Chapter 10

~Last Time on Total Drama World Tour~

The Amazon Rain forest, a vast jungle environment full of both beautiful and dangerous animals and plant life. The teams were sent out through the jungle to locate a hidden city lost and forgotten over time. Some teams followed the right path. Some were misguided and lead down a stray. The only funny thing about this is each team is dealing with its own set of problems that are holding them back from the finish line. Whether it be nasty blood sucking bugs. A vicious hungry looking jaguar ready to pounce. Or a tribe of natives who believe they have found their goddess. Will the teams be able to escape from potential danger? Will anyone reach the hidden city or will they be the victims of a terrible fate? Find out in this next episode of Total. Drama. World Tour.

~With Team Radical Sports~

Having taken the wrong turn by accident due to a snot block by Harold, the teens continued down the path. Hoping the wrong way would lead them back down the path they were meant to take; unfortunately, a hoard of mosquitoes appeared out of nowhere taking the teens by surprise. Soon they found themselves running like chickens with their heads cut off from the hungry pesky mosquitoes that had set their eyes on the teens. The blood suckers were closing in on the teens. Stingers were at the ready to plunge into their bodies and drink their fill of blood. As the teens continued to run they could feel their bodies growing fatigued. All that running. All that extra work using their bodies. Their hearts were racing as fast as a beating drum. Because they were running so fast they had to take deep breathes to control their pace.

The teens had to take a break before they collapsed from exhaustion. The only problem was they could not. With the amount of mosquitoes behind them if they stopped they would have the horrid pests on them. Feeding on their delicious blood. Sucking them dry until nothing was left. The further through the forest terrain the teens ran the closer a loud sound of running water came to their ears. All that running was bringing them closer to a river. Perhaps if they could get close enough they could jump into it. Loosing the bugs. Saving their skins. Avoiding sever scratching due to bug bites.

"I can hear running water close by. If we can keep running just a tad longer we can jump in," Said Bridgette. "It should protect us from the mosquitoes until they fly off."

"(panting) One way (panting) to find out," Came the sound of Harold who was growing exhausted from the running. "Got to (pant) keep (pant) running. (deep breathe)"

It was obvious Harold's body was about to give way. Thinking fast DJ scooped Harold into his arms. Continuing his run from the blood suckers.

"I got you little buddy." Said DJ to Harold.

"How much further until we reach the river? The bugs are getting closer Bridge!" Cried Geoff in a panic when he took a quick look behind his shoulder.

"Hang on Geoff we're almost there!" Bridgette called out pointing to a clearing where a large river ran through the center of the forest. This was just what they were looking for.

All they had to do was jump into it and they would be bug free. Assuming they would make it to the river. Despite whatever animal(s) may lie within the waves of the rapid running water. The only thing the teens could think of was getting away from the mosquitoes. It did not occur to them what could be in the water until they were actually in the water moments later. The teens arrived and jumped into the water. With no one around to suck sweet blood the mosquitoes flew away.

The teens stayed under water for as long as they could hold their breathes; or at least until saw the bugs fly away when looking up from under the water. As soon as they were in the clear they went up for a breathe of fresh air. Having escaped the mosquitoes they thought they were in the clear. That the worst was behind them. They could get back on track to find the forbidden city but...they did not count on the rapids to carry them away in the opposite direction from which they came. They couldn't stop themselves no matter how hard they tried. They tried grabbing rocks, branches, each other to make a chain but it failed. Now they were defenseless as they were taken away by the rapids.

~With Team Music Strikers~

If anyone recalls these guys had an even bigger problem on their hands. One that was nearly 3 ft. tall, weighing in at 210 lbs of fury with razor sharp teeth and a hunger that needed to be satisfied. A jaguar stood in the way between the teens and the forbidden city. Nobody dare move an muscle less they alert the jaguar. Course if you make eye contact with a jaguar they will take it as a challenge/threat. (True fact right there.) They had to make a move but how could they? They were caught between life and death. Unless someone had an idea the odds of escape were slim to none.

