Author's Notes: Alright I'm aware this has taken a lot longer than the 'week' I said it would take, but y'know life got hectic anyway I've come up with interesting story arcs for the future so this won't be the last story arc. So please enjoy this chapter!

Logan and Gideon were speeding towards Lexington at a fast pace.
"Are you sure that we should be driving this fast?" Logan asked.

"I'm sure," Gideon replied.

"So how'd you meet them anyway?" Logan asked.

"They found me after my car crash," Gideon answered.

"You crashed a fucking car recently and you're driving this one at one hundred miles per hour!" Logan shouted.

"Now hold on!" Gideon refuted, "I'm not stupid, I know that I should be careful. That's why I'm going forty miles faster than I was when I crashed."

"What the fuck kind of logic is that!?" Logan panicked.

They saw a flipped over bus in the distance that was completely blocking the road, but Gideon wasn't slowing down.

"Dude there's a flipped over bus! Stop the car!" Logan said.

"Nah we're fine," Gideon replied.

"Stop the fucking car!" Logan shouted.

"Don't shout at me asshole!" Gideon scoffed, "We'll find a way around it."
"It's completely blocking the road!" Logan yelled.

Gideon stepped on the acceleration, they were going about one hundred fifty miles per hour now.

"Stop the fucking car!" Logan screamed.

"I'm not gonna indulge your little tantrum," Gideon muttered.

"We're going to fucking crash into it!" Logan argued.

Logan quickly lifted his leg over to step on the brake. Gideon slapped him and spun the wheel. The car turned ninety degrees and then flipped over a few times and hit the bus with a loud clang.

The car was flipped on its side so Logan had to climb out. He got out of the car and collapsed, coughing blood. Logan noticed that he had some injuries from the crash. Mostly a huge gash across his chest from a piece of metal he landed on. All he knew about Gideon's injuries was that he was still unconscious in the car. Logan tried to start walking but collapsed. He saw a bright light as he passed out.

A few miles away Clementine and Bob had encountered a problem. All the roads were completely blocked by car pile ups and there was no way around. The van and cargo trailer were sitting in the middle of the road.

"Fuck!" Bob muttered.

"So that's it?" Clementine asked, "All this way to Alexandria and we're giving up?"

"Unless everyone can move enough of these piled up cars for us to get through," Bob replied.

"That sounds too dangerous, there has to be another way somewhere," Clementine said.

"I've been here before the apocalypse. There are trees all around and no gaps big enough to get the cargo trailer through. Also if this road is screwed then there's no hope for the highway," Bob informed her, "There's also the herd of walkers that we passed that's definitely coming in our direction after we sped past them."

"Yeah those things have a longer attention span than Aj," Ellie chuckled.

"We could always go on foot and carry our supplies," Bob suggested.

"We hit the jackpot of supplies in that military camp. If we walk that means that we're ditching the majority of that," Clementine protested.

"Fuck so what are we supposed to do?" Aj asked, after he eavesdropped.

"Aj no swearing," Clementine replied, "And we'll try to move it. Go get everyone!"

Aj went over to where everyone was and got them.

"Alright, listen everyone!" Clementine proclaimed, "We need everyone to push some cars aside so we can get through! Unless you guys want to walk while carrying several pounds of supplies! Also if you could be quick that's great since there's a herd definitely coming towards us."

Henry and Mary went over to the left side and tried to maneuver the flipped over car.

"Alright a car weighs almost three thousand pounds," Mary muttered.

"We could get everyone to cooperate on this one since there are twelve of us," Henry suggested.

"Oh yeah, the power of friendship will give you the strength to move the cars?" Ellie laughed.

"Unless you have an Albert Einstein level idea, I don't know what you expect us to do," Mary argued.

"I do in fact," Ellie chuckled, "We wedge something under it and then push down, so it'll flip the car right side up and easier to get off the road."

"How are we going to find a branch that can support three thousand pounds?" Henry asked.

"Uhh, I guess I don't have a plan then," Ellie muttered.

Several miles away Logan was waking up. A doctor was shining a flashlight in his eyes.

"Ah the fuck?!" Logan asked.

He sat up and noticed there were a bunch of other people all dressed in black and red uniforms and that he was in a military transport truck.

"Oh shit!" Logan panicked, "Are you guys cannibal cultists!?"

"No," a soldier replied, "Why would you think such a thing?"

"It's been a long few weeks," Logan told them.

He sank back down onto the sleeping bag and felt the medical bandages constricting him and groaned.

"We'll get you to our city to be checked out soon," the doctor explained, "We just have to check out a tip that one of our outpost lookouts called in."

"Do you know what happened to the guy I was with?" Logan asked.

"Yeah, doc looked at him and saw he had a concussion from a car crash that he estimated happened about four days ago and then injuries from this current one," a soldier replied.

They saw a herd of walkers in the distance ambling away from them.

