I've had a strong urge to kill someone lately, and that's going to be reflected quite strongly in this chapter. If any of you are readers from any of my previous stories, you know by now I'm not afraid to get violent in a VERY bloody way. *grins wickedly* I hope you are all ready for this story to take off.
Seriously though, DO NOT CONTINUE TO READ if gore makes you sick. There's a reason I changed the rating to mature.
Shadow hummed happily to herself as she finished fitting Foxy with his new suit. She'd had to turn him off so she could take the old one apart and put the new one on without him moving and screwing something up, or getting her fingers caught in any of the mechanisms that attached the suit to him. Walking around to his back, she booted him back up. While he was going through his startup, she looked over at her animatronic. She hadn't told Foxy or the others yet what she could do with it, and she still wasn't sure if she would.
"Yarr me hearties, welcome to Pirate's Cove!"
Shadow turned to look at Foxy and blinked. The fox just blinked back.
"...I didn't accidentally reset you somehow, did I?"
Foxy blinked again.
"Crap...the manager's gonna kill me. Screw the manager, FREDDY's gonna kill me!"
Shadow groaned.
"This is so not good. I don't understand, he's possessed, he should be normal still...resetting an animatronic can't reset a soul...can it? Fuck. I need to go talk to Nightmare and Fredbear. Foxy, just...ugh...stay here."
Shadow turned Foxy's free roam off, making sure the fox couldn't wander before opening a portal to Nightmare and Fredbear's realm, stepping through. Trotting down the hallway, she passed through the curtain of darkness, ending up at the bottom of the path leading up to the castle. Making her way through the gate and into the courtyard, Shadow frowned. Usually they could tell if she was coming, and one of them would be waiting in the courtyard, but it was empty. Shrugging, she walked up to the castle, pushing the heavy gate open and walking in. The large foyer was dark, with archways leading off in different directions. Her feet clicked against the stone floor as she turned in a circle.
"Well...this could be a problem. Which way...huh. Eenie, meeny, miny...moe. Guess I'm going this way."
As she walked, it slowly got darker, to the point where she could barely see. Frowning, Shadow stopped.
"Guess I should have come in my suit. Then at least I could have seen to make my way around."
Shadow scowled.
"Fuck it. I'm going to get it. There's no finding them if I can't see where I'm going."
Stepping back to her apartment, Shadow went and laid down on her bed, concentrating on the animatronic in the next room. With a sigh, Shadow's body stopped breathing, and her eyes opened as the animatronic hummed to life. Flexing her hands and turning to look at the immobile Foxy, Shadow frowned.
"This is still weird. Never going to get used to this."
Checking in her room quickly, she stared at her body with half-lidded eyes.
"Never, ever going to get used to seeing myself basically in a coma..."
With a mechanical sigh, she opened a portal back to the other realm, stepping through and quickly making her way back to the castle again. Things seemed brighter, and it was much easier to open the large doors to get in this time. Heading down the same hallway, she looked around. The walls were bare, other than the occasional tapestry of strange, medieval scenes.
One had an army of knights against a pair of massive dragons, one black, one golden.
Another scene had a room of hooded men bowing to a pair of strange looking creatures, again with one black and one gold.
Shrugging, Shadow kept walking. Eventually, she came to another set of large doors. Pushing them open, she was met with a long, dark room full of pillars, and at the end of the room, two massive thrones, one made of a deep black stone, the other made of shining gold. It was then that she realized the tapestries had been that of Nightmare and Fredbear and forms they had taken in years past. Shadow snorted.
"Bit full of themselves..."
She shook her head and turned to leave. When there was a noise behind her, Shadow froze and turned to stare into the glowing eyes of Fredbear, Nightmare lurking in the shadows behind him, both with wicked grins.
"Hello little Shadow. You've come at just the right moment. You see, we had a discussion...and if we are to continue teaching you...well. You need to prove that you won't let a little thing like your humanity stand in your way. Nightmare thought you would come wearing your human body, but it seems I was right and you came in your animatronic body. It will be much easier to manipulate with no adverse effects."