No one dared move or breathe. Owen especially couldn't catch his breathe or move a muscle. Unless shaking counts for movement which it does and he was doing a lot of shaking right now. It could not be helped. He was a total nervous wreak who wanted to live. He did not want to die being eaten by a ferocious man eating jaguar. Noah tried to get Owen to calm down but that only earned him being caught in a tight squeeze. Desperate for a way out the teens began to whisper to one another for suggestions.

"Nobody move, maybe we can get away from it if we just back away slowly." Was Trent's suggestion.

"Maybe I could wrestle it then use some vines to tie it up?" Izzy suggested which earned looks of shock from everyone. There was no way anyone was going to allow Izzy to go ahead with that idea.

"Hey I'm down for fighting but not against that big hairy cat." Said Duncan.

Somebody had too come up with an idea because that jaguar looked ready to make a move. Thinking fast, Alejandro knew what to do in case of such a situation.

"Amigo's get behind me! I know how to handle this beast and I will need all of your help. Do exactly what I do," Getting in front while the others stood behind him, Alejandro slowly began to raise his arms in the air. Holding them out high and wide enough to make himself look bigger than the jaguar. The others began to follow pursuit doing the same thing he did. Trying to make themselves look bigger than the jaguar in the hope of scaring it away.

The jaguar had been watching everything slowly began to register what he was seeing. Backing up he was beginning to retreat. The teens could see this; continuing with keeping their arms high and wide as they stood their ground against the beast. Though he wasn't exactly a beast was he? Making a hasty retreat back into the forest leaving the teens to drop their arms and take a deep breathe of relief. They had survived by the hairs on their chinny chin. A close call like that would make them be a little more cautious while in the rain forest.

"Aw man Al you saved us from being a giant cat's lunch," Said Owen. "Your my hero!" Having said that he embraced Alejandro in a tight bear hug. Much to Alejandro's displeasure though he could not show it.

~Alejandro's Confession~

(Cracks his back) "Ugh! My back is probably going to be sore for a week thanks to that oaf. If the rest of my team wasn't with me I would have pushed Owen off of me. Course I can't lose anyone's trust. I need to gain their trust so they will gladly help me do whatever I ask them in the future. So for not I must go along and suffer things like being hugged by that big ape and being called...ugh Al." (shivers at that letting out a heavy sigh)

~Confession Over~

While Owen was squeezing Alejandro, Noah took a look at the map.

"Okay so apparently the blue path is just as dangerous as any of the other paths. Now we are stuck with it so we have no choice but to keep moving forward. All I can say is we better be ore careful and not draw attention to ourselves." He explained out loud.

"Okay so we'll move a little slower and only whisper when we want to talk," Said Trent. "We can do that at least until we get further down the path. By then we should be closer to that lost city Chris mentioned."

Duncan gave a shrug. "What other choice do we have? Come on we have better keep moving and Owen you should drop Alejandro before you break him in two. Not that that wouldn't be something I'd cry over."

Listening to Duncan, Owen dropped Alejandro back on his feet where he cracked his back back into position. Taking deep breathes of fresh air from having the life almost squeezed out of him. As soon as he composed himself the group took off with a new object on hand. As they made their way to the lost city. Hopefully without any trouble down the rest of the path.

~With the Crystal Platypus'~

Who would have thought a Goddess was upon the Natives of the jungle. They were overjoyed with excitement that a celebration was in order. They separated the Crystal Platypus' whisking them off into three huts to change them into proper clothing.

They stripped Cody into his birthday suit Making him wear this long loin clothe with some simple design patterns on it. One the sides of the loin cloth leaves were connected to it. Upon his head he wore this feather headdress. He also got a necklace made of beads to wear around his neck and one of his ankles.

~Cody's Confession~

"Can I be honest for a second and say the no undies under the loin cloth felt great. (smiling) I mean who needs underwear anyway when you're roaming the jungle? Free and easy if how I like it."

~Confession Over~

Heather, Gwen and Sierra got new sleeveless tops with designs on them that reached their belly buttons. The skirts reached their knees. Each one a different color that fit each girl the best. Blue for Gwen, green for Sierra and red for Heather; and each was given many necklaces of beads to wear around their necks.

As for Becky, she was given a similar outfit to the girls with a purple skirt and a black top; but she got a flower crown placed upon her head and her face was painted slightly with small marks and prints.