"Let's pick up some speed!" a soldier shouted, "We don't want them to bite out the tires."

A minute later the sight of a cargo trailer came into view and seconds later a van. Several people trying to push a single car were there. The soldiers quickly jumped out without their assault rifles.

"Hello friends," a soldier greeted.

"It seems you guys need some help," another soldier chimed.

Logan gathered the strength to get up and see who the people were. To his surprise it was his friends. He quickly got out and limped over.

"Henry!" Logan called out, "Mary, Nico, Louis!"

Henry ran up and hugged him, followed by Mary, Nico, and Bethany.

"We thought you died!" Henry gasped.

"Maren certainly tried," Logan chuckled.

"What happened?" Mary asked.

"Maren shot me as a herd approached and I fell off the side of the steep hill. The cabin cultists found me and did some things that will haunt me forever, but I escaped and have been wandering. I found Mac and Green, but Green died and Mac left after I killed Maren then it was some more wandering for a week," Logan explained.

"You guys are more than welcome to join the community if you want," the doctor offered.

Clementine watched from a distance and knew that if they had impressive weapons and could fuel a huge military truck that it would be a good home for Aj and the rest of the kids. Bob recognized one of the soldiers.

"Holy shit," Bob muttered, "Dan!"

The soldier with long black hair turned around.

"Bob?" he asked.

"I thought you were dead!" Bob chuckled.

"I thought you and my brother were dead!" Dan laughed, "Where is the bastard?"

"Mike died on the first night of the outbreak," Bob sighed, "The military sent us in to put down anything that moved, but they still dropped bombs. He was blown to bits, he turned and I put him down."

"Fuck!" Dan shouted, "He always joked that he'd outlive me on the beaches of Afghanistan or in Iraq. I never thought he'd die by such a cheap shot."

"Alright! If we're done playing catch up there's a fucking herd on its way!" the soldier behind the wheel shouted.

Everyone quickly clambered into the back of the truck. It sped off as soon as they were in it. The herd of walkers quickly reappeared and they were on the road.

"Fuck," the driver muttered, "Everyone close your mouth and cover your eyes, unless you want to get walker guts in your eyes."

The driver quickly sped up and two seconds later the truck was plowing through walkers. The truck was being jostled and slightly sliding from all the blood and guts that were starting to cover the wheels. Luckily the end of the herd was within sight and soon they would be out of it.

"Alright everyone say bye to the herd if you want or some shit," the driver muttered, "I honestly don't give two fucks anymore."

The next twenty minutes passed in a deafening silence until they reached the community. There were huge gates that opened up and let them in. Clementine was in awe of how nice the community was. It had buildings that were in good condition and a massive greenhouse.

"You guys are lucky we're almost at max capacity," Dan chuckled.

"Yeah we really hit the jackpot finding this," Bob chuckled.

Clementine and her group sat at a picnic table near the place that they were being housed.

"Seems like a nice place," Louis chuckled, "I even heard they have hot running water here!"

"Let's not get carried away we don't know if we're staying yet," Clementine whispered.

"Why would we not stay?" Aasim asked, "This place is perfect and I don't want to be moving from place to place with no certain source of food or water."

"This place is perfect for now, but the day will come when it won't be," Clementine replied.

While Clementine talked to the original Ericson survivors, Logan talked to his group. Nico, Bethany, Henry, and Mary who were certainly worn and changed by the journey.

"We lost some people along the way but we are finally safe. A nice sustainable place for us to stay," Logan smiled, "I mean don't get me wrong Ericson's was nice, but living off merely what little Louis and Aasim could find hunting wasn't good enough, especially when the animals move out of the area, because of a herd."

Clementine overhead that and walked over.

"You aren't seriously thinking about staying in the long term are you?" she asked.

Why the fuck wouldn't I?" Logan asked.

"This place isn't safe," Clementine answered.

"Bob thinks so," Logan refuted.

"Bob is biased because his old friend is here," Clementine scoffed.

"Better here than Ericson's," Logan quipped.

"We're going to have to agree with Logan," Louis and Aasim interjected.

"Thank you guys," Logan exclaimed.

"We actually have a potential future here," Bob agreed.

"Alright fine, but don't say I didn't warn you when everything goes to shit." Clementine said sternly.

"We're definitely totally prepared for that even though it won't happen," Aasim promised, "And I'm a little confused on why you're bringing these concerns up now. Especially since you of all people wanted to get to Alexandria. How is this place any different?"

"This place is different, because none of us have been here before, at least with Alexandria they were allied with Riverside," Clementine told him.

Eventually Clementine conceded the argument and agreed to stay, for a while at least. They were shown the rooms and they were divided into men's and women's. Henry, and I got put in a room with some other kid named Harold.

Logan collapsed on the bed which was in surprisingly good condition. His eyes slammed shut from the longest day he's ever had.
