Return of the Elementals Pt 2

At Barry's house in Gateway Cavern, Eliza sat in her chair thinking about Eli, Harley and the gang. "I hope they're okay. After what happened at the hideout with the slugs turning into ghouls, I hope they'll be able to handle whatever's causing this." She said with concern as Arianna came in with a mug of water. "Everything will be okay, Eliza. I'm sure your sons and their gang will find out what's causing this ghoul outbreak and stop it from spreading any further." Arianna said with comfort. Eliza was eased by her words. But she still worried about them since she's not with them due to her pregnancy.

Meanwhile, back at the island at Undertow Cavern, as Eli and Harley pulled themselves up, Blakk stood over them and aimed his gattler at them. They closed their eyes and awaited their fate. "No! As tempting as it is to finish this now, the Goons and I have bigger plans for you." Blakk said as he picked up the brothers and tossed them aside before turning to leave. "As we take the Elementals one by one, I want you to see that everything you love will turn to ash before your eyes! And you'll look back and wish that it all ended here!" Blakk fired hundreds of ghouls at the cave ceiling, causing it to shake and crack. As Burpy and Hestia rejoined them, Eli and Harley recovered and ran for the entrance. Blakk cackled as the entrance began caving in. As they ran, Eli and Harley avoided the falling rubble. But it was too late, the cave entranced had been blocked, making everything go dark. Burpy and Hestia lit their fires as the Shane brothers looked on with glares. "Blakk! How does he know about the Elementals?" Eli asked. "I don't know. But we need to find a way out of this cave." Harley said.

Meanwhile, the Dark Slinger and the Darkbane continued with their assault on the Shane Gang. 2 Darkbane slung a Grimmstone and a Hop Jack. "Eli and Harley have been gone too long! I don't like it!" Trixie exclaimed as she and Dana rolled over to better cover and slung their slugs as Pronto rolled over to join them. "Why is there smoke coming from the island?" Dana asked when she noticed the smoke coming from the island. "I am guessing that cave-in has something to do with it." Pronto said, looking through his binoculars. "Oh no! Eli and Harley are trapped inside!" Joshwa exclaimed as he and the others went over. "We gotta get over there and help them." Kord said. "Once we deal with that!" Junjie said, seeing someone coming ashore. It was Blakk! "Dr. BLAKK?!" Kord exclaimed in shock "No! It can't be!" Aerona exclaimed in disbelief. "And he appears to have been working out." Pronto said. "Wait. Blakk and the Goons?! Together?!" Trixie asked in disbelief.

"You have the Elemental?" The Goon asked. Blakk handed the barrel to the Dark Slinger. "Excellent. And the Shanes?" The Goon asked. "Brother, I can sense they're still alive!" The She-Goon exclaimed. "Why didn't you finish them?!" The Goon asked. "After all they've done to me, I want them to suffer! Ending them now would be too merciful." Blakk said. "You are a fool! You should've ended them while you had the chance!" The Goon exclaimed. "Now is not the time for this, brother. We must make for the next Elemental immediately!" The She-Goon exclaimed. The villains took off for the location of the next Elemental. "They're splitting!" Kord called. "Good. Now we can focus on helping out Eli and Harley." Joshwa said. "How do we do that?" Kala asked. "I have just the plan." Kord said. "Now, Junjie-" But the gang saw that Junjie was gone. As were Yu Jie and the Fuurins. "Uh, Junjie?" "Where'd they go?" Vance asked.

As Blakk, the Goons, the Dark Slinger and the Darkbane continued running, Junjie, Yu Jie and the Fuurins caught up to them. Daichi, Itsuki and Naoki slung their Arachnet slugs as they latched onto the Dark Slinger and the Goons as they pulled them back by their webs. The 3 recovered and leapt back up to face the Eastern slingers. "We cannot allow you to leave here with that slug." Yu Jie said. "Actually, we cannot allow you to leave period." Junjie said. The Goons glared at them scarily. The 3 Arachnets hid in fear behind their slingers' feet as Yu Jie stepped forward. "Listen to me. We are not your enemies. The Goons control your mind as they once controlled ours. Fight it!" She said, trying to get through to the Dark Slinger's conscience. "He cannot hear you, Eastern Champion. But we can." The She-Goon said. "We used to think we'd never a host as good as you 2. But this one is actually better." The Goon said. "Yes. After all, what kind of slingers can't even save their home cavern?" The She-Goon asked mockingly. Junjie glared vengefully at the Goons. The Dark Slinger slung several ghouls at the Eastern slingers. But as they dodged the ghouls, Junjie slung his Geoshard, Jade, creating a crystal wall in front of the Goons and the Dark Slinger. But when he moved in to attack, the Goons and the Dark Slinger had already gotten away. Junjie sneered and prepared to go after them. "Junjie, no!" Yu Jie shouted, grabbing her brother's arm and stopping him from following. "No! We can't let them get away!" Junjie exclaimed. "Let them go! We have to go back for Eli and Harley!" Yu Jie exclaimed. Junjie glared as he watched his enemies run. Yu Jie, the Fuurins, Joo-Joo and Towa were worried about Junjie.