Once done everyone was brought out of the huts and brought to the center of the village, but Becky was taken further than that. She was brought to a large throne-like-chair where she was placed to sit before all the natives who bowed before her.

~Becky's Confession~

"Okay so I was being worshiped as a Goddess by a native tribe in the Rain forest. How was I suppose to react to that? (shrugs) I mean sure it was a great honor but it didn't feel right to lie to those people when I'm clearly not a Goddess. But if I told the truth my friends and I could have been used for target practice. Ugh this challenge could not get any worse and yet it did."

~Confession Over~

One of the natives who looked to be the chief walked up. Standing before his people, behind Becky. He was an old looking man with a large feather headdress upon his head. Holding a long walking stick that was being used as a cane to help him walk. Once he was in a good enough position he began to speak and in English much to the teens surprise. Heather nearly cursed a loud had Gwen and Sierra not covered her mouth before drawing any unwanted attention from the natives.

"My people, our prayers have been answered. Our Goddess has come to us to bring words of wisdom and encouragement as we celebrate in her honor," The natives broke out in cheers and applause by the chiefs words. "Our Goddess comes to us in human form and she brought with her her servants to take part in our celebration."

"Servants? SERVANTS?! Uh excuse me but I am not some low life servant!" Heather was starting to complain again much to the other's displeasure. In fact she would have kept complaining had Sierra not wrapped her mouth with wrapping tape Cody found in the the bag Chris gave them.

Sierra worked fast covering Heather's mouth then tapping it tight to her face. To make sure Heather did not try pulling at the wrapping covering her mouth her wrists were bind with more tape. Would it keep Heather from prying the tape off? Probably not but if it could keep her quiet that mattered most. Sierra apologized on behalf of Heather's rudeness. Asking the chief to continue.

The chief gave a nod carrying out what else he had to say. "Our Goddess and her servants shall be our guests of honor for our celebration today. Let us show them the customs of our people and life and allow our Goddess to speak,"

All attention was drawn to Becky. She looked surprised and nervous about speaking in front of everyone. With everyone's eyes on her the ability to speak would not come to her; however, she had to say something. These people saw her as their Goddess so a speech was expected. A short one anyway. Maybe confessing to everyone was the right thing to do? Her mother didn't raise her to be a liar. Taking a deep breathe Becky spoke up.

"Thank you for your kindness. My friends and I appreciate this warm hospitality you are giving us and allowing us to be guests in your celebration. Though I must confess...I don't feel right lying,"

"I am no Goddess. I'm just a regular teenage girl. My friends are regular teenagers too. We just got lost during a challenge to a some lost city that's somewhere in the area. I'm really sorry, please don't get angry because I was honest." Becky explained covering her face, eyes closed to avoid anything hitting her.

Silence. That was not a good sign. No one spoke a word after her speech.

"I knew it! She had to open her big mouth and now we are going to be dead meat," Heather whispered a loud to the others. "We can kiss our chances at winning the million goodbye."

"Shush! Keep it down, maybe they will show mercy and let us go?" Was Sierra's best reply to Heather.

Suddenly, laughter filled the air. Everyone was breaking out in chuckles and giggles which took the Platypus' by surprise. Wondering what was going on and why everyone was laughing. Was it a coincidence or part of some sick joke? The villagers continued to laugh and laugh until the chief silenced and settled them down.

Not one member of the Platypus dare speak a word. Less they upset anyone but that didn't stop Heather from speaking up.

"What is this some kind of sick joke? Are you people making fun of us?! You have no right to laugh just because my idiot team mate confessed to not being a Goddess," Heather told everyone insulting Becky in the process. "Look how about we make a deal? You let one of us go and the rest you can sacrifice or whatever."

"Wait are you telling these natives to go ahead an kill us just for their own pleasure?" A shocked Sierra asked.

"Not all of us...Mainly you guys." Heather whispered that last part to herself but Gwen, Sierra and Cody knew what she meant.

