be there for you, because the bond and love for one another is so strong! In fact, I'd say it's unbreakable!" Kure finished with a bright smile on her face.
Arashi blinked his eyes in surprise as he then took off the crown of flowers from his head and looked to the rose in the center, and just like she said, it was mostly red, with white petals surrounding the red ones, forming a perfect ring of them at the flower's edges. It looked just like the symbol his mom and dad made together.
"Huh… never knew a flower like this existed." Arashi said with surprise and a warmth in his heart as he stared at rose in the center of his new crown.
"That's the beauty of them! You're never going to know what they'll grow up into until they finally bloom." Kure said with a pair of eye smiles as her smile brightened more.
"Huh…" Arashi thought over her words as he continued staring at the flower.
Sakura smiled as she looked to the perfect little rose on the wreath crown, then to her baby boy, who was born through her and Naruto's union.
"What do you, Arashi?" Sakura said to her son.
"Huh? Oh, arigato, Kure-chan." Arashi thanked the young Uchiha-Hyūga girl.
"No problem, Arashi-kun." Kure said with a friendly smile as she then leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, surprising the Uzumaki.
"W-What Was That For?!" Arashi exclaimed as he pulled back with his cheeks now burning red.
"What? Friends kiss each other on the cheek on big days, don't they?" Kure questioned with a shrug.
"Aw~, such a little Casanova~." Ino said with a teasing grin as she leaned down and nudged the youngest Uzumaki, making him groan and frown with embarrassment, while Kure looked to the blonde woman in confusion.
"Sh-Sh-Shouldn't we be getting to Ojīchan and O bāchan's place now, kaa-chan?" Arashi quickly asked his mother, wanting to get away from further embarrassment.
"Definitely his mother's child." Ino said with a smile as she stood up straight, holding her left cheek and shaking her head.
Sakura growled at her friend a bit with a deep frown, her arms crossed, and brow furrowed as she glared at Ino, who just shrugged with a bit of a smug smile on her face.
"Thank you for the lovely gesture, Kure-chan." Sakura said to the young dark-haired flower enthusiast, earning a wider smile from the young girl. "Sorry to cut this short, but I want Arashi to spend as much time with my parents' as he can before meeting with Naruto and the rest of my kids at the meeting spot." Sakura said to Ino and Hinata.
"Gotcha, Forehead." Ino said with a smile.
"We won't keep you." Hinata said with a polite smile and small bow.
"See you all later." Sakura said as she gently grabbed Arashi's hand after he put his wreath crown back.
"Abayo." (Bye) Arashi said as he and his mother headed out, with the young redhead waving goodbye to them.
"Mata ne (See you!), Arashi-kun! Obasan!" Kure called out, waving the mother and son goodbye.
"That crown of flowers works well on Arashi-kun." Hinata said with a smile.
"It sure does. Then again, anything looks cute on that boy." Ino said with her own smile. "Considering how good it looks and how fast you made it, I should hire you one day, Kure-chan." Ino said, smiling down to the Uchiha-Hyūga child.
"I'd be honored! Although, it would be kind of weird considering I want to own my own flower shop one day." Kure said to the head of the Yamanaka clan.
"Then I better be careful with you or else you might put me out of business." Ino said with a grin.
"I would never, nor would I want to!" Kure said as she gained a worried look on her face at the idea of putting the Yamanaka family out of business.
"I kid, I kid." Ino said with a grin and dismissive wave while Hinata giggled in amusement at her daughter's reaction.
Away from them, Sakura and Arashi were continuing on their way to Sakura's parents' bakery to pay them a visit.
The pink haired woman looked down to her son, staring at the crown of flowers resting upon his head.
"That really does suit you, Ara-chan." Sakura said, smiling to her son, making him flinch.
"I-It's… not bad, I guess." Arashi said with a small pout and his cheeks red.
"You really are my son." Sakura said with a giggle, making her son have an embarrassed frown with his cheeks becoming hotter.

Hanami whistled a tune as she walked through the streets of the village with her hands behind her head. She blissfully was minding her own business as she travelled through the village, but she could sense that she was causing nearby civilians to feel discomfort at her nonchalant behavior. She knew why. It came with the territory of being the successor to Konoha's Prankster King from Hell. It's not like she could complain though. It just meant she was doing her self-appointed job right, so she took it in stride.
However, despite her reputation, she has decided to try to restrain her impulses today. It is her younger brother's birthday after all, and she knows how he is, so she's going to try to keep things more on the downlow.
Though, there were moments where her conviction was tested.
"There! Almost done!"
"Hmm?" Hanami turned her head to see a group of painters decorating the front of a restaurant with a design of a dragon within a sea with sushi ingredients all over the waves of the artwork.
"I guess we didn't need these extra cans of paint." A male worker said, gesturing to many buckets of paint beside their group.
"You think we might be able to get out money back so long as we don't open them?" A female worker asked.
"We could just save them for another day." Another male worker suggested.
"Good call." The first worker said as then they all heard a growl, making them turn to one of the female workers.
"Suman." The female worker apologized with an embarrassed frown and hanging her head a bit.
"No worries. Let's take that as our que for a lunchbreak." The first worker said as they all headed off to lunch.
Hanami's pigtails almost seemed like they started to rise with excitement as she stared at the spare paint cans with super wide. Her gaze then glanced to the mural on the front of the restaurant and then back to the paint cans.
'Must… resist… impulse to paint…' Hanami thought as she tried to calm her nerves, but then she felt her body starting to shake with pent-up excitement. 'Not resisting well!' Hanami mentally screamed, letting out a rising, excited moan as her body started to shake more and her lips began to form a smile that widened more and more with every second. "Must Paint Tiger!" Hanami called out with a grin and her hands up with her fingers twitching.
Hanami suddenly started to speed over, but something was tossed in front of her, as upon instinct, she grabbed it. She looked to the item in her hand to see it was a food bar, but not just any food bar. It was an Ichiraku Ramen Miso Pork Bar! She blinked her eyes a few times before turning her head to see a familiar face smiling at her.
"I think that's the longest I've seen you fight your impulses in a long while, Hanami-chan." Iruka said with a smile and eye smiles.
"Ojisan!" (Uncle!) Hanami called out as she ran over and wrapped her arms around Iruka's waist, causing the tan skinned man to chuckle as he hugged her back. "Thanks." Hanami said as she pulled back, unwrapped the bar and took a bit, moaning with delight in the process as she chewed. "Man, it's so hard to try and go cold turkey for a day, dattebara." Hanami said as she continued to chew on her food bar.
"For a special occasion, eh?" Iruka 'asked' with a knowing smile.
"Duh. Arashi's birthday. You know that Ojisan." Hanami said as she took another bite of her ramen bar.
"Indeed I do." Iruka said with a smile and a pair of eye smiles. "How could I? I still remember how excited your father was when he heard the due date."
.
.
"July 10th! Can you believe it, Iruka-sensei?" Naruto exclaimed with excitement as he stood in front of his old academy teacher's desk, who was now the current principal of the academy.
"I heard the first time Naruto." Iruka responded.
"Right, sorry. It's just… July 10th! Can you believe it?!" Naruto said, still filled with such ecstatic energy.
"You're always excited whenever you and Sakura are having a child, but I don't think I've ever seen you be more so than with this one." Iruka said with eye smiles.
"Well, I don't mean to sound like I've been less excited with Shina and Hanami-chan, but… July 10th, can you believe it, Iruka-sensei?!" Naruto exclaimed with a huge Uzumaki grin.
'It's just like when he was younger.' Iruka thought with a sweat drop, but having a smile on his face, proud nonetheless for his younger brother/son figure. "So, are you just a clone?" Iruka asked.
"Nah. I was so excited to spread the word myself that I just made clones to deal with whatever while I told everyone. You're my first stop." Naruto answered.
"Do you have enough time for some celebratory ramen?"
"With you Iruka-sensei? Anytime, dattebayo!" Naruto answered with a grin, causing Iruka to smile as he and Naruto then left to celebrate the hopeful due date.
.
.
"Naruto was so proud that Arashi's due date was accurate." Iruka said with a smile.
"He was even more happy to find out he was born a redhead, dattebara." Hanami said with a smile before taking another bite of her ramen bar, only to realize that she just finished it. "Aw man, I was so distracted that I didn't savor it."
"How about having the real deal? My treat." Iruka offered.
"Really?!" Hanami looked up to him with sparkling eyes and a huge grin, but then a thought came to mind. "Hey, wait a minute… are you offering because you actually want to or because you don't want to leave me be with stuff like this around the village?" Hanami questioned with suspicious, narrowed eyes as she pointed to the spare paint cans near the unfinished mural.
"Both. It's no different from how I was with your father." Iruka admitted with a bit of an embarrassed smile and pair of eye smiles.
"Mm~." Hanami narrowed her eyes more as she pursed her lips with her fists pressed against her hips. "Eh. Ramen's ramen." Hanami said with a shrug.
'Naruto's daughter alright.' Iruka thought with an amused smile.
"I got to go there anyway. There's something I need to check up on, dattebara." Hanami said as she started walking towards the direction of the restaurant.
"Hmm?" Iruka raised an eyebrow and blinked his eyes, before following after the pink haired girl.
.
.
Shinachiku was walking around the village himself. He walked down the streets of Konoha, minding his own business with his hands in his pockets. Though normally whenever he saw Hanami head off from home, he would be worried and pray that things wouldn't go as they usually did. Today, he was pretty confident that she wasn't going to cause any trouble. Uh, intentionally that is. He's pretty sure her impulses would get to her, unless someone was there to stop her.
He decided to put his trust that someone would be there for her when the 'itch' came about. Hopefully, the gods would heed his prayers and make sure things don't escalate to such dizzying heights of unruliness.
For now, he'll just focus on some him time until he meets his family up later.
'Let's see… tou-chan is working, kaa-chan will be with Arashi visiting O bāchan and Ojīchan, and Hanami will… please kami-samas, keep her from causing too much of a fuss.' Shinachiku thought to himself.
"Hello, Shina-kun!" The blonde was brought out of his thoughts by a familiar voice, causing him to turn to see none other than his teammate, Tsukia, with a much taller orange haired girl beside her.
"Oh, Tsukia, Miho! Ohayo!" Shinachiku greeted the pair of girls.
Miho is a teenage girl, a few years older than Shinachiku and Tsukia, who was five foot seven with long orange hair that was feathered at the bottom, had long locks framing the sides of her face and ending at the middle of her sizeable bust, and had bangs over her forehead that were brushed to the right and had a pink clip at the end of it, tying it to the rest of her hair. Her eyes were honey golden and she had a peach skin tone. She wore a long golden sundress that stopped halfway at her shins/calves, a leather belt with a silver ring belt buckle, brown flats with golden pins in the shape of butterflies on them, and she wore a red open button sweater.
"Ohayo, Shina-san." Miho greeted Shinachiku with a small nod as her eyes were downcast.
"Hey, no need to feel so nervous Miho-san. I know you're new here, but we're friends, dattebaro." Shinachiku said with a smile.
"I-I know. Still though…" Miho said with a small, embarrassed smile as her eyes still.
"I get it. Things take time. Heck, it took my kaa-chan a long while before she started seeing tou-chan as someone she wanted to be with as more than friends, 'ttebaro." Shinachiku said with an understanding smile.
"And it took my own hahaoya just as much time to be the confident and strong woman you met her as." Tsukia added with a smile. "You'll be more comfortable in Konoha soon. I'm willing to bet much quicker than you'd expect." Tsukia said with a supportive smile as she placed a supportive and comforting hand on the orange haired girl's shoulder.
"H-Hai." Miho said as she felt a bit more nervous, but somehow at the same time she also felt relieved about hearing this.
"Actually, hahaoya told me you kind of remind her of herself when she was younger." Tsukia added with an amused and slightly teasing smile and a pair of eye smiles.
"H-Huh? H-Hinata-sama?! Really?" Miho questioned with a red blush on her cheeks as she had an embarrassed and slightly nervous smile as her heart started to race some.
"S-Sorry if I'm making you feel nervous, Miho-chan." Tsukia said with a worried expression and her hands up as she was feeling worried that she crossed a bit of a line.
"N-No, it's fine! I-I'm not getting anxious, just surprised is all." Miho said, mirroring Tsukia's expression and hand gesture.
"Man, you two really act like sisters." Shinachiku said with a smile.
"S-Shina-kun!" Tsukia exclaimed the blonde's name in surprise and a red blush.
"S-Sisters?! N-Nani?!" Miho exclaimed with a nervous expression as her cheeks were red.
"Oh, suman. That just came out, 'ttebaro." Shinachiku apologized with a small bow and rubbing the back of his head. He finally noticed the bags in the girls' arms. "You two were shopping?" Shinachiku asked.
"Y-Yes! We were going to get groceries but we kind of got lost in clothes shopping when we cut through the shopping center." Tsukia answered, trying to change the direction of the conversation.
