Chapter 6 - Coming to terms with differences.
Gringott looked as he remembered. Regulus even had the impression that time had stopped in this place. He stumbled over to the nearest counter. He didn't want to be recognized, but Reg had to arrange it in the end. He was alive, so there should be no problem with his power over the family estate, but he didn't want Albus Dumbledore to be able to use it. He knew that this wizard's intentions were not entirely clear.
- Good morning. - He greeted a rather young goblin, who looked as if he was seriously considering something. - I'd like to talk to Ironfang or another goblin currently working on the Black family estate.
- And with whom do I have the pleasure? - the hoarseness was clearly noticeable in the goblin's voice.
- Regulus Arcturus Black. The only heir of this family. However, information about my appearance should be kept away from outsiders. Discretion is very important to me.

I'm getting closer… So close. I've seen him before. I want to be closer. Help him. I have to help him. I have to save him. Only he was left with me…. But why is it so difficult? Why didn't Albus help me? Why didn't Remus believe me? He loved him ... He loves him. I love him. Why didn't he believe in me?

Ironfang has long since been involved in supervising the estates of the families belonging to the so-called "Sacred 28". The only property still in his care was the property of the Black family. Despite what he was told about the possible death of the heir, he refused to believe it. All crypt security was still active, which meant that the young wizard he remembered from years ago was still alive. If he had bowed to the demands of the Wizengamot, the fortune would probably go to the previously disinherited Sirius Black. It should go to Draco Malfoy, but Albus Dumbledore asked for a solution that was against goblin rights. And knowing the range of his contacts, he would have achieved his goal.
As the elder goblin once again looked through the documents relating to the estate's properties, he heard a soft knock. - Come in. - he growled, nervous as he informed the other bankers that he didn't want anyone to disturb him.
- Sorry to bother you, but the young wizard wants to speak to the overseer of the Black fortune.
Ironfang thought someone was making a joke of him. It would be too much of a coincidence. - Let him come in. I hope this isn't a waste of my time.
It was a while before the door reopened and the goblin was brought before someone whom the magical community wanted to bury many years ago.
- Welcome back. I hope gold has been kind to you. - the young man's voice was a bit hoarse, as if he was nervous or having a cold. - Do you have some time for me?

Finally. Hogwarts ... Merlin, help me save him. I can't lose him either. I have to get Harry back. He shouldn't be with Petunia. I won't lose him like I lost Reg ... How I lost Remus ...

Regulus followed the young goblin without hesitation. He was surprised to take him to where the Chief Goblin was based instead of to the controllers' offices. The door in front of which they stopped was oak. The black oak looked amazing. Filled with magic. Sparkling like nothing else. That's what he liked about Gringott. This amount of magic wasn't to be found even at Hogwarts.
- ... the wizard demands to speak to the overseer of the Black fortune.
- Let him come in. I hope this isn't a waste of my time.
After hearing the scraps of conversation, the door opened and the goblin let him in. His eyes saw a creature he had known from early childhood.
- Welcome back. Hope gold has been kind to you. Reg felt weird to use a greeting that hadn't crossed his lips in so long. - Do you have some time for me?
Iron Fang nodded in agreement, and a slightly tired smile appeared on his face. - Of course. You have finally shown up, and we cannot allow you to disappear again.
- I wasn't sure if I was pronounced dead and I have come to make arrangements regarding my inheritance.
- Do you have a specific idea about your plans? - The goblin was clearly interested.
Regulus took a deep breath before speaking in a firm voice. - I want to make my daughter my heir.
- I will do everything not to deprive her of the right to inherit despite her gender.

Hermione Granger felt calmer. After all, she had someone she trusted enough to reveal her secrets to him. Her biological father found out about her existence. All she had to do was finally talk to the two Gryffindors she considered her friends. Harry and Ron. The bond between them has been broken, not completely broken. So she hoped it could still be fixed.
- Harry! - She shouted as soon as the green-eyed boy appeared in her sight. She was glad to see the smile on his face. - Wait! I think the time has finally come for the conversation we put off so much.
The witch felt the gaze of both her friends on her. She was not ready for this conversation, but she knew that the longer she put it off, the worse it would be. In fact, she didn't discover it herself. Draco opened her eyes to this fact.
- We're going to the library. - she sighed, and without looking back she went straight to Mrs. Pince's sanctuary.

Regulus was walking with a heavy step towards the house. The first visit to the magical world in years was more difficult for him than he thought it would be. He grew used to it. After those fifteen years, he sometimes felt more of a Muggle than a wizard. His mother probably falls over in her grave. And Kreacher? He missed him despite the obvious quirks of this house elf.

Albus Dumbledore watched with satisfaction as his three favorite Gryffindors reconciled. Hermione Granger's place is next to Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley. He knew he would have to do a lot to keep this state alive. A girl should not be exposed to the influence of Slytherins. It wouldn't do her any good. He would have to talk to Molly. Maybe she can help him with that.
- Sometimes you have to manipulate reality when you act for the greater good. Whether they like it or not.

Again, a short section focused mainly on Regulus. Do you like the direction I'm going with this story? I haven't written here for a long time and I lost my notes on the further course of things, so there will be differences from what I planned at the beginning. Sorry if you are disappointed.
