Chapter 6: The Plan for Battle
Back with Aslan, he, the Narnian people, and the Fódlan outsiders were discussing about how they could win the battle to being Narnia to peace once again. However, things took a drastic turn as the sound of the galloping of horses were heard in the distance outside the giant red and yellow tent. Curious to find out what it was, Mercedes decided to take a quick glance.
"Mercedes, what are you doing?" Byleth asked his student. "Chances are it could be evil lurking upon us!"
"Your friend has a point right there, Mercedes." Aslan said.
"No… it looks like something… in the distance… and they look familiar to me in some way." Mercedes explained to Aslan and Byleth.
"Can you describe what is going on?" Reepicheep asked Mercedes.
"No." Mercedes responded. "I cannot see that far, Reepicheep. But… they are coming closer to here." Then, someone shouted Mercedes' name as she was about to go back inside the tent. It was, however, unknown who it was.
"Who said that?" Mercedes asked herself.
"I don't know, Mercedes, but whoever it was, it sounds like they know your name." Byleth said as he heard Mercedes ask herself the question.
"I'll go check and see what it was." Aslan said.
As Aslan went to check and see who said Mercedes' name, he saw two centaurs with unfamiliar faces to him. However, Mercedes was right on those faces being familiar to her. It was in fact her classmates, Sylvain and Ingrid. However, they were mistaken as Narnian spies working for the White Witch. But Little did Mercedes know that Annette, another one of her classmates, was right behind them the entire time, except at a faraway distance.
"We're not spies, wise and good lion!" Sylvain pleaded. "We are being honest here!"
"This is for me to decide, young one." Aslan said.
"Why?" Ingrid asked. Aslan then wanted Sylvain and Ingrid to come with him. When Aslan went back inside the giant red and yellow tent, he asked everyone if anyone knew Sylvain and Ingrid.
"They're my students, Aslan." Byleth said. "But… what happened, Sylvain? Are you able to explain?"
"I don't know what happened, Professor." Sylvain responded. "But I'm going to tell you the truth right this instant. I was searching for you and Mercedes back at Garreg Mach Monastery, and I even looked all around for you. However, you guys were nowhere to be found."
"So how did you even find us, Sylvain?" Archbishop Rhea asked Sylvain.
"I don't know, Lady Rhea." Sylvain responded.
"Not even I know." Ingrid said to the archbishop of the Church of Seiros. "And I see Annette ditched class too." Ingrid later said after turning around after a moment of slience.
"Did not, Ingrid!" Annette said. "I was trying to catch up to Mercedes! She's my classmate too!"
"Well, you have your facts straight, Annette." Rhea said.
"And besides, what is this place anyways?" Sylvain asked.
"This is Narnia, good ones." Aslan responded to the question.
"This… is Narnia?!" Sylvain asked in shock.
"But we thought Narnia was just in those books that Mercedes read." Ingrid said.
"That was cleared up earlier." Seteth said to Sylvain and Ingrid.
"So, what do we do now? Do we just leave this place and go back to class so that everything is back to normal?" Sylvain asked.
"I am going to need you two to sit down." Aslan said.
"Okay." Ingrid said.
"I'm on it, good lion." Sylvain said. Aslan later got on with the battle preparation conversation.
When the conversation started, Aslan decided to review what happened to Narnia. He stated that the White Witch has taken over the land, and he was requesting help from skilled soldiers and other well-known warriors.
"So, what is the best course of action to save Narnia from this destruction, Aslan?" Byleth asked.
"By attacking the White Witch's army, I've decided that I am going to take Archbishop Rhea's idea and make you on my side, Byleth." Aslan said.
"But you don't even know Byleth that well!" Sylvain said.
"Well, before you guys came to Narnia, we didn't know any of you. And look. We're allies, now." Aslan said. "We cannot fight the White Witch alone. But you can help us into fighting her off. And with the Crest of Flames and the Sword of the Creator on the side of Narnia… everything will turn out alright. We will win back Narnia!" Everyone soon cheered on Aslan's great words.
"Aslan, you sure do have your own line of wisdom." Rhea said.
"I sure do." Aslan said. And so, everyone agreed on Aslan's words of wisdom about the upcoming battle to save Narnia from the evils of the White Witch. The true Narnian showdown was about to begin the next day.