Meanwhile, the gang were trying to think of a way to help Eli and Harley. "So, uh, any ideas on how to get to Eli and Harley?" Kord asked. "Wait. Anyone else hear that?" Mario asked, hearing a digging noise. Just then, Digger and Drill popped out of a tunnel in front of them, and then Eli and Harley climbed out. "Eli! Harley!" Trixie exclaimed. "Blakk is back! Somehow!" Eli exclaimed. "Yeah! He's got the Water Elemental! And he's going after the rest of them!" Harley exclaimed. "We know. We saw him. He's working with the Goons." Trixie said. "Who has escaped with the 2 Elementals!" Yu Jie called as she, Junjie and the Fuurins came back. She helped the Shane brothers to their feet. "Then we have to get to the next one first." Eli said as Harley brought out Glyph. Mo appeared on Eli's shoulder, making flustering looks at Glyph. "Ready to open that map, Glyph?" Eli asked. Glyph chittered.

"Uh, Pronto volunteers himself to sling Glyph. No need to get slugged if you can avoid it, huh?" Pronto said as Harley handed him Glyph. "Uh, Junjie? What happened back there, bro?" Kord asked. "Yeah, you do realize that you, your sister and your friends bailed and left Eli and Harley trapped in there, right?" Deagan said. "It wasn't our idea." Satoshi said. "The Goons were escaping with the 2 Elementals. I trusted that Eli and Harley could handle themselves. Which they did." Junjie said. "That's not an excuse. Even if they did escape, we don't abandon our friends." Dana said. "We understand." Yu Jie said as she and the Fuurins nodded. Junjie was confused by his sister's own words. First when the Goons escaped and now when they were being scolded. 'What is going on with her?' He thought.

"We're ready. Let's do this." Eli said as he and Harley got ready to be slugged. Pronto took aim and prepared to fire Glyph. "Wait! What if this is how Blakk is beating us?" Trixie asked. "What do you mean, Trixie?" Lash asked. "Eli said so himself. The Goon can get in his head. What if he's stealing the Elemental locations from Eli?" Trixie asked. "I do not think so." Junjie said. "Yes. Think about it. The Goons had already captured the Air Elemental before the Shadow Clan had told us about the 12." Yu Jie said. "Yu's right, babe. Besides, it doesn't work that way. It's more like a scar. A reminder of what they did to us." Eli said. "He's right. I felt scarred after the She-Goon took over my mind." Aerona said. Yu Jie nodded in agreement.

"Do it." Eli said. "Better you than me." Pronto said. "I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that." Harley said as Pronto slung Glyph, hitting both him and Eli, and opening Will's message and the map. "Eli, Harley, if you're listening to this, it's time to unlock the next of the 12." Will said. "So, Blakk and the Goons have Air and Water." Eli said. "So, that leaves Earth, Fire, Energy, Electric, Ice, Plant, Psychic and Toxic." Harley said. "Along with Aether and Nether." Eli said. "Locate Earth Elemental." They said simultaneously. "Done. Which were the only teammates of mine I've ever brought back to the Surface to meet you and your mother?" Will questioned. Eli and Harley started to think about that. "What about your dad's tracker? Tom Por?" Trixie asked. "I don't think so. Dad would've told us if Will brought him to the Surface." Dana said. Deagan nodded in agreement. "It wouldn't be our father. He's from the Surface too." Paulina said. "Can't be my twin brother, Pinto." Pronto said. "We don't know. Dad never brought anyone home." Eli said. But then he and Harley looked at Burpy as he hopped up to his shoulder. "Unless. It's your slugs, right? You always told us they were a slinger's teammates as much as anyone." Eli guessed. Harley and Burpy nodded. "Well done." Will said, opening the Earth Elemental's location. "Hey, that's Quartermain Cavern." Kord said, recognizing the location. "I've been there once. Slug Run took a big leg through that place a couple years ago." Vance said. "Well, then that makes this simple. I know quite a few shortcuts that can get us there quickly." Pronto said. "Leave it to Pronto to come out with the save." Joshwa said. "Then what are we still standing around here for? Let's go!" Trixie called.

