Time for a return to Regina's POV now we know what's going on with Robin.

Regina awoke to a pleasant warmth wrapped around her, strong arms held her close and for a moment she had to think about what was happening. It was only when she caught the scent of pine that she realised exactly who was in bed with her, holding her tight. She closed her eyes and revelled in his heat for a moment before shaking her head and rolling over to look at him.

He was still sleeping, his lips parting as he let out small breaths, she couldn't help but be mesmerised by him. It wasn't as though she had never woken up next to him before, it had happened once, but this time just seemed different. Even after the conversations they'd had the night before things hadn't been resolve and she knew she was a little bit stupid for asking him to stay over. She should still be mad at him, she deserved to be angry, he'd hurt her.

It was hard to be mad at him when he was in her bed looking so peaceful. She just wanted to cuddle up to him and go back to sleep, maybe forget about the whole thing and put it behind her. The thing was though that she couldn't do that, she couldn't forget the way he had treated her over the past couple of days.

Heaving a sigh of annoyance she pried herself from his embrace and sat up in the bed, somehow still not waking him up. God damnit why did he had to look so amazing whilst he was asleep? She was about to slip out of bed and head to the bathroom when she spotted his phone light up on the nightstand.

Regina knew that she shouldn't do it and that it was probably wrong of her but she couldn't help but peer at the screen to see what it was.

I know what you've done.

Her eyebrows furrowed as she read over the words, what the hell was that all about? It was strange and she didn't like it at all. The message had come from an unknown number and it just didn't sit right with her, it made her stomach clench in nervousness. Was he being threatened by someone? What was going on? "Robin," she whispered, nudging him gently, testing to see if he would wake up; which he didn't.

"Robin." This time she pushed him a little harder, she needed to talk to him and that wasn't going to happen if he remained asleep.

"Hmm?" he groaned, reaching a hand out and finding her, once he made contact with her his eyes flashed open and he turned to look at her. "Regina?"

"I think we need to talk, don't you?"

"We're going to be late for school," Robin stated with a shake of his head as he looked at the clock on her bedside table and moved to sit up.

"Stop it, you've been avoiding this for the past few days and I'm sick of it," she offered him a glare as she shoved him back down again, leaning over to snatch his phone and show him the message on the screen. "What's going on Robin?"

"That's nothing. Don't worry about it," he groaned, grabbing his phone off her and moving out of the bed.

He was avoiding the topic yet again, she shouldn't be surprised, but it was annoying that he didn't feel that he could talk to her about what was happening, she wanted to know, maybe she would even be able to help him out with whatever it was. "Stop shutting me out! I thought we were past that stage!"

He grabbed his pants and shirt off the chair where he'd dropped them the night before and began to get dressed. She just sat there on the bed crossed legged, watching him with an unhappy expression on her face. She couldn't even bring herself to be affected by seeing him half naked, she was too annoyed to be turned on. "Regina, this isn't your problem."

"Then make it my problem, we're in this together," she stood from the bed and moved over to him, taking his hands in hers, stopping him from pulling his shirt over his head as she stepped closer. "What do I need to do to prove to you that I'm in this with you?"

He closed his eyes and shook his head before pulling his hands away from hers. "I'm going to suggest to professor Nolan that you be given a new tutor."

Regina's mouth fell open in shock as she stared at him not knowing what the fuck he was playing at. "I don't think so."

"It's for the best, for both of us."

"No, I'm not going to have anyone else tutor me. I don't want anyone else. I'd rather fail!"

"Stop being so stubborn and listen to me! I'm not going to tutor you anymore, we're not going to talk anymore and that's the way it has to be!" he huffed, slipping his phone into his back pocket and pulling his shirt over his head before heading to the door.

"Don't you dare walk away from me! You fucking coward!" she seethed, moving closer and shoving him, pinning him against the door. "You can't just do this to me, Robin, you can't quit on me without any explanation. Last night you said that someone wouldn't let us be together, who? Who Robin?"

"I don't know! I don't know who they are okay. I just know that they won't be happy."

"Give me your phone."

"No. Gina, no."

"Give me the phone!" she yelled, reaching around him and shoving her hand in the pocket of his jeans to take his phone out. Not that she knew his passcode to unlock it, but she had to try something. "What's the passcode?"

"Give it back Regina! We need to be apart that's the only way to keep you safe."

