Hi, so here is another chapter and I hope that you enjoy this chapter and the next one whenever it is published.

Disclaimer-Nothing is mine just the baby that Prue and Andy deserved to have.

Please Read and Review and let me know what you think.

And please be aware that there are some TRIGGER WARNINGS for stalking (and on a side note there should be many, many more laws that prevent these things from happening)

Before And After

Chapter 15-Wishbones

Prue is haunted by a stalker that she tries to ignore as Andy tries to protect her and his baby. Motherhood comes crashing down upon Prue when she is in danger leading to some feelings coming to light and a moment shared. Some TRIGGER WARNINGS for stalking.

It was strange. In all the months that he had known about this life he had always thought that it would be a demon. Demons, ghosts, evil beings masquerading as the guy who delivered mineral water—those things as odd as they were, as out of this world as they were, had become what Andy had expected.

And in doing so he had forgotten about being a cop, he had forgotten about the very real, very human monsters that were out there in the world and the reality which was that sometimes they did not have agenda's when it came to who they were targeting.

Case in point when Prue called them one night having come home from the office late to tell them that she had blasted what she thought was a human shaped demon through the glass windows (Leo was going to have a fit at trying to fix them again) and that whoever it was had been through the house breaking all the windows.

Andy had called Daryl from the car.

Prue had not been happy.

"I mean seriously, it was a demon"

"With fingers? Well that narrows it down" Andy said watching as Piper swept up the broken glass. Prue had taken to wearing jumpers to hide her forming belly and the braless halter tops had gone. Instead she was sat on the couch watching her hands hovering over the bump that they all knew was forming underneath the thick wool. Andy could understand. Every five seconds he tended to look towards it just to make sure that Prue was still pregnant, that the baby was not harmed because her reflexes were so quick that whoever or whatever had been here had not gone near her or his baby.

Their baby.

Their baby with powers though they had seen none of that since when Prue had taken on the demon judge, and he had never really gotten a chance to see it in the first place.

"I does sound suss Prue" Piper said finally. "Demons don't usually have fingers"

Prue said nothing. It was clear though in every line in her body that she was standing firm in her convictions that the person who had broken in was a demon and not a human.

She didn't even seem to care that she didn't lock the front door. Andy shot Daryl a look and Daryl shot him a look. Andy shrugged. Daryl said nothing to that but Andy knew his ex-partner well and he offered to walk him to the car.

"Seriously? I know they have…powers…" he said this with a shudder and Andy had to fight back his grin because hooray for progress—two months ago Daryl wouldn't have been able to manage that.

"But do they not know?"

"No. I don't think they even knew when they were kids"

"Andy come on man, they are three young woman living alone most of the time. This is San Francisco for crying out loud! They can't go around leaving their doors unlocked at night and just hoping that whoever they blast through the windows doesn't die on impact"

"I know. I've tried talking to them about it. Piper get's it. I think Phoebe does but Prue…you've seen her. She's on a mission. She knows that a demon tried to take the Book of Shadows so that's her priority. Do you think it's human?"

"If this was any other house yes. This place…well…but look, glass on the floor, all mirrors shattered, windows opened and all the rest…all we need is some stuff missing and you and I both know what it looks like"

"Stalker."

"Yep" Daryl said grimly opening his door. "And it could very well be a human one. A human one that doesn't understand just what the hell is going on. And if it is…"

"Then tonight only aggravated whatever they want."

"And it will get worse. Always does when they think they might be about to get caught. How many of those cases did we see when the object of these people's affection turned out to be moving and it panicked them"

"Too many" Andy said finally and heavily. He could not deny any of the wisdom that Daryl was saying and if this was any other house on any other street things would be very different.

"Look" Daryl said heavily. "Just keep an eye out. Even if Prue doesn't want to recognise the signs you do. Let me know if anything from any of the sisters rooms are missing. You know what these guys like to take. And just…keep a list of the human's that they've pissed off. Ex's and previous employees, bosses and the like. God knows there must be a fair few of them."

Andy yawned. It was a long night. "Thanks for coming out man"

"Nah don't worry about it. Nice to be called out and not because of a…demon…or a dead body."

"Your getting better at saying the words now you know"

"I know" Daryl said looking pleased. "I think it was the almost being killed thing that did it. That reminds me, I have two weeks starting next week off. Were dropping the kids off at Shelia's folks and were going on a trip to Mexico. Call me for anything less than a human life or a human death and I will personally hunt you down and slaughter you"

Andy thought about what he would do if he got Prue alone on a white sandy beach without either one of her sisters or the demons and conceded the point.

"Fair enough. Have fun man"

"I'm going for the water and my wife in a bikini. You know how I hate sand"

"Oh I do. Bet the Bikini's are worth it though"

"Shut up that's my wife"

"I know. Believe me I need her when my baby is born, it wasn't until she told me about a registry that I realised I could do that."

