Author's Notes: Alright I've been working on the next few chapters a while so there will be another posted tomorrow!
Mac saw that Logan was drenched in blood as he climbed up the stairs.
"What the fuck happened!?" Mac asked.
"Nothing," Logan answered, "Just took care of a loose end. Speaking of which, unless you'd like to be even more traumatized, I'd stay away from the railing."
A loud groan came from down below and Mac walked over to the railing and looked down.
"Oh my god," Mac gagged, looking at Maren's corpse.
"Yeah, I know right," Logan chuckled, "Rivals the shit that Miles did to Gregory!"
"How could you do that!?" Mac asked, "She was a person!"
"She fucked us over several times! She was too dangerous to be left alive! Not to mention that she was working against us at every turn!" Logan shouted.
"That's no excuse for butchering a living person! KIlling is fine, but to butcher them slowly is fucking inhumane! You can't say it wasn't painful for Maren when you severed her leg!" Mac yelled.
"Don't give me the high road shit!" Logan fumed, "You would've done the same thing to the guy who killed Ken!"
"That's besides the point!" Mac refuted, "How do I know you won't kill me next?"
"Because you weren't responsible for making me an orphan, killing Lukas, Hazel, Seb, and god knows how many else!" Logan replied.
Mac turned and walked out.
"Where are you going!?" Logan asked.
"I'd be safer on my own at this point," Mac told him.
"Are you trying to get us both killed!?" Logan asked, "Leaving me and going out there will get us both killed! You'll never find Alexandria and reunite with Bob and the other people from your group!"
"They're good people, but Bob's leadership has gone downhill," Mac muttered, "I'm sorry to say this but it's true when Bob let your group walk out of the Walmart that day it doomed us. Your shit got Seb, Green, Ken, and so many others killed."
"Please I'm begging you don't do this," Logan cried, "Don't leave me alone with my thoughts!"
Mac walked out of the mall and Logan watched her disappear into the forest.
"Fuck!" Logan screamed, punching the wall.
He stormed back into the mall and went downstairs to where Maren was.
"I can't believe she only noticed the leg," Logan chuckled looking down at his work, "And why can't you die already! I mean some respect for taking all those stab wounds and missing leg, but jesus fuck you whiny repulsive little maggot!"
Logan took the gun Maren had and shot her in the neck with it.
"Death is too easy for you; it's better that you turn into a walker," Logan muttered.
He ran to the Trader Joe's with Maren's backpack and stocked up on food. Everything that wasn't perishable was stuffed in the backpack. He saw the outline of something in a pocket of the backpack. Logan was surprised to see it was a well preserved map.
"That explains how Maren found her way here," Logan said to himself, "Alright time to head off to Alexandria."
Logan left the mall and glanced at the direction Mac disappeared in and then set out towards the highway.
Things in Lexington weren't great. Nico, Bethany, Aj, and Louis were the first ones so far to have contracted illnesses from the river water.
"Shit," Nico groaned.
"Tell me about it," Bethany muttered.
"At least the water didn't get in your nose or the brain eating amoebas could be killing you right now," Ellie chuckled.
Louis vomited right as Ellie said that.
"Was that because of you being a wimp about the amoebas or are you sick?" Ellie asked.
"We're talking about Louis, it could be both," Willy chuckled.
"You guys are assholes!" Louis coughed.
"Well luckily for us there is still water here so we don't need to go through this again," Bob smiled.
Three days later. Bob threw a crate of water bottles on a table.
"Someone give one to Louis," Clementine ordered.
Willy quickly ran a bottle over to Louis who had really deteriorated over the last few days.
"Shit," Louis coughed, "This sucks ass!"
"Yeah probably should've mentioned the other diseases and shit you could get from bad water," Ellie muttered.
"Yes you should have," Louis groaned.
The sound of a roaring engine quickly tore their attention away from Louis.
"That's not any of ours is it?" Bethany asked.
"Who the fuck would it be everyone is in here dipshit," Ellie quipped.
The sudden crash spooked them more and they quickly ran out to investigate.
Clementine and Henry ran out and found the car flipped over and the driver impaled on a steel pole a few feet away from the car.
"Oh fuck," the driver panicked.
His solid white shirt and pants were drenched in blood and oil and his black hair was patted down with sweat. He glanced over and noticed Clementine and Henry.
"Please help," he begged, "I'm on a scouting mission from Alexandria."
"So you know the fastest way there?" Henry asked.
"Of course," he coughed, "If you could just help me up."
They went over to him and lifted him up. He screamed in pain as they got him off of the pole.
"My name's Gideon by the way," he mumbled, clearly delirious from the blood loss.
"Shit we need to stop his bleeding quickly," Henry said.
Henry carefully laid Gideon on a table and called over Nico and Bethany to stop the bleeding.
"How are we supposed to stop this all the blood on his body is basically on his shirt!" Nico proclaimed.
"Ruby could've done it," Willy interjected.
"Well she's dead! She's been dead since Gregory attacked the school!" Aasim cried.
"Everyone except Nico and Bethany go outside and kill the walkers that are coming!" Clementine ordered.
The walkers were pouring out of the woods.
"Shit!" Bob muttered, looking at the walkers.
They started slashing the walkers while Nico and Bethany treated Gideon.