"Unlock it now Robin, I won't ask you again."

He grabbed the phone from her and tried to head out the door only for her to press herself against him, pinning him against the door despite how small she was in comparison to him. He tried to look anywhere but at her and she was done with his stupid games. "Regina…"

"Please."

He took a deep breath before unlocking his phone and passing it to her. She took it from him and went to the messages, reading through all the vile things he had been sent from this unknown number over the past couple of days. She swallowed heavily, understanding now why he might have been as distant as he had been. Someone had been threatening him, telling him to stay away, break her heart or they'd hurt her.

"I didn't want you to see that shit," he groaned, moving away from the door and sitting back down on the bed, watching her as she scrolled through the texts.

"This is just someone from school fucking with you Robin," she scoffed, moving closer to him, her hands resting on his cheeks as she dropped his phone down on the mattress and pushed her way between his thighs. Her fingers made their way into his hair as she played with the short strands. "You need to block their number and forget about it. We can't let them get between us," she rubbed her nose against his gently.

"You're right," he nodded, his hands moving to her waist as he hugged her tight.

She picked the phone up yet again and clicked dial on the unknown number before he could stop her.

"About time you called me Locksley. I saw you with her last night, what the fuck did you think you were doing? I thought I'd warned you."

"Okay you listen to me and you listen good," she hissed into the receiver, "I don't know who the hell you are, but you need to lose this number, you got that? What you're doing is disgusting, so stay the fuck out of our lives."

The phone disconnected with no answer from the distorted voice on the other end of the call, they clearly hadn't been expecting her to be the one calling.

"Think I scared them away."

"God Regina I can't believe you just did that!"

"What do you think they are really going to do to me Robin?" she scoffed with an eye roll as she played with the stubble covering his cheek. "Trust me I'll be fine."

He sighed and shook his head, looking down clearly trying to work out what the hell they were going to do next. Regina watched him silently, glancing briefly at her alarm clock, knowing that she really should start getting ready for school.

"Why don't you go downstairs and get me a coffee whilst I get dressed?" she smirked, earning a humourless laugh from Robin as he stood from the bed, his hands still on her waist.

"Yes, your majesty."

"You could even make me breakfast if you wanted."

"You don't want much do you?" he chuckled, moving one of his hands to tuck a small strand of her hair behind her ear.

"Just toast will do," she hummed, rising onto her tiptoes to press a kiss to his cheek, "now hurry up. We haven't got long till we need to be going."

"Fine."

"Thank you, slave."

"Oh, you are going to get it."

She giggled and shoved him towards the door before heading over to her closet and grabbing a simple pair of jeans and the galaxy hoody she had stolen from Robin the weekend before. Her hair was shoved up in a messy bun and she painted her lips with a light sheen of lip gloss, foregoing any other makeup product. Once that was done, she grabbed Robin's glasses from where he left them on the bedside table and headed downstairs to find him.

"Hey you left these up… Robin?" She furrowed her eyebrow upon finding the kitchen empty apart from the steaming mug of coffee and plate of toast on the counter. If it wasn't for those, she wouldn't have known that he had been there at all. "Robin?" she called, leaving the room and moving through the house. Had he actually just left without saying anything, without any explanation? "Mom, have you seen…"

"He's gone home dear, told me to tell you that he needed to get changed and that he'd see you at school."

"Oh," she screwed her nose up and placed his glasses on her head before heading back into the kitchen to eat her toast. Although he had a point about changing out of the clothes, he had been wearing she would have appreciated being told first, even if he had told her mother. She would have driven him if he had just waited a moment, she just hoped that he wasn't freaking out of her again.

Twenty minutes later Regina pulled into the parking lot at school, yet again seeing all her so-called friends stood on the steps to the building. Clearly they hadn't learnt from the day before where she'd had to physically make them move. She wasn't going to be doing that today though, she didn't have time for it. She didn't have time to deal with bullshit.

Slamming her car door she flung her bag over her shoulder and headed towards the school doors, Robin better be in there or there was going to be trouble.

"About time Mills."

A grin edged onto her face as she pulled her bottom lip between her teeth and turned to look at the owner of the voice, seeing Robin leant against the wall smirking at her. "You're lucky you're here right now otherwise you would be getting your ass kicked by me this time and trust me I pack a better punch than Nottingham."