"Just a sec, guys." Eli said, stopping everyone. "We want to check something." Harley said. "Trixie mentioned Tom Por, Dana and Deagan's late father. We know you and he had your differences over the years, especially during the Shane Treasure debacle." Eli said. Dana and Deagan still felt guilty from that day. "But he was still a good teammate like Cilan and Viggo. How did you 2 keep it together when you didn't always get along?" Harley asked. "I'm not your father, boys. I'm a heuristic recording based on a limited number of pre-programmed responses." Will said. "I keep telling them that, Mr. Shane, but they just won't listen to me. You know what they're like, right." Pronto said. "Hey, it was worth a shot." Harley said in defense. "All I can tell you both is…trust your instincts. You'll figure it out, sons. I promise." Will said before he disappeared. "To Quartermain then." Junjie said. Everyone turned and walked for their mechas.

Once they arrived, they saw that Quartermain Cavern looked as bad as Undertow Cavern did. "Well, so much for simple." Trixie said. "By ghouling 2 of the Elementals, Blakk and the Goons have ghouled almost half of the slugs in Slugterra." Eli said. "It's practically a miracle that we haven't seen any more damage than we already have." Harley said. "Yeah. I just hope the other caverns are doing better than this place." Kord said. Vance and Pronto looked down at the mud river flowing through the cave. "Okay. I know for sure that this mud river wasn't here when I rode through here last time." Vance said. "So, what do we do?" Pronto asked. "Well, I don't think I wanna be swimming through that." Fareeda said. "Me neither." Watts agreed. "Well, if we can't swim in it, what do we do?" Yu Jie asked.

Then Eli got an idea. "Why don't we just build a boat?" He asked. The gang was confused with that idea. "A boat? But there's nothing to build one with." Trixie said. "Oh, yes, there is." Eli said. He held out his hand as it glowed blue. And just then, crystals started to form in the mud, shaping into a large boat. The gang was amazed by this. "All aboard." Eli said as he stepped onto the boat. "Wait. That's considered a plan? You create a boat out of crystals out of nowhere and board it to sail down a river of mud?" Junjie asked. "Uh, yeah, it does." Eli said as the gang boarded the boat one by one. Yu Jie and the Fuurins followed after. Junjie started to think as he boarded the boat, thinking that Eli was probably the Aether Elemental.

With everyone on board, Eli started to sail the boat down the muddy river. Most of the Shane Gang cheered as the boat went down the muddy rapids. "I think this is GREAT!" Kord cheered. "Eli, this is the best idea you've ever had!" Dana cheered. "Yes. And it even keeps the mud off my luxurious molenoid coat." Pronto said. Just then, a ball of mud hit Pronto. Harley chuckled. "Oh, I will get you back for that, Harley." Pronto grumbled. Yu Jie giggled at Harley's practical joke. Harley blushed at this. As they continued down the river, the boat was about to come into contact with a series of jagged rocks. "Watch out!" Kord called. But the boat started knocking against the rocks. Luckily, the boat's crystal body was hard to crack.

Just then, Junjie spotted something on a stalactite. "The Earth Elemental!" He called. And there he was, the Earth Elemental. He looked down at them as they came towards him. "We did it!" Eli cheered. "We got here before Blakk and the Goons!" Harley cheered. "Nice!" Trixie cheered. "But how do we get him down to us?" Rune asked. Junjie readied his right wrist blaster and slung Shang. "Easy now. I've got you, little lord." He said, preparing to use his Slug Fu. Then Shang flew past the Earth Elemental. "He missed!" Kord exclaimed. "I'm on it!" Trixie called. "No, wait!" Yu Jie shouted. But too late. Trixie slung Roller just as Junjie used his Slug Fu to pull Shang back around. The 2 slugs were about to collide into the Earth Elemental in slow motion. But then the Earth Elemental jumped out of the way as the 2 slugs collided. Shang then bashed into Junjie, knocking him overboard. "Jun!" Yu Jie cried. Trixie caught the Earth Elemental as it fell towards her. "I got you, little guy." She said. But then she saw something up ahead. "Oh no! Look out!" She cried. The gang saw that they were heading for a dead end. "Brace for IMPACT!" Kord shouted.

