Don't expect all updates out this fast, but I am going to try and keep up a decent pace. A friend offered to take the place of the original person who inspired this story, so there's no plot changes I have to make. Went back and changed the name but that's it. Read, enjoy, and don't forget to review!

Shadow walked into the pizzeria that night smiling. Foxy had lost the first game, BADLY, and insisted on a rematch. When he lost that one too, he had tossed the board with a muttered curse. Plushtrap was in shutdown in the bag she was carrying, curled around one of the items inside. She waved at the three on stage and made her way to the office. Sitting in the chair, she put the bag on the floor and pulled Plushtrap out, setting him on the desk where he sat up and stretched with a happy click.

"Have a good nap there buddy?"

Plushtrap chirped and hugged the bear he was holding onto tighter. Shadow chuckled.

"Wonder how Freddy's gonna react to that thing. When did you even grab that from the room in Nightmare's realm anyways?"

Plushtrap shrugged and chirped again. When the phone rang, Shadow sat back to listen.

"Hello, hello? Hey! Wow, day 4. I knew you could do it. Uh, hey, listen, I may not be around to send you a message tomorrow. *banging* It's...it's been a bad night for me. Um, I-I'm kind of glad I recorded my messages for you *clears throat* uh, when I did.

Uh, hey, do me a favor. *Banging* Maybe sometime, uh, you could check inside those suits in the back room? *banging* I'm gonna to try to hold out until someone checks. Maybe it won't be so bad. *bang bang* Uh, I-I-I-I always wondered what was in all those empty heads back there. *chime plays* You know...*deep moan* oh, no - *noises followed by a loud screech and static*"

Shadow stared at the phone, eyes stony. She knew what they did to people, had seen it herself, but hearing it done to the person who had kept her informed and tried to keep her alive...it upset her.

Bonnie knew what the night 4 phone call had. When he had been the one chosen to go down and see how Shadow was doing and if she'd be joining them in the main room, he had a feeling it wouldn't be good. Seeing the look on her face as he made his way closer to the security room, he flinched. She was glaring at the phone as if it had murdered her family. He didn't know why he felt so scared of a human, but something about Shadow terrified him. Maybe it was the unknown factor of her abilities. All they knew was that she could teleport, but maybe there was more. Something that could hurt them.

Ears down, Bonnie knocked on the doorframe. When Shadow's glare centered on him, he took a nervous step backwards.

"Err...hi?"

Shadow looked away and shook her head.

"I need some time to process this Bonnie. Please, just go."

Head down, Bonnie headed back down the hallway to let the others know what had happened. It was because of this that he did not see Shadow shiver violently, eyes glowing slightly as she turned to look at him leave. Shadow shivered again, pulling Plushtrap into a hug.

"Guess they can feel fear too buddy...ugh. I'm never going to get used to this feeling."

Plushtrap purred comfortingly, snuggling further into Shadow's chest. A few minutes later, Shadow sighed and stood up.

"Come on buddy...let's go talk to them."

Plushtrap jumped onto the desk, grabbing the little Freddy plush, before scaling his way back up Shadow, who chuckled as he settled on her shoulder.

"That thing's half the size of you buddy."

Plushtrap just chirped happily.

"Guess I should bring the tablet to keep an eye on the place still. Can't get myself fired, eh?"

Picking up the tablet and her bag, Shadow made her way down the hallways. Stopping, she stared at the wall.

"These newspaper clippings weren't here before...huh. It's about the missing children and this place shutting down. I don't think they would have done this, and it wasn't like this when we came in. There's something not natural going on here Plush."

Plushtrap cooed softly and buried his face in the bear. Shadow chuckled and reached up to scratch behind one of Plushtrap's ears, getting a squeak out of him and him leaning deeper into the scratches. When she got into the main party room, she found Freddy perched in one of the too-small for him chairs, reading a book, while Bonnie and Chica were sitting on the edge of the stage around a game of checkers. Shadow hummed and leaned against the doorway.

"Y'know Fazbear, one of these days those chairs are going to break underneath you and send you tumbling to the floor."

Freddy looked up from his book, annoyed.

"It hasn't happened yet, and I've done this for years."

Shadow just smirked and hiding a hand behind her back, slowly manipulating a tendril of darkness around one of the chair legs. Chica saw the moving shadow, and poked Bonnie to point at it. Both of them looked at it then at the smirking Shadow. Grinning, Bonnie got up and went backstage and came back out of Freddy's line of sight with an old camera in hand. Smirk growing, Shadow clenched her fist, the tendril of darkness tightening around the chair leg until it broke with a loud SNAP! Freddy yelped as the chair went backwards, hitting the ground hard as his legs went up in the air. Dazed, he heard the click of a camera and loud laughter from Shadow and the others. Growling, Freddy rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself up, brushing the dirt off.

"Very funny."

Freddy frowned as he looked at Plushtrap and the bear he was clinging to, confused.

"What is that, and where did he get it?"

Shadow snickered.

"I should think it's obvious what it is. It's a little plush you. It's got very soft fur too. Much softer than you and your prickly attitude. As for where he got it...I'm afraid that's my little secret. Now...I do believe we never finished 20 questions, did we?"

Freddy frowned again, but nodded.

"Indeed, we did not...it was your turn, was it not?"

Shadow waved her hand dismissively.

"I don't have any more questions right now; you guys can ask yours."

"Very well. What did you mean last night by saving the pizzeria?"

Shadow sighed.

