A drabble that takes place post 2x24. Nick and Jess finally have breakfast together and Jess lets Nick know how she feels. There's hand-holding, yelling, kissing, and a lot of smiling. A serving of fluff with a side of seriousness. I may continue this as a series of small drabbles.

What happened between Jess slamming the front door, Nick catching her in the elevator, their kissing in his bedroom, and the breathless final moments in Virgins?

NOW COMPLETE! Jess is confused as to what all these events that have come to pass mean to Nick, because he won't tell her. Takes place shortly after "First Date", maybe a day or two after. Based on the Chantal Kreviazuk song of the same name.

Jess ends up in the hospital and Nick is surprised by unexpected news he hears when he arrives.

It had been four days since they had decided "not to think" and in that time all he had had time to do was think. It's crazy and intense and he feels worry, concern, stress, and relief pressing down on his shoulders and all he really wants to do is turn around and run away. That's not really an option for him anymore, though.

Jess couldn't be a big girl. She couldn't watch it alone. She needed to find a way to convince him to watch it with her.

Just a little fic based on the sneak peeks from 2x24, what if Jess' dad hadn't shown up and Nick actually got the chance to bring Jess breakfast. More chapters coming up!

'And no need to worry, that's wasting time. And no need to wonder what's been on my mind – it's you.' - They'd finally felt like them again, with the laughing and teasing – nothing hanging over them anymore. It feels like them, but better (stronger).

"Jess, why didn't you tell me?" Nick asked desperately. How could she have not told them what was going on? How could she not have told him? Inspired by the events of "Injured." Angst, romance, fluff, and eventual Nick/Jess.

Nick's reaction to the first (of many) nights with Jess. "He loved that, even after everything they'd done for each other and to each other last night, just kissing her was still almost better than all the fantastic sex. Almost."