"Hang on, guys!" Eli called as he drew his blaster, activated the accelerator and slung Rocky. Rocky went Megamorph and blew through the wall. The gang fell out of the boat as they went over. As they resurfaced, Trixie saw that the Earth Elemental was thrown out of her grip during the fall. "Eli!" She called. The Earth Elemental was trapped on a rock and the mud was rising fast. Eli dove into the mud and rescued the Earth Elemental before he sunk in the mud. As he placed the Elemental on his shoulder, he turned his attention to the mud falls flowing into the cave. "We need to seal that up!" He called as he slung Spinner. The rest of the gang slung their Arachnets to join her, and together, they combined their webs to seal up the hole and block the mud flow.

Afterwards, the gang all headed over to shore. "Well, that wasn't easy. But at least we got the Earth Elemental." Eli said. "We would've had him sooner if your slug hadn't knocked mine off course!" Junjie exclaimed accusingly. "Off course?! Your slug missed the Elemental!" Trixie shouted. "I was bringing it around so we could push the Elemental towards me! I was in complete control of my slug!" Junjie exclaimed. "Then you probably should've said so before slinging your slug!" Trixie exclaimed. Junjie just humphed and walked away. Aerona, Yu Jie and the Fuurins watched him with concern. "What'd I say?" Trixie asked. "It is not your fault, Trixie. Jun's always explained himself before executing his plans. But you must understand that it's an important part in our training." Yu Jie said. "You have to admit, Trix, that Slug Fu stuff is kinda cool." Kord said. "Thank you, friend Kord." Yu Jie said, fist-bumping her troll friend.

"Uh, not to be a bummer, but I don't think those webs are going to hold much longer!" Pronto exclaimed with worry. Everyone looked up to see that he was right. The webs were starting to give as mud began spouting out. "Oh no! What do we do?!" Barry exclaimed in panic. "I don't know what we got that can get us through a million tons of mud!" Kord exclaimed. "Well, we must have something!" Dana exclaimed. Just then, the Earth Elemental chittered. "The Earth Elemental! Looks like he has an idea that can get us out." Eli said. "That is unadvisable. It would be more prudent not to use the new slug until you've had time to properly train it." Junjie protested. "Yeah, that's not really the way we do things. We trust the slugs." Eli said. "Besides, it's not like we got any choice!" He loaded the Earth Elemental and slung him. As he transformed, he spewed a blast of mud at the web, hardening the mud spouts and the entire cavern. "Uh, guys?" Eli said as the hardening reached for him and the gang and hardened the mud coating them. "Oh, Floppers." They were stuck like statues. But then the Earth Elemental came around, shattered the hardened mud and set the gang free. They sighed in relief before cheering. "That was awesome. Thanks." Eli said as he knelt down and held out his hand for the Earth Elemental. The slug hopped into his hand and chittered. "How about we call you…Quake?" Eli asked. The Earth Elemental chittered in agreement and excitement. "Great. Now let's get out of here. Blakk and the Goons are probably on their way to the next Elemental." Eli said as he reloaded Quake and slung him. The gang each slung their loaded slugs.

Meanwhile, Blakk and the Goons had attacked Quiet Lawn Cavern, looking for the next Elemental. The entire town was in a panic as Blakk smashed through the homes and the Dark Slinger slung ghouls everywhere, scaring off the people. "I'm telling you it's not here!" Blakk snarled, not being able to find the Elemental. "And that is our fault?!" The Goon asked insulted. "Yes! We should have gone after the Earth Elemental as I suggested!" Blakk exclaimed. "What you think we should listen to a monster such as yourself?!" The She-Goon asked. "You both sound as if you don't trust me!" Blakk exclaimed. "SHOULD WE?!" The Goons asked in anger. "OF COURSE NOT!" Blakk yelled. "ALRIGHT! KNOCK IT OFF!" Red Hook shouted, getting their attention. "I don't know what's worse. You 3 bickering like married molenoids or the fact that you're TEARING OUR TOWN APART!" He shouted. Shorty and Goggles had arrived to help since they considered Quiet Lawn their home, aiming their blasters at the 4 villains. "Red Hook! You daft twit!" Blakk exclaimed. Red Hook actually got hurt from that word. "Nobody calls me daft!" He shouted, firing his hook at the villains. But Blakk caught it. "Uh oh." Red Hook said in shock. Shorty and Goggles prepared to fire their slugs, but the Dark Slinger slung a Hop Jack, knocking them both out. Blakk then pulled Red Hook towards him. "What's up with you, Blakk? You got bad allergies or something? You're all bloated. Puffy." Red Hook said, mockingly. "The Energy Elemental! Where is it?!" Blakk demanded. "That's just a stupid legend! Like the Burning World or odorless plumbing!" Red Hook exclaimed. But Blakk wouldn't have that. He grabbed Red Hook and lifted him up. "Tell me where it is!" He demanded. "Huh. What do I look like? A mind reader?" Red Hook asked. "No. But we are." The Goon said. "Let's see where the Energy Elemental is hiding." The She-Goon said as she and her brother used their powers to look inside Red Hook's mind. "Hey, hey! Quit messing with my noodle box, you snoops!" Red Hook exclaimed. "He's speaking the truth." The She-Goon said. "Yes. The only thing that's going on in that daft brain is a recipe for hot sauce and plans to watch a…terrible movie." The Goon said. Red Hook gasped at that. "Terrible?! Max Jackson's 2000 Furious Punches is the best flopping movie ever made! What movie do you like? Kisses from a Hoverbug?" He asked, making mocking kissing noises.