"Use it wisely brother" Daryl said in his best Yoda impression. "Use it wisely."

They shook on it and that was it.

Until the next morning when Daryl came back because low and behold Prue was missing her grandmother's necklace and her favourite shirt that she only had one more week or so (as she snapped at him when she was ripping their room apart trying to look for it) and that was all the proof that he needed.

"Oh come on" Prue said when Daryl walked through the door. "I do not have a stalker, the Triad is trying to kill us remember"

"The Triad have no interest in your underwear" Andy snapped. Christ he hated it when she got like this. He loved Prue he did, he really did but sometimes she was so fucking stubborn it was enough to make him want to smack his head against the wall until it bled.

"Prue there are monsters in the world. Some are human" Piper said softly.

"And as I keep saying you are three young woman to the outside world living alone with a house that is like a walk-in clinic. Would it kill all three you to lock the door?"

"Look" she said sharply. "I know this is not a human stalker. This is a demon so will you please all leave me alone!"

And with that she stalked out of the door slamming it shut were it banged back open because naturally…there was no lock.

Andy groaned.

Again they were at the club when Prue dressed in a silver dress that showed of cleavage in the wonderful way that made Andy forget that they had had, what he thought was a fight.

"I know what I am doing" she said as Andy got her a lemonade. Next to her handbag was a crystal.

"I know you know what you doing" he said carefully over his beer. "But don't forget that there are human physco's in the world too"

Prue said nothing.

"What is that anyway?"

"This is a crystal. It's going to send me a warning when the demon that is after the book attempts to take it"

Andy sighed taking another gulp of beer and letting it wash down his throat.

"I don't know how to do this with you" he said finally. "We're having a baby, we should be more…I don't know but I don't think we should be like this"

Prue stared at him for a second. She opened her mouth but suddenly without warning the crystal glowed.

Typical.

And as it happened it was not a demon she almost killed.

It was the fucking district attorney.

Phoebe was pissed. Andy was pissed. Everyone was pissed.

And someone had dropped off rotting flowers at the door with her name on it.

"I don't get it" she said after her stomach had given a violent roll when she had seen the maggots eating the petals.

"I really don't get it. I just…how have I pissed someone off that badly?"

"It doesn't take much" Andy said. "It really doesn't Prue. Look let me call Daryl and we can get some fingerprints off this"

Prue scrubbed a hand over her face and felt some of her glitter eyeshadow rub away.

"I suppose I have to go and make things up with Phoebe" she muttered.

"Well you did nearly elocute a government official who had a crush on your sister and that the feelings were mutual so yeah I would think so"

Prue sighed.

"Please don't tell me I have to go and apologise to him as well?"

"You did try and kill him."

"I just…Andy do you not feel it? There's something about him and I just…" she trailed off shaking her head and Andy paused.

"Prue…you've never like any of Phoebe's boyfriends…and look…" he said in a response to the look that he had been given

"—You never did like any of them. And I get it she does tend to pick—"

"Disasters"

"But…he did come to see her at two in the morning looking panicked because he had heard the house had been broken into"

"Panicked about the house or that his plan had been discovered"

Andy dropped a kiss onto her forehead.

"I love you, you know"

"I know…no argument?"

"Nah" he said rubbing his face over his eyes.

"I gave up trying to argue with you a long time ago.

Prue had the grace to giggle.

Of course there was a demon. There was always a demon but it was not until she dragged her tired body downstairs to pull out her pictures that she realised that there were things that missed the point. The glass, the open window…all of it.

Prue sighed rubbing a hand down her face as she turned over the photo and placed it in the light to see it develop. It was an easy shoot this time. Nothing to strenuous but the photos she had taken which had been nice and easy were not the ones that had been taken by her. She had done landscapes of the city not…not of herself.

For a second she paused staring and then she grabbed another, and another.

They were all of her.

Someone had been taking pictures of her.

It was all day, every day and she had missed it. So fixated on the idea of a demon hunting her she had not realised that someone was taking surveillance photos of her.

And demons in her experience did not use cameras.

She paused staring but then before she could even begin to process the fact that Andy was right, before she could even think about going upstairs to see him and tell him something hard and heavy crashed into her from behind and she barely had a second to deal with the singing in her eyes before all went black and she crumpled to the floor.

Andy had gone to meet Daryl. He had woken up to an empty bed but he had also gone upstairs to see an empty attic.

He never walked into that room alone. Always, with Prue or one of her sisters but he never went near that book alone if he had to because the idea of it still terrified him.

It was odd, demons he could handle (ish) but the Book of Shadows he couldn't.

But Prue had not gone and he assumed it was too the office. He sent her a text message and then he went to meet Daryl.