"I-I saw something nice and I… kind of wanted it." Miho said with an embarrassed blush as she looked nervously down to her feet as she showed off a bag filled with clothes from one of the shops. "Y-You know, for tonight." Miho added as she lowered her head in embarrassment.
"Oh, Gurēto! I'm sure it'll look nice." Shinachiku said with a grin.
"I hope so." Miho said.
"It will." Tsukia said, giving the tall, orange haired girl a bright smile, who smiled back to her with a much calmer smile.
"Yo, Shina!" A voice called out, catching their attention as they all turned to see Iwabe with Denki.
"Ohayo, Shinachiku-kun!" Denki greeted the blonde Uzumaki with a smile.
"Yo, Iwabe, Denki." Shinachiku greeted the pair with a smile.
"D-Denki-kun." Miho whispered the younger boy's name as she hid the bottom half of her blushing face behind her shopping bag.
"Hello, Denki-kun, Iwabe-kun." Tsukia greeted the pair.
"Yo." Iwabe greeted her with a nod.
"Hello, Tsukia." Denki greeted the Uchiha-Hyūga with a smile
"Ko… Ko… Ko…" Miho stuttered a bit as she tried finding the strength to speak. She took a deep breath through her nose as she quickly spoke. "KON'NICHIWA, DENKI-KUN!" Miho screamed out, causing the four, and nearby civilians, to look to her in surprised, causing her face to turn all red. "A-And hello, Iwabe-kun." Miho added as her eyes were downcast.
"Uh… hey." Iwabe greeted the orange haired girl with a bit of a dull expression.
"Uh, ohayo, Miho-san." Denki greeted the tall girl. "How are you?"
"Fine. Just… went shopping." Miho said as she showed off her shopping bag. "A-Are you e-excited for tonight?" Miho asked as she glanced to the side.
"Tonight?" Iwabe questioned with a raised eyebrow as he looked down to Denki.
"Don't you remember what today is, Iwabe-kun?" Denki questioned.
After a moment, Iwabe recalled what today is.
"Oh, right! Shina, come with me!" Iwabe said as he grabbed Shinachiku's arm.
"Huh? Nande?!" (Why?!) Shinachiku questioned as Iwabe suddenly dragged him away.
"C-Chotto matte, Iwabe-kun!" Denki called out as he ran after his male friends.
"I'll see you later tonight, Shina-kun!" Tsukia called out to her teammate.
"Right! Sorry to cut and run, dattebaro! See you then!" Shinachiku called out as Iwabe continued to drag him away at a fast pace with Denki following behind.
"Sayonara, Tsukia-san, Miho-san!" Denki said farewell to the two as he tried to catch up to Iwabe and Shinachiku.
"Abayo, Denki-kun!" Tsukia said farewell to the Kaminarimon heir with a smile, eye smiles and wave.
Miho just stared at the spectacled shinobi's retreating form with a nerve-racked expression as her face was burning red. Once they were out of sight, Miho released a big exhale as she was now drenched in sweat.
"That was so scary~!" Miho said as she placed a hand over her rapid-beating heart.
"Are you okay? Do you need something?" Tsukia asked with concern.
"No worries. I'm stable. I'm not that rattled." Miho said with a nervous frown as she tried calming herself. "I just don't know how you do it, Tsukia-chan. Talking to the person you have feelings for is so scary sometimes." Miho said, causing Tsukia to flinch with her face turning red.
"W-Well, it gets easier after a while." Tsukia said, putting on a smile. "Except when it's not." Tsukia admitted with an embarrassed frown.
.
.
"You dragged me away just so I can help you with shopping?" Shinachiku questioned as he, Iwabe and Denki stood within the shopping center. "What are you shopping for anyway?" Shinachiku asked.
"What does it matter?" Iwabe questioned.
"Well for one, if you're looking for my help, I need to know what exactly you're interested in to buy, and two, you're Iwabe. You willing to shop here right out of the blue can't help, but raise some flags, dattebaro." Shinachiku retorted.
"I'm… changing my perspective a little on things. I thought you would approve on such an idea, Shina." Iwabe said with his hands in his pockets as he held his head high and turned it to the side.
Shina and Denki looked to one another in confusion for a moment.
"Iwabe-kun, you were in a bit of a hurry to drag away Shinachiku-kun. Is there a reason for that?" Denki asked.
"I thought you'd be happy that I did since I also dragged you away from Miho." Iwabe retorted.
"H-Hold on, that is not- I mean, uh… Shina-kun!" Denki looked to his Uzumaki friend with an embarrassed frown and blush, silently pleading for help.
"What do you have against Miho?" Shinachiku asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I don't. Denki's the one who clearly gets nervous around her like Tsukia does with you sometimes." Iwabe responded.
"Wait, what?" Shinachiku questioned with a look of confusion.
"T-That's because you mentioned she had her eyes on me just like Yantsuchi-san!" Denki quickly said.
"Oh right! Guess you got a power for attracting the crazy one, eh, Denki?" Iwabe said as he laughed a bit.
"Wait, could we go back. What was that about Tsukia being nervous around me and for what?" Shinachiku asked, being more concerned on why his kunoichi teammate would be nervous around him.
"To be honest Denki, Miho's not half bad. Sure, she's got height and…she can get a little scary when her emotions take over, but she's got a pretty face. Plus a nice figure too. That chest of hers is pretty sizeable. Right around the same measurement as Tsukia, and we know how well she fits out under that sweater of hers." Iwabe said his arms crossed as he rubbed his chin while having an impressed smile.
Iwabe's behavior sure expressed his thoughts right now, causing Shinachiku and Denki to develop dull looks as they glanced to one another before looking back at Iwabe.
"Hi, Arata." Shinachiku spoke up.
"Hn." Arata greeted his friend/teammate, causing Iwabe's eyes to bulge as he sensed the eldest of the Uchiha-Hyūga beside him.
"A-ARATA!" Iwabe leapt away with a look of fear as he looked to the blunette shinobi.
"Please don't talk about my sister or Miho's chests. Especially in public." Arata said to the taller shinobi.
"Hello, Arata-kun." Denki greeted kenjutsu specialist with a smile.
"Denki. Shina. How are you guys today?" Arata greeted the two with nods.
"Doing fine. Iwabe wanted to shop, surprisingly. He dragged me away from Tsukia and Miho in a hurry for my help too." Shinachiku said. "Hey, Arata, Iwabe mentioned that Tsukia gets nervous around me. Do you know what that might be about?" Shinachiku asked, causing Arata to glance to Iwabe, who flinched again and sweating a bit.
"Who's to say." Arata responded. "Never took you for the desperate shopper type, Iwabe."
"O-Oi, I'm not desperate!" Iwabe quickly said with an annoyed look before recomposing himself and clearing his throat. "I just, uh, need some help with something for today, is all."
"You forgot to get Arashi a birthday present for tonight." Arata stated more than asked, causing Iwabe to flinch again.
"Oh~, so that's it." Shinachiku said as he lightly bopped his fist atop the palm of his other hand. "No need to feel embarrassed about that, Iwabe. It is kind of tough to buy a present for him, mainly because he's so quiet and has simple tastes."
"I suppose wanting to sign summoning contracts just because he likes making friends with the animals over summoning them in combat is pretty simple." Arata said.
"There's no need to feel embarrassed, Iwabe-kun. I had difficulty finding a present for him today. Took me a week to finally come up with one." Denki admitted with a supportive and slightly embarrassed smile.
"So~… no one's annoyed that I forgot?" Iwabe asked, hoping he wasn't in trouble with his best friend, that being Shinachiku.
"I'd be more annoyed if you forgot his birthday." Shinachiku said with an understanding smile, but then he gained a suspicious look. "You didn't forget his birthday was today, right?"
"O-Of course not! What kind of friend would I be if I did?! Now are you gonna help me shop for your brother or what?!" Iwabe quickly said, trying to hide his embarrassment.
"Yeah, of course. We'll all help." Shinachiku offered with a smile and dismissive wave.
"Good. Arigato." Iwabe said as he calmed down more before they all started to travel deeper into the shopping district to find something for Arashi.
"And then after that, you're telling me what I'm doing to make Tsukia nervous, dattebaro." Shinachiku added, causing the three guys to flinch as they all knew the reason.
Poor oblivious Shina.
.
.
Some time had passed as the sky was now changing from the Sun being close to setting.
Within Ichiraku's, Hanami was finishing her twenty ninth bowl as she was telling Iruka the tale of what happened on their field trip that her elder brother and some of the other kōdona genin (Advanced low ninja) chaperoned.
"And that's how Shina sent that crazy strong gorilla of a woman flying back at Kiri!" Hanami said right after finishing her bowl of ramen.
"I still can't believe that the students under my care as principal had the misfortune of having their field trip right when a coup d'état was initiated, leading to an ancient evil being unearthed. I feel so ashamed." Iruka said with a shame-filled and guilt-ridden frown.
"Hey, not like you were able to predict what would happen, dattebara." Hanami said to her uncle figure. "Shinachiku-onii-chan blames himself too if it makes you feel any better."
"Wait, really? Why?" Iruka asked with surprise and concern for the eldest of the Uzumaki siblings.
"Onii-chan says that bad luck always follows him, so he thinks that he's a magnet for this kind of trouble. Given how many times he's been put into very dangerous situations and the amount of super tough enemies he's fought up to this point, I can't say I blame him for thinking that. In fact, he might be right." Hanami explained.
"Well that's not pleasant. You shouldn't believe your brother is a magnet for trouble." Iruka said.
"To be honest, I wish I was. I would kill for a chance to fight tough opponents! That way I'll build up my reputation so people will see that I'm worthy of being the Hokage!" Hanami said with a big grin as gave a fist pump and held her flexing bicep.
"Now Hanami, you know it takes more than being powerful to be the Hokage." Iruka said.
"Well yeah, duh. But I want people to know how strong I am and that I'll keep getting stronger, so that way they won't have to worry once I do become their Hokage. Because I'll be strong enough to protect them all! I'm gonna surpass tou-chan and become the strongest Hokage ever, dattebara!" Hanami proclaimed with a big, confident Uzumaki grin.
Iruka blinked his eyes with mild surprise as he saw an image of a young Naruto in Hanami's place for a second, causing him to smile.
"You really are your father's child. You may have your mother's looks, but you definitely have his gutsiness." Iruka said with a proud smile.
"I'm a perfect combo, 'ttebara!" Hanami proclaimed proudly with a big Uzumaki grin and pressing her thumb to her chest. "Same can be said for Shina-onii-chan. Although, I wish Arashi would show more of that. I know he doesn't want to be a shinobi like Shina and I, but even so I expect him to show more enthusiasm."
"I'm sure he has his own way of displaying that." Iruka said.
"Yeah, but he sure tries to hide it well, that's for sure. You got to rile him up first if you want him to show a little bit of spirit." Hanami complained a bit with her arms crossed.
"Sounds like he takes more after Sakura then. She's pretty much the same way." Iruka said with a pair of eye smiles.
"I tend to forget that sometimes. Whenever I rile up kaa-chan, she just gets all yell-y and stuff, but Arashi just gets flustered. It'd be rare for him to yell. Tou-chan says that it must be because he also takes after Yondaime-Ojīchan since he wasn't a yelling type either." Hanami said as she then stuck out her lips as she put on a thinking posture. "Say ojisan, do you really think someone so quiet could have gutsiness too?" Hanami asked Iruka.
"Of course I do. After all, just because someone is loud it doesn't mean they have guts like you and your father have. Your grandfather, Yondaime-sama, was more on the quiet side as well, yet he is considered one of the gutsiest people you'd ever meet. He did take on Kurama, back when he wasn't very friendly." Iruka reminded the young pinkette.
"That's true. Tou-chan even said that Kushina-O bāchan wasn't even impressed with him. Said she thought he was pretty girly at first or something." Hanami said as she looked up in thought with her hands behind her head. She then suddenly blinked her eyes as she recalled something. "Hold up, what time is it?" Hanami questioned as she looked to the restaurant's clock. "Oh crap! I got to meet my family in a few!" Hanami exclaimed with shock and a sense of worry.
"Oh, so does this mean you won't be needed this bowl of ramen we just made?" Momoka asked as she brought over a new piping hot bowl of ramen.
"Place it on the counter." Hanami said, earning an amused smile from the dark haired Ichiraku while Iruka chuckled nervously at having to pay for an extra bowl.
"Willing to be late over a bowl of ramen?" Iruka said with a smirk and sweat drop.
"It would be a crime to waste freshly made delicious ramen like that. Tou-chan would agree with me." Hanami said with her head held high as she grabbed her chopsticks.
"Your mother not so much I'm betting." Iruka said with a smile.
"And Arashi. Shina-onii-chan is more of a neutral party." Hanami said as she then slurped up some noodles. "Speaking of otōto, you got that thing ready for him?" Hanami asked Momoka.