"Oh I'm sure of it," he chuckled.

She let out a small sigh of relief and bumped her hip with his before gesturing to the doors, "shall we?"

"Let's get it over with." She grinned at him and slipped her hand into his watching a shocked expression form on his face. "Are you serious? We're not actually going to walk inside like this are we?"

"Why? You ashamed to be seen with me?" She asked, quirking an eyebrow at him as she gave his hand a little squeeze. She for one was past caring what other people thought, she was sick and tired of being judged by others; now she was ready to just be herself and be with who she wanted.

"Are you serious? Pretty sure it's the other way around. It's one thing people knowing I'm your study buddy, it's another completely people thinking we're together."

"We are together, aren't we? At least you said you wanted us to be and I want us to be. I want to show you off, is that a crime?" Regina watched as his eyes widened at her statement and let out a little chuckle.

"You never fail to surprise me."

"I'm just keeping you on your toes," she smirked. "Also do you like my sweatshirt?"

"I think you mean do I like my sweatshirt, thief. Also didn't Emma say that you'd get tormented if anyone ever saw you wearing that?"

"I am past caring. They can all go fuck themselves as far as I'm concerned. Come on robin we're going to be late." She tugged his arm making him speed up as they moved towards the entrance.

"Millsy!" Daniel shouted, waving at her, she gave him a little wave in return but focused on making her way through the main doors, her heart was in her throat due to the nerves swirling through her.

She spotted Tink grinning at them and couldn't stop the little smile from making its way onto her lips.

"I can't believe you're actually wearing that for school," Emma sniggered, laughing with a bunch of other girls from the cheer squad.

"Do I look like I give a fuck about what anyone thinks?" Regina asked, raising an eyebrow at them but remaining calm as she moved closer to Robin, playing with his fingers gently. She could tell he was freaking out and really didn't want to be stood there, it was her responsibility to get him out of the situation.

The group of girls stopped laughing at the words of their head cheerleader, all just awkwardly shuffling about. "The answer to that would be certainly not. If any of you have a problem with the way I dress or the people I hang around with then tough shit. Grow up children," she rolled her eyes, tugging on Robin's hand as she lead him inside hearing people jeering behind her.

"I can't believe you just did that," Robin breathed. She could almost feel the relief rolling off him as they cleared the populars and made their way towards their lockers.

"Well, I think they needed telling. If I'm pushed out because of it then I couldn't really care less. I talked to my mother yesterday, when you weren't talking to me. I realised that I hated being popular, I know that people who aren't might think that pathetic, but they don't understand how awful it is, you're expected to be perfect all the time and sometimes I can't be bothered, most of the time really."

"I get it, you don't want to be the centre of attention all the time."

"Exactly! It's awful. Some days I just want to come to school in my pyjamas and have done with it. Not that I'd go quite that far," she giggled, opening her locker and taking out a book she would need for their next lesson.

"Oh my god."

"What?" She asked, turning to look at him, seeing the smirk playing on his lips.

"You stole my glasses? That's taking it too far, I let you off with the sweatshirt but I kind of need them to see."

"Oh," she grinned, taking the glasses off her head and handing them to him. She'd completely forgotten that they were there if she were honest. "I came down to give you them at breakfast and you were gone."

"Yeah, sorry about that, I didn't want to turn up to school in my training gear, that and I had nothing I needed for my lessons. I should have told you before I disappeared though and I'm sorry."

"It's okay, at least you told my mother before you left and didn't just vanish," she grinned, closing her locker before turning to look at him. "See you at lunch?"

"Yeah definitely."

She nodded and pressed her lips to his cheek gently before waving at him and heading in the opposite direction with huge smile on her face.

Regina was waiting outside the classroom for the teacher to turn up when someone grabbed her from behind, she turned her head quickly to see her friend beaming at her. "Okay so spill, what happened with Robin?"

"He explained what was going on and we talked it out. I think we're good again."

"Thank god!" Tink breathed, "I was worried about the two of you for a bit, I so wanted it to work out for you."

"Me too."

"So why has he been ignoring you?"

"Someone has been threatening him and sending him nasty messages. They're awful Tink, I know what Robin is like, he's a worrier and I think he got freaked out by it."

"Who would do that though? That's insane. It sounds like something out of a horror film."

