Worry seeps into his voice like the way his blood had seeped onto James' hands. He thinks he can taste it in his mouth, now. But there is no blood, he's not bleeding, and yet the taste is there.

Henry Morgan would be a danger to himself if he weren't immortal. Abe knows this too well. That's why Abe doesn't even ask when he finds his father stuck in a compromising position while he's been trying to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for the gang.

So when James begins to distance himself from Henry and act strange, it surprises Henry that he cant figure out what is bothering him. When the truth comes out, Henry discovers that he missed one very key part of James' personality.

Detective Jo was indecisive. She didn't care to go with Isaac anymore and was already set to go see Henry instead. Not that she was sure what would happen, but as long as she was able to talk to him for at least a minute, things would be better. Then her conscious tells her to stop and walk right out the shop, but this didn't stop the doctor from demanding answers.

He almost loses her, which leads Henry to a realization that terifies him. Should he stay, should he go? What happenes when something even more unprobable happens? Jo Martinez/Henry Morgan

What if you gave all of yourself and it wasn't enough - what else do you have left to give. An attempt at an ongoing story

"She kept murmuring that you were dead, that she couldn't keep doing this if everyone she ever loves dies, and-" "Everyone she loves?" Henry echoes, then, voice somehow soft and sharp at the same time. He thinks it an impossibility of his curse, of himself, that he's not dared to dream Jo loves him as he loves her. Henry, Lucas, and conversations Jo doesn't overhear.

Jo and Henry are on a case when Jo smells an aphrodisiac even Henry told her not to because of course she doesn't believe any effects until... Read to find out ;). Rate M just in case but nothing really mature.. Mostly the language.

"So what d'you say, Mr. Jacobs?" Henry comes back to himself, then, blinking the stardust of it all out of his eyes. Maybe not all of it, though, because in the next moment, he moves to press a lingering kiss to Jo's neck, and for a single wisp of a second he almost forgets what it's all for.
