Disclaimer: I don't own Jimmy, Cindy, the Candy Bar, Purple Flurp, or anything else related to Jimmy Neutron that has been mentioned in this story. I just own the plot.
"Cindy?"
The sound of Jimmy's voice startled Cindy, almost causing her to fall backwards off of the bench she was sitting on.
"Jimmy! Don't scare me like that!" she said.
"Sorry," he replied, sitting next to her.
"What are you doing here, anyway?" she asked.
"I, um, I heard about what happened," he said. "I thought that, you know, you could use some cheering up or something like that."
"No, I'm fine, really," she told him, giving him a small half-smile. "I really didn't like Shawn all that much in the first place."
"Why did he turn you down, anyway?" Jimmy asked. "I mean, you're really pr- really popular. Half the guys in the school want to go out with you." He sighed, relieved. He had almost said that he thought she was pretty.
"Oh, he said something about me not being sincere enough or some junk like that," she said, sighing and looking up at the sky.
"Well, um, if it means anything to you, I think you're sincere," Jimmy said quietly.
"Thanks, Neutron," Cindy said, a small smile crossing her lips. "Anyway, I'd better get home. It's getting late." She rose to leave.
"Wait, um, Cindy?" he said hesitantly. She turned around.
"Yeah?"
"I've got a couple dollars, you know, in my pocket. If you want, well, the Candy Bar is right there. I could get you some Purple Flurp if you want. It's just a suggestion, I mean, if you would rather just go home or something it's okay, you won't hurt my feelings or anything. I just thought that, um, you might like some, because of, well, you know, what happened and all, but it was just an offer, it's really okay if you don't want any…." Jimmy knew that he was babbling, but he couldn't seem to stop. Cindy giggled a little.
"Jimmy, calm down. You're buying me soda, not asking me out."
Jimmy blushed a little. "Oh, I know, it's just, well, you know, I don't, um, well, oh, urg, never mind!" Jimmy said, flustered.
Cindy walked over and stood by the door of the Candy Bar. "Well? Aren't you going to open the door for me?"
"Oh, of course," Jimmy said, pulling the door open and bowing. "Ladies first, Miss Vortex."
"Thank you, Sir Neutron," she replied, pretending to curtsey and walking through the open door. Jimmy watched her, wondering what kind of idiot someone would have to be to turn down Cindy. He knew that if she asked him out… not that that would ever happen, of course… but all the same….
"Jimmy! What's taking you so long?" Cindy called.
Jimmy shook his head, getting his thoughts back to the present, and followed her inside.

Megan: So, What did you think? Should I write the story that this goes to, or did it suck so bad that I shouldn't even consider writing the story? Tell me! And then I'll hunt you down and sing my clicky song!
OP: Don't you mean or I'll hunt you down and sing my clicky song?
Megan: Hey, you stay out of this!
OP: *sees all of the people reading this* Hi! I'm Oralixa Pandora! You can call me OP. I'm the mind behind all of Megan's sanity. See, I write all the non-crazy stuff and she takes credit for it. Anything crazy is all her work.
Megan: Yay! I'm crazy! *eats 10 gallons of ketchupy milk*
OP: That's not crazy, that's just... gross.
