The episode opened with a shot of the abandoned film lot. "Last time, on Total Drama: Revenge of the Action...It was sci-fi time for the teams! For the first part of their sci-fi themed challenge, they had to research a foreign substance and find out what it was. Calvin was the first to find out what the foreign substance was, therefore netting his team an advantage in the next part of the challenge: Defeating an army of Clampons and their leader, Chef Hatchet. The Suspicious Snakes managed to win the challenge thanks to Bernie suggesting to wait on Napoleon, Danny and Steve to arrive at their location before moving on to Chef Hatchet. At the Gilded Chris Ceremony, however, it was Veronica who was voted off for being an overall pain in the butt with her bullying ways. Before she went on her way, her boyfriend Derek promised her that he would win the season for her, just like how Veronica promised him to win Total Drama Revived for him." Chris explained as he gave a recap of last episode's events before the scene cut to Chris standing on the stage where the Gilded Chris Ceremony took place.
"With Veronica out of the picture, will the Legal Eagles be able to bounce back from their recent loss? Or will the Suspicious Snakes once again net the victory in today's challenge? Which contestant will be the next one exiled from the film lot? And will Total Drama get renewed for Season 9? Find out right now, on Total...Drama...Revenge of the Action!" Chris finished as the show's intro began to play.
Two spotlights rose into the air, as a camera popped up from a hole, and another one popped up from a tree as a director's clapper was used.
Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine.
The camera proceeded to zoom through the studio before reaching a pool, proceeding to go underwater where Moon was shown swimming underwater. A shark swam up behind her, and Moon proceeded to bravely punch the shark in its snout before swimming away, after which the shark rubbed its snout in pain.
You guys are on my mind.
It then cut to above water, where Bernie was standing on top of a surfboard, dodging seagulls that Veronica was shooting at him. He was promptly knocked into the water.
You asked me what I wanted to be,
Veronica laughed after having knocked Bernie into the water, and then proceeded to kiss Derek on the lips as they embraced and grinned at each other.
And I think the answer is plain to see...
The camera then went through a set of doors as Calvin ran past it, being chased by an animatronic monster.
I wanna be famous.
Laurence was standing around and scratching his head in confusion before Angela saved him from a falling stage light. The two then smiled at each other.
I wanna live close to the sun.
The scene then cut to Candace lounging in some beach chairs as she wore a pair of purple aviator shades, flashing a grin.
Go pack your bags 'cause I've already won.
It then cut to Nancy playing her Dual Teen inside the makeup trailer before makeup was being applied to her, causing her to cough and glare in annoyance.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way.
It then cut to Wendy pushing Napoleon off a platform as she grinned in satisfaction.
I'll get there one day.
Napoleon fell down into the kitchen area as one of his shoes fell into a meal Chef had prepared. Chef noticed the shoe in his meal, but shrugged his shoulders before passing it to Jackson, who applied his special spice to the meal and smiled in satisfaction after tasting the meal.
'Cause I wanna be famous.
As Steve was repairing a panel on some special effects board, he accidentally activated the explosions system. He held his right hand over his mouth in shock as he noticed this. Meanwhile, Violetta laughed excitedly at the explosions that had just occurred before noticing an angry bear next to her, and proceeded to chase after it to scare it away.
Na na na na na na, na na na na na, na na na na na na.
As Violetta and the bear ran past a limosine, the window rolled down to reveal Karen and Bob, the latter opening the limosine door as the scene cut to photo cameras flashing and journalists holding notepads.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
The scene then showed Chris standing on a stage dressed in a white tuxedo with a red bowtie and white dress shoes, holding a card in his hands. He then looked at Chef, who was dressed in his pink glitter dress with pink glitter gloves, pink glitter chef hat and pink pumps, angrily gritting his teeth at Chris.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
The scene then cut to Danny and Rooney sitting on a couch together, as they laughed at the scene with Chris and Chef, which was being projected on a tv behind them.
[Whistling] I wanna be, I wanna be famous.
The camera then zoomed out to reveal all the competitors and non-competitors sitting on couches on a stage, with Danny and Rooney sitting on a couch in the middle.
The scene then cut to the inside of the girls' trailer, where the remaining four girls woke up, glancing over to the empty beds of Nancy, Moon, Karen and Veronica. "Man, it's starting to get rather empty and secluded in here..." Candace remarked as she got out of bed.
Angela nodded in agreement. "It sure is...I hope that the remaining four of us will survive this round and be able to move on to the merge together, or else the guys are going to practically dominate this competition." She chimed in.
"I'm sure that if you girls, Calvin and Bob do your best during the challenge today, you'll be able to move on to the next phase of the game together. Although that does mean I could have a chance of being the next one out of the game if my team loses the challenge." Violetta chimed in as well.
"I highly doubt that they'd vote you out at the next elimination ceremony, Violetta. You're well liked by your team." Wendy assured her.
Violetta smiled at that. "Good point, Wendy. Thanks for the kind words." She told the jockette.
Wendy smiled and nodded back. "Anytime." She replied.
-Confessional: Wendy-
"Sure, I might have done some not so nice things on this season, but I can still be friendly to my fellow competitors where needed. Even people who are bad to the bone such as Alejandro and Heather have had their kinder and more noble side to them, so not every Total Drama villain is all bad. Except Scarlett. She was flat out malicious."
