Protectors of the Realm
in The Fastest Hunter
At the Royal Palace, the guards are trying to capture the Protectors by order of the Young Royals. Both Mike and Tom avoided the guards' attacks and Mike kicked their feet which made them fall down to the ground.
Dillion and Zeke stand each other back to back as they clashed their swords with the guards as they made contact to each other, and Sienna dove and knocked down the guards.
"Get them! Get them! Get them!" yelled Gawayne. But the Protectors never give in to those guards, they just easily took them down.
"Alright guys, let's get out of here." said Mike, so they got on their hoverbikes and drove off, leaving Gawayne to growl in anger as he began to throw a tantrum by jumping up and down in exasperation.
At the Young Royals mansion, Gawayne told them everything about what happened today.
"And if you can't catch those Protectors John," said Gawayne. "then you better find someone who can!" he said.
"Gawayne, that's what we're gonna do." John said to Gawayne. "We're gonna hire, the fastest bounty hunter in the Realm." he said, but what they didn't know is that the Protectors heard everything outside of the mansion, and that idea made them shiver in fear.
A bounty hunter came skating down to Power City, he wears a cowboy hat, wears a black shirt with a brown vest, blue jeans, and wears black boots that can also be used as skates. And his name is Benny Runner.
Then Benny came to the Young Royals' mansion, much to their surprise, and he deactivated his skates after he skated toward them.
"Howdy gents." greeted Benny. "Name's Benny Runner, my card." he said, and he handed his card to John.
"Benny Runner. Bounty hunter for hire." John read the card. Then Benny took out his laser blasters.
"That's right, I'm the fasted bounty hunter in all of Gemina. I can shoot any bozo that comes looking for trouble." Benny twirled his blasters, until Steven smacked him in the head to stop.
"Stop wasting time, and get those Protectors!" John ordered.
At Power City, the Protectors and Benny slowly walked toward each other, like one of those western shows. They kept walking toward each other, and once they were close enough. They took out their weapons, but Benny's pants fell down since his blasters are stuck in the holsters.
"Wa-hoo!" yelled Zeke, then the Protector's began to laugh as Benny covered himself and he began to pull his pants back up. Then Benny began to blast them, but the Protectors avoided the lasers, and they went to the alley, but Benny skated after them.
And once he made it to the alley, the Protectors disappeared. Until he spotted a door slowly closed, Benny smirked and he went to the door. He thinks that the Protectors are smart enough to hide behind the door.
"Here I come Protectors." said Benny. Then he slowly opened the door quietly. But then, Zeke and Tom appeared behind him, and Benny turned and spotted them in surprise. Then Zeke removed Benny's hat and Tom hit him in the head with the handle of his sword and he fell down, and the two flee into the door.
But Benny followed then and he spotted the Protectors going down the basement.
"I gotcha now ya varmits." said Benny.
"Oh, no you didn't." said Dillon and he turned off the lights. But Benny went back up and turned the lights on again so he can see where the Protectors were and he went back down.
But Dillon turned them off again, so the two kept at it for a while. Until Dillon crossed his arms and looked away in a huff.
"Drat," Benny growled, so he went back upstairs and turned off the lights. But for the room being dark, he fell down the stairs. Once the lights were turned back on, Benny was lying on the ground groaning in pain, until Mike in him with a mattress.
"I'll get you for this!" Benny yelled, as he skated after the Protectors.
"Y'know, it would be better if we know who he is," said Zeke.
"Don't worry, Bobby is still looking it him up." said Mike. Then Bobby found Benny's glyph.
"His name's Benny Runner, he calls himself the fastest bounty hunter in the Realm." Bobby explained.
"That explains why he's a quick shooter." Tom spoke.
But then Benny skated right past them, until he's in front of the Protectors and he starts blasting them. But the Protectors dodged the lasers, and Sienna made herself and the others vanish, and Benny growled in anger.
"Well, that won't stop my drone." Benny smirked as he took out a remote, then he pressed a button and small orb-like drones came out of his belt. Then he pressed another button to scan for some heat signatures.
The drones scanned the area to find them. They searched until they spotted the Protectors, who are behind Benny. Then the drones started to fire, but the Protectors avoided the shots and the shots blasted Benny instead, causing him to scream in pain and he got away.
Later Benny is at Drake City, since the city has the most Protector sightings when they're fighting Brax. So Benny decided to blow them up with a bomb.
"Now let's see if you can get out of this." said Benny and he activated the bomb that is set for 30 seconds.
But what he didn't know, is that the Protectors are behind him, and Mike conjured up a fireball, and it soon followed Benny.
When Benny felt something warm behind him, he turned and saw the fireball in shock, he ran for his life, but the fireball began to chase him. Until he spotted a pool where the Young Royals usual visit, so he jumped in and the fireball soon went into the pool which put itself out. Benny sighed in relief, until he spotted the Young Royals next to the pool, and the bomb has three seconds left, he tried to disarm it but it was too late and the it exploded, which destroyed the pool.
When the smoke clears, the Young Royals are covered in soot. Then John took out Benny's card that it destroyed, until Benny who is also covered in soot came to them offering them another card.
"Spare card." Benny sheepishly smiled. But the Young Royals conjured their magic in anger as Benny looked at them in shock.
Then they blasted their magic at Benny to run out of town for failing to capture the Protectors, and the Protectors saw it in amusement, while they were on their hoverbikes.
"You gotta admit guys, that is hilarious." said Mike, and they Protectors drove off.
