Author's Notes: Here it is! We're halfway through the current arc and I believe that I made my intentions for the one-year anniversary. I plan to do a ten-chapter event that'll be the best thing that I've ever written! I'll tell you guys more about that later, for now, enjoy this chapter!

"Shit," Green coughed.
"That's a bad bite," Mac sighed.

"Oh, it's nothin'. The sex I have gets fucking wild, you know?" Green chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

Green grabbed his shirt and tied it around his stomach so it covered the bite.

"Not sure how much good that'll do you," Logan said.

"It's better than letting it bleed," Green groaned.

Several miles away Clementine and Bob were killing walkers.

"Jesus is it just me or are there far more walkers in these parts?" Bob asked.

"It's not just you," Nico responded, pointing to the corpses of walkers that the others put down.

"God damn!" Bob muttered.

"We're just getting swarmed," Nico said, "Probably from the herd that Bethany, Mary, Henry, and I encountered when we were running from the Whisperers.

"It's a shame that your group has gotten that small," Clementine sighed.

"It's not like you could've done anything about it," Nico muttered.

"Alright moving on to more important things," Bob began, "The supply caches in here are empty! No fucking food or water!"

"Goddamn it!" Ellie shouted, kicking a box.

"Only a miracle can save us now," Clementine sighed.

"Why are you guys acting all pouty?" Ellie asked, "We'll find water within the next two days probably."

"You don't get it," Bob muttered, "It's been two days and you can't survive three days without water!"

"Oh," Ellie replied, "That's not good."

While they were pondering what to do next, Logan, Mac, and Green were making their way to Alexandria to try and meet up with the others.

"So you're sure about this?" Mac asked.

"Have some goddamn faith!" Logan replied.

Amidst their arguing Green fell on his knees.

"Shit," Green coughed.

Logan and Mac ran over to him.

"You can't leave me like this man," Mac choked, "We've been through so many good times, and sure there may have been a bunch of bad times recently, mostly the no food or sleep for either of us."

"I can barely walk," Green sputtered, "You're going to have to put me down."

"We don't have any ammo for the gun though," Logan interjected.

"Damn this shit's going to be more painful for both of us then," Green coughed.

"I'll do it," Logan sighed.

"Are you sure?" Mac asked.

"You've known him for years, it's going to be hard on you. I've only known him for about two or three weeks," Logan responded, "You might want to stand over there Mac."

Mac walked a few yards in the direction that they were going and waited.

"Thank you, Logan," Green wheezed, "And give my hoodie to Mac."

Green handed Logan his black hoodie before getting down on his knees. Logan put the hoodie over his shoulder and then took out his knife and raised it.

"Just do it," Green begged, spitting up blood.

Logan thrust his knife into Green's skull and for good measure did it a few more times. Green's corpse slumped to the ground with a thump. Logan dragged Green's body into the bushes so it could be somewhat buried in branches. He walked over to Mac who was crying.

"We should keep moving," she sniffled

"Yeah," Logan agreed.

They walked for two hours with neither of them saying a word the whole time. A mix of sorrow and regret loomed over them.

Meanwhile, Clementine and Bob were still panicking over the water issue.

"Alright, there has to be a river or even a small ass stream somewhere!" Bob assured them, "If we fan out we'll be able to find it!"

Everyone split into groups of two and set off on their way to find a source of water. Mary and Henry walked through the woods searching desperately for a river or even a stream.

Their desperation didn't help since fifteen minutes later they were still searching.

"You're fucking kidding me there's nothing!" Mary complained.

"Could be worse," Henry told her, "We could've been eaten by something."
"You mean by a walker," Mary corrected.

"Nope by something," Henry affirmed, "Y'know bears are still a thing right?"

"When was the last time you've seen a fucking bear?" Mary asked chuckling, "Or any of the animals that your precious fucking bears eat?"

"It certainly has been a while," Henry laughed.

They stopped for a second to scan the horizon and decided to turn around and admit defeat.

"Y'know seeing as we might die from dehydration soon I think it's time I told you something," Henry said.

"What is it?" Mary asked.

"Remember those days we'd spend on the clock tower at Ericson's?" Henry asked.

"Of course those were some of the most fun times since Riverside was attacked," Mary replied.

"Yeah those times were great, and I realized something," Henry stuttered, "I want us to be more than friends."

"Yeah sure, I'd like that," Mary smiled.

A wide grin spread across Henry's face.

They arrived back at the cabin where several other groups were already back.

"Did you find anything?" Clementine asked.

"Nope," Henry answered.

"Shit," Clementine muttered, "We're really at the end of the line. All the shit we've been through just to die from not being able to find water."

Clementine walked back over to Bob and talked to him.

"Shit," Bob shouted, "We're out of fucking options!"

A few minutes later and everyone was back except for Nico and Aj. Clementine was about to send some people to look for them when they came running out of the woods.

"Guys!" Nico shouted, "We found a river! Follow us!"

Nico started running back towards the river and everyone quickly followed.

After a few minutes, they were there. On the edge of the land, they crouched down and started drinking the water.

"Oh thank god!" Bob chuckled.

"I've never been more thankful for water in my entire life," Clementine said.

Everyone finished drinking the water and started filling whatever containers they had with water.

"Alright we're all good to go," Bob said, "If we run as long as we can then we should make it to that town down the river before nightfall."
