This is the conclusion of "A Million Holes Poked In The Soul". It's the final part that deals with the Sandbrook case aftermath and leads up to Alec Hardy coming to Broadchurch. Reading Part One & Two is strongly recommended as this story is a direct continuation.

Series 2 during episode 6; pacemaker surgery. CC & BBC owns all. Heath is Daisy's deceased younger twin brother. Alec is the oldest of triplets; Alec, Baron and Cairn. Jonny MacReynolds is Alec's friend and former CS; Tess's current CS. Margaret is his boss.

Two inspirations for this; Dirty Brian and Alex's voice and looks. His eyes were so expressive. Then Dallas and the Bobby Shower scene.

And then it hits him: "I'm alive."} Alec Hardy, 44, post-op for pacemaker insertion, complete with a long history of severe arrhythmia... He's a detective in great need of some healing.