The chief spoke up, explaining that they were not those kind of people who sacrificed others to please their God's. True they did follow and worship one but nothing extreme beyond that. They knew the Platypus' were not actual God's but the resemblance between Becky and their Goddess was remarkable. It could be Becky was a reincarnation of their Goddess sent to the village to let the natives know that their Goddess is looking after them.

Nothing more besides that. All anyone wanted was a sign that their Goddess was watching over the village and its inhabitants. Reassuring the Platypus' that no one would be a sacrifice and they were welcomed to stay for the celebration then be escorted to the lost city. A fair deal I if I do say so myself.

Let the celebration begin!"

Another round of applause and cheers from the natives. Soon music was playing, people were dancing, gifts were brought to Becky by each native in the village. They gave her baskets full of fruit. Flower bouquets. Beautifully handmade beaded necklaces. Meats and bugs that were freshly cooked. One after another, Becky thanked the natives for their gifts. Her friends received showers of offerings like Becky. With a couple added in gifts like a man made knife and headdresses full of colorful feathers. Sierra couldn't help but get sparkled eyed with each gift she took from the native.

"Wow...! These are some of the most beautiful handmade gifts I have ever seen," Her eyes twinkled at the sight of a necklace in her hands. "Look at all the colors and shapes on this one." Holds it up so her friends can see.

"Boy these guys sure put a lot of effort in making this stuff," Said Cody. "I don't know if we can carry all this back to the plane. Assuming they'll let us go after their celebration."

~Cody's Confession~

"I sure am glad no one is going to have to be a sacrifice to please some God's this village worships. I was also glad they would help escort us through the jungle to the lost city after the festivities. I guess in the end there was nothing to worry about, much."

~Confession Over~

"This isn't what I expected to happen today," Began Gwen as she looked at one of the necklaces she was given. "Who would have thought we'd go from lost to prisoners to being guests of honor in a village in the rain forest."

"I sure didn't see this coming but I like it." Said Sierra with a bright smile.

The Platypus' were living in paradise. Who would have thought that a wrong turn would turn into something good? True that it could have been worse but Lady Luck was shining down upon them. They could take it easy, enjoying the festivities until the end where they would then be guided out to the lost city.

~With the Radical Sports~

Being dragged through rapid waters was not the definition of fun these teens were thinking as they were taken away by the current leading down through the rain forest. Where they were going wasn't as important as how they were going to escape from the water before hitting any rocks or getting attacked by any creatures who live in the water. Time was not on their side. Either they find a way out, let the current take them away or allow themselves to get eaten by hungry river monsters. To put it simply they had to act fast before it was too late.

As if someone from above was reading their mind(s) a huge rock came into view. It looked wide and big enough for everyone to hang on but grabbing a hold of it would not be easy. If a few friends could grab ahold then the others could hold onto them. It was a long shot but there was a possibility it could work. One way to find out. Harold told DJ and Geoff to grab hold of that giant rock. Then he told Lindsey and Bridgette and Leshawna to grab hold of the boys. It wouldn't be easy and it would require a great deal of strength to keep hold of the rock but if all worked out they could take a breather while figuring there next move out.

The boys reached out for the rock as the current pulled them towards it. Arms out at the ready the pair rammed into the rock letting out a loud grunt of pain but it didn't stop them from holding onto the rock. Their fingers were gripping hold. The rapid waves hit them with a powerful force. Everyone held on for their lives less they be taken away by the water, again. They may have caught a break from floating down the river but how were they going to get out to safety? They had no rope nor could they strip and use their clothes as a rope. Not to mention they were in the middle of the river. Only way they could get to the other side would be either swimming or rock jumping. By which I mean they would have to climb on top of the rock DJ and Geoff were gripping hold of and jump to the nearest rock and go from there.

It was risky but it was their best option for getting out of the river. They were going to have to hop across the river like frogs and soon because DJ and Geoff could only hold onto the rock for so long before loosing their grip(s).

~With the Music Strikers~

Previously, the teens escaped certain death from a hungry jaguar. Perusing their way to the lost city quietly so they do not attract any unwanted attention from other animals. Using the map as their guide they were nearly to their destination. They did not know if the other teams reached the city or not. Just reaching the city in one piece was their primal goal. Assuming they did not run into anymore ferocious hungry animals. Less any that are poisonous. They stuck together to observe their surroundings and watch each others backs.