"We're wasting time here! We must hurry to the next Elemental and hope that we figure out where this Energy slug is enroute!" The Goon exclaimed. "We're running in circles! What if you're wrong about the next one too?! What if the Shane Gang finds the Energy Elemental before we do?!" Blakk asked. "If we can't find it, they won't either." The Goon assured. "Yes. Their intel can't possibly be as good as ours." The She-Goon said. "And once we have the others, and we will, the Energy Elemental will be easy to find." The Goon said. "Fine! We'll play it your way, slugs. For now." Blakk groaned. "But for you, we get to play my way." Red Hook gulped at that.

Meanwhile, while the gang looked over the Glyph's map, inside Eli's backpack, Mo handed Glyph a little bouquet of flowers. Glyph humbly took them, but then she ate them. Mo was shocked at first, but then he became flustered again. And then, the rest of Eli's remaining slugs gathered and greeted Quake. But as Quake came face-to-face with Banger, they began to stare at each other for a while. Joules, Rammer and Spinner looked back and forth between them with concern. But then Banger welcomed Quake with a big hug. Quake was taken aback by this, but then he returned it welcomingly.

Meanwhile, Kord, Trixie, Aerona and Yu Jie talked while Eli, Junjie and the others looked over the map to figure out where to go next. "I'm just saying, because of Junjie, we were that close to losing Quake." Kord said as he was trying to fix up a scanner mod on his blaster. "It's not his fault or anything. He's just too…used to being a solo slinger." Trixie said. "I don't think that's the case. There's something going on with Junjie." Aerona said. "I agree with friend Aerona. He's never acted this way until we found out about the 12." Yu Jie said. "Okay, gang. We have the coordinates. We're heading for Quiet Lawn Cavern." Eli said. "The map said that the Energy Elemental is hidden there." Harley said. "Good. Maybe Red Hook can help me with this thing." Kord said. "Well, what is that?" Eli asked. "Well, I noticed that Quake gives off a unique energy signature. So, I'm thinking if the others have similar properties, I might be able to calibrate our blasters to pick up on it." Kord explained. "Maybe." He held up the blaster to Eli's backpack. Burpy and Mo scurried out of the way. "Easy guys. I'm just scanning." Kord assured. But as he scanned the backpack, the strangest thing was that he wasn't just picking up Quake's energy signature, but 3 others. "Yeah, see? Something's wrong. I keep reading 4 Elementals in Eli's backpack." He said with confusion. "4? But that can't be right." Fareeda said. "Yeah. How can you pick up 4 Elementals on your scanner when we only have 1?" Rune asked. "I would try reversing the polarity if I were you." Junjie said. "Yeah, I tried that. I don't know. Probably the batteries. I'll charge it as we ride." Kord said. "Alright. We're moving out!" Eli called as he revved up Lucky. And then the gang rode off to Quiet Lawn Cavern.

Once they got to Quiet Lawn Cavern, the entire town was covered in a dark red sandstorm. "Gah! How do they keep beating us to the punch?!" Kord asked with a grunt. "They must've trashed the cavern to find the Energy Elemental! We're too late." Eli sulked. "Perhaps not. None of our slugs that are related to the Energy Elemental have been ghouled." Junjie said. "He's right. Goldie and the other Midas slugs are of relation to the Energy Elemental, and they're still the same." Aerona said. "Are your batteries recharged, friend Kord?" Yu Jie asked. Kord looked at his scanner. It was still picking up 4 signatures. "Ugh! 4 signatures. But why? We've only got Quake." He said. "That is a bit strange. Why 4 when we have 1?" Harley asked curiously. "We can worry about that later. There are people here who need help." Eli said as he dismounted Lucky. "I agree totally." Yu Jie agreed as she dismounted her mecha, Chang'e.