-End Confessional-
Meanwhile, in the boys' trailer, the remaining seven boys were confident about their chances in the game. "Alright, there's only four girls left, and seven of us left. Us guys are doing well for ourselves in this season." Danny remarked with a smile.
Derek nodded in agreement. "Yeah. We're practically dominating this competition at this point. It kinda makes me feel bad for the girls though, having their numbers dwindling like that." He replied.
"That is understandable, my friend. I frankly feel bad for the ladies myself with the way their numbers are dwindling right now. Us from the Legal Eagles should still try to persevere in today's challenge, however. We cannot let the Suspicious Snakes win out of pity." Napoleon chimed in.
Steve nodded in agreement as well. "Napoleon's right. No matter how bad we may feel for the other team, we can't let them win today's challenge. We should give it our full 100%." He chimed in as well.
"Well, may the best team win today's challenge, agents. Good luck." Calvin then said.
-Confessional: Napoleon-
"I am confident about my team's chances in today's challenge. Depending on what the theme for today's challenge is, I might just put on my best challenge performance on this season so far. We'll just have to see."
-End Confessional-
The scene then cut to the teams having breakfast at the Craft Services Tent, their breakfast consisting of brown slop. "I'm not sure what Chef used to make this stuff, but it's certainly not meat loaf like he claims it to be." Angela remarked as she poked her fork at the slop, causing it to bubble a bit.
"Hey, if it's edible, then I'll eat it. I'm willing to stomach the side effects from eating it." Calvin replied as he began to eat his brown slop.
Candace nodded in agreement. "Calvin's right. If we're able to eat it, then it should all be good, right?" She chimed in before she began to eat her brown slop as well.
"I guess we'll just have to pretend we're eating a big fat pizza or something actually tasty." Bob shrugged before he began to eat his brown slop as well.
"It's better than starving to death, I guess." Wendy shrugged as well as she began to eat her brown slop as well.
"If everyone's eating it, then I guess I'll eat it too." Angela sighed before she began to eat as well.
The Legal Eagles looked at the Suspicious Snakes eating their brown slop before looking at their own brown slop. "Guess we better finish this stuff before Chris comes in to announce the next challenge to us, don't you think?" Steve suggested to his teammates.
Danny nodded in agreement. "Yeah. The food may be crappy, but at least we get food at all. I've seen other reality shows where the contestants don't get anything to eat and have to make do with whatever they can find around them." He chimed in.
"Danny's got a good point. Let's get around to eating this stuff so Chef won't get mad at us for not finishing our food." Bernie nodded as well.
"Yep. Bon appetit, I guess." Violetta shrugged as she and the other members of the Legal Eagles began to eat their food.
After begrudgingly finishing his food, Napoleon sighed. "Hopefully this show won't last much longer, because I don't think I can take much more of this muck..." The dashing Dutch jock remarked.
"Just gotta keep your stomach strong, Napoleon. This show will be over before you know it." Steve assured Napoleon, who nodded in response. Shortly after both teams had finished their meals, Chris proceeded to enter the Craft Services Tent, dressed in a red football jersey with the numbers 0 and 7 on it, white athletic shorts, white football shoes and a red football helmet.
"Ooh! Based on Chris' outfit, we're most likely going to be doing a sports challenge!" Candace cheered.
Chris smiled and nodded. "That's right, Candace! Today's movie genre is all about sports! I'll explain more about the challenge once you guys make it to the set! So drop off your plate, finish any business you have left, and then get onto the trolleys that'll take you to the challenge set! I'll expecting you in 20 minutes!" He announced before walking out of the Craft Services Tent again.
The scene then cut to both teams sitting in their trolleys as they were being driven towards the challenge set. The Suspicious Snakes' trolley was being driven by Lightning, while the Legal Eagles' trolley was being driven by Sierra.
"Hey, Lightning. I'm sure you would've loved to compete in a sports themed challenge like this. I'm sure you could've carried your team to victory in it." Candace told Lightning with a smile.
"Oh, yeah! Fo 'sho! Lightning would've been able to carry his team back home with the victory in the bag if Lightning were to compete on this season of Total Drama! But instead, Lightning's stuck working as Chris' lame intern! Sha-Lame!" Lightning agreed with Candace's statement.
"I wouldn't want to be stuck working as Chris' intern, let me tell you. It's already bad enough competing on this show, and I can't imagine what horrors the interns have to go through doing all of Chris' grunt work." Bob remarked.
"Oh, believe me, dude: Chris is making Lightning do lots of stupid crap around this film lot! The list of stupid crap he makes Lightning do is too long to recount, so Lightning's gonna save you the details on that!" Lightning told Bob.
Bob nodded at that. "I'll keep that in mind." He replied with a nervous chuckle.
-Confessional: Bob-
"I think Lightning's an okay dude. Sure, he's all muscle and no brain, but I actually thought he was a pretty cool antagonist in Revenge of the Island. I'm no antagonist material myself, but Lightning's the type of antagonist I'd totally be cool with having on my team if we were to compete on a future season of Total Drama together. That might just happen in the future, who knows?"
-End Confessional-
"So, Sierra. Has anything interesting happened since you started working as Chris' intern?" Danny asked Sierra curiously.
"Oh, lots of stuff! Duncan and Courtney have been on much better terms since they started working as Chris' interns, although tensions obviously still remain between them! But past wounds are starting to heal between them, it seems!" Sierra replied.
