Harrison's POV

Waking up early had been a habit since he was young. It was drilled into him by the Durselys. Thank Merlin that he didnt have to go back to them. Corbin had guardianship over him. It was binding both with the muggles and wizards.

In the informal dining room he found Corbin already awake. Curious he questioned, "Are you an early riser as well, sir?"

Corban smiled as he said, "Not usually this early. However we have a Wizengott meeting to attend at 11."

Harrison sat at the table curiosity sparking in his green eyes, "What can I expect from the meeting?"

Corbin took a sip of his coffee before he replied, "I will apparate us there this time and next time you can use the portkey within the rings. Since you are underage you cannot apparate yourself yet. Today the meeting will be having you sworn in and a review over last quarter. There shouldn't be any bills to go over however."

Harrison nodded accepting the words. Then he asked, "How often does the Wizengott meet? What if there is an emergency how is everyone notified? If you are going to be late for any reason do they have to wait?"

Corbin answered easily not looking at all annoyed by his questions, "We meet once a month at 11 am. Regular meetings will not start until everyone is present. However if there is an emergency session depending on what it's for we could start if there is only one or two missing. Emergency meetings when called cause our rings to burn. It's a different intensity depending on the severity of the reason."

Harrison took note of this. Many of his questions would be answered once he was able to start his books. If things stayed the way they were then he would start them after the meeting.

The two quietly had breakfast and Corbin helped him with the robes. It was considered bad form for him to where his school robes to a Wizengott meeting. Most wouldnt take him seriously should he decide to vote on something.

The robes that were chosen were black with the crests of both Potter and Black on them. Apparently Corbin had them made at one point while he was gone. It was slightly unnerving to find that they fit perfectly.

Actually there was an entire wardrobe of well fitting clothes in all styles. At his questioning look Corbin stated that no ward of his would be caught wearing clothes four times too big. It wasnt that the man disapproved of muggle clothes. Only how they were too big on him.

The biggest difference between the two was that Harrison also wore his ward stone. Silver in color it showed his rank as an apprentice. As this was an official meeting he needed to wear it. A show of who he was training under and keep anyone from trying to stake a claim.

At 10:30 they made their way to the edge of the wards and apparated. They arrived in a great hall with dozens of wizards milling about. Some greeted Corbin with a wave. Others glanced at him curiously but didnt stop them as they made their way to the courtroom. Harrison had to have his wand checked at a security gate as he was not an official member yet.

The courtroom they went to was huge. Their entrance led to a series of benches that were on a circular platform encircled a chair. Many of the benches already had Lords and Ladies sitting at them.

Even to an outside observer one could see how the Lords and Ladies were broken into section. If he had to guess it was based on which way their beliefs aligned. Malfoy, Lestrange, and a few others sat together. It was where Corbin directed him to.

Despite what some might think he wasnt stupid or naive. He knew exactly what side Corbin was on. He also knew about the tattoo that lay on the man's left forearm. It was only because of Tarloc the young teenager was here. His master trusted Corbin and Harrison would as well. Until it was proven to be a bad idea.

Harrison sat by the older man's side who sat just left of the Lestrange Lord. The two struck up a quiet conversation while his focus was on those around him. Many of the Lords on the Light side of the room were frowning at him. Those on the Neutral side seemed more contemplative. They wanted to see what he was going to do.

Then Dumbledore entered. His reaction to Harrison's presence was by far the most amusing. The old man froze his jaw hanging open. His usual twinkle left the moment he saw where Harrison was sitting.

As cunning as the old man was he couldnt have predicted this. Good thing too. If he knew what Harrison had been up to the last year he might not have succeeded in getting to his current position. While he didnt plan on getting beaten within an inch of his life this was still the better alternative.

As their eyes met however a shiver ran through the boy. He knew the old man couldnt perform magic here. No one could it was against the laws set. Should someone try the security wizards would be alerted. Only aurors and ward masters could legally cast spells in the courtrooms.

Corbin whispered, "What is it?"

"I'm not sure," he whispered back. If Dumbledore wanted to try something however it would be after the meeting. For now they were relatively safe.