As they looked around, Yu Jie stepped on something, making a clank noise. "Huh?" She said as they looked down and saw that it was Red Hook's hook! They followed the wire until they came up to a very dreadful sight. "Red Hook!" Eli cried. Red Hook was trapped under a pile of rubble. Laura, Shorty and Goggles were right beside him, trying to free him. "Help! Please! Help him!" Laura cried.

Harley, Kord, Watts and Rune rushed over to help, but they couldn't get the big piece of rubble to move. "I think he's hurt bad, bro!" Kord exclaimed as they tried again to push the rubble off. But no avail. Red Hook started coughing. "Grandpa!" Laura cried. "Red Hook, what happened?!" Harley asked. "Blakk! Stormed in with the Darkbane, looking for an Energy Elemental! Trashed the place when he didn't find it! We got a real pressure cooker here!" Red Hook exclaimed in pain from being crushed. "Don't worry, Red Hook. We're gonna get you out of there." Eli said. "Hurry! Get this off of him!" He and Harley slung Spinner and Webs, attaching their webs to the rubble and wrapping the other ends around a stalactite. Trixie then slung Slicer, slicing off the stalactite with Throttlebite and making it a counterweight to lift the rubble off Red Hook. "Grandpa?" Laura asked tearfully as she, Eli and Harley looked over the poor old man. "Once again, it seems I owe the Shanes all that I have. But I'm afraid I won't have the chance to repay you." Red Hook said before he…lost consciousness. "No! Grandpa!" Laura cried as Barry held her back. "I think it is too late." Junjie said. "Not for Doc!" Eli said as Doc hopped out. "You can do this! I know you can." Doc nodded and hopped down next to Red Hook. He then started to glow, using his power to heal Red Hook. Suddenly, as Doc healed Red Hook, the dark red sandstorm cleared up for a second, making the gang confused.

After a while, Red Hook gasped in shock as he quickly stood up. The gang and the crowd cheered as Laura tearfully hugged her grandfather tightly. "Woo-hoo!" Trixie cheered. "Hooray for Pronto! Thank you! Am I right?" Pronto cheered boastfully. Harley just playfully kicked him away. "That is quite the slug." Junjie said with impression. "He's a healer. A Guardian one at that." Eli said. "No, Eli. We have seen healers before. Your Doc is something special." Yu Jie said. "Well, Doc's already a Guardian. How more special can he be?" Harley asked.

"WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA! Wait a minute!" Kord exclaimed as he pointed his scanner at Doc. "What's wrong, Kord?" Kala asked. "I thought this thing wasn't working cause it was reading 4 Elementals inside your pack! And look. One of the others it was ready…was Doc!" Kord explained. "So, what if…" "Doc is the Energy Elemental?!" Eli asked in surprise. "You mean, ever since we first came here, we had an Elemental with us…all along?!" Harley asked in shock. "This is where you got him. The Hooligang probably found him before you dueled Billy!" Trixie deduced. "I don't believe it!" Shorty exclaimed. "Me either! Billy had an Elemental! And he had no idea!" Goggles exclaimed. Burpy and Hestia gasped at this as Doc and Quake hopped down and gave a high-five.

"But wait. Since Doc's an Elemental, where were the other 2 signatures coming from?" Mario asked. Kord started to think as he pointed his scanner at Eli and Harley. "No way! The other 2 Elemental signatures…they're coming from Eli and Harley! But why?" He asked. "Maybe it is because…Eli and Harley are Elementals themselves." Junjie revealed. Everyone was surprised to hear that. Even Eli and Harley were surprised to hear this. "Yeah. Will's message did say that the Aether and Nether Elementals were humans. And I remember an old legend about 2 humans who wielded the Aether and Nether elements, representing humanity and unity to all of Slugterra." Rune explained. Eli and Harley looked at each other to put all this to mind. 'Could we have been chosen to be the new Aether and Nether Elementals to unite all of Slugterra?' They both thought.