"Mm hmm." Momoka nodded with a smile and pair of eye smiles. "Got it all set for tonight."
"Great! Arashi said no surprises, but I know he'll love this one, dattebara!" Hanami said with a grin.
"You sound as excited as your father normally is whenever he's raring a surprise for your mother." Iruka commented.
"She should be. Hanami here probably even helped us out with this new idea." Momoka said with a smile.
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Iruka questioned.
"Done!" Hanami called out as she placed had just slurped up the ramen broth and placed the bowl down. "Thanks for the ramen, Iruka-ojisan! I got to run!" Hanami said as she jumped out of her seat and ran out of the restaurant.
Iruka blinked his eyes in surprise before chuckling with a sweat drop expression.
"Just like her father alright." Iruka said with a bit of a tired smile. He then noticed the bill Momoka placed in front of him, seeing the price then looking to the total of thirty bowls that Hanami had. 'I just wish she ate as much as him, instead of having more than double what he'd have on after missing breakfast and lunch.' Iruka thought with a tired frown and half-lidded eyes.
.
.
Back with Shinachiku and the others, they had spent time looking around to find something that Arashi might like.
After a lengthy time of shopping, they settled on a wooden statue of the strong warrior Momotarō with his animal companions, the dog, the pheasant and the monkey surrounding him.
"Took a while, but it looks like we found the perfect present." Shinachiku said with a smile.
"Think he'll like it?" Iwabe asked with a raised eyebrow as he raised up the wooden statue.
"I think so. It's pretty reminiscent of him." Arata said.
"Yeah… really wish I could have gotten that for him." Shinachiku said with a small pout as he crossed his arms and rubbed his chin as he stared at the statue.
"I'd say it really is perfect then." Iwabe said with a smile.
"Shina, the Sun is close to setting." Arata informed, noticing the sky slowly turning orange as the Sun was inching closer to the horizon.
"Oh, crap! I gotta bolt! Ja ne!" Shinachiku said as he rushed off at high speed.
"We'll see you later tonight!" Denki called out the best he could as Shinachiku was reaching out of sight pretty fast.
"He usually does this every year on his little brother's birthday." Iwabe commented.
"Well, it's not just Arashi's day after all that's in need of celebrating." Arata said, causing Iwabe to look to him with a raised eyebrow.
.
.
Shinachiku dashed through the village at high speed, making sure he did not hit anything or anyone along the way. He was getting close to the meeting spot where he would reunite with his family. It was a place within the village that is usually quiet and therefore not crowded. Only really having a couple of people stopping by.
'Almost there.' Shinachiku thought to himself as he was closer to his goal. After a moment or two, he arrived just in time. "Made it!" Shinachiku announced but found no one else there. "Wait… am I the first one here? Weird, I'm usually the one running late, 'ttebaro." Shinachiku said with surprise.
"Banzai!" A voice called out as Hanami came crashing down atop of her brother, using a dual drop kick, slamming Shina into the ground. "Made it!" Hanami cheered with a big Uzumaki grin and made a peace sign.
"That's great. Now get off." Shinachiku said with a frown as he was lying on the ground under Hanami.
"You're here first? Weird. You're usually the one running late." Hanami said, genuinely surprised to see her brother, despite just dropkicking him.
"I'm fully aware." Shinachiku said with a dull expression.
"Good grief." Sakura spoke as she and Arashi arrived. "Just got here and already you're making a scene." Sakura said.
"Hey kaa-chan. Yo, Arashi." Hanami greeted her mother and little brother.
"Hi." Shinachiku said, waving to them while still lying under Hanami's feet.
"Hanami, get off your older brother." Sakura ordered.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah. Sorry about that." Hanami said as she hopped off of her brother, allowing him to get back up to his feet and patting off any dust and dirt his sister left on him from impact. "Shina was here first." Hanami said.
"Really?" Sakura questioned with surprise.
"You're usually the one who's running late." Arashi said, surprised as well.
"I'm well aware." Shinachiku said with a frown and dull eyes as he finished patting away the dirt from his shirt. "Now the only left to come would be-" Suddenly a new figure appeared in spark of golden flames. "Tou-chan." Shinachiku and the others looked to see Naruto carrying a bouquet consisting of sunflowers, red poppies and a single orange hydrangea in the center with a ring of cherry blossoms surrounding it.
"Sorry I was late. Had something to get back at Ino's, dattebayo." Naruto said with a gentle smile as he gestured to the bouquet.
Sakura smiled softly as she walked over and kissed her husband on the cheek, making his smile widen more as he felt a strong warmth in his heart.
"You ready?" Sakura asked.
"As always." Naruto said with a nod as he and his family started heading into Konoha Cemetery.
The family of five made their way through the rows of gravestones, passed the fallen and remembered of the past, until they made it to a particular pair of tombstones with the names, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, written on them. They noticed that the pair of graves had flowers resting on them, with Kushina's having a much larger assortment than Minato's.
"Kakashi-sensei must have been here earlier." Naruto stated with a smile as he knew his old sensei's habit of visiting his old friends/family.
"I'm not surprised." Sakura said, smiling as well.
"Hi, Ojīchan! Otanjōbiomedetō, O bāchan!" Hanami said with a grin as she ran up and knelt in front of the grave. "Missed us?"
"I'm sure they did." Naruto said, smiling to his daughter. "Hey, tou-chan, kaa-san. Been a while. Sorry we couldn't visit more often. Been a crazy year, dattebayo." Naruto said, smiling to his parents.
"For some, more than others." Shinachiku said as he scratched the side of his head.
"Lucky." Hanami said, pursing her lips.
"None of what I went through was lucky!" Shinachiku argued.
"I still wish I could fight some tough shinobi like you though, onii-chan." Hanami said to her brother with a frown and half-lidded eyes before redirecting herself back to her grandparents. "I'm still trying to advance on my road to becoming Hokage like tou-chan and you, Ojīchan! But I'm never getting the right opportunities!"
"What about those practice forms I gave you to simulate the experience?" Sakura questioned with a smirk and her hands on her hips.
"Okay, yeah, there's that, but it feels like I'm advancing in everything to become Hokage except fighting and surpassing tough opponents! How will anyone know I'm worthy of the title if they can't see that I can protect them when hell is right at our doorstep?" Hanami questioned with a small frown.
"Defeating someone who wielded one of the seven legendary swords of Kiri wasn't something that helped advance your reputation?" Shinachiku questioned with a smirk.
"Okay, yeah that sounds cool, but compare to the actual swordsmen of the past, that guy was just a novice, 'ttebara." Hanami said, pursing her lips against as she shrugged.
"A novice who made you use Bijū Chakura Mōdo (Tailed-Beast Chakra Mode)." Shinachiku said with a cheeky grin and his arms crossed.
"Hey! He was a sneaky jerk and the moment I whipped it out, he was floored!" Hanami argued with an anime expression.
"Still impressive though given that you just started the advanced course some months ago, 'ttebayo." Naruto said with a smile.
"Well, I do come from a pretty kickass family, so it's not hard to believe, dattebara." Hanami said proudly with an equally proud smile and her arms crossed.
"You know, it's not enough to come from amazing people. Hard work and guts matter just as importantly. Even more so, in my opinion." Naruto said.
"As if our family ever believed otherwise." Shinachiku said with a smile.
"Yeah!" Hanami agreed with a huge grin and fist pump.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Sakura said with a smile, causing her husband to smile to her brightly. "Though to be honest, as proud as I am, I still wish you kids wouldn't hurt yourselves so badly in the process at times." Sakura said with a shrug and her arms crossed.
"Hey, like the old saying: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Hanami said, still grinning.
"That still doesn't encourage you to see how far you can take it." Sakura retorted.
"Aw come on, Sakura-chan. You got to admire their enthusiasm." Naruto said with an amused smile.
"Which they inherited greatly from their father." Sakura said with a smirk and her eyes closed, causing Naruto to chuckle nervously. "As you both can see, I still got to keep a tight grip on the reins in this family. Not an easy task and it can be a bit much on the mind, but that's what I signed up for." Sakura said to her in-laws with a shrug.
"Aw come on, Sakura-chan~. As if you would have it any other way!" Naruto said with his big ol' grin as he brought his wife into a one-armed hug.
Sakura refused to answer that as she wouldn't be able to lie in front of her in-laws, so she turned her head away from Naruto to hide the happy and loving smile and the blush on her cheeks.
'I really hate how right he can be sometimes.' Sakura thought as her smile widened a bit before her eyes looked to the gravestones in front of them. 'I hope I'm doing right by you both. I do love your son with all of my heart, and I am so happy and proud to be his wife. He gave me three wonderful children and I could never thank him enough for that and the life he's given me. I just hope I'm giving him all that he and you both hoped for.'
"You are." Naruto said, causing his wife to look to him in surprise. "I can pretty much tell what you're thinking, and I know you're making them proud, Sakura-chan. I know I'm not easy to handle, same with the kids, well, mainly Hanami-"
"Hey!" Hanami whined with a pout.
"But you always do your best to keeps things in check, all for our sake. To be honest, I'm sure we'd all be lost without you. I couldn't ask for a better wife, the kids couldn't ask for a better mom, and I know my parents couldn't have asked for a better person to call their daughter, 'ttebayo." Naruto said with a loving smile.
Sakura stared at Naruto with wide shimmer eyes as she felt a powerful warmth in her heart.
"B-Baka! You shouldn't put me on the spot like that in front of your parents! They must feel so embarrassed right now." Sakura quickly said as her whole face turned red.
"You sure it isn't you, kaa-chan?" Hanami asked with a cheeky smile, causing her mother to narrow her eyes at her with a small growl, causing the younger pinkette to turn away, still smiling.
Sakura sighed with a smile upon her lips as he eyes then softened. She looked to her grinning husband as she then kissed him on the lips, pleasantly surprising him, and grossing their daughter out a bit.
"Thank you, Naruto." Sakura said with a loving smile as she rested her head onto Naruto's shoulder, which he happily gave with a loving smile of his own on his face as he looked to his wife.
"Uh… sorry if I'm putting a lot of pressure on you, kaa-chan." Shinachiku said as he had an apologetic frown and lightly scratched his cheek with his finger.
"I get it. The world is still very dangerous. In fact, even more so with those 'things' walking around, so you and your sister getting hurt is, unfortunately, going to be a norm, as much as I wish it won't be. Still, I'm very proud of how strong of a shinobi you are, despite part of your strength being a double edge sword. I'm just happy that no matter what, you keep coming back to us, even if I do have to heal you back up a good number of the times. And I know your Ojīchan and O bāchan feel just as proud of you as we are." Sakura said, smiling to her eldest child with pride and love.
"As usual, your mother is right. Great work, Shina. You make us all proud." Naruto said with how own smile of pride as he ruffled Shinachiku's hair.
Shinachiku's smile brightened up as he almost felt ready to cry tears of joy.
"Does it sound selfish to say that I wish I could hear O bāchan and Ojīchan say the same thing?" Shinachiku asked as he looked to the ground, scratching his cheek again.
"Nah. Who wouldn't want that?" Naruto said with a grin, making own son grin as well.
Shinachiku then looked to the gravestones.
'I promise I'll keep getting stronger. I'll defend all that is precious to our family, and that resonates with the Will of Fire. I'll make you both proud, O bāchan, Ojīchan.' Shinachiku mentally promised as he gave his grandparents a smile.
Arashi stared at his grandparents' headstones. He looked to the side as he tapped his index fingers together.
"Something the matter, Arashi?" Sakura asked her youngest, noticing his sudden shy behavior.
"I… I don't know what to say to them." Arashi admitted, surprising the rest of his family.
"What do you mean? Just say what's in your heart." Naruto said.
"It's not that easy." Arashi said with a blush.
"Sure it is. Just open your mouth and whatever words want to come out, let 'em. That's what I always do." Hanami said with a proud smile and her head raised high, not noticing them dull look her younger brother was giving her.
"She's not wrong, dattebaro." Shinachiku admitted, shocking not just Arashi, but even Hanami. "Yeah, I know, weird coming from me, but she really isn't. Not on this matter, in this current situation." Shinachiku said with a smile as he rubbed the back of his head.
Sakura knelt and gently grasped her youngest's shoulders making him look up to her.
"So long as your words are filled with love, then anything you say could never be wrong." Sakura said with a gentle, loving smile.
Arashi blinked his eyes before noticing his father kneeling as well and handing him the bouquet of flowers he brought to the young redhead. Arashi took the bouquet of sunflowers, poppies, cherry blossoms and a single hydrangea. Blinking his eyes he handed his father the bouquet back, confusing him and the others, before he took out a scroll from within his vest, unfurled it to reveal a sealing formula and undid it to reveal the crown of flowers Kure made him earlier. The other looked in surprise at this, with Sakura warmly smiling at her son, proud of him as he put the wreath upon his head. Arashi then held his hands out to his father, earning a smile from the adult Uzumaki as he then handed his son the bouquet again.
