Chloe's eyes were hollow and lifeless as she watched the rosewood casket being lowered into the cold, hard ground. Cold and hard, just like he had always been. Just like he had made her become. She felt no remorse from his death, no sorrow. The bastard had stolen the best years of her life, and now she was finally free.
Her cold eyes, which once were filled with life and happiness, were now lifeless and hollow. Because of stolen dreams, never to come true. Dreams he had stolen, when he had stolen her life from her.
The air was filled with sobs as friends and family began to place flowers on the grave. But Chloe didn't cry. Not for him.
He was finally gone from her life…forever.

"Chloe!" Belle called frantically, running towards her, eyes red. "Chloe!" "What?!" "He's dead. He drove drunk. And now he's dead. They said he was Dead On Arrival. He couldn't have been saved."

Chloe brushed a single tear from her cheek as the casket was slowly lowered into the freshly dug ground. She couldn't control the pain she was feeling. He had been the best thing that had ever happened to her, and now he was gone.
Her body felt numb all over, she couldn't feel. Especially her heart.

"Chloe." Belle sobbed into the phone. "What's wrong Belle?" Chloe asked anxiously, panic evident in her voice. "He was in an accident…they tried to save him…but they couldn't. They said he was DOA." Chloe clutched the receiver, trying to comprehend the horrible words Belle was say. DOA meant Dead On Arrival. That couldn't be true.
"I'm so sorry Chloe. The doctors tried. But he's gone." Chloe dropped the phone, trying to keep her friend's words away. If she didn't hear them, then they couldn't be true.
She fell to her knees, a sob escaping her throat. She pulled her head to her chest, trying to hold back her tears.