"Cool. Anything else?" Steve asked too.
"Hmmmm...Oh! It seems that Lightning is trying to get back at Jo for backstabbing him in All-Stars, and they've been involved in some sort of prank war since they started working as Chris' interns! It makes for some juicy drama to write about on my blogs for sure!" Sierra continued.
Steve smiled at that. "That's really cool to hear. I guess you'd be the go to girl for the latest gossip amongst the interns throughout the season." He remarked.
Sierra smiled and nodded. "Oh, definitely! I stay observant and try to keep an eye out for anything interesting to write about on my blog! And anyone who says blogging isn't real journalism is just crazy! Like how people say I was crazy for Cody in All-Stars: It was all nonsense!" She replied to Steve. Some of the Legal Eagles looked at each other with a doubtful expression.
-Confessional: Derek-
"Sierra can deny it all she wants, but she was definitely not right in the head because of Cody in All-Stars. Come to think of it, a lot of contestants in All-Stars acted very different from how they usually acted. And that was one of the reasons why All-Stars and Pahkitew Island both got mediocre ratings."
-End Confessional-
The trolleys then arrived at the challenge set. "Alright, Suspicious Snake dudes! We're here! Be sure to kick some ass for Lightning this challenge, yeah?" Lightning told the Suspicious Snakes.
"We will, Agent Lightning. Thanks for the ride." Calvin replied with a smile before him and the rest of the Suspicious Snakes got off the trolley and walked onto the challenge set.
"Alright, we've arrived at your stop, guys! Have fun during the challenge!" Sierra beamed at the Legal Eagles.
"We'll try, milady. Thank you very much for the ride." Napoleon replied with a smile before him and the rest of the Suspicious Snakes got off the trolley and walked onto the challenge set.
Chris and Chef were standing on the challenge set. Chris was still wearing the football gear from before while Chef wore a gray sweatshirt with gray sweatpants and black and white trainers. "Ah, cool! You all made it! Now, you're probably wondering what today's challenge is going to be. You already know it's a sports themed challenge, but you don't know what it is exactly that you have to do for today's challenge, so let me get to explaining that right away!" Chris began.
"Here's the deal: Both teams will be selecting a team member to take on the role of a football coach trying to get their football team, which is the rest of their team, to the football championships. Once both teams have selected their coach, the coaches each get 6 hours to train their teams, after which the football teams will face off against each other which team goes to the championships." Chris explained.
Chef nodded. "The team that wins the face-off also wins the challenge and a reward. Now, before we begin, I'm gonna have to ask the Legal Eagles to have one of their members sit this challenge out." He chimed in, causing the Legal Eagles to look surprised.
"One of us has to sit this challenge out?" Violetta asked.
Chef nodded at that. "We wanna have the football teams even for the face off, so one of y'all will have to sit out the challenge." He explained.
-Confessional: Violetta-
"I can't help but find it odd that Chris and Chef decided one of us has to sit out this challenge. To my recollection, no challenge in Total Drama history has required a contestant to sit out the challenge before, so why now? Then again, what right do I have to argue with Chris and Chef's standards on challenge rules? They break their own challenge and competition rules all the time."
-End Confessional-
"The contestant who has to sit the challenge out will be decided by pullin' one of your names outta a hat. Whoever's name is on the card I pull outta this hat will have to sit out the challenge. Y'all understand?" Chef asked the Legal Eagles, who nodded.
"Good. Now let's see who's goin' to sit out this challenge." Chef then said as Courtney walked up to him with a baseball cap filled with cards in her hand and handed said baseball cap to Chef.
"I can't believe those jerks are too lazy to get that baseball cap themselves..." Courtney muttered under her breath before walking away again.
"A'ight, now let's see..." Chef said as he blindly pulled a card out of the baseball cap and checked it. "Napoleon, you'll be sittin' out this challenge." He told the dashing Dutch jock, shocking the Legal Eagles.
"What?! Napoleon has to sit out this challenge?! But he'd be our perfect asset for a challenge like this!" Derek protested.
"Derek is right! Why do I have to sit out this challenge when I can perfectly carry the team in it?!" Napoleon protested as well.
Chris and Chef both gave an unsympathetic shrug. "Hey, Chef pulled that card out of the hat, and the decision's final. Napoleon will be sitting out the challenge, and you'll have to deal with it." Chris replied as Napoleon groaned.
Bernie put a hand on Napoleon's shoulder. "No worries, dude. I'm sure we'll be able to carry home the win without you." He assured the dashing Dutch jock.
Napoleon nodded at that. "You may be right, Bernie. I wish you all luck in today's challenge." He told the rest of the Legal Eagles.
The scene then cut to the Suspicious Snakes trying to decide who their coach for the challenge was going to be. "Alright, we have to pick a coach for the challenge. I would put myself up for grabs as coach, but given that I have more physical prowess, I'd probably fit the role of football player more than the role of football coach. So is anyone of you willing to take on the role of football coach instead?" Wendy asked her teammates.
Angela raised her hand. "I could possibly fit the role of football coach very well. I could potentially develop a strategy for the face-off that might just carry home the win for the team." The smart girl spoke up.
Wendy nodded at that before turning to the rest of the team. "Are you guys fine with Angela being our coach for today's challenge?" She asked them.