Arashi made his way over to the gravestones. Once stopping in front of them, he looked to the side having a tint of pink on his cheeks as he was a little embarrassed about what he would say. He glanced back to his elder sister, who smiled at him and gave him an encouraging thumbs up. Deciding to listen to his sister's advice, he turned his sights back to the gravestones and just spoke what came from his heart.
"Hi Ojīchan… O bāchan… I, uh… I don't think I ever talked to you guys like this before so… forgive me if it gets awkward." Arashi said as his cheeks heated up a bit. "I… I'm five now. I know people would say I'm just a kid and have the right to treat me as one, but I don't think I'm like other five-year-old kids. I like to study things, just for fun, I'm not a big fan of the chaos Hanami makes, or of how childish tou-chan can be."
"Hmph." Hanami turned to the side with a pout and her arms crossed, while Naruto silently chuckled with an embarrassed grin as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I don't really like the same crazy and weird stuff other kids would like. I'm not crazy about flowers like Kure, I don't really run around like others my age, and I definitely am not interested in frivolous things like Inori. I feel like I'm very mature for my age, and I'm very embarrassed that everyone keeps raising me up in the air and kisses my face all over. At least in public, datte… well, you know… but for some reason… despite being embarrassed by it… I don't want it any other way. I'm a pretty weird kid who come from a pretty weird family… and I like it. I like how it feels to be a part of this family. I just… I just wish I could experience that same feeling with you guys here. I know we never really met face to face, and I only know you two in stories… but somehow… I miss you. I guess that's pretty weird, 'ttebare. I mean… can you really miss people you have never met before?" Arashi wondered as his eyes softened. "I… I don't want to take up too much of your time, so… I'll just tell it like it is…" Arashi gently hugged the bouquet closer to himself as he stared at the names on the graves. "I love you both… and I'm happy I'm your grandson." Arashi's eyes then looked solely to Kushina's. "And I'm honored that we share the same birthday, O bāchan. I didn't want to be born on any other than your own…. it makes me feel… close to you, dattebare. I wouldn't want it any other way." Arashi confessed as his eyes shimmered as he walked over and placed the bouquet between them. "Thank you for being my grandparents. I'll try and visit more. I love you." Arashi said as he stood up straight.
Suddenly he felt himself being hugged from behind, causing his eyes to widen as he could tell it was his older sister hugging him.
"Feel better?" Hanami asked, despite already knowing the answer.
"Yeah." Arashi said with a nod as he gently grabbed his sister's arms.
Sakura then suddenly hugged them both with a proud, loving smile on her face.
"We'll try and visit more often." Sakura said with a soft, loving tone.
"Arigato, kaa-chan." Arashi said with soft eyes as he enjoyed the warmth his sister and mother were giving him.
"I'll try and do the same. I got clones doing most of my job anyway, so I can find time to do a pop in here and there, 'ttebayo." Naruto said with a smile. He then noticed the Sun had finally met the horizon, which meant that the evening had arrived. "Nighttime isn't far behind now. I think we should head out now." Naruto said as he faced back to his parents' gravestones. "It was nice to see you again, kaa-san, tou-chan. We'll visit as soon as we can. Love you both. Otanjōbiomedetō, kaa-san." Naruto said, smiling to his parents.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, O bāchan! Atode (Later), Ojīchan!" Hanami said with a big, bright Uzumaki grin.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, Kushina-O bāchan. See you and Ojīchan again another time. Hopefully sometime soon." Shinachiku said with a soft smile.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, Kushina-sama. Rest easy, the both of you. I'll continue to keep everything afloat, especially when everyone gets a little too excited." Sakura said to his in-laws with a smile. 'No way would I ever let anyone, or anything destroy the beautiful life I have with your son. I'll forever be indebted to you both for passing on your spirit into him, making him the man I love until the end of time. Arigato, tou-san, kaa-san.' Sakura mentally added as her smile widened and her eyes shimmered with pride, admiration and gratefulness for the pair she was proud to call mother-in-law and father-in-law.
"Ready to go guys?" Naruto asked his family.
"I'm never ready for this part!" Hanami cried out with anime tears coming down her eyes.
"Me either." Shinachiku said with his own anime tears.
"Yeah. Same." Naruto admitted as he had his own anime tears as well.
Sakura sighed at their behavior.
'Same with me.' Sakura mentally admitted as she smiled.
Arashi blinked his eyes in surprise at his family's response, mainly his siblings'.
'Guess I'm not the only one who misses those they've never met before.' Arashi thought as he smiled back to the graves. "Until next time, Ojīchan, O bāchan. Arigatōgozaimashita. Itoshite iru. Yukkuri yasunde." (Thank you. Love you. Rest easy.) Arashi said with a loving smile.
"Couldn't have said it better myself, dattebayo." Naruto said with a soft, proud smile as he gently ruffled his youngest's red locks.
Arashi just smirked in response to his hair being ruffled. Normally he would groan in minor annoyance to this, but considering the day and where they are, he was making this an exception. Although, deep down, he always loves it when his dad ruffles his hair.
"Let's get a move on then." Sakura said as she stood up straight. "Good seeing you both as always." Sakura said to Minato and Kushina, giving them a respectful bow.
"Abayo, kaa-san, tou-chan." Naruto said with a smile.
"Ja ne!" Shinachiku and Hanami said with bright smiles.
"Sayonara." Arashi said with a soft smile as he grabbed his mother's hand.
The family of five turned and left after giving a small prayer, heading their way out of the cemetery.
The wind blew with leaves fluttering through the wind currents right where the gravestones were. Unseen by any of the family, or any of the living for that matter, a pair of figures stood where the headstones were. One with blonde spiky hair and the other with long pure red hair that reached her lower back.
"We'll see you all later." Minato said with a smile.
"Yeah." Kushina agreed with a nod. She suddenly shook a bit with her eyes shut tight. "Oh! I can't hold it in! Look how much they've grown! They're getting so big! And they're still so cute too!" Kushina exclaimed with joy as she hugged her husband's arm.
"They have come a long way. From what Naruto shared last time, Shina has already mastered the Hiraishin and taken it to levels that I couldn't. Hanami even more so. Like that one she calls the Hiraishin Switcheroo (Flying Thunder God Switcheroo)." Minato said with a smile. "Though personally, I think I would have called it Uchū Gijutsu ni Okeru Hiraishin no Totsuzen no Hen'i no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Sudden Displacement Within Space Technique)."
"Oh, thank goodness none of them inherited your skills in naming techniques." Kushina said with a sigh making her husband chuckle with embarrassment as he rubbed the back of his head. She then smiled at the retreating family. "Even if they did, I'd still say those two did a wonderful job at raising those three."
"They are very well-mannered." Minato said with a smile.
"Even Hanami?" Kushina questioned with an amused and knowing smirk.
"Well, she can be. When she can keep herself under control that is." Minato said with a bit of an embarrassed smile. "Although, what really matters is that they have the guts to never give up and a pure, unbreakable heart." Minato said as he once more had a proud smile.
"I couldn't agree more." Kushina said with an Uzumaki grin.
"Like Sakura said, we passed those qualities onto Naruto, and now both of them have passed down their own onto Shinachiku, Hanami and Arashi." Minato added.
"Yeah." Kushina smiled as she looked back to the family, who were nearing the exit, with her eyes mainly on the pink haired woman. "I'm so happy Naruto has her in his life. He needed someone with a good head on her shoulders, never afraid to crack a whip but still so kind and generous with so much love in her heart."
"Sort of reminds me of someone." Minato said with a smirk.
"Yeah. I suppose so." Kushina said with her head held high as she continued to smile. "Life is good." Kushina said as she rested her head upon Minato's shoulder.
"Yes, it is. Even though we're not really living it anymore." Minato said, gently holding one of his wife's hands, causing her to chuckle at how true the statement was.
They stayed in silence as they continued to stare to the exit where their son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren had just left through. Neither say a word for… at least a good couple of seconds.
"I Miss Them Already!" Kushina cried with anime tears.
"Yeah… me too." Minato admitted as he gently patted his wife's hand in a comforting manner.
.
.
The Uzumaki family had already left Konoha Cemetery and were already making their way back into town.
"That were some really nice things you said back there, Arashi." Naruto said, smiling down to his youngest son.
"I just opened my mouth and let the words from my heart out is all." Arashi said with a tint of pink on his cheeks.
"Exactly! See what happens when you listen to your sister?" Hanami said with a big ol' grin.
"Ninety percent of the time you get into trouble and are praying that the ten percent you don't will happen next time?" Arashi 'questioned' with a small, dull expression.
"That sounds about right." Shinachiku said as he lightly tapped his chin, ignoring the raspberry his sister was giving him.
"Good number of stars out tonight." Naruto noticed as he looked up into the sky. "Anyone wants to go home yet? Because I still got some energy left."
"Same here, actually." Shinachiku said.
"Ditto." Hanami said with her hands behind her head.
"Well, that's not much of a surprise." Shinachiku said, earning an agreeing nod from Arashi.
"I guess I could go for a bit more of a walk. Maybe through the park. That way we can also rest there and see the stars." Sakura suggested.
"Great idea, Sakura-chan!" Naruto said with an Uzumaki grin.
"I like that idea." Arashi confessed. "I don't know why, but I always feel at peace there. Like being closer to nature fuels me or something."
'Pretty much does if I recall correctly.' Naruto thought as he felt a specific source of energy within his youngest before the few times that he was able to witness it.
"Dammit! How can I be this low on cash already?!" A female voice called out with annoyance.
"Hey, wait, I know that voice." Naruto said as he and his family noticed up ahead, a buxom blonde woman with a diamond marking on her forehead and wearing a grass-green haori over a sleeveless kimono-style blouse.
"I thought I had more. I know getting a gift for my sweet Arashi might have costed me a pretty penny, but I couldn't have gambled that much away… unless I drank more than I can recall." Tsunade said to herself as she recounted her money.
"Tsunade-O bāchan! Yo!" Naruto called out with a wave, earning the elder blonde's attention.
"Grandma!" Hanami called out with joy and sparkling eyes as she started running over. "Grandma, grandma, grandma, grandma!" Hanami called out as she rushed over and leaped, hugging the older Uzumaki into a tight embrace.
"Well, look who it is. My favorite granddaughter." Tsunade said with a bright smile, hugging Hanami back as she was very happy to see the pink haired Uzumaki child.
"I missed you, 'ttebara!" Hanami proclaimed with glee, so happy to see her grandmother-figure.
"Oh, same here, Hanami-chan." Tsunade said with a warm, happy smile.
"Sobo-chan!" Shinachiku called out as he and Arashi ran over.
"There my boys are! Come here!" Tsunade called out with glee and both Shinachiku and Arashi hurried over and hugged their grandma. "Oh, I'm just so happy to see you all!" Tsunade said with a bright smile as she hugged them tighter and then started kissing them all over their faces.
"O bāchan, you're leaving a lot of lipstick on our faces." Arashi said with a small pout.
"Well, you knew I wasn't going to hold back, so you have no one but yourself to blame." Tsunade said with an amused smile as Hanami and Shinachiku laughed in agreement, making Arashi pout more. "Oh~, look at that. A perfect crown for a perfect prince." Tsunade said to Arashi with a teasing, yet loving smile, noticing his crown of flowers, making the poor boy groan with his cheeks turning red.
"Hello, Tsunade-sama." Sakura greeted her old mentor with a smile as she and Naruto made their way over.
"How's it been, Tsunade-O bāchan!" Naruto greeted his predecessor with a grin.
"Will you ever stop calling me that!" Tsunade shouted with annoyance, before suddenly glomping the young Uzumaki trio before her. "Only these little ones can call me that." Tsunade said as she hugged the three children tightly.
"O bāchan… I think you're crushing us a bit." Shinachiku said with a little bit of a grunt.
"Aw, sorry. I just can't help myself whenever I see you guys." Tsunade said with a smile as she lightened up on her hold of them, allowing them to breathe easy again. "Oh, I almost forgot." Tsunade reached into her haori and pulled out a little gift box. "Otanjōbiomedetō, Arashi-kun." Tsunade said with a loving smile as she knelt and handed the gift box to the youngest of the clan.
"Arigato, O bāchan." Arashi said with a gracious smile as he then opened it, causing his eyes to widen in awe as he saw it was a necklace with a golden emblem of the clan's symbol with a golden fox around it, acting like a second ring and it had two shiny red eyes. "Sugoi." Arashi said with awe.
"Cost me a pretty penny for that. Then when the bastard tried to undercut me, I showed whose boss and got the right price for it." Tsunade said with a smirk.
"Alright, O bāchan! No one tricks you and gets away with it!" Hanami cheered with a big ol' grin and fist thrust in the air.
