Drabble/alternate ending to Simmons' time in Hydra. Coulson receives a cryptic call that delivers the news he never wanted to hear. Set after ep. 2 x 3 (Making Friends and Influencing People) and before ep. 2 x 5 (A Hen in the Wolf House).

They're both broken, though their scars couldn't be more different. One's imprisoned, ashamed of what he has done. The other was left with brain damage, unable to think like he used to. They're both ignored and left alone by the others. One decides to halfway trust the other to talk to him. Maybe they can both help work out each other's kinks. Spoilers for season two as progresses.

Skye has a pretty specific skill set. She may not have graduated high school or understand much about algebra but there's one thing she does better than anyone else. Stealing. She can be in and out of a bank in a matter of minutes and there's nothing she can't handle... That is until she walks into a bank already being robbed by faces from the past.