Bob shrugged. "I got no better ideas, so I'd be up for it." He replied.
"I don't know a thing about football, so I'm fine with Agent Angela taking lead of the team for today as well." Calvin spoke up.
"I haven't played enough football back home to develop a winning strategy, so let's assign Angela for that." Candace chimed in.
Wendy nodded again. "Alright, then that's decided. Angela will be our coach for today's challenge." She said.
Meanwhile, the Legal Eagles, except for Napoleon were also deciding who their coach should be for the challenge. "So, who should be our coach for this challenge?" Steve asked.
"I could probably develop a strategy for winning this challenge, but I don't know anything about football to do so. Sports is not exactly something a geek like myself can strategize in." Bernie spoke up.
Steve nodded at that. "Alright, so Bernie's obviously not the right choice for coach. Anyone else?" He asked.
"I could possibly fill in the position of coach as well, but I don't think I'd be cut out for that position as I'm better at actually playing in a sports team than I'd be at coaching it, so it's not gonna be me either." Violetta replied.
Steve nodded at that. "Well, I don't know football well enough to be able to coach you guys either, so it's down to Danny and Derek. Which one of you guys wants to be coach?" The engineer asked Danny and Derek.
Danny immediately raised his hand. "Oh! Oh! Can I be the coach for the challenge? I promise I won't let you guys down! And if I do let you down, I'll take full responsibility for our team losing the challenge and let you guys vote me out at the elimination ceremony, I promise!" He spoke up.
Steve nodded again at that before looking at the rest of his team. "Are you guys fine with Danny coaching us for this challenge?" He asked the others.
"I got no better ideas, so I'm fine with Danny coaching." Derek shrugged.
"I'll give him a chance to prove himself. Every contestant deserves that chance." Bernie replied.
"I agree with Bernie on this one." Violetta chimed in.
Steve nodded once more. "Alright, then that's decided. Danny's going to be our coach." He said.
The scene then cut to Chris and Chef. "Alright, both teams have decided their coaches! Now it's time for the coaches to start training their teams! You both have 6 hours to train your teams, starting...now!" Chris announced before Chef blew on a whistle.
The scene then cut Angela sitting on a folding chair as she was writing down things on a clipboard, trying to write and draw out her team's strategy for the football face-off. Bob then walked up to her.
"Hey, Angela. How's the strategy coming along?" Bob asked Angela.
"It's coming along well, I believe. Care to hear what I've got so far?" Angela asked Bob back.
Bob smiled and nodded. "Sure, I'd love to." He replied.
Angela nodded back as she showed Bob her strategy so far. "Alright, so I was thinking of putting Wendy and Calvin on the offense for the face-off, and then put you and Candace on the defense. Wendy and Calvin seem like the more physically stronger members of our team, so they would be perfect for the offense of the game." She began to explain to Bob.
Bob nodded at that as he took a look at the strategizing that Angela had written down on her clipboard. "Alright, that sounds fair. Anything else you've got so far?" He then asked Angela.
"I have yet to form the rest of my strategy, but I will let you and the others know when I do have anything new." Angela replied before Bob nodded and walked away again.
Meanwhile, Calvin was conversing with Wendy. "So, Agent Wendy. Do you have the confidence that we will win this challenge like we won the last one?" Calvin asked Wendy curiously.
Wendy nodded at that, a confident smile on her face. "I sure do, Calvin. I'm feeling very confident that we can win this challenge like we won the last one. A sports challenge is something right up my alley, and with no Napoleon to aid the Legal Eagles, I'd say our chances of winning this challenge are at 100%." She replied to the secret agent.
Calvin smiled at that as well. "I'm glad to hear that, Agent Wendy. You're the team captain, after all, so if you have the confidence that we will win this challenge, then so do I." He replied back.
"Of course, Calvin. A team wouldn't doubt the confidence of their captain, am I right?" Wendy replied, keeping the confident smile.
-Confessional: Wendy-
"Calvin is a nice guy, but he also doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed. And that seems like just the type of contestant I can take advantage of. You know, he's easy to get on my side and get him to vote with me during elimination ceremonies. He's also starting to get close with Candace, it seems, so if I can get Calvin on my side, then getting Candace on my side should be just as easy."
-End Confessional-
As Calvin and Wendy were conversing, Bob walked up to them. "Hey, guys. So, what were you guys talking about?" He asked Calvin and Wendy as he approached them.
"Oh, Calvin asked me if I was confident about winning today's challenge, and I told that I'm very confident about it. Isn't that right, Calvin?" Wendy asked Calvin.
Calvin turned to Bob with a smile and nodded. "Yeah! If Wendy's feeling confident about our chances in the challenge, then why should we doubt her confidence?" He chimed in.
Bob thought about it before nodding. "I guess that makes sense. But there's still a possibility we could lose this challenge, and if we do, we have to be ready to vote someone off. And given that there's five of us remaining, it's going to be very difficult to decide who to vote off." He replied.
"Well, I'm sure that Angela will be providing us with a prize winning strategy for the face-off, and once she's finished with developing that strategy, we're going to do the very best we can to train that strategy." Wendy told him.
Bob nodded at Wendy. "I just talked to Angela about her strategy so far, and she told me that she's planning on putting you two on the offense while putting me and Candace on the defense. I'm sure she knows what she's doing, so I'm going to put my full trust into her strategy." He replied again.
