Authors Notes: I was in such a creative headspace and I managed to produce this chapter extremely fast. And just wait things are going to get a lot more intense soon!

"God damn it you were supposed to miss him by a bit!" one of the men complained.

"Shut up Dave. Gregory!" the man called.

"What Barnaby?" Gregory asked, coming out of the trailer.

The other men slowly stepped away as Barnaby stood over Henry.

"What the fuck?" Gregory gasped.

Gregory carried Henry into the building and set him on a table.
"Harriet get the alcohol and morphine!" Gregory called.
Gregory inspected and discovered that the bullets only grazed him.

"Kid's lucky that Oaf missed his stomach," Gregory mumbled.

Harriet rushed out and set the morphine and alcohol on the table. Gregory quickly filled a syringe with morphine and injected Henry with it. Then he grabbed a cloth and poured some alcohol on it and pressed it on Henry's side.

"That oaf Barnaby," Gregory mumbled as he checked to see if the bleeding stopped. The bleeding had stopped and Gregory began to wrap the wound with medical elastic tape, "Causing me to waste the good bandages on a kid."

He proceeded to set Henry down in a medical stretcher and left to tell off Barnaby.

"Well look what we have here," Barnaby chuckled as he stood over Hazel and Mary.

"Barnaby," Gregory scowled, "Do you want to explain why I had to treat a kid with a gunshot wound?"

Barnaby saw how furious Gregory was and looked nervous.

"I said explain!" Gregory screamed.

"It was just meant to be a scare tactic," Barnaby babbled.

"A scare tactic! And yet you shot close enough to him to cause actual damage!" Gregory fumed, "You've been a pain in my side for far too long."

"Wait please it was an accident!" Barnaby pleaded.

Gregory grabbed Barnaby's face and bashed his head into the nearby tree. Barnaby fell down and tried to crawl away, but Gregory got on top of him and started punching him. Mary and Hazel watched in horror as he wailed on him.

Gregory got up panting and said, "John throw him in the trunk if he doesn't die by nightfall I'll save him.'

"What about the kids?" John asked.

"Just lock them in the room with that boy Barnaby shot," Gregory instructed.

John grabbed Hazel and Mary and took them to the room where Henry was.

"The rest of you!" Gregory exclaimed, "Find the kid's group and bring them here. Go for the legs with some gaslighting they could be of use."

Mary and Hazel were thrown in the room with the door slamming behind them. They could hear the lock clicking as they rushed over to Henry.

"Oh god," Mary gasped.

They saw his face was pale and ghostly before their attention snapped to the fresh blood on his shirt.

"We have to get outta here!" Mary whispered.

"We can't, Henry won't make it ten feet out there like this," Hazel replied.

"You know what we have to do then," Mary told her.

"We're not leaving him behind!" Hazel argued.

"Look I don't want to either, but we're not really in the position to choose right now," Mary responded.

Suddenly the door flew open and they saw Gregory.

"Listen, I just want to know where our food is. If you tell me I promise not to kill more than two of them," Gregory explained.

"Fuck off," Mary told him.

"Wow that's wow," Gregory chuckled pulling out his knife, "Unfortunately that's only going to make me increase the number of your people I kill."

Gregory took a rag out of his pocket and started to polish it.

"You see that was a lot of food and at the moment my group isn't fairing too well," Gregory explained, "So I shall remind you I'm not playing games!"

Gregory held the knife to Mary's throat and pointed his gun at Hazel.

"Don't make me kill you," Gregory said, "I don't want to kill a kid, but if it means my people don't die then it's a sacrifice I'll have to make."

Gregory kicked Mary in the gut and threw Hazel against the wall.

"Fine!" he groaned, "Amelia organize and send search parties! But I will inform you that because of your uncooperative behavior every one of them will be either killed or brought back here to be killed in front of you."

The door slammed and they heard the lock click follow by footsteps walking away. Finally having a chance to look around the room undisturbed all they noticed was a small window that was too small for any of them to fit through.

"Mary?" Henry groaned opening his eyes.

"Oh thank god Henry you're okay!" Mary told him.

"I'm sorry that I was an ass," Henry coughed.

"It's okay man you're going to be okay," Mary replied.

Henry tried to sit up and groaned in pain before he gave up and laid back down. They noticed the sun was setting outside. Deciding that they should at least attempt to sleep they laid down and turned off the lantern. Then they closed their eyes in the pitch black room.

Ten hours later…

The sun shined through the window illuminating the room and waking up Hazel. She sat up and thought about the situation they were in. Once again the door flew open, but two soldiers came and grabbed Hazel and Mary. They took them to a fenced off area and kicked them to their knees.