"Uh, not to rush things. But I am sure that the cavern will be safe in Red Hook's capable hands. Uh, hand. Uh, I mean hook! But there are still 6 Elementals we have not accounted for." Pronto said, interrupting the Shane brothers' thoughts. "Right. Trixie, slug us with Glyph to open the map." Eli said, tossing his fiancé Glyph's barrel. Trixie loaded Glyph into her blaster and slung her at Eli and Harley, opening Will's map. "Locate Psychic Elemental." The Shane brothers said simultaneously as Will's image appeared. "What was the story about that your grandmother told you boys each night before bed?" Will questioned. "How could we forget." Harley said. "The story of the First Protectors created Slugterra." Eli said. "Excellent. But listen carefully. The Psychic, Electric, Toxic, Plant and Ice Elementals are hidden away in the mythical 100th cavern called the South Enchanted Cavern. It's very far away and it's well protected by a mirage barrier that prevents you from going further into it." Will explained before he disappeared.

"Well, that's just great!" Lash groaned. "But he's right. That cavern is way too far for us to travel." Rune said. "But if we can't get there, how are we gonna get the other 5 Elementals?" Eli asked. 'Perhaps I can answer that for you.' A familiar voice said in the air. "What was that?" Junjie asked. "I know that voice." Harley said. And suddenly, there was a magenta flash in the middle of the gang. Harley gasped happily at what he saw next. His old slug friend, Wizard, along with 4 other slugs. "Wizard! It is you!" Harley exclaimed happily as he knelt down and held out his hand for Wizard. 'It is a great gift to see you again, Harley.' Wizard said as he hopped into his friend's hand. "But how'd you find us?" Harley asked. 'I've been sensing the dangers Blakk and the Goons have been causing to the caverns. And we felt the need to come to you, to help unite the 12 once more.' Wizard explained. "You already know the Psychic Elemental? How is this possible?" Yu Jie asked. "It's…a really long story involving my…condition. Wizard came to me and helped me learn to control my…condition." Harley explained.

'Please, allow me to introduce my fellow Elementals. Electric, Ice, Plant and Toxic.' Wizard said, introducing his fellow Elementals. "It's an honor to meet you all." Eli said as he knelt down and held out his hand for the 4 Elementals. The 4 hopped into his hand as they started chittering happily. 'They like you, Eli Shane.' Wizard chuckled. "With your permission, Wizard, I would like to give these 4 their own names." Eli said. 'Please, name away, my friend.' Wizard said. "I'll call you…Thunderbird." Eli started with the Electric Elemental, who chittered happy at the name. "And you'll be called…Glace." The Ice Elemental chittered. "Your name shall be…Gaia." The Plant Elemental squeaked happily. "And I think I'll call you…Toxiana." The Toxic Elemental squeaked as she blushed at the name. 'We are proud to fight beside you once more.' Wizard said. "Glad to hear it old friend." Harley said. "That only leaves the Fire Elemental. We gotta hurry! Let's move!" Eli called as he rushed for Lucky.

Later, the gang all arrived at the final cavern where the Fire Elemental was resting. "Upright Cavern. According to our dad's hologram, the Fire Elemental should be at the top." Eli said, pointing up an upright tunnel. "WHAT?! There is no way our mechas can make it up there!" Pronto exclaimed. "He's right. Our cables aren't long enough or strong enough for us to climb up there." Vance said. "No. But I know what can. Jetpacks!" Kord said. "Which we do not have. Eli, Harley, Yu Jie and I will use Burpy, Hestia, Joo-Joo and Towa to retrieve the Fire Elemental ourselves." Junjie said as he loaded and slung Joo-Joo into the air, leaping onto his blue-flamed Infurnus as he came around. "Wow. Junjie's pretty good at that." Eli said. "Are you just as good, Yu Jie?" Harley asked. "Of course. Junjie and I have both been riding our Infurnuses since we were 5." Yu Jie said. "Really. We sort of just figured it out." Eli said as he, Harley and Yu Jie loaded and slung Burpy, Hestia and Towa to join Junjie and Joo-Joo.

"Whoa, whoa! You 2 are gonna fly up there without us?" Kord asked. "Yeah. You guys are really gonna choose him over us?" Lash asked. "Us? Aren't we all us?" Eli asked confused. "What's this about, guys?" Harley asked. "It's not that Junjie's not talented. Or even nice." Trixie said. "But then again, Joshwa seemed nice the first time he joined us. At first." Pronto said. "I agree. I was revenge driven before I learned the truth about my true family." Joshwa said. "This isn't anything like that. Sure, we had some growing pains in the past, but we need Junjie. I'm sure of it. As much as we need each other." Eli said. "That's not what's bothering us." Shimei said. "We're just worried that Junjie has the same revenge driven attitude Joshwa had." Kala said.