Calvin was impressed by the fact that Angela had placed him on the offense. "Wow, Angela trusts me to be on the offense? I'm really flattered by that." He said with a bright smile.
Bob nodded at Calvin. "She said that you were one of the physically stronger members of the team, so you would be perfect for the offense of the game." He told the secret agent.
Wendy smiled and nodded in agreement. "I'm sure that Calvin will be an ideal offensive player for the face-off, and I agree that Angela knows what she's doing, so I will be putting my full trust into her strategy as well." She chimed in.
Bob nodded at that. "Alright. Well, I'll be seeing what Candace is up to. Later, guys." He told Calvin and Wendy before walking off again.
Meanwhile, Candace was doing another freestyle rap, and as Bob was approaching her, he stopped to listen to her freestyle rap.
"I can rap better than most of these punk ass kids can.
It ain't no contest.
It's like Machine Gun Kelly vs Eminem.
These YouTube rappers got their armies of preteen kids to protect and adore 'em.
So which kid's gonna take this bullet for 'em?
And I will be the gal to once again blow up rapping sports.
While I am rocking these slapping shorts.
I mean, look at these shorts.
They're rad and athletic.
Even Snoop Dogg would show up rocking something this fantastic.
And all the ice under most modern day rappers will be melted into water
When I hit them with a track that's even hotter than most tv mothers.
They're too young and too basic.
Their talent is lame, bro.
And spoiler alert:
They ain't got no game, bro.
I drop rhymes like I'm dropping out of an airplane.
Trash these scatterbrains.
Hit them like a steam train.
Keep your gloves on, kiddies.
You're too clean.
I got these raps covered like gravy on poutine."
As Candace finished rapping, she saw Bob and smiled. "Oh, hey, Bob! Did you hear that entire thing?" She asked the musician.
Bob smiled and nodded. "I did, and it was pretty good! You really know how to do freestyle raps!" He said, clapping for Candace's freestyle rap.
Candace chuckled at that. "Thanks, Bob! I try my very best to find a beat to rap to and rhymes to go with that beat, and most of the time, it works out really well! Glad it pays off!" She replied.
Bob nodded again. "Cool. So, what do you think our challenges of winning this challenge are?" He asked Candace.
"Well, Angela's really smart and knows what she's doing, so I'm fairly confident that we can win this challenge. I mean, I don't think the Legal Eagles have any people on their team that know football too well." Candace replied.
"That's what I thought. Well, I think that everyone's confident in our chances of winning this challenge, so that should raise our morale for when the face-off comes around. Thanks for this talk, Candace." Bob said to the rapping tomboy with a smile.
Candace smiled and nodded back, giving Bob a thumbs up. "Anytime, Bob! I always enjoy talking to my teammates, so thanks for this talk to you as well!" She beamed. Bob smiled and nodded before walking off again.
Meanwhile, with the Legal Eagles, Danny was sitting in a folding chair as well with a pen and a notebook in his hands. He was deep in thought as he tried to figure out a strategy for his team to win the challenge. Violetta and Bernie were watching him from a distance.
"Do you think Danny will have what it takes to carry our team to victory today?" Bernie asked Violetta with a doubtful expression on his face.
"I'm not sure, but Danny's our best bet we have for leading our team today. I mean, Napoleon isn't allowed to compete, you don't know a thing about football, and I'm better at playing in a football team than I am at coaching one. Plus, I don't think Derek and Steve would be fit coaching a football team either, which leaves us with Danny." Violetta replied with a shrug of her shoulders.
Bernie nodded at that. "True that. Danny did say that if he messes up during the challenge, he'll take full responsibility for it and let us vote him out at the elimination ceremony. But I can't feel like that he doesn't deserve such a fate in this season. We should've let someone else be our coach for the challenge instead so that if they messed up, they would be going home instead of Danny." He sighed.
"Hey, come on, Bernie. Have a little faith in Danny. I'm sure he's trying his very best to develop a strategy to carry home the win for our team, and don't you think it's humble of him to let us vote him out if we lose because of him messing up?" Violetta asked her boyfriend, putting a hand on his shoulder.
Bernie thought about it before nodding again. "I guess you're right, Violetta. We'll just have to see how Danny's game strategy will work out for us once it's developed and set in motion." He replied as him and Violetta continued to look at Danny, who was still deep in thought as he tried to think of a strategy for the face-off.
-Confessional: Danny-
"Man, coming up with a strategy for a football related challenge is hard when you don't know a lot about the sport...But I really don't wanna let my team down during the challenge today, so I've gotta push my brain to its limit to try and crank out a good strategy for the face-off! I'm not used to this kind of pressure, in all honesty..." Danny sighed.
-End Confessional-
Meanwhile, Derek and Steve were busy conversing with each other. "So, how have you been dealing with Veronica's recent elimination?" Steve asked Derek with a curious tilt of his head.
"Pretty well. I've slept it over for a few nights, and I've come to terms with it. I already promised Veronica I was gonna win this season of Total Drama for her like she had promised me to win Total Drama Revived for me last season." Derek told him.
Steve smiled at that. "I'm glad to hear that, Derek. Even though your girlfriend's gone, you can still win this thing for her, like you said yourself. I'm hoping you'll make it far into this season to be able to accomplish that." The engineer told the naturalist.