"Don't say that I'm already freaked out enough. I'm pretty sure they were just screwing with him that's all." Regina shrugged, she wasn't so sure, she had no idea who was tormenting him or what they might be capable of. She guessed they knew the person but it could be anyone, she just couldn't put her finger on exactly who.

"So you're seeing each other now then? Is he your boyfriend?"

"I'm not sure. I know I want him to be and I'm pretty sure he likes me the same way. We just haven't had an official conversation, I'm not entirely sure where we stand." Regina sighed, spotting the teacher walking down the corridor towards them. "I think we need to just sit down and talk about it."

"Well apart from the stalker or whatever they are, it sounds like you're heading in the right direction."

"I hope so, I really do. I want to be with him."

"Oh my god, he'll probably be your first."

Regina cast her friend a nervous smile and nodded gently, Tink was right, she could definitely see her first time being with Robin.

They all piled into the classroom and it was only when she sat down that she noticed the absence of the person who usually sat beside her. "Where's Kat?"

"I dunno, haven't seen her today. She's probably hungover from last night, apparently she made her way through a bottle of vodka."

"God, how does she manage it?"

"No idea. I just hope Emma was watching her, you know how she gets when she drinks."

"Yeah I know," Regina sighed, reaching for her phone to send a text to her friend asking her if she was okay. Even when she had been drinking, she usually still came to school the next day, hungover or not so it was strange that she hadn't turned up.

Before she could think that much more about it the lesson began and she listened intently to the teacher, taking notes as she went, making sure that she at least tried to take in what she was being taught, even if Robin would probably have to go through it with her in a different way, at least she'd have a basis from which to work on.

The morning seemed to drag on and when lunch finally rolled around Regina headed to her locker to meet Robin there. She realised that they hadn't exactly set out a meeting point but assumed that he would probably go there anyway. Her eyes kept moving from one direction to the other, scanning the corridor to try and spot him, but instead of finding Robin she found Emma, heading straight towards her.

"Hey Regina."

"What do you want?"

"I actually wanted to apologise for what I said this morning, I get that it was totally bitchy and I'm sorry. I was just trying to tease you."

"Not really in the mood for that kind of shit to be honest Emma," she sighed with a head shake.

"I totally get that, that's why I'm apologising to you."

"Fine, I appreciate the apology." She was about to turn away from the blonde when she thought of something, "you haven't talked to Kathryn today have you?"

"No, haven't seen her since last night, she was pretty smashed though so who knows."

"Didn't you take her home?"

"Nope, I stayed over at Killian's, don't know where she got off to," Emma shrugged, making Regina narrow her eyes. She really was worried now; it had been over three hours since she had messaged Kathryn without receiving a response.

"Don't you think that it's a little strange that she hasn't contacted any of us to let us know that she's staying home though? She usually at least tells us she won't be coming in."

"Regina, don't stress about it, she'll be perfectly fine. Now, are you coming to lunch or what?"

"Actually I'm…"

"Meeting your nerd?" Regina rose a single eyebrow at her friend who just grinned at her and shrugged, "I get it, your type is smart guys, I'm not judging. See you later?"

"Hmm," she nodded, watching as the blonde headed down the corridor, stopping to talk to people along the way. Regina turned back to her locker and unlocked it, she didn't know how she and Robin were going to approach lunch, they hadn't ever sat in the cafeteria together before. They hadn't eaten lunch together so publicly and the way she saw it, doing so was making a statement.

"Hey."

"Hi!" she turned, beaming at Robin as he leant against the locker, books in his arms and his glasses perched on his nose. "I didn't know we would be needing extra seats for this lunch. Are you planning to bring all your friends or…"

"Oh my god, Regina Mills, I thought you were different to all the rest," he scoffed in feigning hurt.

She grinned and shook her head, "hmm, well, when you're bringing textbooks to lunch you know there's a slight problem. Also, I couldn't resist."

"I do have friends you know. As for the books, I need to leave them in my locker before lunch, I popped to the library really quickly before I came here, I needed to let my reading group know I wouldn't be there."

"So you went to say you wouldn't be able to read with the group and came away with like ten books?"

"These are the books I requested with the librarian and they have finally come in stock, I'm so excited."

Regina had to bite down on her bottom lip as she tried to refrain from laughing, "I think that might just be the nerdiest thing I have ever heard you say."

"Come on, what about that time I tried to show you something form my science textbook."

