Black Vixen
(Black Panther + Vixen)
Name: T'Cabe
Biography: Deep in the heart of Africa, hidden from the rest of the world, lies perhaps the greatest empire ever built. This is Zakanda (Zambesi + Wakanda), home of its ruler and protector, the Black Vixen. Their incredible wealth and technological supremacy can all be attributed to them possessing the Earth's largest deposit of the most precious metal on the planet, vibranium.
Over a million years ago, a large meteorite composed entirely of vibranium crashed into what would become Wakanda, mutating the surrounding flora. Six tribes formed around this meteorite and almost immediately went to war with each other over it. This conflict lasted for many years until the day the greatest warrior from each tribe prayed to their god and received tools of incredible power. From the gods came six totems, each granting its wielder power over a specific element.
The Hyena Tribe were given the Totem of Earth, allowing them to shake and move the very ground beneath them.
The Crocodile Tribe received the Totem of Water, manipulating the essence of which all life comes from.
The Lion Tribe were granted the Totem of Air, making the winds themselves dance at the wielder's command.
The White Gorilla Tribe obtained the Totem of Fire. With this, they could sear the flesh off their enemies' bones with the hottest of flames.
The Panther Tribe were presented with the Totem of Death. Anyone who wore this would become the world's most powerful necromancer.
And finally, the Vixen Tribe, blessed with the Totem of Spirit, tapping into the life force of every animal that ever lived so that the wielder can mimic their abilities.
The gods' plan was to have the warriors fight each other with their Totems. The last one standing would be crowned ruler of all the tribes. Before the battle would begin, Anansi, Trickster God of the Vixen Tribe led her chosen warrior, Bantu (Bashenga + Tantu) to a mysterious heart-shaped herb. After consuming the herb, Anansi's champion gained strength, speed, and senses that far eclipsed the other Totem bearers.
With her newfound might and the Spirit Totem, Bantu emerged victorious. Four of the five tribes that lost agreed to follow her and offered up their totems as a sign of fealty. But, the White Gorilla Tribe refused to pledge allegiance, certain beyond doubt that the Vixen Tribe had cheated. They kept the Fire Totem and settled into the mountains, while the rest of the tribes, under the command of their new queen, joined together to become Zakanda.
Bantu was given a royal habit made entirely from vibranium, becoming the first Black Vixen. The title and habit made her power absolute but it also placed the responsibility of protecting Zakanda from its enemies on her shoulders. This power and responsibility would be passed down from queen to queen. The legacy of the Black Vixen continued into the 20th century with Queen R'Esi (Ramonda + Esi) and would pass on to the child of her and King T'Jiwe (T'Chaka + Richard Jiwe), Queen T'Cabe.
But before she'd become queen, T'Cabe travelled the world, studying under the best universities before returning to her homeland. When she did, she discovered that her parents had been murdered and half of Zakanda's vibranium supply had been stolen by a powerful South African smuggler named Ulysses Smythe (Klaw + Silver Banshee). As if the situation wasn't bad enough, M'Benatu (Man-Ape + Benatu Eshu), the Burning Ape, leader of the White Gorilla tribe, had taken over Zakanda.
In order to reclaim her kingdom, T'Cabe was going to have to fight M'Benatu in one-on-one combat. M'Benatu, following Zakanda's tradition, gave her her mother's totem so that they may fight on equal ground. T'Cabe's sister, Shuasa (Shuri + Kuasa) took a Heart-Shaped Herb and tried to give it to T'Cabe, but she refused, saying that if the White Gorilla Tribe would ever obey the throne, it'd have to be because she won it fairly. Even without the herb or the habit, T'Cabe still managed to defeat M'Benatu. Seeing that she fought honorably, M'Benatu relinquished the Fire Totem and for the first time, the White Gorilla Tribe pledged their loyalty to the queen.
After completing the Rite of Passage, T'Cabe was given the Spirit Totem, the Heart-Shaped Herb and the Black Vixen habit, finally becoming the new Black Vixen. But even with unfettered access to all of Zakanda's resources, she couldn't find Smythe or the stolen vibranium. She needed help, so Black Vixen returned to America and asked the Avengers League (Avengers + Justice League) for aid. They were happy to lend their assistance and after defeating Smythe and recovering the vibranium, Black Vixen was asked to join them. She accepted, joining the Avengers League on countless adventures which inspired her to try and make Zakanda more open to the rest of the world.
T'Cabe's duties as both queen and protector would never cease, but she has proven that she is more than up to the challenge. Because if there's one thing stronger than the Black Vixen's habit, it's her will. No matter what enemy she faces, she will never kneel.
Powers & Abilities: T'Cabe's years of studying at some of the best universities in the world, as well as the education she received as a Zakandan royal, has made her one of the smartest people in the world. She's also mastered multiple martial arts while in Zakanda, meaning her fighting skills match her intellect.
After consuming the Heart-Shaped Herb, T'Cabe's physical abilities shot up to superhuman levels, making her stronger, faster, more agile, and more durable than almost any other person in the world.
The Black Vixen habit that she often wears is composed entirely of vibranium, making it virtually indestructible. Vibranium is able to absorb any and all vibrations, including kinetic energy. This means, for example, that bullets don't bounce off the suit, they stop dead in their tracks and fall to the ground. The habit is also outfitted with anti-metal claws, a rare type of vibranium found in Antarctica that vibrates at specific frequencies to break down all other metals at a molecular level, including vibranium or even promantium (promethium + adamantium), the strongest metal on Earth.
Last but not least is the Spirit Totem. Created by Anansi and passed down T'Cabe's family line for countless millennia, the Totem grants the wielder the power of any animal they choose. With it, the Black Vixen can run as fast as a Cheetah, be as strong as an elephant, or take to the skies and fly like a hawk.
Appearance: T'Cabe has very dark brown skin with black hair and amber eyes.
Every Black Vixen wears the Black Vixen habit, which covers the wearer's entire body with a black vibranium mesh. On the habit's head are two white slits over the eyes for T'Cabe to see through and two pointed ears at the top. Around her neck is the Spirit Totem, a golden fox head small enough to fit in the palm of your hand tied to a necklace decorated with beads and animal teeth.