"Damn straight." Tsunade said with a triumphant smirk and giving a thumbs up.
"By the way, what were you worrying about money for? You saw something you wanted?" Naruto asked.
"Well…" Tsunade looked to a nearby store, causing the others to look to see a bottle of strawberry flavored nigori sake.
"Of course." Naruto said as he had a dull expression while Sakura chuckled a bit with a sweat drop at Tsunade's hapless vice for liquor.
"It made me think of Arashi, so I wanted to buy it, but I'm kind of low at the moment. That gift I got still wasn't cheap, even with my expert haggling skills." Tsunade said with her arms crossed.
"Along with several many other purchases." Naruto said with a smirk.
"Hmph." Tsunade turned her head away, keeping it held high.
"Hey, maybe I got enough money in Gama-chan Jr. to help make the full purchase." Hanami said with a smile as she took out a coin purse-style wallet in the shape of a little pink toad.
"Uh, no, you don't need to do that, Hanami-chan. Just let papa and old Gama Sr. handle this, okay?" Naruto said with a nervous smile as he didn't want his daughter to pay for the sannin's unhealthy vice. He was getting PTSD at the moment from recalling having to starve his own Gama-chan to feed Jiraiya A.K.A. Ero-sennin's unhealthy habits when he was younger.
"Nah, don't worry about it." Tsunade said with a smile and dismissive wave.
"But it's a time to celebrate! And we know how much you love to celebrate! I know how it feels not to have your own way to celebrate something great be squashed into the ground. Believe me, I live with the culprits every day." Hanami said to her grandmother figure/godmother, causing Sakura to roll her eyes and Shina to frown with dull eyes as they knew they were the ones being referred to.
"Well, if your father is truly okay with it." Tsunade said, looking from Hanami to Naruto, still possessing a smile on her face.
"Why wouldn't I? Like Hanami said it's a day to celebrate. Besides, it's not like you're shaking me down like a certain other sannin did when I was younger." Naruto said with a shrug.
"That man." Tsunade said with a sigh and small frown. However, that frown soon turned into a faint smile as she thought about the old, perverted toad sage.
"I'll be back in a moment or two." Naruto said as he headed for the store selling the strawberry flavored liquor.
"Sorry I couldn't arrive earlier. Most of the day's already gone now, so there's little time to celebrate this little guy's anniversary into the world." Tsunade said as she gently ruffled Arashi's hair.
"Well, you're here now, and we were just about to head to the park. You're more than welcome to come, Tsunade-sama." Sakura offered with a smile.
"Yeah! You'll come with us, right, O bāchan?" Hanami practically pleaded as she hugged the sannin's leg and looked up to her with a smile and hopeful eyes.
"Aw~, how could I ever say no to that face?" Tsunade said as she ruffled the pink haired girl's hair, making her chuckle with an Uzumaki grin. "Not like I would ever pass up an invitation like that. Count me in." Tsunade said with a smile.
"Yes!" Hanami cheered, leaping up with her fists thrust up, while the others smiled with joy.
Tsunade's smile brightened up more. She was so happy that they would always welcome her into activities such as this. She thought a long time ago that she missed out on having a family. She is always so grateful to be proven wrong.
.
.
After Naruto came back with the strawberry flavored nigori sake, the family of six now were making their way towards the park.
"So, does that really taste like strawberries? Because I took a sip of regular sake one time and it ain't no juice, dattebara." Hanami asked her grandmother.
"You can taste them in there. I'd offer you some, but grandmothers shouldn't give their grandchildren a taste of alcohol." Tsunade answered with a smile.
"Also, Naruto and I would never allow it." Sakura added with her hands on her hips.
"Right, right." Hanami nodded, understanding and even agreeing with both her mother and grandmother. "You know, you said once that drinking sake really helps keeps your skin all smooth and healthy. That really true?" Hanami asked Tsunade.
"Don't believe everything your O bāchan tells you, Hanami-chan." Naruto said, causing Tsunade to growl a bit as she glared at her successor, who just glanced to the other side to avoid her gaze.
"Well, regardless of the answer, you're much too young to worry about that, Hanami-chan. You're still young and beautiful." Tsunade said to the young Uzumaki girl with a smile.
"Yeah, but I want to be strong and gorgeous like you when I become Hokage! I got to know if I'm gonna need some bottles to keep me going strong in power and looks, 'ttebara." Hanami said.
"Aw~, you don't need this stuff to be that. You're gonna be a drop-dead enchanting powerhouse when you take that hat from your old man without the aid of any miracle cure like this." Tsunade said, gesturing to the bottle in her hand as she was smiling warmly to Hanami while she ruffled the young pinkette's hair, making her chuckle with an Uzumaki grin.
"Well, at least we won't have to worry about her getting drunk on the job when she gets older." Naruto whispered to Sakura, earning an agreeing nod.
"Oh, we're here!" Arashi said as he noticed they were nearing the entrance to Senju Park.
"Say, O bāchan, since you're the Shodaime's granddaughter, doesn't that mean you own this park?" Hanami asked.
"It's under the clan's name, isn't it?" Tsunade rhetorically questioned with a smirk.
"Cool! Maybe you could start selling admission here! Then you'd make bank, dattebara!" Hanami said with a grin.
"You shouldn't sell admission into a public park. That's not cool." Shinachiku said with a frown.
"Not unless you put in some cool attractions!" Hanami retorted with a smile.
"Seems rather unnecessary. Besides, what would you put in this park? You can't just fit in roller coasters or anything like that. I doubt you can fit anything considered cool in here anyway." Shinachiku said.
"Like you would know how to do cool, Mr. Stay in the Mud." Hanami said with a frown and her arms crossed.
"The term is 'Stick in the Mud'." Shinachiku retorted with a frown and half-lidded eyes.
"Yeah, but you stay in the mud. You never bother to come out." Hanami clarified.
"It means the same thing, 'ttebaro!" Shinachiku argued.
"How?! A stick doesn't choose to stay in the mud, dattebara!" Hanami argued back.
"That is- what? No! That's not what it originally means at all!" Shinachiku exclaimed.
"Maybe save the argument for another time, dattebayo." Naruto said with a sweat drop expression, complete with a nervous smile. "You know though, you could do things like boat rides and a small festival here filled with games and food stands." Naruto said as he rubbed his chin in thought.
"See! As always, tou-chan manages to see what's underneath the underneath! In your face, onii-chan!" Hanami said as she then pulled down a bottom eyelid and stuck her tongue out at her elder brother, making him groan with a frown.
Naruto chuckled with a grin while Sakura shook her head and sighed at her daughter's behavior with a smile on her face.
The family walked into Senju Park and continued down the entrance road.
Arashi blinked his eyes as he felt something was off.
"Hmm." Arashi scratched his head in thought as he wondered what was with his intuition right now.
"Something up?" Hanami asked with a smile.
"I don't know why, but something feels… off." Arashi said.
"Off how?" Shinachiku asked with his own smile.
"Off like… there's something I'm walking into that's gonna-" suddenly, the lampposts along the sides of the road lit up down the road where suddenly lanterns hanging by strings and wooden poles sparked with light that revealed a large party of people there waiting for them.
"Surprise! Otanjōbiomedetō, Arashi!" All the people exclaimed with smiles on their faces.
Arashi had a look of surprise as he saw everyone from family to friends to many of Konoha citizens there wishing them happy birthday and cheering for him. He was suddenly picked up by Naruto who sat him onto his shoulders.
"Surprise!" Naruto, Sakura, Hanami, Shinachiku and Tsunade said with grins on their faces.
Arashi blinked his eyes, still surprised by this… surprise. He then smiled, a bit embarrassment, but genuinely happy smile.
"Arigato, min'na!" Arashi thanked everyone with a big Uzumaki grin.
The Uzumaki family made their way over towards the rest, where Naruto then placed Arashi back onto the ground as all the kids then started to congratulate him and wish him a happy birthday, which he gladly accepted with a big ol' grin reminiscent of his own father.
"Arashi!" A man's voice cried out with glee.
"Oh boy." Arashi said with a worried frown as then his grandfather, Kizashi, came running up, grabbing him and raising him into the air.
"Oh, my Ichigo no Shōnen! I've missed you so much!" Kizashi said with a huge grin as he held his grandson up high.
"Ojīchan~, you just saw around an hour ago!" Arashi whined feeling embarrassed about his grandfather's public display of affection to him.
"And it was an hour too long! Otanjōbiomedetō, my favorite little redhead!" Kizashi said with a wide grin as he hugged Arashi, while the young boy's friends laughed at the adorable scene, making Arashi groan with an embarrassed frown and blush.
"He never misses a beat." Sakura said with an embarrassed, yet amused smile.
"Hell, I wouldn't have either." Naruto said with a grin.
"Anata (Darling), let Arashi down. You'll have plenty of time to coddle him later. For now, let him enjoy his party with his friends." Mebuki said to her husband, coming to assist her darling, youngest grandchild from public embarrassment from the hands of his grandfather's love, again.
"Oh~, alright. Sorry to hog all the fun." Kizashi playfully whined while still grinning as he let down his red-haired grandchild.
"My turn!" Hanami called out as she ran over and hugged her grandfather, making him laugh with joy as he hugged her back.
"I can always count on you to bring back my chipper mood, Hanami-chan!" Kizashi said with a grin.
'Better her than me. At least for right now.' Arashi thought as he sighed with relief. He suddenly felt himself being hugged again, but this time in a less overzealous embrace from his maternal grandmother.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, my little one." Mebuki said with a warm smile as she then pulled back from her grandson.
"Arigato, O bāchan." Arashi thanked his grandmother, both for wishing him happy birthday and saving him from his grandfather's unyielding affection.
"Oi, Arashi! We've been dying waiting for you! They got this petting zoo here that's filled with animals from all five great nations!" A boy with sienna brown hair said with excitement.
"Seriously?" Arashi questioned with surprise.
"Spared no expense here, dattebayo." Naruto said with a proud smirk.
"Arigato, tou-chan." Arashi thanked his father with a bright smile.
"Let's go!" A girl said as she grabbed Arashi's arm as she dragged him towards the petting zoo with the rest of the young children following.
As Arashi was running with the other kids, he noticed there were many tables for the party, both for adults and kids, several long tables that had all kinds of food on them, especially one or two being desert tables (he's going there the first chance he gets), a large bouncy castles, boat rides near the large body of water the park had, many baskets with toys in them like squirt guns, bubble guns, foam swords, toy kunai and shuriken, and here was even a very large bouncy castle. When his father said he spared no expense, he wasn't kidding.
"Man, that is a lot of stuff you got this year." Tsunade said, surprised b all the activities at the party that would keep the children busy for hours.
"He's five now. It's the beginning of when you can really go all out." Naruto said with a shrug.
"Where did you hear that from?" Shinachiku asked with a raised eyebrow.
"From here." Naruto gestured to his gut with his thumb.
"Baka." Sakura said with light chuckle as she smiled to her husband before giving him a kiss on the cheek. "You did good work though, but what else should I expect from such an amazing father." Sakura said, proud of her baka.
"Aw~, Sakura-chan~, you're going to make me blush, dattebayo~." Naruto cooed with a dopey grin with his cheeks already red as he scratched one with his finger.
"Too late." Shinachiku said with a smirk and half-lidded eyes. "I'm just gonna go over there where my friends are before you guys get all lovey-dovey." Shinachiku said as he gestured to his friends, who were beside the long table where everyone was placing their gifts for Arashi onto. "Ja ne." Shinachiku quickly hurried over.
"Well if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go check out the banquet before me. Grandma is praying for some grand-A sake at this party." Tsunade said with a chipper smile as she started to head over to the food tables.
"Wait, did you just call yourself-"
"Finish that and this party will double as your funeral." Tsunade said, turning to Naruto with a glare and deep frown.
"Never mind. I think I misheard you." Naruto said with a bit of a frightened smile as he had his hands up in defense.
"Tsunade-sama!" A very excited voice spoke out as the blonde sannin turned only to be embraced by none other than her first apprentice, Shizune.
"Shizune! How great to see you!" Tsunade said with a bright smile, happy to see her first apprentice.
"Same to you! It's been months!" Shizune said with her own bright smile as she pulled back from the hug, only to then notice the bottle of nigori sake in her old mentor's hand. "Seriously? Even at a kid's party?" Shizune said with a light frown.
"What? Naruto got me this." Tsunade said with a carefree smile as she showed off the bottle in her hand. "Anyway, it's not like I'll be the only one having a sip of the good stuff. I'm sure there's some nice sake here as well."
"I doubt Sakura and Naruto would ever have liquor at a kid's party. Right?" Shizune looked to the Hokage and his wife only to see them looking to the side with the blonde of the two rubbing the back of his head.
