Alec looked at her sadly. He wasn't sure if she should visit Joe in this state, not when she had just found out that Joe was the one who murdered innconnent Danny.

When Hardy calls in sick, a suspicious Ellie decides to pay him a visit.

All those in Broadchurch are trying to find peace again after the tragic murder of Danny Latimer, including Bonnie and Alec. An important step to that is Joe Miller finally seeing justice. But when they're all dragged into a trial, and the Sandbrook case gets a new wind, Bonnie has new demons to battle. While the new couple strive for a new horizon, something will always impede.

During the Trish Winterman rape investigation, things are starting to get interesting between Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller. What will come of their work partnership and personal relationship? (This adds/modifies scenes few scenes to S3. It's based around what I see to be major growth and change in Alec Hardy now that he's back in Broadchurch and relieved of the stress of Sandbrook)

Olivia MacDonald, Ellie Miller's best friend since childhood, is back in town and meets Alec Hardy. The two Scots aren't sure what to make of each other at first, but both have had a hard past and seem to be drawn together now. (Takes place starting immediately after Season 3 - with Alec Hardy going to the pub with Ellie after all)
