Chapter 6: The Camping Sleepover

One cool third Saturday of June 2022, I met up with my childhood friends Sarah, James, and Henri at Boyce Park for Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties client Sarah Ching's Camping Sleepover. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. First, we went swimming in the wave pool followed by a nature scavenger hunt. "Camping is always a fun thing to do with your friends in the spring and summertime," James pointed out. "Yes, that is one of the best parts of camping, all right!" Henri happily exclaimed. "It is always a great time to listen to Santana just before these big events happen," I told my friends. "As I recently discovered a new song by them." "Let's face it!" James exclaimed. "I just turned 34 years old and I still don't have a girlfriend, and Sybil was not nearly my best bet back in high school since she and I had nothing in common," James stated. "School Picture Day was also a nightmare that year," Sarah stated. "Well, good thing Henri and I helped you out, huh, James?" I asked. "Yes, you guys were both very helpful to me and Sarah," James agreed. Then, we cooked hot dogs and marshmallows over the campfire to make s'mores and also told ghost stories around the campfire before it was time for all of us to go to bed. "Thanks for a great evening, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