"Well, we weren't going to, but-"
"Hanami was constantly fussing over it. She said that she knew Tsunade-sama was going to be here, so she wanted us to have sake for the party. Girl was so determined that she was willing to barter for it by promising not to prank anyone in the village for a whole week." Sakura explained with a frown and her arms crossed.
"But we decided to minimize that to two days instead. No need for the girl to practically kill herself with withdrawal." Naruto said with an embarrassed smile.
"Seriously?!" Shizune exclaimed with shock that they would allow sake at a children's party, and awe that Hanami would willingly go through such lengths for Tsunade.
"Aw~, now why couldn't you be more like that?" Tsunade said to Shizune as she was touched by her granddaughter's actions and sacrifice.
"Because I'm not an enabler!" Shizune argued with an exaggerated disapproving expression. "That girl…" She said, sighing with a frown over Hanami's behavior.
"Well, what do you expect?" Another voice spoke, causing them to turn to see Kakashi, holding a one-year-old girl with dark hair in his arms. "She is her father's child, after all." The masked shinobi said with a hidden smile and pair of eye smiles.
"Parading with my looks." Sakura added with a nonchalant frown and shrug.
"Yeah, she's perfect." Naruto said with a big, goofy smile, causing Sakura to roll her eyes.
"Aw~, it's my little Eiko-chan!" Tsunade said with glee as she rushed over to meet the little girl in Kakashi's arms. "Come to O bāchan~." Tsunade said with a bright smile as she took the one-year-old from her father, into her arms.
"She said it again." Naruto said in a low tone to his wife with an amused smirk, to Sakura responded by flicking him in the arm with a little added strength. "Ow." Naruto said as he rubbed his arm.
Eiko was a little one-year-old girl who still had her baby cheeks and she looked just like her mother with black hair shoulder length hair, but she also had a little lock poking out the top of her head tied by a hair tie with two round white balls attached to it. Her attire was more formal today as she was wearing a little white dress with puffy sleeves that covered her shoulders only, a sparkling silver belt around the waist of it, black pants and little shinobi-style sandals.
"Oh~, look how cute you look today! Absolutely adorable!" Tsunade cooed as she gave the dark-haired girl an eskimo kiss, making her laugh at the ticklish sensation. The little girl then noticed the bottle in the blonde woman's hand and grabbed it, trying to put the top in her mouth.
"Oh, sweet mercy, no! Put that out of your mouth Eiko-chan!" Shizune ordered her daughter in fear that this was foreshadowing a habit she might share with the Godaime Hokage.
"Oh, relax, Shizune, the cork is still on." Tsunade said nonchalantly with a small smile.
"That doesn't mean I want her to get used to that particular bottle size. Please, take it out." Shizune said with her hands on her hips.
"Alright, alright." Tsunade said as she pulled the bottle out of the one-year-old's mouth, only for her to start whimpering as she looked ready to cry. "Oh, don't cry, Eiko-chan. Here. O bāchan got you a little something while on her travels." Tsunade reached into her haori's inner pocket and took out a small plastic teething ring that was in the shape of a pink caterpillar. Once handing it to Eiko, the little girl started chewing on it. "Aw, she's getting so big." Tsunade said with a soft smile as she stared at the little girl with love. "How are Botan and Aiya doing by the way?" Tsunade asked Shizune and Kakashi.
"Aiya's running a little late. She stayed behind to gussy up, even though it's just a kid's party. No need to look glamorous today. It's not like anyone is here preparing a photoshoot for her for a calendar or those damn magazines." Shizune said with a frown and her arms crossed, annoyed by her daughter's side career of posing for photos that would be seen around the world.
"Botan's just over there." Kakashi pointed his thumb to their son, who was just leaning against a wooden pole, balancing the tip of the kunai's bladed edge against his fingertip.
Botan was an eight-year-old boy with hair similar to his father's similar to his father's own with the left side being spiky and longer in length and size than the right side of his head which was more straight like his mothers. In fact his hair was two colors with the spikier left side being silver like Kakashi's and the straighter right side being black like Shizune's. He also wore a mask like his father and elder sister as well. His other articles of clothing consisted of a dark jacket with white lines going down the ends of his sleeve and the ends of them being colored silver, navy blue pants, navy blue shinobi sandals and a white scarf that had prints of the Hatake clan symbol, that being a diamond with pattern of smaller diamonds within it making a total of nine, and the kanji for fang (牙). His scarf was most likely a reference to his grandfather, Sakumo, better known throughout the world as Konoha's White Fang.
"Kid's just like his father at that age. More attention put on training than actually spending time with the other kids." Shizune said with a sigh and shaking her head.
"He'll get better… hopefully." Kakashi said with his hands in his pockets.
"I'm still don't get why you have him and Aiya wear those masks. You plan on giving Eiko-chan the same thing when she's older?" Naruto questioned.
"No. She got her mother's features than mine, so there's no need." Kakashi said with eye smiles and a dismissive wave.
"I knew that's why you did that! You are so stingy, sensei!" Naruto exclaimed with annoyance as he pointed at his sensei with an accusing finger.
"How am I stingy for helping out my shy children?" Kakashi said, acting innocent.
"I doubt your eldest is the shy type." Sakura said with a frown and her arms crossed, causing Kakashi to chuckle a bit nervously in response.
"By the way, we noticed you visited tou-chan and kaa-san today." Naruto said, remembering the flowers on his parents' gravestones earlier.
"Well, it is a very special day." Kakashi said as his eyes then looked to Arashi, who was petting a chinchilla in his hands at the petting zoo. "I guess your mother's wish came true." Kakashi said.
"Huh?" Naruto looked confused, along with the others.
"Oh, I never told you the story did I." Kakashi said to the Hokage with a pair of eye smiles.
.
.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, Kushina!" A party of people said as the red haired Uzumaki woman grinned an Uzumaki grin as party poppers were sounded off around her.
Her birthday party was thrown in a restaurant with family friends from the Nara, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Aburame, Inuzuka, and, of course, Uchiha clans, along with several other citizens, attending, wishing her the best.
Kushina was sitting in front of a large cake, with her husband by her side, as she blew out the candles, causing everyone to clap in celebration.
"Arigato, Min'na!" Kushina said with a big grin as then Minato kissed her on the cheek. "Minato~, not in front of our friends." Kushina said with slight embarrassment, but still smiling as her husband chuckled in response.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, Kushina-chan." Minato said with a warm, loving smile that his wife returned.
After cutting up the large cake and serving everyone a slice, Minato helped Kushina up from her seat as she gently held her pregnant stomach. She let out an exhale as she rubbed her stomach, only to feel a little kick.
"Oh, he just kicked." Kushina told her husband.
"He's wishing you a happy birthday." Minato said with a smile, causing Kushina to smile back to him.
"Want a slice, Kushina-sama?" Young Kakashi asked as he extended a piece of cake to the Uzumaki woman.
"Yes, please." Kushina said with a smile as she took the cake. "Listen here you. I love cake, so you better too. I want to keep this down, understand, Naruto?" Kushina said to the baby in her belly.
"Looks like you're going to have a bit of a troublemaker there from the sounds of it, Kushina." Mikoto Uchiha, Kushina's best friend, said as she and her husband, Fugaku made their way over with their soon to be eldest son, Itachi, with them.
"I hope not. I don't need someone going around the village causing trouble here and there." Kushina said to the female Uchiha.
"Knowing who his mother is, I wouldn't hold my breath." Mikoto responded with a teasing smile.
"Oi!" Kushina complained causing everyone to laugh.
"Speaking of babies, it's almost around that time for your next child to be born, isn't it?" Minato asked the two Uchiha parents with a smile.
"That's right. He's due in about two weeks." Fugaku answered with a soft smile as he looked to his wife's pregnant belly.
"Or she." Mikoto said.
"I hope it's a he. I want a baby brother." Itachi said.
"What's wrong with having a little sister?" Kushina questioned with a smile.
"Nothing. I just prefer a brother." Itachi answered making the redhead laugh.
"Hope you don't mind me asking, but what did you wish for?" Mikoto asked.
"Nothing for myself." Kushina said as she rubbed her belly, softly smiling down to the child inside of her.
"I see." Mikoto said with an understanding smile. "You're not too far behind me. Just three more months, right?"
"That's right." Kushina answered with a nod.
"I hope our children become great friends." Mikoto said with a wide, hopeful smile.
"That was my second wish." Kushina said with a grin.
"Second wish? You're only given one on your birthday." Fugaku said with a raised eyebrow.
"Says who? There's no law against it." Kushina said with a frown and semi-crossing her arms.
"How many did you exactly have?" Minato asked with an amused smile.
"Three. My first one was for Naruto." Kushina answer as she softly smiled to her unborn child and rubbing her pregnant belly. "My second was that he would make really great friends. Hopefully the children of everyone here." Kushina said, looking up to everyone in the room, who were talking amongst one another. "And my third… well… it's kind of silly, dattebane." Kushina said with a small, embarrassed smile as she gently scratched her cheek with her finger.
"Silly?" Mikoto questioned.
"Well… see, Naruto will be born in October. I'm happy, but I was kind of hoping… that he would be born today." Kushina confessed as she held her belly again, surprising everyone.
"You didn't wish for him to be born now, did you?" Minato asked, showing a look of minor worry and concern.
"No, of course not. It's still too early for him, even if I want to meet him already." Kushina said. "So… I made a wish that… if he has a child or more … I want one of them to be born on my birthday. I know it sounds silly, but the thought of having someone I love sharing a birthday with me… it just makes me feel closer to them. I want that, 'ttebane." Kushina said with a soft smile, causing everyone to smile.
"I think that's a wonderful wish." Minato said as he hugged his wife with one arm.
"Too bad you'll have to wait a while to see if that'll happen." Fugaku said.
"Oh, I'm in no rush. I want to see Naruto grow up. I'll wait… for at least twenty-five years that is." Kushina said, causing Minato to chuckle, Mikoto to giggle and Fugaku to smirk in amusement, with Itachi and Kakashi smiling.
"Hopefully, he'll find someone by then." Minato said.
"Yeah." Kushina said with a smile. She suddenly giggled. "Hey, Mikoto, if your child is a girl, maybe we could be in-laws." Kushina said with a grin.
"That would be nice." Mikoto said with a smile, while her husband looked to the side, kind of not liking the idea. "Though, if it's a boy, that might be… a bit difficult."
"Well, if it turns out that way, and Naruto likes girls, I already thought of another who would be an adorable fit for my Naruto." Kushina said with a bright smile as she rubbed her stomach again, more affectionately this time.
"Who?" Minato asked.
"Mebuki's little girl. She was so utterly adorable! Her names Sakura, and she has the most prettiest pink hair that I have ever seen!" Kushina answered with a super bright smile.
"It sounds like you're trying to find a kindred spirit in your son's future spouse." Fugaku pointed out.
"To be honest, I'm counting on it! I got the feeling someone with my strong nature would be the only one to handle this little rambunctious bun in the oven." Kushina said as she affectionately rubbed her pregnant belly again, causing Minato to chuckle a bit nervously for his son, while Mikoto and Fugaku smiled with amusement, as the latter shook his head.
.
.
"Kaa-san… wished for this?" Naruto questioned, shocked by this new story.
'My mother knew Kushina-sama?!' Sakura thought with shock, never knowing this little piece of news.
"That's right." Kakashi answered with a pair of eye smiles.
"Well… I'll be damned." Tsunade said with surprise.
Naruto blinked his eyes, still in shock. They softened as he gained a small smile. He then started to chuckle.
"What's so funny?" Sakura asked.
"Nothing, it's just. I'm really happy! It sounds like I got to thank my mom for a lot the next time we see her, dattebayo." Naruto said to his wife with a bright smile.
Sakura smiled back in response. She then looked to her youngest, who was feeding the chinchilla in his arms.
'I do too.' Sakura thought as her smile widened.
"I think I have to also thank the gods too." Naruto said as he rubbed his chin.
"For what?" Sakura asked with a raised eyebrow.
"That I never married Sasuke. Thank goodness I like boys or that he wasn't born a girl. I wouldn't be able to handle it, 'ttebayo." Naruto answered.
"… We had a moment, and you ruined it." Sakura said with a frown and dull eyes as Tsunade, Kakashi and Shizune laughed with amusement, while Naruto chuckled nervously.
Meanwhile, Shinachiku was hanging out with his friends (Iwabe, Denki, Metal, Shikadai, Inojin, Chocho, Wasabi, Namida, Tsubaki and Arata) by the present table.
"Man, those are a lot of gifts. Nicely sized too." Shinachiku said as he looked throughout the many gifts his brother was getting today. "I'm guessing this one's from Denki." Shinachiku pointed to a really large gift box with shiny royal blue gift-wrapping fabric that shined off of the light of the lanterns and topped with golden ribbon.
"Is it that obvious?" Denki questioned with a bit of an embarrassed smile.
"The fact that it's the most extravagant is a big giveaway." Arata answered as the others laughed, causing Denki to laugh embarrassment.
