Name: Oliver Barton
Biography: Oliver Barton grew up in the worst neighborhood in Star City, the Glades, alongside his older brother Tommy (Tommy Merlyn + Barney Barton) and their father Malcolm (Malcolm Merlyn + Harold Barton). Malcolm was a violent, abusive wretch of a human being who frequently took his bursts of drunken fury out on his own sons.
One day, when Ollie was thirteen years old, Tommy hatched a plan to get away from Malcolm. They'd sneak onto the yacht of town millionaire, Buck Queen (Trick Shot + Robert Queen), and wherever the ship sailed to, so long as it was far away from Star City, that's where they'd get off. Sadly, Tommy got caught trying to smuggle himself onboard and Ollie was the only one who made it.
Ollie sat in the cargo hold waiting for the ship to stop so he can get off and start a new life. It would stop a lot sooner than he expected because a massive storm appeared and started shaking the entire boat apart. Ollie ran for the lifeboats and stumbled across the ship's owner, Buck Queen. Any questions Buck had about a child being onboard would have to wait. The two jumped onto the only lifeboat just as the yacht began to sink.
The two washed ashore on an unmarked island completely void of human life. For ten years, Buck and Oliver struggled to survive on this island with little more than a makeshift bow, some handmade arrows, and Buck's years of archery training. Buck taught Oliver everything he knew, and after a decade he had become someone else. He had become something else.
Then one day, Oliver spotted a drug smuggling operation trying to turn this island into their new base. With nothing but his skill and newfound survivor's instinct, Ollie shut the operation down and radioed for help. Soon after, he and Buck were rescued and returned to Star City.
The first thing Oliver did when he came back home was try to reunite with Tommy. But as he checked his old home and asked around the Glades, he learned that his father had died in a car accident and nobody had seen Tommy in years.
After Buck adopted him, Oliver suddenly became one of the richest men in Star City. But despite the ease of his new life, it just didn't feel right to him. And after hearing news of Iron Bat (Iron Man + Batman) defending the streets of Gotham City, he had found his calling. He built a new and improved custom bow, some trick arrows, and his own costume and decided to become a crimefighter himself, the Green Hawk.
The Green Hawk decided to make his debut in Gotham City, same as his inspiration. But on his first day on the job, Green Hawk was mistaken for a jewel thief and was given a ran from the police alongside Russian superspy, the Black Huntress (Black Widow + Huntress). Once he had fallen into the Huntress' clutches, she seduced him into helping her destroy Iron Bat himself.
During the fight between the two of them and Iron Bat, Black Huntress became seriously injured so Green Hawk ended the battle early and took her away to nurse her back to health. The next morning, Black Huntress had disappeared without a trace and mobsters all over Gotham started dropping like flies. Green Hawk could tell that she was responsible and so approached Iron Bat, desperately asking to help him find her.
Iron Bat and Green Hawk located Black Huntress in Stefano Silvio's (Stefano Mandragora + Silvermane) mansion, surrounded by dozens of armed KGB agents and the three of them worked together to defeat them all. After that, Iron Bat offered Green Hawk and Black Huntress a position on the Avengers League (Avengers + Justice League). Then Green Hawk said yes, Iron Bat then suggested that he start his superhero career at his own city.
And so he did. The Green Hawk became Star City's guardian angel and would go on to inspire other heroes to protect its citizens. So long as he has a bow in his hands and eyes on his target, he will never fail his city.
Powers & Abilities: When talking about Green Hawk's abilities, it's inevitable that people would discuss his penchant for a bow and arrow. His marksmanship is so advanced, he can even fire up to five arrows at once and he's practically guaranteed to always hit his target. And while he carries plenty of regular arrows in his quiver, there are just as many if not more "trick arrows" with their own unique abilities.
He has arrows that function as a grappling hook, a boomerang arrow that always comes back, and an arrow with a boxing glove at the end; perfect for when you want to punch someone really hard from really far away.
He has arrows tipped with promantium (promethium + adamantium), the strongest metal in the world. He has arrows tipped with acid that can melt through nearly anything. There's even an arrow tipped with a 30 megaton bomb!
His putty arrows cover anything they hit with an inescapable paste and his tornado arrow can...create tornadoes.
But most shocking of all might be his Pym Particle Arrow. Discovered and named after renowned physicist, Raymond Pym (Atom + Ant-Man), the Pym Particles can be wielded to grow and shrink anything they come into contact with. With this particle, Green Hawk fires an arrow with a head filled with tiny arrows into the sky. Once it reaches its peak, the arrows turn to normal size raining down a volley of death that blots out the sun.
Appearance: Oliver has Caucasian skin, green eyes, and blond hair with a goatee and mustache.
His Green Hawk outfit is, obviously, very green, dark green, to be specific. He wears a sleeveless hooded top with a pair of green gloves and green sunglasses. His pants are a slightly lighter shade with his boots being the same color as the rest of his outfit.
As an archer, he naturally carries a quiver on his back wherever he goes. This is green too, of course.
