The Star
I was walking along Sunset Beach. The sun was setting. The rocks that were supposed to be dry and smooth started turning pink and tanning yellow. The sky was turning crimson red and the clouds bright orange. A couple of seagulls flew over some clouds.
The sun was starting to hide behind the horizon. You could just see the line that separated the skies from the water. Sparkling dark blue water, with the reflection of the not so bright sun. The reflection that was long and now much shorter. Still getting shorter as the sun set lower and lower.
A bit further down was a fairly large concrete pier, there was a small speedboat clinging to it with a thick rope tied to big piece of metal
The sun set completely and the moon shone a beautiful white/silver color. The stars were starting to show; slowly blinking at me.
One of the stars started coming towards the ground, towards me. Just then I realized it wasn't a star. It was a bird, no not a bird something else, a horse with wings!?! It was coming towards me. It was just beautiful. A unicorn! It had a silvery shimmering white body with long wings that were the color of snow. There was a golden alicorn in the middle of his forehead. I'm running out of words to describe the beauty of it.
It came closer and closer it was so close I could see the spark in its eyes, those dark blue eyes that shone like the stars.
The unicorn stopped. He was just a couple of feet away from me. Looking at me. He lifted his head and said something. He was just so quiet I couldn't hear a thing, as if he had no voice. I lifted my hand slowly as I took a step, or two forward. My hand was so close I could almost touch him until he just disappeared into thin air.
I could hardly breathe; the whole picture of him standing in front of me was still in my mind. Like someone carved it in there.
I looked at he ground; the round pink and gray stones where he was standing were shimmering like they have been covered in fairy dust.
Just then I heard a voice
"Wake up princess, the sun is up"
I opened my eyes and saw Ami's bright face with a warm and friendly smile on it
"Ami what are you doing here?"- I was really confused.
"What do you mean?"- She asked me.
"What happened to the unicorn and Sunset Beach?"
Ami smiled and said;
"Oh I see."
"You see what?" I looked at her as if she just fell from another planet.
"You have been dreaming Chibi Usagi; you're back home in your room, in the palace, not the Sunset Beach."
I looked around to see I was in my room, in my bed in, my nightgown. It was all a dream. But it seemed so real. The Unicorn, the beach, the sunset; it couldn't have been all a dream. It just couldn't. It was all too real. I could smell and breathe the fresh ocean air, feel the wind going through my long and soft hair, the warm ocean water covering my bare feet.
What was that unicorn trying to tell me? Could it have been really important? Why couldn't I hear a word he was saying? What was he doing in my dream? Well it's all over now, or is it???