"Eli, we are wasting time!" Junjie exclaimed as he leapt off Joo-Joo and landed in between Harley and Yu Jie. "We need to get the Fire Elemental and destroy the Goons once and for all! Yet all you're doing is wasting time when I could've exacted my vengeance by now!" Just then, Aerona shrieked and slapped Junjie hard across the face. The gang was shocked by this, except Fareeda, Kala and Paulina. They knew their sister would come to this eventually. Junjie was caught off guard by what Aerona just did, holding his cheek. "Look, Junjie, your desire for revenge is really the reason we're failing to get the Elementals! We lost Air and Water because you won't listen to us!" Aerona exclaimed, scolding the Eastern Champion. "She's right. I once was revenge driven to destroy Eli and Harley, and I lost my arm and almost lost my life to a very dangerous man because of that. If Kala hadn't rescued me that day…I never would've met my real family." Joshwa said, showing his metal arm. Junjie started pondering these words as he rubbed his sore slapped cheek, which now had a red hand mark.

"We can all argue about revenge later. Right now, we gotta fly." Eli said, whistling for Burpy. Each of the Infurnuses flew down and picked up their respective slingers. But Junjie lingered for a bit, still thinking about what this revenge is putting him through. Joo-Joo chittered and Junjie got back on his partner. Then all 8 of them started to fly up to the top. "Well, let's hope Junjie learns his lesson." Kord said.

"I'd like to see Blakk get here first. After all, it's not like Darkbane can fly." Eli said. "Last time I checked, they couldn't." Harley said. "Eli, Harley! Look!" Yu Jie called. They had reached the exit and flew into the Fire Elemental's home. "Whoa! We did it. There he is." Eli said as he spotted the Fire Elemental. He was sitting on a rock, looking around at the cavern in boredom. "Hey there!" Eli called, getting the slug's attention. "I'm Eli, that's my brother, Harley, and these are our friends, Burpy and Hestia." He introduced. Just then, Burpy and Hestia happily summersaulted in the air. "Whoa! Whoa there! Easy, Burpy." Eli said. "I guess they're really excited to see the Fire Elemental." Harley said.

Just then, several ghouls were slung from below them. They looked down the tunnel to see the Darkbane flying up towards them…on Eels! "It appears that the Darkbane can fly!" Junjie exclaimed. "They're flying Eels?! Since when can they fly Eels?!" Harley asked. "Move!" Eli called. They flew away as the Darkbane flew into the cavern. "Everyone, concentrate your fire on the Eels! Not the riders!" Eli called. Junjie slung Shang at one of the Eels, knocking it and its rider down. Yu Jie slung her Phosphoro, Shǎnguāng, blinding another Eel with Flashbang. But it wasn't getting any better. As soon as they take one down, more just come flying in. "It's no use, Eli! There's too many of them!" Harley called.

But then, Eli spotted someone climbing up the tunnel. "Blakk!" He shouted, slinging one of his slugs. But Blakk managed to climb out of the way, turn to the champions and fired ghouls from his gattler. Eli, Harley, Junjie and Yu Jie managed to evade the incoming ghouls and sling their Rammstones. But Blakk jumped out of the way and grabbed onto the ledge. Just then, there was a shriek. Everyone turned to see that the Goons and their Dark Slinger flew in on an Eel themselves and cornered the Fire Elemental. "I'm sorry. Did we interrupt a family reunion?" The Goon asked mockingly as he transformed back into a slug and hopped into the Dark Slinger's blaster. The She-Goon cackled as the Dark Slinger took aim at the Fire Elemental. "NO!" Eli shouted. The Dark Slinger slung the Goon near the Fire Elemental. The poor Elemental tried to run, but the Goon grabbed him and ghouled him. And because of this, dark energy began to corrupt Burpy, Hestia, Joo-Joo and Towa. "Burpy! No!" Eli cried. "No, Hestia!" Harley cried. "Towa!" Yu Jie cried. All 4 Infurnuses were ghouled back into Darkfurnuses and they shook off their riders, sending them falling down the tunnel.

Well…that was stomach turning. The Shane Gang managed to catch the Earth Elemental, and Wizard has returned with his 4 Elemental friends. And Doc is revealed to be the Energy Elemental. But Blakk and the Goons have managed to ensnare and ghoul the Fire Elemental, thus ghouling Burpy, Hestia, Joo-Joo and Towa. How are the Shane Gang ever gonna fix this mess now without Burpy and his Infurnus friends? And are Eli and Harley really the 2 new Elementals born to unite all of Slugterra?