With each passing step down the path they find themselves getting closer. How do they know if they are getting closer you ask? On the map there are landmarks to show how close they are getting. Each landmark has a distinctive shape to it. Namely the trees, some large rocks, the river, etc. The little things that stood out. They follow everything that stands out and first place was in the bag. Nothing stood in their way. Except the unexpected which came in a rather small package.

The Amazon Rain forest is full of dangerous animals. From jaguars to poison dart frogs to different snakes and so on and so forth. True not every animal that lives in the rain forest is dangerous. One still needs to be careful. Can't be too careless when exploring unknown territory. Especially with animals in the area that can or could be a threat. Hence why the teens were taking these extra precautions when walking to their destination. If they had a weapon to defend themselves that would be extra helpful but unfortunately they had none. Unless you count using a giant stick or a rock as a weapon. Still when there are hungry carnivorous animals in the area one has to use whatever they can find. Duncan suggested it. It would be the best line of defense they would have against the ferocious animals.

They group continued down the path. Rocks and large tree branches in hand. They walked in silence for the longest time or so they thought. When Owen finally complained about slowly going insane over the fear of being jumped by another jaguar the others had to quickly shut him up. Less he alert an nearby animals. He did apologize but he had a reason for being jumpy.

~Owen's Confession~

*shaking* "I can't help if we are in a huge jungle filled with hungry carnivorous animals who would probably like a taste of my flesh. I don't want to be dinner for any hungry cats. I'll bet I don't taste good. (sniffs his arm, gives it a little lick) Hmm not bad."

~Confession Over~

Too put it simply Owen was terrified of another jump scare. He wished he was back on the plane or home in his room eating nachos. Extra jalapenos and cheese and sour cream and olives. One can not have nachos without olives. Nachos have a system between balance and delicious. Just the thought of nachos was making Owen drool like a hungry dog.

Checking the map again Trent noticed that the path they were on seemed to cut in two directions. There was one way that would take them to the lost city. It would take a tad longer but they should get there in a couple hours. Nothing to it. As long as they had the map nothing could stop them, nothing. Except maybe a monkey swooping down and grabbing the map right out of Trent's hands. Disappearing back up in the tree, map in hand.

"Hey cool a monkey! I want to be a monkey too." Explained Izzy who began to act like a monkey. Jumping up on a tree branch, swinging around imitating monkey noises.

"Great that's all we need. A monkey took our map and Izzy imitating a monkey." Noah said with utter annoyance watching the scene unravel before him.

"Did Chris happen to put a second map in our bag?" Trent asked no one in particular.

"Hang on let me check." Said Alejandro going up to Owen who had the bag on his shoulder's. He opened it up scanning through, moving and picking up things in the hope of finding a spare map; unfortunately, there was no spare map inside. They would have to rely on memory to the lost city. That or someone would have to climb the tree and retrieve the map from the monkey. All eyes were turned towards Izzy who was still monkeying around.

"Izzy how do you feel about climbing up a tree and retrieving the map from that monkey?" Duncan asked. "Your the best one out of all of us who can climb trees and probably think like a monkey. What say you go and play a game of get the map?"

"Play chase the monkey and climb trees? Oh boy that sounds like fun count me in!" That was easy enough. Izzy was going to go up that tree and get the map from the monkey. Within moments Izzy was swinging and climbing up the tree all while acting and sounding like a monkey.

Everyone watched from below as Izzy went monkey after the monkey. Who would succeed in taking the map for themselves was the question they would have to wait and see.

~Several Hours Later, The Next Morning~

The sun was just rising over horizon above the trees. Spreading its warmth throughout the land. Awakening the flowers that closed up in the night. Animals who were in a peaceful slumber began to rise up. Chris and Chef were at the lost forbidden city. Awaiting for the teams too arrive. Who would arrive first was the question. It was anyone's game. Looking at his watch Chris saw it was ten after nine. The teens should be arriving soon. Unless they got eaten or lost. At which point he would have to send a rescue party to retrieve the teens, dead or alive. Hopefully alive or he was going to get his ass hauled off too jail.

