Fighting Motivation

The sturdy concrete wall bursted open with a thick cloud of wreckage following behind it, veiling the destroyer of said barrier. Arlong stared in befuddlement as a breeze unraveled the billow of debris, revealing a lank teen, his knees freely bent and his fists tightly clenched.

He walked forward, trespassing onto the fishman's base.

"What the..?" Arlong gaped with red stringy veins entirely visible against the whites of his eyes, and a tick forming on his temple, hidden beneath his ushanka hat.

"Which one of you is Arlong?" Luffy demanded with a raised fist. His eyes traveled amongst the array of fishmen that stood before him.

"Arlong?" he rhetorically repeated, not sparing the boy even a glance "My name happens to be Arlong…"

"I'm Luffy" he introduced, though in no way was it a friendly greeting between fellow pirates. His heart retained its normal pace as he strode closer and closer to the platform where the alleged "Arlong" sat, casually pressing his cheek against his knuckles out of sheer boredness.

"Luffy?" He queried. Despite his scrawny apparence, he he seemed to be braver than some inferior humans he had encountered on the Grand Line. Either that, or he was more idiotic than he had took him for. "So, what are you?"

"A pirate!" Luffy proclaimed as he continued to walk, ignoring the hateful glares the fish people sent his way.

"Ah!" Hachan cringed when he remembered how he had known him. "That's him" He pointed to the only human currently standing in Arlong Park "That's the guy who was on a walk!"

Luffy continued walking, until two fishmen blocked his path, forcing him to impatiently wait.

"Hold it, you!" The larger of the two ordered. His whole body was green, including his bushy and bristly hair. His terribly small pupils stared down at him with a leer.

"Where do you think you're goin'?" His partner asked. He was a muted blue type of hue, which only made Arlong's red tattoo, a sign of his allegiance to the crew and especially captain, stand out. "You need to run things by us first, kiddo." He placed his webbed hands onto Luffy's shoulders.

"Yeah!" His partner chimed in.

"If you don't stop…" The blue fishman started, but suddenly stopped as soon as Luffy stretched his arms out, placing a hand on either of their deltoids and drew his arms together, forcing their heads to collide, knocking them unconscious. They sloppily fell to the ground, and their combined weights made the floor vibrate.

Arlong's crew members' jaws dropped to the ground as they gawked at the scene before them. Arlong himself, kept his composure. His slightly widened eyes were the only proof that it had fazed him.

"What does a pirate want with me?" Arlong asked, a weary eye glued on the pirate when he suddenly stopped, a few inches away from his manmade seat.

His hand grasped the wrist of his opposite arm. He extended his leg out and leaned his torso forward, awkwardly throwing back both his arms. He furiously growled as he inwardly powered up his fist and threw it forward, striking Arlong right in his cheek.

His body went limp as he helplessly rolled across the tiled ground with so much speed that he could have sworn his body hovered above the floor for a second. It wasn't until he crashed into the other side of the well constructed wall that he stopped.

Everyone- fishmen and the villagers alike- couldn't believe what had just happened to their supreme captain/ usurper.

The film of dirt and debris filtered out, revealing the mighty captain hunched over with some very small scrapes, though his skin was much too tough to cause any real damage. He lifted his head, revealing an angry snarl. "Do you realize what you've just done...?" He asked, demanding a damn good response.

Like some type of animal, he angrily huffed through his nostrils so as not to disturb his deep frown. He thought back to when himself and Nami were isolated in the middle of Cocoyashi. The sight of her quivering back due to the uncontrollable tears that seemed to have no end, along with the sight of blood that streamed from her shoulder flooded his head. And the visage of her impotent expression as she asked for his help…

"Don't make my navigator cry!" Luffy ordered. There was no limit to the anger that was embedded into each word he said, or that was reflected on his face.