"Okay, okay, but it was certainly up there. Put your books away, I'm ready to go eat right now."

"Speaking of that."

"Hmm."

"Do you think we ought to keep us hanging out on the downlow, just for now you know. I don't want to…"

"Why should we have to do that, I know you're freaked out by this person, but they are messing with you. It's probably Nottingham or some other jerk like that and they just want to send you around the bend."

"Yeah but…"

"No buts Robin. We're friends and if we want to eat together in the canteen, we can eat together in the canteen."

"You're right."

She nodded to herself, feeling slightly disheartened that he hadn't protested that they were something more. She was confused as to where they stood because one minute, he would be telling her how much liked her and thought she was beautiful and the next they would be just friends. It was all rather up in the air.

As soon as they entered the cafeteria, she could feel eyes on her, but tried to ignore it, she grinned at Robin as they headed towards the queue to get food, she just wanted to focus on him and enjoying being able to eat together. "What are you getting?" she asked, looking up at him as her hand played with the messy bun on the top of her head.

"I haven't decided yet."

"Well, I was thinking pizza."

"Oooh nice choice."

"I know right. I just hope that they have a good one today."

"Me too."

She smiled at him before reaching for his hand and playing gently with his fingers, "I think we need to talk later about what we are to each other." Robin nodded in response, she could tell that he was worried about it and she hoped that the only reason for that was the threatening messages and not that he didn't actually want to be with her.

Her self-doubt kept creeping up on her, she questioned herself and the situation she was in. She wasn't having to only rely on herself, she was putting her trust in Robin and was willing to be in a relationship for the first time in her life. It was scary and daunting but she felt ready to take that step, but she wasn't so sure that Robin was on the same page.

When they'd bought their food and found a table Regina was well aware that they were being watched. It wasn't even by just a couple of people, nearly everyone in the canteen was either staring at them or attempting to be secretive in their glances. She could tell that Robin was antsy about it, he kept shuffling about, he was uncomfortable being the centre of attention and she couldn't blame him.

"Robin."

"Yeah?" he looked across at her, finally stopping all the fidgeting. All she did in response was offer him a mischievous smirk as her hand grabbed his on the table.

"Stop worrying."

"I'm not."

"Could have fooled me. You look pretty worried."

"I'm not it's just..."

"You hate sitting in the canteen?"

"Yeah, there's that. I try and avoid it at all costs, to be honest."

Regina nodded, she realised that maybe she hadn't been fair in making him come sit with her in the dining hall. All she had wanted to do was show everyone that she wasn't who they thought she was. "Let's go then."

"No, it's fine, I don't mind."

"Robin, please, it would make me feel better, I hate that you're so uncomfortable being here." It was awkward, she was probably just as uncomfortable as he was, what was it that made being together around other people so strange? "Come on," she grabbed her bag in on hand and her pizza in the other, whilst trying to juggle all of the other food she had bought.

"Where are we even going to eat?"

"I think I know a place," she grinned, "follow me."

Robin chuckled as he stood and grabbed all of his stuff before following her out of the canteen, down the corridor and out of the main entrance.

Regina found her keys and unlocked her car before sliding into the back and leaving the door open for him. "Seriously you want to eat in your car?"

"It was either the car or the janitor's closet."

"Okay, I'll give you that."

Regina took a bite from her slice of pizza as she leant back against the door, lifting her feet up onto the seat, touching Robin's thigh with her toes. She was so eager to have the conversation about what they meant to one another but she didn't want to bring it up again, she was sick and tired of asking.

They sat there finishing off their lunch in silence, she wanted Robin to say something, anything even but he still looked nervous as though he were waiting for something to happen.

"I um, I wanted to ask you something," Robin quipped, clearing his throat.

Regina watched him, her eyes widening as she shuffled closer to him, tucking her hair behind her ear as she prepared herself for what was to come. She couldn't quite believe it, was it actually the moment she had been waiting for? Finally. "Go ahead."

"Would you maybe want to come over for dinner at mine tonight?"

She nodded and forced a smile onto her face, trying to press down the disappointment she felt. It seemed she was back to waiting for him to make a move, if he took much longer she was going to have to do it for him. She didn't think she could take much more.

Oooh leave me with your Kathryn predictions! Also who else is annoyed at Robin right now? Hehe. ;)