Derek nodded at that. "Yep, I'm hoping the same here. Guess we'll just have to see how far I'm going to get in this season." He replied.
Steve nodded back. "So, how do you feel about our chances of winning this challenge?" He then asked Derek.
Derek shrugged at that. "I'm not sure. We have a 50% chance of winning, we have a 50% of losing. And if we end up losing the challenge, we have to be ready to vote someone out." He replied again.
Steve nodded at that. "Yeah. Danny said that if we lose the challenge, he'll take full responsibility for it and allow us to vote him out. It's very humble of him to do that, but I can't help but feel that he doesn't deserve to go out like that." He admitted.
"We're one step away from the merge, and obviously none of us want to go home right before the merge, but if we lose the challenge, one of us will have to go down that Walk of Shame and go home. And with only six of us remaining, it's getting harder to decide who should go home. So if Danny takes full responsibility for losing the challenge and allows us to vote him out, then that makes the decision easier, am I right?" Derek asked him.
Steve reluctantly nodded at that. "I guess you're right, Derek...But it still doesn't sit right with me." He replied.
"And I can understand that. For now, let's just try to focus on the game before we can worry about voting someone off." Derek suggested.
"Yeah, you're right. We've got a challenge to win, and we need to make sure to win the challenge before we can worry about running the voting numbers in our heads." Steve replied again.
"Good. For now, let's just wait for Danny to finish developing his strategy for the face-off." Derek concluded as Steve nodded in agreement.
-Confessional: Steve-
"The whole tactical aspect of Total Drama is just creeping into my subconscious with every challenge we play. During each challenge, I start running the numbers in my head about our chances of winning or losing a challenge, and if we end up losing a challenge, my mind starts running options about who to vote off, how many votes we'd need to vote off said person, and so on. I love it here on Total Drama, don't get me wrong. I just don't like the dirty tactical games on this show. It turns my brain into some kind of evil A.I. unit, like Airnet from Eliminator, MAL 1000 from 3001: A Space Voyage or Omegatron from the Mircale Comics and the Miracle Cinematic Universe. And I don't want my brain to be some kind of evil A.I. unit."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Derek-
"I can understand that Steve doesn't like the dirty tactical games on Total Drama. I hate them myself too, but at the end of the day, if your team ends up losing the challenge or you have made it to merge, you have no choice but to decide who to vote out of the game. It's the name of the game, and you know what they say: What's in a name?"
-End Confessional-
"Alright, coaches! You have 5 hours left to train your teams for the face-off! Keep that in mind, okay?" Chris announced.
"Guys, come here! I think I have figured out a strategy that might just win us this game!" Angela called to her team as the rest of the Suspicious Snakes made their way over to her and huddled around her to see her strategy.
"So, do you think this strategy is workable for everyone?" Angela then asked everyone.
Wendy, Calvin, Candace and Bob carefully inspected the strategy before nodding in approval. "Yeah, this is workable. We can do this." Wendy replied.
"Yeah, this'll be sure to carry home the win for our unit! Good work, Agent Angela!" Calvin agreed.
"I don't see any problem with this strategy, so let's go train this strategy!" Candace cheered.
"What the others pretty much said." Bob nodded in agreement.
"Alright, let's get around to training then!" Angela said with an excited grin as they ran onto the field to start training.
Meanwhile, Danny had also finished developing his strategy. "Guys, I think I have a strategy that'll work for the face-off! Can you all come here and check it out for a second?" Danny called his team over. The rest of the Legal Eagles then made their way over to Danny and proceeded to check his strategy.
The Legal Eagles proceeded to inspect Danny's strategy before nodding in approval. "Having a strategy is better than having no strategy at all." Bernie remarked.
"Bernie's right. You probably worked hard on this strategy, so we're going to give it a go in training." Violetta agreed.
"Let's go for it." Steve chimed in.
"Yeah, it's worth a shot." Derek chimed in as well.
Danny smiled at that. "Thanks, guys. Let's go train this strategy." He replied to his team before they ran onto the field to start training.
A montage then started of both teams training the strategies their coaches had developed for the face-off. Eventually though, it was time for the teams to stop training, because it was time for the face-off.
Chef blew on his whistle again, signaling the training time was up. "Alright, teams! Training time is up, it's now time for you guys to face off! Put on your jerseys, and let's get going!" Chris announced.
The scene then cut to both teams dressed in football jerseys and gear. The Suspicious Snakes were wearing red jerseys while the Legal Eagles were wearing yellow jerseys. Angela and Danny were on the sidelines to give their teams instructions where needed. Napoleon, Lindsay, Lightning, Jo, Sam, Sierra, Duncan, Courtney and Scott were sitting in the bleachers, acting as an audience for the challenge.
"Why do we have to act as a stupid audience for this challenge? It's not like this is a football game worth watching." Duncan complained.
"You think it's bad having to sit here and watch this stupid football game? It's even worse because we have to watch this stupid football game while handcuffed to each other!" Courtney retorted as she held up her right hand, revealing it to be cuffed to Duncan's left hand.
"Meh, I'll take it over jail any day of the week. You have no idea how bad jail can be, princess." Duncan replied back.
"Man, can y'all shut up? We're trying to watch a game here!" Lightning told them.