Shadow's eyes were wide, ears pinned against her head. Shaking it desperately, she backed up, only to hit a pillar. Fredbear just chuckled and came closer, paw reaching for her. Shadow ducked under the reaching claws, darting for the doors, only to run headfirst into Nightmare, who plunged his claws deep into her chest. Gasping, Shadow clawed desperately at his hand, staring up into his eyes fearfully.
"Come now my little one...don't run. This is for your own good, don't you see that? I will even let you borrow my form as a sign of goodwill."
Shadow shrieked as pain ripped through her systems, wires tearing and endoskeleton twisting. Soon though, the pain melted away and all she could think of was how hungry she was. With an angry snarl, she flexed her paws, claws scraping harshly against the floor as Nightmare and Fredbear exchanged wicked smirks behind her. Gold eyes darted to a puddle underneath a crumbled part of the ceiling. Standing up, she staggered over to it, looking into it. A spitting image of Nightmare stared up back at her, with her golden eyes instead of his red. With another snarl, she violently tore open a portal between realities, staggering through into a dark alleyway.
Lifting her head, she looked down towards the entrance of the alleyway. At the end was a young girl, looking terrified, surrounded by three large men. One was playing with a knife, leering at the girl as the other two held her by each arm against the alley wall. Feeling the fear flowing off the girl, she shuddered and snarled, teeth clicking as she snapped her jaws together. Flexing her claws, she took a few heavy steps towards the group of humans.
Hearing the footsteps, the man with the knife stared down the alley, trying to see into the darkness. Hearing a bestial snarl, he took a step backwards before scowling and heading into the dark. The two men holding the girl look at each other and shrugged. Suddenly, the third guy came running back down the alleyway, yelling in panic. Behind him, out of the darkness charged Shadow. The other two men also yelled in panic, only for all 3 to stop dead in their tracks. Shadow was no longer behind them, but waiting at the entrance of the alleyway, blocking off their escape. The young girl was cowering close to Shadow, hoping to stay unnoticed. It wasn't to be though, as Shadow soon noticed the quaking girl. Growling loudly, she stepped closer to the girl, who fainted in sheer fright. Shadow snorted before focusing her attention back on the three men. The one with the knife was shaking, and the other two had shakily pulled out guns and pointed them at her. Eyes glowing brightly, she stepped closer, causing the two men to shoot in a panic. Shadow staggered backwards before continuing to walk forward with an angry growl.
The two men dropped their guns and with desperate yells, tried to charge past Shadow. As they got close, Shadow just smirked and swung both paws forward, blood spraying as her claws dug deep into both their chests. Pulling her bloody paws backwards, both bodies slid off her claws and dropped to the ground, gaping wounds in their chests. The final man, still shaking, stepped forward swinging his knife. Stabbing it deep into Shadow's chest, he staggered backwards panting. Shadow just tilted her head downwards, wrapping a paw around the knife and pulling it out, letting it clatter to the ground. Reaching out, she grabbed him around the neck, lifting him off the ground up to her eye level. Seeing the dark spot on his pants, she chuckled darkly.
Babbling in a language she couldn't understand, the man kept shaking his head desperately, tears dripping down his face. Growling, she just tightened her grip, slowly cutting off his air supply. He scrabbled desperately at her paw with his hands, gasping for breath. Satisfied at last by his fear, Shadow opened her mouth wide, twisting her head sideways as she bit down, bits of skull and brain matter falling to the ground. Dropping the corpse, Shadow looked around the alleyway. Seeing the girl still unconscious near the entrance, she turned around and walked towards her with a low growl. Suddenly feeling dizzy, Shadow leaned against the wall, eyesight beginning to go fuzzy. Everything went dark as she hit the ground with a loud thud.
With a strangled gasp, Shadow sat straight up in her bed, heart pounding and eyes wide. Scrambling out of the bed and staggering out into the hallway, she quickly made her way into the spare room. Opening the door, she stopped. Her animatronic was where it always was, looking normal and no sign of blood anywhere. Foxy was in the other corner in recharge, new suit covered in dust that she hadn't yet cleaned off it. Shadow let out a long sigh.
"It was just a nightmare...I fixed Foxy the minute I came home, crashed, and had a really, REALLY weird nightmare. Everything's fine...I didn't kill anyone."
Shadow shuddered.
"I seriously need to stop eating leftover pizza before sleeping."