"You sure are lucky Miles isn't here," Gregory told them, "We know your friends are hiding in that old school and if he was then he would've mowed down that little place where your friends are and killed each and every one brutally, but he isn't, I am. So instead of mowing them down and brutally killing them, we are going to sneak in and brutally kill them. While we have you two and the boy as hostages to distract them in the front. Now lock them up again we need to do some equipment checking before we do this."

The soldiers chuckled as they dragged Hazel and Mary back to their cell.

"Poor kids ain't even gonna know what hit em," John chuckled.

"What about these kids?" Dave asked.

"Dave do you not remember what we do with prisoners?" John asked.

"But they're kids," Dave replied.

"Has that stopped us before?" John asked.

"I suppose not," Dave sighed.

"Don't worry my good chap I'm sure they'll be one for you to have fun with," John assured him.

They arrived at the cell and unlocked it. John threw Hazel in while Dave dropped Mary in. John went to close and lock the door as Dave exited the room. The lock clicked and Dave and John stood guard outside the room chatting about their old favorite basketball team.

Mary filled Henry in on Gregory's plan quietly so the guards couldn't hear them.

"Oh fuck," Henry muttered, "That's not good."

"We're busting out tonight," Mary whispered.

"Do you have a death wish?" Hazel asked.

"I have a life wish," Mary snapped.

They heard John and Dave stop talking and their faces went pale. Until John suddenly burst out laughing.

"I'm hurt," Dave said.

"Mate the Lakers were rubbish even with Lebron," John chuckled.

"But Kobe was the best," Dave replied.

"He peaked back in two thousand and three, mate and after his aim was especially rubbish," John argued.

"I cannot believe what I am hearing!" Dave proclaimed.

Dave proceeded to storm off leaving John to cry from laughter by himself.

"Oh that bloke," John chuckled.

Mary started thinking of a plan to get out while John was dying of laughter outside. Eventually, Mary managed to iron out the plan and informed Hazel and Henry who agreed. When John and Dave came back from their lunch break they brought back some scraps for them.
"Get against the wall and no funny business," Dave ordered.

As John opened the door Mary jumped him and knocked him out while Hazel handled subduing Dave. Mary took John's gun and gave Dave's to Hazel.

"Hey did you hear that Amelia?" a soldier asked.

"Yeah, I did," Amelia replied, "Let's check it out."

They saw the shadows of Amelia and the soldier walking towards them. They turned the corner and Mary opened fire shooting both of them multiple times in the chest and then stabbed them in the head. Hazel was astonished and disgusted that Mary did that.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Mary asked, "C'mon let's go!"

They went into another room and opened the window. Hazel assisted Henry getting through the window while Mary had her gun aimed at the door. Once Henry was out Hazel jumped through the window.

"Mary c'mon," Hazel whispered.

Mary walked towards the window and slid through it right as Gregory opened the door.

"The kids are getting away!" Gregory shouted, "Don't let them escape."

Almost immediately after bullets started whizzing past Mary. The soldiers saw them running into the woods and ran after them. One pulled out a walkie talkie and started talking to Gregory.

"Do you want us to kill them?" the soldier asked.

"No, we need them for the distraction," Gregory replied, "Go for the legs."

"You heard the boss!" he shouted.

They were running but not as fast as they could since they had to support Henry since he was still recovering.

"We have to leave him," Mary exclaimed.

"No!" Hazel argued, "We can make it! We just have to stick together."

Another bullet came dangerously close to hitting Hazel. They slipped on a bunch of leaves and tumbled down a hill.

"Shit," Hazel groaned.

"We're going to have to shoot them when they come," Mary said.

"Just leave me you two still have a chance," Henry coughed.

"Mary get Henry I'll hold them off," Hazel instructed.

"We'll be back for you," Mary replied.

"There's no time, just go!" Hazel shouted.

Mary helped Henry get up and draped his arm over her so she could help him walk. After they had gotten up the steep hill Henry looked behind him one last time to see Hazel shooting the soldiers until one came from behind and started beating her.

"Find the rest!" Gregory shouted.

They navigated through the trees to try and find the shack, but couldn't seem to recall where it was. After aimlessly wandering for an hour or two they started to get exhausted and Mary's leg was still hurting from the fall.

"We're gonna be okay," Mary panted.

Henry was barely awake. The only thing keeping him awake was the fact that he landed on his injury and it was stinging. They eventually came across a walker and killed it. Henry had dozed off after Mary killed the walker. Mary continued to support him and after taking a break she noticed a gravel path. Realizing it must lead to some sort of building she followed it with an unconscious Henry.

Mary's vision started to blur, but she saw a stone wall and walked towards it. With what little strength she had she pushed Henry up to the top of the wall and then climbed up herself. Mary managed to slowly get Henry down safe and sound. She grabbed the wall and attempted to scale down, but she was exhausted and fell to the ground with a thud. Then she heard a bunch of footsteps running towards her, but before she could see who it was she passed out.