"And this has to be Iwabe." Shinachiku said, pointing to a poorly wrapped gift.
"Hey, what makes you think that's mine?" Iwabe questioned with a frown and his arms crossed.
"We just bought this for him a little over an hour ago and the wrapping looks rushed." Shinachiku answered.
"Seriously?" Shikadai questioned with a raised eyebrow and small frown.
"You never cease to surprise me." Wasabi said with a frown and her arms crossed.
"What's that supposed to mean, eh?!" Iwabe questioned, putting on a tough front.
"By the way, Arata, where's Tsukia?" Shinachiku asked.
"And Miho?" Denki asked.
"They'll be here soon." Arata said.
"Didn't expect you to mention Miho, Denki. Something going on there?" Iwabe questioned with a smirk.
"Eh?" Denki flinched as he had a worried frown.
"Why Denki, don't tell me you're feeling something for our newest citizen." Chocho said with an amused, teasing smile.
"N-No! It's not like that! I was just curious if she would show up!" Denki quickly said with his cheeks red, and his hands raised up in defense.
"You're really not helping your case." Namida said with a sympathetic smile, making Denki groan with a wider embarrassed frown.
"Hello, everyone!" They all turned to see Tsukia had arrived with not just Miho, but also another friend.
"Hey, Tsukia, Miho, and… class rep?!" Shinachiku exclaimed as he and the others were surprised to see none other than Sumire Kakei, their graduating class' representative.
"Hello, everyone!" Sumire greeted the group with a bright smile.
"Sumire!" Wasabi and Namida exclaimed their old teammates name as they ran over and hugged her.
"Wasabi, Namida, it's been a while. I'm so glad to see you both again!" Sumire said with a bright smile as she hugged her old teammates again.
"So are we!" Namida said as she and Wasabi pulled back.
"I'm surprised you're here. Isn't the Advanced Technology Research Institute in Ryūtan City?" Shikadai questioned.
"Yes, but I decided to make a trip here. Rokudaime-sama stopped by earlier and mentioned Arashi-kun's birthday and I asked if I could visit. He accepted and brought me here through the Hiraishin." Sumire explained.
"Thank you, Rokudaime-sama!" Wasabi cheered with a bright grin.
"We have so many stories to tell you!" Namida quickly said with excitement.
"I've heard about them. I'm so happy that you're all safe and sound." Sumire said with a bright smile.
"Speaking of our adventures, we see you just met our new citizen." Inojin said, gesturing to Miho. "We just met her on our last one."
"Yes. I came across her and Tsukia-san earlier." Sumire said.
"Whoa! Speaking of earlier, you weren't wearing that earlier, Miho!" Iwabe said, noticing Miho's new attire.
Miho was now wearing a red dressed that stopped a bit above her knees, a golden belt around her waist, white heels, gold bracelets around her wrists and a white bow atop her head.
"I figured i-it would fit for the party." Miho said, looking down with a blush on her cheeks as she held her hands together. "C-Congratulations, Shinachiku-kun on five years with your little brother. A-and many more to come of course." Miho said, still looking down as she brought her clasped hands together.
"Arigato, Miho-san." Shinachiku thanked the orange haired girl with a smile.
"You know, our Denki here was asking about you." Iwabe said with a grin as he nudged a now nervous Denki.
"E-Eh?!" Miho finally looked up with surprised, wide eyes as her cheeks now lit up.
"Oh yeah, he was concerned on where you were." Shinachiku added with a smile.
"I-I was just curious! I mean, you were concerned about Tsukia earlier!" Denki quickly said.
"E-EH?!" Tsukia now had wide eyes and heated cheeks.
"Oh, yeah, speaking of, there was something I wanted to ask you." Shinachiku said.
"Yeah, what took you both so long?" Chocho asked.
"That's not what I was going to ask, actually, but yeah. What happened?"
"Oh, well, I decided to wait for Miho-chan." Tsukia quickly said, trying to hide her embarrassment.
"I… I didn't want to leave without uncle." Miho said as her eyes glanced over to the side where everyone looked to see Sasuke, Hinata and the members of Team Taka, talking with Naruto and Sakura.
"Oh, you mean Jugo-san." Denki said, now understanding.
"Wait, is he really your uncle?" Metal asked.
"I don't think so, but whether he is or not, he is family. A-And not just because we come from the same clan." Miho said as her eyes looked downward again as she poked her fingers together.
Tsukia smiled as she suddenly hugged Miho with a single arm, making the orange hair girl smile at her.
"Well, that answers that, but I still wanted to ask something else." Shinachiku said. "Tsukia, what is it about me that makes you nervous?" Shinachiku asked.
"Huh?" Tsukia looked to Shinachiku with wide eyes and a tint of pink on her cheeks as everyone looked to him in surprise.
"Well, earlier Iwabe told me that you get nervous around me similarly to how Denki was getting nervous around Miho." Shinachiku explained.
"EH?!" Tsukia flinched with a look of shock and worry as her cheeks were now burning red.
The others just looked to Iwabe with disapproving frowns, causing the tall kōdona genin to flinch as their disappointed eyes were on him.
"I mean… is it serious?" Shinachiku asked.
"U-Uh… w-well…" Tsukia's eyes started to look downward as she started to twiddle with her fingers.
"I mean, if it is then I want to know what it's all about." Shinachiku said, causing Tsukia to flinch again as her whole face turned completely red. "So please, don't hold back." Shinachiku pleaded with a determined expression, ready to help Tsukia out.
Tsukia was making a nervous squeal as her whole face was steaming and her body shook.
"Hey, ankle-biters." A new female voice spoke, making them all turn to see Aiya, who was with Mirai, who was holding a gift box in her arms.
"Hello, everyone." Mirai greeted the group with a smile.
"Mirai-san! Hello!" Shinachiku greeted the Sarutobi girl with a bright smile as he had hearts for eyes. "I'm so happy you're here! Let me get that present for you!" Shinachiku said as he suddenly appeared in front of Mirai and took the gift box from her.
"Oh, thank you, Shinachiku." Mirai said with a pleasant smile.
"Anytime, Mirai-san! I'm always here for you! T-To help! Of course." Shinachiku said with a dopey grin on his face and a blush on his cheeks before he started marching away.
Tsukia watched a now giggling Shinachiku walk towards the table where the gifts were.
"Baka." Tsukia said with a sigh as her face returned to its original color.
"So clueless." Aiya said with a hidden smirk beneath her mask and shaking her head.
"Hmm?" Mirai looked to the silver haired Jonin with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh, nothing." Aiya said with a dismissive wave.
"Hey, Aiya-chan! I love your outfit today!" Iwabe said with a huge grin and blush on his cheeks.
"Oh, well thank you for noticing, Iwabe-kun." Aiya said with a pair of eye smiles as she showed off a silver dress that stopped at her knees and showed a bit of cleavage with a white belt around her waist, silver heels, black bands wrapped around her biceps, several silver bracelets around her wrists, a black choker around the neck with a silver emblem of her clan's symbol attached to the front and diamond stud earrings. "I know it might be a bit much for a kid's party, but I wanted to at least look nice for today. You only turn five once." Aiya said with a hidden smile.
"Along with all other ages." Arata said in a low tone.
"You act like you're going to a photo shoot. You could have gone with something a little less flashy." Mirai said.
"Mm~, no thanks. You're better at it than I am. And I mean that as a compliment. I wasn't gifted with the proper looks to pull off something as adorable as your outfit." Aiya said, gesturing to Mirai's outfit, which was short sleeve pale yellow blouse with red lining at the end of the sleeves and red collar, a white skirt that stopped at her knees and red flats.
"As much as I want to argue with you, you're not wrong. I don't see you wearing anything like this." Mirai said with an amused smile as she imagined Aiya trying to pull off an outfit like her own.
"I agree! It's perfect on you, Mirai-san! No way Aiya can make that look better than you, dattebaro!" Shinachiku said with a dopey grin and rubbing the back of his head.
"Why thank you, Shinachiku." Mirai said with a delighted smile.
"Even if that's true, Aiya-chan looks more amazing with her own outfits! Who could ignore someone who looks as graceful as that!" Iwabe said with his own dopey grin and rubbing the back of his own head as he was beside Shinachiku.
"Thank you, Iwabe." Aiya said with a pair of eye smiles as Mirai rolled her eyes at this.
"Mirai-san is very graceful." Shinachiku said, still grinning and rubbing the back of his head.
"Not as graceful as Aiya-chan!" Iwabe retorted, still grinning and rubbing the back of his head as well.
"You don't know what you're talking about."
"Up yours."
The two chuckled as they kept grinning, but suddenly they were blown away by a gust of wind, surprising the rest.
"Cool down boys." A female voice spoke, making everyone turn to see a dark-haired girl around Mirai and Aiya's age, holding a giant fan that was pressed against the ground.
"Hey, Shikako." Aiya greeted the dark-haired girl with a wave and pair of eye smiles.
Shikako had dark hair done up in a pair of bushy ponytails with a long bang that covered the right side of her forehead and the outer side of her right eye with her eyes being the color of teal. She wore a teal dress that stopped at her knees and same-colored heels.
"You read my mind there, sensei." Wasabi said to older girl with a smirk, happy she 'cooled down' Iwabe and Shinachiku with a wind jutsu.
"Nee-san." Shikadai greeted his older sister. "Why did you bring that?"
"A shinobi should always bring their weapon anywhere. You don't know when you'll need them, so you have to keep them on you whenever something ugly shows up. Better safe than sorry, Shikadai. I thought you'd be wise enough for that." Shikako said to her little brother, scolding him a bit.
"Yeah, yeah. Man, not even at a party you can't help, but be troublesome." Shikadai said with a frown as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"As if you're not anymore of a drag yourself." Shikako retorted with a hand on her hip.
"What's with you girls and dressing up for a kid's party like this?" Shikadai questioned, not even seeing why even his sister would even bother.
"You wouldn't understand Shikadai. You're a boy."
"Thank the kamis I am." Shikadai said, mentally thanking the gods for his gender.
"Anyway, Shō and I are hanging by the food table over there if you want to stop by Mirai, Aiya. They're actually serving sake at this party." Shikako told the Chunin and Jonin.
"I'm in! Lead the way." Aiya said with a fist pump as she then followed Shikako.
"H-Hold on! There's sake here?! At a kid's party?!" Mirai questioned with shock.
"Oh, yeah. Hanami was willing to not prank for an entire week so it could be here for Tsunade-Sobo-chan." Shinachiku said as he sat up on the ground, rubbing the back of his head.
"Your sister didn't prank anyone for a week?" Sumire asked with shock.
"Nah. Kaa-chan and tou-chan lowered it to two days because they knew she wouldn't have survived." Shinachiku said as Iwabe was on his hands and knees beside him, shaking his head to free him of a daze.
"That's more believable." Arata said.
"Oh, great." Mirai said with a frown as she turned her head towards Aiya and Shikako's retreating forms. "Aiya! You better not go overboard!" Mirai called out as she ran after her friends.
Shinachiku groaned as he got to his feet, before remembering his previous conversation with Tsukia.
"Oh, Tsukia! Sorry, I almost forgot. About-"
"Don't worry about it." Tsukia said, surprising her blonde friend. "It's not something that needs to be discussed now."
"Tsukia…" Shinachiku now felt bad that he blew her off, not intentionally of course.
"Don't worry. Our friendship isn't in peril or anything. I know that's what you're worried about, but don't worry. Our bond is unbreakable, Shina-kun." Tsukia said, giving Shinachiku a smile.
Shinachiku groaned with a frown. He was happy their friendship was alright and still going strong, but he still felt bad that he ignored her for a minute and was still curious on what made her nervous around him.
"But… you'll tell me it one day, right?" Shinachiku asked.
Tsukia hanged her head a bit as she then smiled.
"Yeah! I'll tell you the reason one day. I promise." Tsukia said as she looked to Shinachiku with a bright, joy-filled smile.
Shinachiku smiled in response. He then walked over to her and raised a pinky to her.
"I'll hold you to that." Shinachiku said with a smile, causing Tsukia's smile to widen as her cheeks turned pink again.
"Hai." Tsukia said as she wrapped her pinky around Shinachiku's making him grin an Uzumaki grin.
Tsukia continued to smile to Shinachiku, but then she noticed her female friends grinning and giving her thumbs ups and winks behind Shinachiku, causing Tsukia's face to turn red again in embarrassment.
"You okay?" Shinachiku asked, noticing her change in demeanor and red face.
"H-Hai!" Tsukia said as she lowered her head.
"You sure? You look like you have a fe…"
"Hn?" Tsukia looked to Shinachiku, wondering why he stopped only to see his eyes widened with fear as his face was started to be drenched in sweat. "Dō shita no?" (What's the matter?) Tsukia asked in confusion. She turned her head to where he was looking to see her father in the distance, glaring at Shinachiku with his Sharingan giving a red gleam. "Tou-san!" Tsukia shouted out as she got in front of Shinachiku and extended her arms out, as if protecting her crush from him.
