A/N: I have to admit, I'm a bit of a stickler for jealousy, so of course I had to add in this scene from Baratie Arc. I made sure not to make Luffy seem too OOC. This whole chapter is cannon, but some parts, are definitely headcanons (you'll know them when you see them). They don't effect the plot in any way, or at least I hope you think so. Anyways, it's been a little bit so I'll let you read now. Enjoy!

Uncomfortable Confession

After their first (official) run-in with the Marines, one thing led to another, and the Strawhats were stuck at the seafaring restaurant: The Baratie. Its elegant interior, mixed with top notch food, and feisty staff, truly set the scene for a perfect meal.

Luffy, who had never ever done an actual chore in his life, was ejected from the kitchen, after breaking plates, stealing food, and being an overall distraction to the chefs.

He had been promoted to waiter in mere seconds, by none other than Patty. Reluctantly, Luffy stomped down the stairs with a clean apron tied to his waist, and a pout on his face. "Chores're sure tiring. It must have been a lot of work for Koby too."

"Hey, chore boy!" Luffy heard the familiar voice of Nami calling out to him, though it wasn't until he looked over the railing to see her smirking face, along with the rest of the crew, all sitting around a table, elegant meals and dishes scattered between all three of them

Luffy leaned over the railing with wide eyes "You guys!"

"I heard you have to work here for a whole year!" Usopp teased with a cocksure chuckle.

"Is it okay if we redraw our flag for the ship?" Zoro chimed in the rag of pride-hurting jabs.

Luffy's eyes trailed over the clean white tablecloth, tracing over the uneaten dishes, such as a red lobster with butter drizzled over its exoskeleton, giving it a shiny glow, a large dish with more than enough brothy soup to feed a person for a whole three days, oysters and mussels cooked to perfection and delicately placed on a small plate, and more! "Ahhh…" Luffy moaned in jealousy and betrayal "You're eating yummy food without me?! How could you?!"

He raced down the steps, though his speed made it seem as if he had teleported!

"That's our business, right, guys?" Zoro turned to Usopp and Nami, and upon seeing them nod their heads he let out a jovial laugh.

Luffy didn't find one part of that funny, and scratched at the inside of his nostril, collecting a ball of snot. "Take this!" He promptly said, with a madened eye as he flicked the booger into Zoro's cup of fresh water.

In Usopp's failed attempt to stifle a laugh, he made a gross, squinty face. It only took another glimpse at Zoro's cup with the booger floating about inside, for him to falter and spit out a laugh. As if it were contagious, Usopp's laugh prompted Nami to chuckle, or terribly hide one, at least.

"Well, it's true that the food here is good." Zoro admitted and reached out to grab his class. He brought the cup up to his mouth, tipping it so that the infected water threatened to pour out into his mouth"I feel bad for you, but drink it yourself!" Zoro's toothy smirk disappeared and turned into a monstrous frown, stretching all the way to his ear as he forcefully poured the water into Luffy gullet. Usopp and Nami's tumultuous giggles stretched through half of the dining room, and the way they uncontrollably smacked the table perturbed many customers and distracted them from their meal and/or those who accompanied them.

"I can't believe you did that!" Luffy hacked, rolling on the floor with his tongue out, like some sort of dog.

"My stomach hurts!" Usopp yelled, almost running out of to breath from the continuous laughing "That was nasty!"

Sanji the sou chef, who was refilling a woman's class at a nearby table, lifted his head up to find the source of the impertinent noise. "How noisy… Could they be his buddies?" He thought aloud, ignoring the woman's date with a furious look on his face. His eyes darted through the table until they reached the one that was occupied by Luffy's "buddies". They scanned through the strawhat kid he had met just moments before, a buff man with tousled green hair, and a skinny, long-nose teen, before finally landing on the only female of the ragtag group. Her pale face was flushed from shortness of breath, and her eyes had small tears in the corners. Her mouth was still wide open, allowing for breathless laughs to pass through as her hand slapped the table.

At the sight of her beautiful womanly apparence, he felt an urge to dash towards her, professing his love- though he had some work to finish before, and by work, it was handing the now curious man the half emptied bottle of wine- and without a moment's notice, he was gone.

"Oh, dear ocean!" Sanji started, kneeling at Nami's side, delicately bringing forward and putting into her view a dazzling pink rose that could charm most any woman. "I thank you for today's encounter!"

"Eh?!" Nami flinched away from the blonde man's jutted out arm in confusion.

"Oh, love, I can't bear this hardship. Go ahead and laugh at me." He dramatically hid his, already hidden, eye with his hand, and shook his head. "I'm now prepared to be a lowly pirate or devil if I'm with you!" He released his hand to reveal his eye again, only for it to have transformed into a large beating heart, with a deep blush on his cheeks to boot.

Both Luffy and Zoro shared indifferent look, Zoro's being the most fierce, while Luffy's looked more… uncomfortable. Normally, Luffy probably would have had the time of his life laughing at such a situation- had some strange person gone up to either Usopp or Zoro- but at that time, he couldn't find anything hilarious then.

Nami awkwardly accepted the flower as Sanji went on with his everlasting speech on how he would turn to a life of evil, if it meant spending another second with her person. "However, how tragic it is! There's too great an obstacle between us!" The blonde spread his arms out to Nami, whether it was to accentuate his words, or to signal for heri to embrace him, no one at that table was sure of.

"That obstacle is me, right, Sanji?" Zeff, the proprietor of the Baratie, interrupted. Though they didn't dare say a word, both Luffy and Nami couldn't help but feel relieved that someone had finally put an end to his rambling.

A/N: First off, sorry this one is late, I've been a bit preoccupied. I expect chapters to come out a bit slower now, but I'll still do my best! Please R&R!

Thank you to guest your comment is so nice, thank you so much for reviewing! There are quite a lot of moments that I had almost forgotten too, of course, there are some that refuse to leave my mind as well, which is why I actually go through both anime and manga to spot those scenes.

Have a great day! Also, get ready because after the next chapter, I will be introducing the Arlong Park arc, which I hope you're as excited as me about.
