It had been smooth sailing ever since leaving Orange Town. They stopped at a few islands every now and then for food, but because Nami was so stingy with her money, they were only permitted to buy cheaper things, such as fruit. She also insisted on always keeping a barrel of some type of citrus fruit on board, though no one saw her eat any of it, except for the rare occasions where she would spot a barrel of ripe oranges.

After quite a while out on sea, they had finally come across another island. The feeling of finally mooring their small fishing boats felt great. Luffy was the first one to run onto his land, followed by Nami who wanted to take a glance at the landscaping. Zoro, who was delayed by his sluggish body after just waking up from a lengthy nap, was the last to set foot on the sandy coast.

"Finally on dry land again, he loudly noted as he tried to push through a yawn.

"There's a village past here?!" Luffy asked as he glanced over to Nami who's eyes were skimming over the map.

"Yeah. It looks like a small one though…" The redhead happily replied.

"Oh! In that case…" Luffy scampered to Nami's side, sparring only a few inches of personal space between them. The front and back of her head were cornered by Luffy's fidgeting hands as they impatiently awaited the taste of meat. Nami, herself, wasn't exactly a fan of Luffy invading her personal space, though… she didn't entirely hate it either "...meat! Meat! Meat! Meat!" Luffy cheered as saliva drooped down his jaw. "There's a place to eat in this village, right?!"

"Forget about meat for one minute, will you?!" Nami shot back, hoping he would finally back off.

In the midst of Zoro's long stretch, he noticed some rustling of the trees and bushes on the cliff above them. Before he could really see anything though, the susurration stopped completely, and the vegetation went still. Something about that didn't sit right with the swordsman.

He cautiously slid the hilt of his katana open with his thumb, revealing the reflective metal to the bright sun for the first time in a while. "Careful!" He warned his crewmates, his eyes still glued to the once animated bush. "I sense people!"

A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for the wait, and also the mediocre length of this chapter. I wanted to keep things short and sweet, instead of drawing it out like the last chapter... that one got a bit out of hand... hehe. Anyways, please R&R, and let me know if you want me to keep chapters short like this. I don't exactly mind making super drawn out chapters, it just depends on the arc, and the scene, and if it's really worth it, both for me, as the author, and you, as the reader.

Also, thank you to the guest who complimented my story! Much appreciated, and I hope you all have a great day!

Btw, to all who followed and/or favorited this story, I hope you know how happy it makes me to see you are enjoying it
