Harrison sat in his usual chair in front of Corbin. When they had lessons this was where they did them. It was also where the man spent most of his time when he had work to do.

The colors of the room were neutral and calming. Even with a demon inhabiting his body Harrison always felt calmer in here. Everything from the colors to the decor had him calmer. Even knowing who he had seen just an hour prior.

Corbin for his part had a thoughtful look in his blue eyes. Harrison had explained the war between Organization and Foundation. How he stood alongside the Foundation and what they stood for. Interest had flared in Corbin's eyes in learning about another form of magic. He would have to show the man a few things. Maybe even test him.

The explanation of the Professor and his dangers had brought about anger. More than once the man had tried to kill Harrison. If the boy was slower even by a second he would have died. Or ended up within the man's control.

It was disconcerting to see the man there. He had to be meeting someone. Or waiting on them. Harrison felt a shiver run down his spine. If he had been waiting on someone it had to partially be for him. How he had known Harrison would be there he didn't know.

After a moment Corbin said, "This man likely has friends in high places. I'll ask around with my... allies and then warn them off."

There was an uncertain glance given to his young ward. If it had been a few months before he would blown up. To even mention those who were dark inclined would have brought his temper to flare. Now he was more neutral in things.

Corbin was taking the time to teach him about politics. About gaining allies amongst the Lords. At one time the Potters had been a formidable force within the Wizengott. That had all changed when James Potter took the mantle. Apparently, his father had wanted nothing to do with the politics. Thus he had given proxy over to a trusted family friend. Albus Dumbledore.

Albus Dumbledore who should have started his training when he was seven. Or at the very least when he was eleven so that he was prepared. As it stood now he was having to play catch up. It was lucky that he had a good teacher in Corbin.

Harrison dipped his chin in acquiescing as he said, "Whatever you think is best in that aspect Corbin. I... I don't trust them but I do trust you."

A hand reached out slowly so that he could see every movement and could pull away if he wanted. It ruffled his already disarrayed hair gently. Ever so slight he leaned into the touch.

Corbin said as he retracted his hand, "I know this is a little soon since we have met to be discussing this but it has to be done. As children, all purebloods are betrothed to a possible compatible match. This isn't binding in the sense that marriage contracts are. Just because you are betrothed doesn't mean you will marry them. It just means you are considering."

Harrison's nose wrinkles at the thought. Corbin's face though was open and honest. He could tell the man was giving him the truth. A part of him wondered who the matches were for his classmates. So many of them slept around it was hard to believe that they had any serious contracts.

Corbin continued, "I'd like to know your preferences so I can begin searching for potential matches. As you're a legitimized pureblood you have to marry a pureblood otherwise the Potters will no longer have a seat on the Wizemgott. They will no longer be considered a pureblood family."

Harrison's face was now aflame as he said stumbling over his words, "Well... I," he paused to gather himself for a moment then pushed on, "I prefer those older than me. Everyone my age or younger seems to be too childish. Any betrothals with them would end in disaster I'm sure of it."

Corbin hummed but said nothing allowing him to continue and he did but in a lower tone closer to a whisper, "Though, I actually. Males only."

He had stumbled again but he finally bit it out. Harrison liked guys. This was only something he had figured out recently. It wasn't accepted in the muggle world but he didn't know about the Wizarding World. So he waited unsure of his guardian's reaction.

For a moment Corbin simply blinked at him dumbly. Then a small smile crossed his face as he stated simply, "You're worried about my reaction. Don't worry Harrison. Same-sex relationships are mostly accepted in the Wizarding World. We have potions and rituals that can allow for pregnancies. There are even a select few who are carriers and can naturally carry a child. Though that is straining on the body."

Relief flooded him. Thank Merlin, he wasn't going to be orastized because he liked men.

"I'll start making a list," said Corbin, "You of course will have the final choice on who you will enter a contract with. If you think of anything else let me know."

"I will."

Harrison made as if he was going to stand only to pause. A deep frown crossed his face.

Then he said, "You know there is a chance I'll be called back to the Foundation. Right? Things are heating up from what I read in the reports. As one of the strongest independent seekers I could be called to aid a team."

Corbin paused thought for a moment before he said, "I know. But you should know that I don't want you to go. Neither would Lord Tarloc. He wants you to be safe and away from war."

Away from war huh? Would he ever truly be free of it? War had been trying to control him from the moment that he joined the Wizarding World. It was why he had apprenticed to a Ward Master. When he got his Mastery he would have to swear an oath of neutrality.
