The ending of the first story was so sad that I wanted to revise it. With the tiniest nod to the show Everwood NOT a crossover I have managed to keep AJ alive in this one! Oh, and you get to find out why Mac was smiling if you read the first one.

AJ is expecting a pleasant visit with his niece until she brings a friend along for the visit and he encounters someone who looks just like the woman he is in love with!

This is an alternate ending to Hail and Farewell, the way I would like to have seen the story of AJ and Mac resolved! It is also the story that won best in category for Missing Scene the 2005 Chaz Awards.

HarmJen SUMMARY: Mac never knew how close she was when she called Harm part of a Dream Team. The only thing she was wrong about was the other part of the team...

AJ meets a young woman who has a legal problem involving the child she is carrying. She is fighting for custody from the grandparents who lost their only son on 9/11. As AJ is helping her to resolve these issues they fall in love.

Somehow, I just never liked the fate/coin toss ending to Harm and Mac's story. So, if it were up to me, this is how it would have ended.

Harm decides he has had enough and he runs off to join the French Foreign Legion. This is my first ever ff so please be gentle with me : I intend to update this story weekly if its found good enough