"Yeah, watch the game first, bicker later, Bonnie and Clyde." Jo added as Duncan and Courtney just looked forward and not saying another word to each other.
-Confessional: Duncan-
"Man, I just can't wait for this stupid season to be over so I can go back to not being around Courtney. She gets under my skin, you know?"
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Courtney-
"When this season of Total Drama is over, I'm so going to sue this show for letting me float around inside a balloon filled with fart gas for an unspecified period of time. I don't care about that stupid deal I made with Chris about being his intern for the rest of this season, I will sue his ass!"
-End Confessional-
"Alright, teams! It's time to decide which team gets to kick off this face-off with a coin toss! Chef, the coin, please!" Chris announced as Chef walked up the field, with Wendy and Violetta standing next to him.
"Heads or tails?" Chef asked Wendy.
"Tails." Wendy replied.
"A'ight, that means the Eagles get heads. Now let's see..." Chef muttered before he tossed the coin onto the field. It was tails.
"It's tails! The Snakes get to kick off this face-off!" Chef announced as he picked up the coin and walked away again. The football was standing on the middle of the field, and Calvin and Wendy were next to it.
"Alright, Agent Wendy! Give it a good kick!" Calvin told Wendy.
"Will do!" Wendy replied before she ran up to the ball and punted it into the air.
"Game on!" Lightning cheered.
"Indeed." Napoleon nodded.
The ball flew through the air as Wendy ran off to grab it, She ran to try and get the ball to the end zone before being tackled by Violetta as Steve dove onto her.
"Gah! Get off of me!" Wendy demanded as she tried to kick Steve off of her.
"You heard the girl! Get off her!" Chef shouted from the sidelines.
"Okay, Chef." Steve nodded as he got off of Wendy. The players then got back to the middle of the field, ready to play the ball again.
"Margarita, Calzone, Pepperoni, hike!" Violetta shouted before she played the ball to Steve, who kicked the ball across the field as Violetta made a run for it, trying to get the ball to the end zone.
"Sorry, Violetta. I can't let you get to the end zone." Candace told Violetta as she lunged at her, tackling her to the ground and causing her to drop the ball.
"A'ight, back to the middle of the field, y'all!" Chef called to the teams as they returned to the middle of the field with the ball.
"Calvin, Wendy! Give them a taste of our offensive strategy we trained earlier today!" Angela called to Calvin and Wendy.
"Yes, Agent Angela!" Calvin replied obediently.
"You got it!" Wendy replied as well before getting ready to play the ball once again. "One, two, derpa, derpa, hike!" She exclaimed before passing the ball to Calvin, who proceeded to run down the field like a madman, barging through Violetta and Steve's offense and Derek and Bernie's defense before diving into the end zone with the ball.
"Touchdown!" Chris and Chef exclaimed in unison as Wendy, Candace and Bob cheered. The interns clapped and cheered from the bleachers. Calvin grinned and raised his arms in victory as he sat in the end zone.
-Confessional: Calvin-
"I scored the first points of the game for my team! It felt really good to do that!" Calvin said happily, proud of himself for contributing to the challenge for his team.
-End Confessional-
"Alright, that brings the score to 6-0 for the Suspicious Snakes! Keep it up!" Chris then told the teams.
"You're doing great, guys! Keep it up!" Angela called to her team as she clapped her hands.
"Don't worry, guys! The game is still far from over! You can do this!" Danny called to his team as well.
"Alright, let's try harder, guys. No fucking around." Violetta told her teammates, who nodded in agreement.
"Before we continue on with the game, the Suspicious Snakes get a conversion! Snakes, knock yourselves out!" Chris told the Suspicious Snakes as Wendy put the ball down on the field. Calvin ran up to the ball and kicked it into the air, sending it through the goalpost as the interns cheered.
"That brings the score to 8-0 for the Suspicious Snakes! Now let's resume the game!" Chris announced.
A montage then started, showing the teams scoring touchdowns, kicking the ball through the goalposts, scuffling with each other, and so on. Eventually though, Danny proceeded to throw a yellow flag on the field.
"Oh, looks like we got a flag on the field!" Chris exclaimed.
"Let us see the replay!" Chef chimed in as a replay of what happened began to play. The replay showed Wendy aggressively tackling Bernie to the ground, breaking his glasses. Both teams, as well as those sitting in the bleachers were shocked.
"Yep, that looks like roughhousing to me! 10 yard penalty!" Chef then called.
-Confessional: Wendy-
"I admit that I went a bit too hard on Bernie with that tackle, but he was carrying the ball, so I did what I thought I had to do in order to prevent him from getting that ball to the end zone. It's Total Drama, after all. Don't expect a walk in the park during challenges."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Bernie-
Bernie's right eye was blackened from Wendy's aggressive tackle. "After Veronica broke my only pair of glasses I brought with me to Pahkitew Island last season, I came prepared for this season in case my glasses were to get broken again." He explained as he took off his broken glasses and pulled out a new pair of glasses and put it on his face. "I brought about 5 extra pairs of glasses for this season, since I expect this season's going to be much rougher on me than the previous one. Gotta be prepared when you sign up for a dangerous show like this."
-End Confessional-
"Alright, the score is currently 86-80 for the Suspicious Snakes! This penalty won't be enough to win the Eagles this challenge, but given Wendy's aggressive tackle from earlier, it's only fair to give the Eagles their penalty! Bernie, since you were the victim, you get to punt this ball! Knock yourself out!" Chris announced.
