As winter rolls in and the first snowfall arrives on Sodor, the Island is taken by surprise when the aurora borealis shines above it. The engines are all spellbound by it's magnificence, and four engines in particular are sure to never forget this beautiful sight.

Thomas refuses to leave his side, and, surprisingly, the Fat Controller is nice about it. But, Thomas isn't the only one who's not giving up on Percy's life.

Owing to the ever-increasing tourists to the Culdee Fell Railway, the manager, Mr Richards, in conjunction with the Fat Controller, have decided to build a new engine to help. But the new engine is skittish and incredibly shy, which makes her dangerous as a mountain engine. Can she learn to overcome her fears, or will she suffer the same fate as Godred...?
