Author's Notes: Alright this is a little longer than the last few chapters may have taken longer, but I feel like you will be very pleased.
"No way!" Clementine said.
Logan shot a glance at Clementine then glanced back at the people pointing guns at them.
"I know when to surrender and this seems like the time and place to do that," Logan said getting on his knees with his hands behind his head,
Clementine's bad prosthetic leg was quickly taken out by the hammer dude which quickly led to her falling over. The hammer guy quickly ran over and jumped Logan from behind.
"What were you even thinking?" he asked Clementine, "You think that you, a girl with a god awful prosthetic leg could take on three people?"
"That certainly wasn't her brightest moment," the black hair dude replied, "Even your buddy didn't assist."
"I know when to not fight," Logan replied, "Clem it's not that I didn't have faith in us. I just didn't have faith in your shit leg and y'know they have guns. You're lucky they didn't shoot you on the spot."
The people came up and grabbed them. The guy with a hammer grabbed Logan and the guy with a baseball cap grabbed Clementine.
"So I'm Logan," Logan said, "What's your name?"
"Ken," he replied.
"That's cool," Logan said.
They were being led towards the back room.
"So are we going to get a meet and greet?" Logan asked.
"We'll see," Ken whispered.
"That's not comforting," Logan mumbled nervously.
The back room was plastered with all sorts of graffiti and there was scattered bedding throughout and multiple other people.
"Hey Jerry we've talked about this man. You can express your creativity but just don't draw a penis in here," the dude said.
"Sorry Ken," Jerry muttered?
"It's fine bro," Ken replied.
"I gotta go try to find the big man, Seb can you get acquainted with our new friends here?" Ken asked.
"Alright," Seb replied.
"Where are you guys from?" Seb asked as he let go of Clementine.
"I don't want to sound pushy, but can we get a meal or something we were in a car crash literally thirty minutes ago," Logan said.
"Just answer the question," Seb muttered.
Logan paused he didn't want to tell them where the school was and he just kinda didn't assist Clem with that dumb retaliation attempt so he decided to just keep his lips sealed.
"Really, nothing? You were just running your mouth off!" Seb complained, "I'll just watch you guys until the big man gets back."
Seb pulled up a chair with a book on it and sat down. He yawned while opening it.
"I don't suppose you two have read Harry Potter?" Seb asked.
"I read the first three books back at my previous community," Logan replied.
"Ah typically the people we find haven't read it," Seb said, "Makes sense though as y'know the whole apocalypse has been going on for twelve years."
Seb put the book down and went up to Clementine.
"So how old were you when the apocalypse started?" Seb asked.
"Eight," Clementine answered.
"Six," Logan chimed.
"Time sure seems to fly when things are unstable and even more so when life isn't hectic doesn't it?" Seb chuckled.
"I'ma go over and talk to Mac for a bit, but I'll be back," Seb explained, "Please just don't do anything stupid, again."
"What the fuck was that?" Clementine asked.
"Well it seemed that Seb was trying to make conversation with us after you tried to kill him," Logan replied.
Clem glared at him.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't want to get blasted down by guns. If you didn't have that shit prosthetic they would've blown your brains out!" Logan explained.
They sat there in silence until Ken dragged the unconscious bodies of Louis, Aasim, and Maren.
"What are you going to do with us?" Clementine asked.
"Well we were going to give you guys a nice cooked meal and an actual good prosthetic leg, but after that shitshow that was you in a dumbass fashion trying to probably kill us you get the timeout corner. Like honestly you're lucky Seb didn't blast you down he's a little squeamish at confrontation," Ken explained, "But I'm genuinely curious, how the fuck did you think you could take down me, Seb, and Mac? And even if you did there are plenty of other people here as you can see. You're lucky there aren't any bad consequences to your actions so far."
The loading dock garage door of the backroom flew open. A big figure emerged from it the light was blocking them from seeing their features.
"Ken my boy we found meat!" the man chuckled.
Logan recognized that voice, it was Bob!
"Bob!" Logan called out.
"Hey Logan, what are you doing here?" Bob asked.
"Supply run," Logan replied, "We didn't know you guys were in this Walmart still."
"Ahh it's fine so why are you guys in the timeout corner?" Bob asked.
"That girl tried to fight back when we told her to surrender. Your friend here got on his knees and put his hands on his head instead of fighting back with her and we tranqed the rest," Seb informed him.
"Well in all fairness I Imagine you and Seb didn't look the most friendly and keepers of your word," Bob said, "But beating a cripple? That's just too far man."
"First of all I did do most of it, but Ken helped out as well and second of all we gave her a warning to surrender," Seb replied.
"Give her the prosthetic leg we found in the hospital we looted," Bob ordered.
"But sir, I," Seb started.
"C'mon Kenny boy are you advocating for putting a handicapped person at a disadvantage in an apocalypse?" Bob asked.
"Well no, but-," Seb scrambled for words.
"Then get her the goddamn better leg," Bob ordered.
Seb went off to get it while Bob got on his knees untied Logan and Clementine.
"Sorry about them," Bob said.
"It's fine," Logan replied.
"How do you even know this guy?" Clementine asked.
"We met in the woods," Logan told her, "Details aren't important at the moment."
"Your friends should wake up from the tranq darts soon," Bob said standing up.
Logan brushed himself off and got up and assisted Clem over to the chair.
"Well I guess I'll give you guys the tour," Bob chuckled.
Clementine and Logan followed Bob as he showed them around.
"So this was the electronics and it still generally is. We moved some shelves and everytime we find a bit of gas we put it in the generator and watch a movie," Bob explained.
He pointed to a girl with red hair in a shoulder-length ponytail and mixed green/blue eyes and said her name was Ellie.
"Poor kid lost her parents in a brutal way and got separated from her sister soon after she's been through a lot," Bob said.
Then he pointed to a girl in a black hoodie and sweatpants who wore glasses. Logan and Clem recognized as she was pointing a pistol at them earlier.
"That's Mac," Bob said she looked up and awkwardly waved at them then carried back on with reading her book.
He pointed at a kid who was white and had dark brown curly hair with a black unzipped hoodie, white t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and gray trainers and introduced him as Green.
"And you've already interacted with Ken and Seb," Bob said.
Seb had the prosthetic leg and waved Clem over to him so he could put it on her. Clem wobbled over there while Bob and Logan kept talking.
"Oh damn I forgot there's Jeff you know the amputee you guys heard getting bit when you were here last time, Kat, and Christa who are on a long distance supply run and will be back in a few days," Bob said.
"So you've got a merry band of survivors here," Logan chuckled.
"That's certainly what we try to strive for," Bob smiled, "Now let's set you guys up with some supplies and get to talking."