"Thanks, Chris." Bernie nodded as Violetta had the ball in place. Bernie then ran up to the ball and kicked it through the goalpost, bringing the final score to 86-84 for the Suspicious Snakes.
"And that's the challenge! The Suspicious Snakes win!" Chris announced as the Suspicious Snakes cheered in victory. "And Angela, since you coached the winning team, you also get the winning coach treatment! Suspicious Snakes, go ahead!" He added.
Calvin, Candace, Wendy and Bob then proceeded to drench Angela in orange sports drink as Angela laughed happily, being happy to have carried her team to victory for this challenge.
-Confessional: Angela-
"How does it feel to carry home the win for my team?! It feels so good!" Angela cheered happily.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Danny-
"Aw, man...We lost the challenge...I can't help but feel that I let down my team during the challenge today, and therefore I will keep my promise of taking full responsibility for the challenge loss and allow the others to vote me out."
-End Confessional-
The scene then cut to Chris giving the teams a debrief. "Congratulations, Suspicious Snakes! You won the challenge, and have therefore also won a reward! Remember when I said the team who won the face-off would go to the championships? Well, I meant that literally! The reward for winning this challenge is going to tonight's championship game of the CFL between the Toronto Argonauts and the Calgary Stampeders! I shall be joining you as soon as I've taken care of tonight's elimination ceremony!" Chris told the Suspicious Snakes as they once again cheered.
The Legal Eagles were bummed out, as they once again had to return to the elimination ceremony and vote out another one of their members. "As for you, Legal Eagles, I need you to select someone to send down the Walk of Shame and into the Lame-o-sine tonight. See you at the Gilded Chris Ceremony." Chris told the Legal Eagles.
-Confessional: Steve-
"I know that Danny said he wants to take responsibility for the loss of today's challenge, but it still doesn't sit right with me to send Danny packing like this. So I think I'll be voting for somebody else instead.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Napoleon-
"We have to vote off someone, so I hope there are no hard feelings towards this vote."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Bernie-
"I'm only making this vote because I can't vote for Wendy."
-End Confessional-
The scene then cut to the Gilded Chris Ceremony at night. Chris was once again wearing his white tuxedo while Chef stood next to him in his pink glitter outfit. "Legal Eagles, we're one elimination ceremony away from the merge, and I'm sure all of you would like to go through to the merge, but unfortunately, you have to get rid of one more team member before that can happen. As per usual, you've all cast your votes and made your decision. When I call your name, you may stand up and I will give you your Gilded Chris. If you don't receive a Gilded Chris, then you must immediately make your way down the Walk of Shame, step inside the Lame-o-sine, and leave the film lot. And you can't come back. Ever." Chris monologued to the Legal Eagles.
"Gilded Chris Awards go to...Napoleon, Steve, Violetta and Derek." Chris told the aforementioned contestants as he tossed them their Gilded Chris Awards, which they promptly caught. It was now down to Danny and Bernie.
"Danny, you're on the chopping block for letting your team down during the challenge today, and Bernie, you're on the chopping block because...uh...Whatever, the person going home tonight is Danny!" Chris finished as he tossed Bernie his Gilded Chris Award, which he caught.
"Thanks for everything, guys. I'm sorry I let you down during the challenge today. The least I could do to make up for that is take responsibility for our loss and go home. At least I'll be reunited with Rooney soon, so all's well that ends well, am I right? Good luck in the merge." Danny told the other members of the Legal Eagles with a humble smile before getting up from his seat and walking down the Walk of Shame towards the Lame-o-sine.
As Danny reached the Lame-o-sine, the window rolled down, revealing Rooney sitting inside. "Hey, Danny! Sorry you got voted out, man!" Rooney greeted Danny.
"Rooney! I'm so glad to see you again!" Danny beamed before stepping inside the Lame-o-sine. "Take care, guys!" Danny then told the others as him and Rooney waved at them and the Lame-o-sine took off, leaving the film lot.
Steve frowned as he watched the Lame-o-sine leave the film lot with Danny and Rooney inside, and the others took notice of this. "Come on, Steve. Lighten up a little bit. Danny was eliminated in the most humble way possible and he accepted his fate. I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted you to feel bad for his elimination when he's content with it." Violetta told Steve as she placed a hand on his back.
Derek nodded in agreement. "She's right, dude. Sure, it stinks that him being eliminated like this doesn't sit right with you, but we gotta carry on. So come on, big smile." He chimed in.
Steve smiled at that and nodded. "You're right, guys. I shouldn't feel bad for Danny's elimination when he's content with it and accepted it. And like he said, he's reunited with Rooney once again, so it's probably all good. Let's head back to the trailers now." He said as him and the remaining members of the Legal Eagles left the bleachers.
Chris and Chef watched as they left before looking at each other. "Hey, I'm gonna go get changed, because I'll be heading to the championship game with the Snakes now. I can trust you to take care of the Eagles while I'm gone?" Chris asked Chef.
Chef grinned sadistically. "Fo 'sho, Chris. I'll take care of 'em like my drill sergeants took care of me and the boys at boot camp." He replied.
"That's what I like to hear. Later, dude." Chris replied as he left the stage, leaving Chef by himself and the episode ended.