"So it's definitely a human stalker" he said as he met Daryl in the parking lot.

"It really is the strangest point of my day when I am relieved of that" Daryl said sagely ripping into his bear claw. He had brought the donuts and Andy had brought the coffee and he took a sugared one and bit into it.

"Did you run the prints?"

"Yeah. Do you know an Abby?"

"Abby…wait…she works at the club I think do you have a—thanks—"

Daryl had handed him the file and took his donut in the process. Andy missed having a desk at times like this. There was only so much that you could do in a car.

"Yeah she works at the club. Her fingerprints were on the box?"

"And on the mirrors. And before she moved to the city she had a warning out for stalking in a previous state"

"Shit" Andy said reaching for his phone.

A quick phone call to Piper and Phoebe had them racing to the club and they confirmed what the evidence was pointing at. Abby was Prue's stalker.

And none of them could locate Prue.

"Andy, if she saw the gift being rejected last night…"

"It could have been the trigger. Yeah I know"

There was a pause.

"What do you want to do Andy? Club, office, house?"

He thought. The last definite sighting he had of his partner and child they had both been at the house and Prue was always saying she trusted her instincts as a witch. Now it was time to trust his as a cop. As a father.

"House" he said and Daryl threw the donuts into the back of the seat and put the car into reverse without another word being spoken.

She couldn't see.

She couldn't see. Her magic came from her eyes and she couldn't see.

And even using her hands there was never a great chance that she was going to get the wrong person or the wrong thing. She had to regroup.

Prue knew all of this but she couldn't stop the panic from setting in.

She was vulnerable for the first time since becoming a witch and she had no idea what to do now. Abby was somewhere stalking the house in her shirt with a gun.

She darted out from the kitchen and she heard a bullet whiz past her. She was sure that it was coming for her but she felt a shiver of blue reach out and Abby scream.

"Thanks baby" she muttered as she reached the safety of the hall closet.

But that didn't mean she was safe.

"Ok" she whispered. "Think you can do it again?"

She used her astral powers to get into the hallway and then before she could move there was another blast of blue fire and then a bang as the door kicked open and several bangs.

"Prue?"

That was Andy. Andy was safe. Andy was home.

She felt hands grip her waist and she collapsed into his arms. Footsteps crashed into the kitchen. Daryl she was sure of it and then the high heeled shoes that had to be Piper's boots and whatever Phoebe was wearing.

"I'm fine" she said wrapping her arms around him. "The baby protected me."

"Yeah I saw" Andy said in her ear. "He was keeping his Momma safe."

Prue let out a little laugh that was more a sob but if Andy noticed (and he noticed) he said nothing.

Two nights later they were in bed together.

"I lost my Mom" she said. She was pressed up against Andy's side. Her eyes still stung but she could see out of them. Daryl had taken care of Abby, Piper had a new bartender who was sane. Everyone was happy.

Except.

"I know you did" Andy murmured.

"It's just…after that I never thought I could be a mom. And then when I learnt mom died from a demon attack—that she was trying to protect us from a demon I just thought if I could kill one more, I could just…"

"Keep him safe"

"Yeah. Sounds stupid I know but—"

"It's not stupid"

Prue smiled into Andy's shoulder.

"I just don't want him to every have to worry about waking up one morning and were both gone like Mom—" she trailed off blinking rapidly. Damn hormones.

Andy pushed himself up onto his elbow and he smiled.

"This is not that. This is not…we both know the risks, and if the worst was to happen…come on Prue it's not like your sisters will let him starve"

Prue snorted down her laughter and her emotion. Andy smiled again.

"We have to live our lives in the moment otherwise…otherwise what's the point"

Prue said nothing.

But Andy…Andy had, had an idea.

And that was what led them to this right here. Right now.

The doctor smeared the gel on her belly with a small smile. Andy was gripping her hand and it was almost like out of one of those scenes you saw on TV except hearing a strong healthy heartbeat and seeing what looked like a small peanut on the screen was so much better than seeing blue fire.

"And there's your baby" the nurse said with a grin.

"Yeah" Prue said suddenly aware that her eyes were overbright. Andy's were too.

"Yeah there's our baby"

The heartbeat was thumping away happily, alive, whole, happy.

Prue caught Andy's eye and he kissed her.

She too was here, alive, whole, happy.

And whatever happened she knew they would always have this moment, as cheesy as it was, the first one where she realised they were a family.

And she knew that they would be alright.

Call it gut instinct.

After all, it had never let her down before.

And there you go, I hope you enjoy and I will do my best to bring you the next chapter sooner rather than later.

Next Chapter-As Prue and Andy try to enjoy pregnancy, a demon attempts to rip the sisters apart and Cole's duel role is revealed. The aftermath sees them more divided than ever.
