I do not own nada.

Beverly had on her headphones. She was bopping her head to the newest Trendbender's album. She was so absorbed in her music that she did not hear Caesar come in. Caesar watched her mouthing the words silently as she moved to the beat. He could hear some of the music leak out. Caesar winced remembering his last Trendbender's concert. He had ringing in his ears for weeks. In fact, his ears hurt just thinking about it. Maybe it was time to introduce Beverly to some more… soothing music.

He tapped her on the shoulder. Startled Beverly jumped and pulled the headphones off. Blaring rock could be heard from the earcups.

"Good music?" He asked her.

"Oh yeah, it's their best album yet." She nodded.

"Well, I guess it's good… how do they call it… head smashing music." Caesar said.

Beverly giggled. "That's head banging." She corrected.

"You know what I mean." Caesar said. "But can I show you to music that is more… intimate?"

Beverly had no idea what he meant but she could feel the heat rising to her face. "Umm, sure."

Caesar pulled out his smart phone. Flipping through several times on the screen he seemed to find what he was looking for. "Enrique Iglesias." He said.

"Who?" Beverly asked.

"He is the son of Julio Iglesias. My parents were very much into his music. So I guess I naturally gravitated to his son's music." Caesar shrugged.

"Wait. Didn't he have that dance song?" Beverly asked trying to remember.

"Yes, but not one of his better. Let me show you." He pushed something on his phone.

"Hola viejo dime cómo estás
Los años pasan y no hemos vuelto a hablar
Y no quiero que te pienses

Que me olvidado de ti
."

The haunting strains of the music came from his phone.

"Oh it's beautiful." Beverly said softly. "What's it mean?"

"Hello old friend, tell me how you are, the years go by; we have not spoken;

I do not want you to think that I have forgotten you." Caesar replied. Then he took her hand. Beverly looked stunned for a moment as Caesar pulled her closer.

"As for me, I cannot complain,I am working, the same as always, even though I confess that there is much loneliness in my life." Caesar translated for her as he slowly swayed with her. "At the bottom of it all, you and I are pretty much the same, And I go crazy just thinking. Maybe, life separates us more each day. Maybe, life distances us from reality. Maybe, you are searching for a desert and I am searching for an ocean. Maybe, thanks to life, today I love you more." He continued translating as he started to move more rhythmically to the music. "Hello old friend, tell me how you are, there is so much I want to explain to you, Because no one knows if tomorrow I will be here still. Sometimes we have gone backwards, you have always wanted to be right, but I am tired, and do not want to argue."

Beverly at first could only stand awkwardly. But as the music flooded the room, she started to mimic Caesar's movements. She placed her arms around his neck. His hands were on her hips as he lead her in a slow dance. Somewhere in the middle of the song, their foreheads touched and their eyes were locked on each other. Beverly was surprised at what she saw in his eyes. She knew he was pretty passionate when it came to science but sometimes she wondered if he would ever feel the same way for her. Now she had her answer. Caesar for his part was surprised at all the feelings he usually associated with new scientific studies could also be for a person… this person in particular. They swayed until the music ended. But they weren't even sure when it did.

Beverly was the first to notice that they were standing locked in an embrace in a silent room. She was afraid to break the magic that the song had created.

Luckily, Caesar spoke first. "And that is what I like." He said quietly.

"I can see why." Beverly swallowed hard. He leaned in and kissed her lightly. When he pulled away, she was beaming.

"Play it again." She said with a smile.

Caesar was smiling too. He gladly obliged.

The Song is called Quizas by Enrique Iglesias. You can listen to it on youtube. The song reminded me of them.