Looking back and forth between his watch and the hill climb to where he and Chef stood, Chris was getting a tad impatient. Someone had to be arriving. By now the teams should be making their way to the entrance of the lost city. He asked Chef for his opinion on what could be keeping everyone. Chef had two different responses. The first was the teens were being lazy waking up or that they had gotten into some kind of trouble as most teenagers do. Chris did not reply to that but instead looked at his watch. Was it possible to die of boredom? Then by some miracle when he looked up from his watch he saw something. Squinting his eyes he could make out moving hair coming into view. Then as the hair moved he could make out faces. Faces of familiar people Chris had come to know and love (not literally but he gets amusement out of them).

Up the hill the three teams were running to the finish line (not a real one but you could say where Chris and chef stood was the finish line). Everybody was using all their strength and energy to win the race. Reaching the lost city before their competition did. One-by-one the teens were coming up the hill to flat ground. The teens who were coming close to the finish line were Alejandro, Duncan, DJ, Sierra, Geoff and surprisingly Cody. (not to be rude of him but he is a tad scrawny). The teens were sprinting to the finish line. Heather was trying to get past Alejandro was was a head of her by a mere three inches. But Heather being Heather would not accept second place. Quickly she had to act fast. Reaching out she grabbed Alejandro by the back of his shirt. Using her strength to pull him back towards her. He felt his body come to a halt followed by a pull which lead to stumbling and falling backwards on Heather.

With the two out of commission the rest of the teens (who were ahead like the pair were) ran past them. DJ and Geoff were running side-by-side but Sierra was closing in on them. She had an objective. Get to Chris and win the challenge. All she had to do was get passed DJ and Geoff.

~Sierra's Confession~

"I come from a large family of talented people. Dating back to my great, great, great, great relatives. Weaving baskets and keeping up with my Total Drama Fan Base and Website aren't the only things I can do. I can also dance and fight and leap with grace."

~Confession Over~

Switching to a more serious mood, Sierra let out a battle cry, picked up the pace and came charging at DJ and Geoff. The two hardly had anytime to react when to Sierra's battle cries when she pushed the two aside and ran through them. (Think of a football player pushing the opposing teammates away to get to the goal) Like a machine Sierra was on fire as she ran at top speed to Chris and Chef. In fact she came like a bullet at the pair they had to jump out of the way as Sierra continued to run nonstop. She couldn't stop running. She didn't stop running. Least not until she crashed into a tree knocking her unconscious.

"Well...Sierra nearly knocked Chef and myself to the ground; however, she did reach us first and therefore, it looks like the Platypus' are the winners!" Chris explained gaining cheers from the other Platypus' who arrived while the other teens groaned in disappointment.

As Chris stood up from the ground he got a good look at everyone. The teens while in one piece looked like a wreak. Their clothes were tattered, dirty and wrinkled. Even their exposed skin had scraps, cuts and bruises. They had seen better days. After being in the jungle for over twenty four hours and going through Hell and back the teens wanted out of this place and never come back again. The stories they could tell Chris. Each team had a story to share about the daring near death and unexpected surprises they encountered.

Now Chris was interested in hearing all their stories but their was a competition to finish so the stories would have to wait till later, or never. He waited over twenty four hours for the teens to get to this spot. Another minute of waiting would drive him bananas. He proclaimed the Platypus' the winners and since one their teammate came short, the Music Strikers were sending someone home. Alejandro glanced at Owen who was huffing and puffing to catch his breathe. He noticed Alejandro looking at him and as soon as he caught his breathe, Own spoke.

"Hey Al are you okay? You seem a little upset about something. Are you upset because we lost? Talk about a bummer huh? Boy I tell you, you come so close only to come short in the end. It's a totally bummer dude." Owen explained unaware that Alejandro wasn't just upset over losing the challenge. He was upset with Owen for making them lose. He swore he would make sure Owen was voted off tonight if it was the last thing he did.

That is it for this chapter

To find out who get's da boot and where the teens will be going next you'll have to stick around and wait for the next chapter.

Sorry to keep you all waiting on this chapter but I wanted this chapter to be worthy of your eyes.

Please stay tune for the next chapter, and don't forget to comment.
