A/N: This chapter (and perhaps the next one or two) is based on movie 2: Clockwork Island Adventure! It can still be read without having seen it, though I'm sure it wouldn't make much sense without having any prior knowledge. If you have no way to watch this film, I'm sure you could just read the first few paragraphs on the extended summary on the One Piece wiki, but I very much recommend you to watch it. Anyways, please enjoy!

Lending Hat

"Our ship got stolen," Sanji explained to Borodo as he shook his head "But we don't know the bastard who did it."

"Does your ship happen to have a pirate mark wearing a straw hat? Borodo, the oldest of the 'Thief Brothers questioned, and the strawhats all gasped, except for Zoro, who was too busy making out whatever was heading towards them in the distance.

"You've seen it?!" Usopp asked, which made him scratch at his chin to help with remembering.

"I saw it last with the Trump Siblings."

"Trump Siblings?" Luffy asked.

"They're a nefarious group of pirates that have a stronghold on Clockwork Island, and terrorize the surrounding area. Along with that, the Diamond Clock that I'm after is in their possession." He dug through his coat, handing them five wanted posters:

One featured a chubby man with baby-like features; a giant head, puffy cheeks, small eyes, and an upturned nose. And upon his bald head was a childish bandana, created to resemble a pig. And his name was Boo Jack. The next featured an alluring woman. She had pale skin, copper brown eyes, and golden locks tied up into childish, yet mature pigtails. Her name: Honey Queen. Continuing the pattern with odd names, the next one was named Skunk One, and the picture his wanted poster featured was an unattractive man. His nose and teeth seemed much too big, at least compared to his squinty eyes and miniscule mustache. The fourth one, Pin Joker, was a rather mysterious looking man. Despite his cool expression, his face was smothered in pale white face paint, and shapes like a star and a diamond surrounded his eyes. If he were to sneak into Buggy's crew, everyone would be none the wiser. And finally, the fifth and final one: Bear King. He wore a tough snarl on his face. Even with the top of his head being bald, the rest of it was barricaded in by some type of facial hair, like his long and bristly beard, or his outgrown sideburns.

"They don't look so tough" Zoro and Sanji argued in unison, though their synchronization caused another petty fight between the two.

"This bear guy is so cool!" Luffy shouted with amazement and stared at the wanted poster.

"What are you so happy for?! They stole your ship! You're supposed to want to beat the crap out of them!" Borodo yelled in shock, not even stopping to breathe. Never in his life had he ever imagined that a pirate would voice his positive feelings for a rival pirate out loud.

"B-Borodo!" Akisu ran over to him "Over there!"

Everyone looked to where Akisu's stubby finger pointed. Out in the distance were a fleet of ships, each one with the Trump Pirate's mark.

"Hey! Trump Siblings!" Luffy called out, earning the attention of a woman sitting inside the bear figure head.

"That's one sexy lady!" Sanji held his heart tight to keep it from jumping out of his chest, though his nostrils still flared and a deep blush ran across his face.

"And what might you want?" She asked, turning around, revealing her bare back to the sky.

"Give us back the ship you stole from us!" Luffy whined, though her face seemed unfazed by the mention of the Merry.

"Your ship? Never seen it" Her head tilted and she pushed a thick strand of wet golden hair behind her ear.

"Like hell you haven't!" Nami furiously wrangled. After all they had been through in the past hour or so, despite being on vacation, was really starting to frustrate her. The woman bathing in the figurehead leaned closer to take a look at who was talking, though after catching one glimpse of her heated face, she was taken aback. But she leaned back in again, this time taking a more absorbed look at Nami. Of course this didn't go unnoticed.

"Alright! Time for a riddle!" A round man suddenly jumped into the conversation- quite literally. His face and attire made it quite easy to identify him as Boo Jack.

"Riddle?" Sanji boredly asked.

"One!" He raised his hand, putting his index finger up "Who will become the King of the Pirates?" Boo Jack posed.

"Oh, come now, Boo Jack. That one's way too easy~" The woman, also known as Honey Queen, commented.

Luffy pointed his finger to his face "Me!" He yelled without hesitation.

"Wrong!" the pigman cheered "The answer is our boss, the Mighty Bear King!"

"No you're wrong" Luffy shook his head in disappointment and brought his arms up, as if posing to say he didn't know "I guess it's not common knowledge." He sighed.

"What?!"

"What kinda riddle was that anyways?" Sanji questioned and tiredly ran his hand through his hair, still making sure his uncovered eye remained a mystery.

"I knew these guys were nothing special." Zoro chimed in.

"Mocking the Trump Pirates, eh?!" His face became hot with anger and the sweat on Boo Jack's face intensified so that no inch went undamp.

"Well then, it just seems we'll just have to explain it to them." She said with a flirtatious voice. Her arm went up and she loudly snapped her fingers. That snap caused hundreds upon thousands of pirates to pop up from behind the railings of their large vessels. They loudly cheered and fearlessly leapt off the safety of their boats.

"They're out." Sanji casually noted with his hands in his pockets..

"Not much choice" Zoro said, coolly eyeing their opponents.

"Right, let's see what you've got!" Borodo encouraged, itching to see if they lived up to their confidence.

Luffy saw the small boats the Trump Pirates rode on drawing closer to the one they were standing on now. "Hold this for me." He told Nami. He impulsively took off his hat and placed it onto Nami's veiled head. But before she could question him, he had sprung off and begun to fight.

She uncrossed her arms and they instinctively reached up for the bristly brim of the hat. Tons of questions ran through her head as she watched him fight like 'Why had he given me his hat?' or 'When had he gotten so comfortable lending it to me?'. She wasn't sure of the answer to any of the questions, though one thing she was sure of is that she would protect it, no matter what. After all, he had entrusted it to her.

A/N: I know this isn't the best chapter, but I hope you still enjoyed please R&R!