"I should have expected that one. Alright. Let's just say I have a very good source of information. I learned that Foxy was going to be scrapped, and you three and the pizzeria sold. That's why I took Foxy home to fix, and why I had to figure out if you three could be redeemed...no point saving the pizzeria if the animatronics were irredeemable monsters."

Freddy's ears drooped and he looked away, while Bonnie and Chica exchanged sad glances before staring at the floor. Shadow sighed.

"Stop looking like kicked puppies. Yeah, you did bad things...really bad things...but I know why. I can understand. You had no idea what was truly going on. The fact that you three can see now that it was wrong and feel sorry for it shows that you deserve a second chance. I wouldn't have come back if I thought otherwise."

Shadow muttered to herself.

"Nightmare and Fredbear certainly wouldn't have let me come back if that were the case."

Bonnie tilted his head curiously. Obviously, she hadn't meant for them to hear that, but Bonnie's hearing was, as to be expected, quite good. Again, those names had been mentioned. She had said they were her mentors, practically family, but their names were strange. Not like any name he'd heard a human with before. He started paying attention again once Shadow started talking.

"Anyways! We don't have to worry about saving the pizzeria anymore, Nightmare said he'd take care of things for me after I visited him yesterday after my shift. That also means I can do a few more basic repairs for you guys, because he told me to do what I needed to, damn the consequences. And Bonnie, that ear of yours has been bugging me like mad. It's going to fall off soon if I don't fix that."

Bonnie grinned nervously.

"Be gentle? My ears are delicate."

Shadow snickered.

"Do you really think I'd try to hurt you? C'mon Bonnie, I know it's only been a few days but you should know me better than that by now! Sit down on the edge of the stage so I can reach your ear better without a step-stool."

Digging through her bag for the right tools, she also pulled out a needle and some purple thread that matched Bonnie's fur. Working carefully, she tightened the bolts holding the ear on before sewing the costume back together.

"There! Good as new. Let's see...nothing else I can see obviously on you lot that needs repair, so that'll have to wait until the manager gets his head out of his ass and hires me on as a mechanic. Then I can give you guys a good fix."

Freddy scowled.

"This is a children's establishment, watch your language night guard."

Shadow snickered again.

"Such a stickler for the rules, huh Fazbear? Guess I'll just go back to the security room and not show you guys what I brought."

Freddy's ears perked up.

"I suppose I can relent on the rules for tonight..."

Shadow smirked.

"Curiosity killed the cat...or bear in this case, huh?"

Freddy just crossed his arm and stuck his snout in the air with a grumble. Shadow grinned and dug through her bag again, pulling out a laptop.

"Alright you three, come here. Manager usually gets here around 7:30...this movie should end by 7, so I'm gonna stick your free roam on for now, but you can't argue when it's time to put it back off! Alright?"

When all three animatronics agreed, Shadow quickly turned free roam on for all of them before sitting on the edge of the stage and turning the laptop on.

"This is a Disney movie that's just come out recently...it's a good one, I really enjoyed it and I think you will too."

A few hours later

It was the middle of the final scene of Onward when Shadow heard a noise out front. The three animatronics were crouched around her, glued to the movie, when she looked up and the manager walked in. Eyes going wide, she made a shush gesture at the shocked man. He narrowed his eyes but sat down in one of the chairs, watching the animatronics. When the end credits started playing, Bonnie and Chica stayed crouched watching, but Freddy stood up and stretched, freezing when he met the eyes of the manager. Chica was the first to notice, looking at Freddy in confusion before looking in the direction he was staring, also freezing when she saw the manager watching them. Shadow chuckled nervously, gently patting Bonnie's leg as he too noticed the manager.

"Err...hi boss. You're in a bit early."

The manager just leaned back in the chair and crossed his arms.

"That I am...only to find three extremely dangerous animatronics in free roam past the free roam hours, watching a movie with the night guard. Just what do you think you're doing?"

Shadow grimaced.

"Look...they're not as bad as you make them out to be. You just gotta talk to them. They learn from actions. They're not a threat once they know you're not a threat. Isn't that right guys?"

Freddy looked down at Shadow and frowned, looking back at the manager in suspicion. Shadow rolled her eyes.

"He's your manager buddy. He keeps this place running and the power supplied to keep you three running."

Freddy tilted his head and looked back at the manager before taking off his top hat and tipping it to the manager, who looked quite surprised.

"Interesting...how did you figure this one out?"

Shadow shrugged.

"I kinda ran out of power the night before last, so I talked my way out of it while I was running in circles."

The manager raised an eyebrow.

"I see. Well. I'm afraid we can't keep them in free roam during the day. Not yet at least."

Shadow nodded.

"Yeah, I know. I told them as much last night. My condition for turning it on so they could finish the movie was they wouldn't make a fuss when it came time to turn it back off. C'mon guys, back in your places."

The three exchanged glances before standing up and walking back into their places, watching Shadow as she turned their free roam off, one by one. The manager cleared his throat.

"My office please night guard."

Shadow grimaced and walked down the hallway behind the manager. When they reached his office, he gestured to the seat in front of his desk. He sat down and crossed his arms.

"How did you get them moving so well?"

Shadow furrowed her brow.

"I didn't. I did figure out though that it's the free roam lock that makes them so jerky when it's off. They weren't built to always have it turned off. I may be able to fix it, but not in a few hours."

The manager hummed.

"I see. Well, I have come to a decision regarding your request to be hired on as a mechanic. If the fox comes back in working condition, consider yourself hired. The spare costume for him is waiting in Pirate's Cove. Good luck."

With a relieved sigh, Shadow left the office. Waving to the animatronics and giving them a thumbs up, she stepped into a shadow and teleported home.