"Why does ojisan look at me like that sometimes?" Shinachiku questioned as he had a scared anime look.
"It's a mystery." Arata 'answered' with a bit of an amused smile.
"Hn." Sasuke just turned his head away, deciding to leave his daughter be and now was focused on ignoring Suigetsu's teasing as he, Jugo and Karin laughed, while Hinata smiled and placed a hand on her husband's shoulder, while holding their youngest daughter, Jin, in her other arm. Naruto also joined in on the teasing with a big ol' grin while Sakura just giggled and shook her head.
For the next hour the party went off without a hitch. Everyone was having fun, especially the kids with all the stuff Naruto got for the party.
However, things stopped when Hanami had an announcement to make.
The sole daughter of the Hokage leaped onto a table and spoke out loud and proud.
"Alright everybody! Listen up and listen well!" Hanami shouted out, catching everyone's attention.
"Oh no, what's she doing now?" Sakura questioned with a worried frown.
"Causing a scene like her father." Sasuke answered, earning a dull glare from Naruto.
"Now, I came up with this great idea just for this occasion. It came to me in a dream and now it's going to become a reality." Hanami continued as she rubbed her hands together as she grinned. "Arashi, get over here!" Hanami called out to her little brother.
"Oh no." Arashi said with a frown as he started walking over, deciding to get this over with.
"Sit." Hanami ordered, pointing to one of the table's seats.
"And so it begins." Arashi said in a low tone as he sat down.
"Now this dream I had was so great, but it was something I couldn't accomplish with my own two hands. I know. Something even Konoha's future Pink Hokage couldn't accomplish almost sounds like blasphemy."
"Oh good lord, she's hamming it up." Shinachiku said, pinching his eyes shut as he shook his head.
"So, that's why I relied on the help of some old family friends." Hanami said as then Ayame arrived at the table and placed a bowl in front of Arashi with the top covered.
"Ramen… really?" Arashi said, looking to his sister with a frown.
"Oh, this isn't just any ramen." Hanami said with a cheeky grin.
"It's our new special ramen and you're going to be the first to try it." Ayame said with a smile as she took off the lid, revealing a ramen never seen before.
"Is that… candy?" Arashi questioned with shock as he noticed that the ramen before him wasn't made with noodles and broth.
The ramen was made up of red licorice ropes as its noodles, had several strawberries, pellets of strawberry mochi, two slices of matcha, and sprinkles, all together in a broth of strawberry milk and for added measure, the ingredients were drizzled with a little bit of strawberry syrup in the pattern of a spiral and a ring of whip cream surrounding the edge of the bowl in a ring.
"We call this new little creation the All Too Sweet Ramen!" Ayame announced with a smile.
"Chow down, otōto." Hanami said with a grin, extending a pair of chopsticks to Arashi.
Arashi blinked his eyes, still surprised by this turn of events. He took the chopstick and placed them right beside the bowl as he then clapped his hands together.
"Gochisousama deshita." (Thank you for the meal) Arashi said before grabbing the chopsticks again and breaking them apart. He took a few of the licorice ropes and slurped them up. His eyes suddenly widened in shock.
"Well, so how is it?" Hanami asked as she knelt in front of her brother.
After a moment of silence, Arashi suddenly started slurping up all the noodles, ate all the other sweet ingredients and slurped up the strawberry milk, all at a fast pace. He sighed with delight as he placed the bowl back onto the table and now had a mustache of whip cream on his lips.
"Can I have some more please?" Arashi asked with hopeful eyes and a blush across his cheeks.
"Success!" Hanami cheered, thrusting his fist into the air as everyone clapped and cheered.
"Luckily we have more prepared for everyone who is willing to try." Ayame said with a smile as she gestured to a nearby long table where her husband and daughter had placed many bowls of their new desert ramen, causing all the kids to cheer as they hurried over to try out the new concoction.
"And you didn't want me to surprise you." Hanami said to her brother with a grin.
"Well, knowing you, how was I supposed to know it would be this pleasant?" Arashi said as he turned his head away with a red blush on his cheeks and an embarrassed pout on his face.
"Here Arashi, have another." Naruto said as he came over and placed another bowl of the new All Too Sweet Ramen right in front of his eldest.
"Arigato, tou-chan." Arashi said to his father.
"And~?" Hanami questioned with an all too sweet smile as she tilted her head to the side and poked her own cheeks with her index fingers, causing Arashi to sigh.
"Thank you, onee-san. This truly is a wonderful gift." Arashi said to his sister with a genuine smile.
"I figured that it would! Now you can eat ramen with us whenever we go to Ichiraku's instead of having to order those fruit pies, dattebara." Hanami said with a grin.
"Great. So the whole family is now obsessed with ramen. How lonely it will feel being the only one without a constant need for a bowl." Sakura said with a joking smile as she made her way over with Shinachiku, who had his own bowl of the All Too Sweet Ramen in his hands. "Just so you know, after that I don't want you to have another one. You still got to save room for cake after all."
"Okay, mama." Arashi said to his mother before slurping up some licorice ropes.
"You know this was a pretty neat idea. They also have other kinds of flavored milk acting as broth. Mine is watermelon milkshake." Shinachiku said as he slurped up some licorice ropes. "Hey, I know we shouldn't be greedy, but since this is Hanami's idea, are we getting any royalties out of this?" Shinachiku asked. "Just out of curiosity."
"Eh. It doesn't matter." Hanami said with a shrug, surprising her family. "I got to help Ichiraku's advance in their never-ending journey to fill the hungry souls of the world with a brand-new ramen bowl that will no doubt attract so many new customers. That alone fills my souls more than any amount of ramen could." Hanami said with a smile, causing her family to blink their eyes, still in surprise, before smiling at her. "Besides, I wouldn't feel good about demanding money from them since they are the ones doing all the hard work, dattebara."
"That's my girl." Sakura said as she walked over and hugged her daughter as Naruto ruffled her hair with an Uzumaki grin, which she matched with one of her own.
"Hey, since we'll be doing the cake soon, I think we should take our family photo first before that happens, 'ttebayo." Naruto suggested.
"Agreed." Sakura said with a nod as she pulled back from her daughter.
"I'll go get Tsunade-O bāchan!" Hanami exclaimed as she hopped off of the table and hurried off to find her grandmother-figure.
"I'll get Mebuki-O bāchan and Kizashi-Ojīchan." Shinachiku said as he then slurped up the watermelon milkshake broth, placed the bowl on the table and hurried off to find his maternal grandparents, but not before grabbing a napkin from the table to wipe his upper lip, which had a mustache of whip cream.
"Arashi-kun, you got some whip cream here." Sakura said as she took a napkin from the table as well, and started wiping her youngest's upper lip, making him groan a bit in embarrassment.
"How's your birthday been so far?" Naruto asked his younger son with a smile.
"So far… I have no complaints." Arashi confessed with a smile as his mother finished cleaning his upper lip.
"Good." Naruto said with a nod and smiling.
"That's what's important." Sakura said with her own smile.
"Oh, I just remembered something. I'll be back." Naruto said as he flitted away in a flash of golden light.
'Where's he going?' Sakura wondered.
"Kaa-chan, we're getting ready!" Hanami called out as she was dragging Tsunade with her, who was a little tipsy, while Shinachiku followed with their grandparents in tow.
"Hopefully your father is aiming to do the same." Sakura said in a low tone. As if on cue, Naruto appeared back beside her and Arashi, surprising the two. "There you are. Where did you go?" Sakura asked.
"Home. I had to get something important first." Naruto said with a smile as he showed off a small, framed portrait of both his parents on it.
"I see." Sakura said with a soft smile as she then kissed her husband on his cheek. "Good thinking, hon." Sakura complimented with a bright smile, while Naruto had a wide, yet bashful smile with his cheeks being red as he stared at Sakura with loving eyes.
"Guys, we got the camera ready! Hurry up!" Hanami called out to her parents.
"We're coming! Keep your pants on!" Naruto called out with a grin as he and Sakura, who was holding Arashi's hand, walked over towards the rest of their family.
The Uzumaki/Haruno family picked a nice spot with lanterns above them and in the distance behind them was the large tree within Senju Park, surrounded by the large body of water.
"Here Arashi. Take this and stand in the center." Naruto said to his son with a soft smile as he knelt and handed him the small portrait of his parents.
"Hai, tou-chan." Arashi said with a nod as he took the picture of his paternal grandparents into his hands.
The family then lines up with Naruto, Hanami and Tsunade standing on the left, Sakura, Shinachiku, Mebuki and Kizashi on the right, and at the center in between the patriarch and matriarch of the Uzumaki clan was Arashi, holding the small portrait of his paternal grandparents, Minato and Kushina, in his hands and facing the camera.
Naruto had made a clone to take the picture for them.
"Alright, say 'dattebayo!" The Naruto clone called out.
"Dattebayo!" They all called out with big grins as the clone took the picture.
Since it was using a polaroid, the picture came out, which it took out and gently waved it a bit before handing it to its creator.
"Perfect." Naruto said with a smile before his clone handed him the camera and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
"Can I see it?" Arashi asked his father.
"Of course." Naruto said, smiling to his youngest and handing him the picture.
Arashi took the picture and examined it, smiling happily at the picture of his whole family. Well, whole living family that is. However, he suddenly noticed that behind his parents were none other than his grandparents and even Jiraiya, who were grinning as well. He blinked his eyes before quickly rubbing them and looked back at the picture, only to no longer see the three dearly departed.
'Did I…'
"What's wrong?" Naruto asked, noticing his youngest son's behavior.
After a moment of silence, Arashi softly smile.
"Nothing. Just thinking about how nice this picture is. I almost can't believe my eyes, dattebare." Arashi said, smiling to his father with a bright smile and pair of eye smiles.
Naruto smiled back at his youngest then knelt and gently ruffled his head, causing him to chuckle with a grin.
"Naruto, we're gonna bring out the cake in a bit. You have it sealed away?" Sakura asked.
"Of course." Naruto said as he stood up straight and walked over towards his wife as he took out a scroll from his orange with black flames haori.
Arashi had his focus back onto the picture in his hand, smiling warmly at what he swore he saw. What he knew he saw, and how it made him feel.
"I love my weird family." Arashi said with a smile before following after his father.
A distance from his retreating form, the spirits of Minato, Kushina and Jiraiya watched him off.
"We love you too, kid." Jiraiya said with a smile and his arms crossed.
"Always will." Minato added with his own smile.
"Otanjōbiomedetō, my little Arashi-kun." Kushina said with a warm smile, happily watching the one she was proud to share a birthday with joining the rest of the family.
The day did not end with fireworks, no source of chaos was found, and it the word bombastic was far from describing how things went. But did it need to be?
Today wasn't about being loud or outdoing anything. It was a simple, nice little day, celebrating a nice simple little boy. A boy who was so loved that his family did their best to give him a nice, calm day, which they were not known for. Though it was simple, the love they had for the youngest of the clan was palpable, without the need to be overly expressive.
Love doesn't need to be screamed out for the whole world to heard. Sometimes speaking it softly made it just as special. Sometimes even more so. The way they celebrated today was just like that.
To the youngest, it was perfect.
Despite nothing big happening, he and his family will never forget today. So far, this was the best day he ever had, and he would not trade it for anything. And it goes without saying that he would never trade the family that did it all for anything as well.
The family he was proud to have. The family he was happily born to be in. His greatest gift ever. Forever.
End of Chapter 3
Now this was fun. Won't lie though, I was worried with this one because Arashi isn't loud or as expressive as the rest of his family, so I was worried that this would stump me several times throughout it, but it looks like I was lucky. Hell, I didn't even expect it to be this long! I am genuinely surprised by the amount I wrote for Arashi's portion. Thank goodness, am I right?
Anyway, I know that it's a little late, exactly a week after Arashi's birthday, but it's still July, so I say it still counts. Hell, I didn't plan on posting each chapter on their birthday anyway. I figured so long as it is in the same month, close to the original date, that it would be fine enough. I'd say it still counts since I feel that it's appropriate to celebrate the whole month as their birth-month for the Uzumaki family! Everyone celebrates a month for certain characters, so why not the same for each member of the NaruSaku clan, eh?
Either way, I'm happy that I managed to finish this and post it in July. Little fun fact I want to share, July 10th will now hold an even closer place in my heart because not only is it Arashi and Kushina's birthday, but my nephew was baptized on that same day! Imagine that! My nephew was baptized on the same day as Kushina and Arashi! I feel so proud!
Well, I'll end this now since this chapter is long enough as it is.
Thank you all for reading and I hope you all will also enjoy Tsunade's, which will be coming out next month! See ya there!
Takeshi1225, Out!
