Stubborn Captain

The once peaceful Baratie was now panicking. Don Greig's massive galleon had been cut, causing a great impact on the sea. The large halves of the vessel dove into the ocean, creating huge waves that the seafaring restaurant could barely conquer, even after it was anchored. People walking across the floor did their best to stay balanced and not stumble.

"This is bad! Nami, Yosaku, and Johnny are still on the Merry out there!: Zoro exclaimed in panic. With no effort, he jumped off the railing of the stairs, landing onto the polished ground and dodging the flipped tables and chairs that were scattered around, as he attempted to exit the dining room and join Luffy on the deck.

"Dammit! It might be too late!" Usopp chased after, staggering as he quickly ran down the spiraling staircase.

The sight of the ocean claiming Kreig's galleon as its own as it fell deeper and deeper into the waves was truly a dismaying sight. All three strawhats stared in disbelief as the ship sank into the blue, at least until the alarmed voice of Johnny cried out to them.

"Big bro! Big bro!" he yelled with a stretched out arm and tears falling down his cheeks. He was washed away and Yosaku followed behind him, with his arm reaching out as well as tears streaming from his eyes.

"Yosaku! Johnny!" Luffy yelled out as he followed their drifting bodies. "Are you alright?!"

"Where's the ship?! It's gone! What happened to Nami?!" Zoro shouted, just as confused.

"That… I'm sorry, big bro. She's gone." Yosaku sobbed

"See ya!" Nami waved with one of her famous winks, paired with a pert smirk with her tongue jokingly poking out, adding to the tease "Tell them that if we're linked by fate, we'll meet again!" She casually leaned on the railing, and her chaff face transformed to a beaming grin, and her coy wave grew more intense.

"Big sis Nami…" Johnny started.

"She took all the treasure and ran off!" Yosaku finished his counterpart's sentence.

"W-WHAT'D YOU SAY?!" Luffy, Usopp, and Zoro all screamed in unison with an alarmed tone.

Luffy had finally helped the breathless bounty hunter duo out of the water an on board to where they didn;t have to struggle to breathe.

"What'd you say?!" Usopp reached by Luffy's head to yell in their faces, demanding an answer as to why their crewmate and ship was gone.

"Nami ran off with the Going Merry?!" Luffy joined in.

"What do you mean by that?!" Zoro squished through on the other side of Luffy's head.

"It happened… just a moment ago!" Yosaku recalled, still with tears in his eyes.

"What's the matter, big sis, Nami? Yosaku approached said navigating read head who was staring deeping into the book of wanted posters. "Ah! You were looking at wanted posters?"

"Oh… Nothing" She tried simply ending the conversation, until Johnny joined in out of the blue.

"You're impressive as usual." He poked his head over Yosaku's shoulder to look at the one she was looking at. After she "saved" Yosaku from scurvy, Johnny grew a deep respect for the knowledgeable girl. "So you've set your eyes on a big bounty pirate. But Arlong is the one pirate that you shouldn't go after" He remarked, and Nami closed the role, not allowing anyone, even herself, to see the ominous poster of''Arlong". "I hear he's super terrifyingly strong… He kept himself quiet and out of sight for a while. But he started going wild again recently." Nami had been able to scooch away from the two, as they stared into the sea.

"Well, it's hard to give up on that 20 million beli bounty, though…" Yosaku thought aloud.

"This guy's so strong that there's a shred of possibility that we may even be killed by a hair…"

They both turned around, confused having not heard Nami's voice for a while. "Big sis Nami?" Yosaku asked as he saw her place down a pale shirt on the railing. She turned around, a coy blush on her cheeks and pulled the collar of her current pink shirt, giving them a peek at her collar bone.

"Ne, I'm sorry, but could you turn around? I want to change…"

"What?! W-Well.." Yosaku stuttered, as their cheeks flushed with a pink hue and a toothy smile tugged on the corners of their mouths.

"Change? Here? Now?!" Johnny asked.

"May I?" She asked, returning the question. She gave a fast wink that could easily be missed.

"Please! Go ahead!" The two yelled in unison with stiff backs and shoulders.

"True to her looks, she's so bold," Johnny spoke.

"It wouldn't hurt if we took a quick peek, would it?" Yosaku scratched the tip of his nose simperingly.

They both turned around in hopes of seeing Nami and her curvaceous bodice, uncovered by any type of clothes, however what they actually got were hands in their faces, and before they knew it, they were being pushed off board.

nami 's head rose, revealing a sorry face, though by the time the two rose back to the surface, they were met by her back.

"W-What're you doing?!" Johnny yelled.

Nami turned around, one hand pushing up against her cheek. "What am I doing? Business, of course!" Her smile was so warm, like an excited child's, though the words that came out of her mouth were nothing like what a kid would say. "I'm a thief that only targets pirates, and I'm taking this ship!" The bounty hunters' mouths were left agape as they tread the water.

"I never said that I became a member. I just joined forces with them. That's all! I only spent a short amount of time with Luffy and the others, but I had a lot of fun." Despite trying to keep appearances, she couldn't help the sullen tone that leaked into her words. A stressed hand ran through her face starting from her chin, up, and traveled back down to stop at her cheek again "Tell them…"

"What?!" Yosaku yelled.

"That if we're linked by fate, we'll meet again. She waved her hand and turned her back to them. Before the bounty hunters could do anything, a wave washed them too far away from the ship, and they hadn't seen the Merry since.

"So that's how she took the ship…" Johnny and Yosaku bowed on their hands and knees in forgiveness.

"Dammit!" Zoro angrily punched the wall "She's making this crisis worse for us!"

"Kaya gave that ship to us!" Usopp joined in the rant, his fingernails digging into the palms of his hands.

"Wait! I can still see it! It's the Going Merry!" Luffy called out from atop the railing. It was but a speck in the distance, but still clearly there, bobbing up and down with the waves. "Where's your ship?" Luffy looked down to Yosaku and Johnny, remembering they had their own vessel.

"We still have it here.." Yosaku slowly said.

"Zoro! Usopp! Leave right away! Take that ship and follow Nami!" The straw hatted teen instructed with a rushed tone, not wanting to waste a single second.

"Forget about it. Just give that ship to her" Zoro waved her off. "There's no need of going after that woman."

Luffy's head lowered, his hat covering everything but the frown he had on his face.

"I won't accept anyone but her as our navigator!" Luffy declared, finally lifting up his head to reveal his stubborn face. They all stayed silent and took another look at Luffy's unwavering face, his eyes showed certainty that he would not sail the seas unless Nami was there with him- navigating.

Zoro began to inwardly falter, each expressed their opinion through gruff and whiny groans. It wasn't until his captain's obstinate face transformed into one of disappointment that he finally gave in.

"Alright, alright" Zoro huffed as he ruffled his hair "What a high maintenance captain…"

And with a pleased smile, Luffy watched as Zoro recruited Usopp and Yosaku to chase after their ship and bring Nami back.

A/N: Okay so sorry for the terrible ending, I was genuinely clueless as to how to end this chapter. Anyways, Please R&R! This one I had written right after the chapter before it, so I could just post it at my leisure, but since I won't be able to write for a few days, hopefully, this will tide you over.

By the way, I first published this fanfic ten days ago, so thank you all for the support you've shown!
