Hi, lovebugs. ;)
"Mmm or I can kiss you here, I know this spot makes you yelp," Sam whispered into Mercedes's ear. Unlike their usually White House schedule, Sam and Mercedes were lounging around up in Sam's old bedroom. Mercedes was wearing one of Sam's button-up shirts while Sam had on his sweats and no shirt as the two cuddled and giggled in bed.
"Sam stop," Mercedes chuckled as she moved her neck away from Sam's attacking lips.
"What, isn't this better than waking up at the crack of dawn by yourself in that big bed of yours. Your boyfriend here is hugging you from behind and kissing that pretty face and neck of yours." Sam emphasized as he gave her a kiss behind her ear.
"I'll admit this is pretty great, but if you think we are going any further in your mother's house then you are sadly mistaken,"
"What does the idea of getting hot and heavy in my mom's house not turn you on?"
"No,"
"Well hell we can go down to the cottage," Sam replied causing Mercedes to laugh. He leaned down and pecked her lips before doing it again as she wrapped her hands around his neck.
"Sam I want you don't get me wrong but I want our first time of intimacy together to be amazing, and in a private area, ok?"
Sam pecked her lips, "Ok, I'll relent for now. Mom headed out for the morning she has morning hot yoga and a big brunch with some friends so for the morning we have the whole house to ourselves,"
"That sounds great so what are you going to be cooking for us?" Mercedes asked as she got out of the bed.
"You'll have to come down and find out," Sam replied as he headed downstairs. Mercedes rolled her eyes before heading downstairs with Sam in the kitchen. He pulled out a few pots, pans, bowls, and a lot of ingredients from the pantry and fridge.
"So what are we going to be making?" Mercedes questioned as she washed her hands.
"We are going to be making strawberry pancakes, with french toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage, and my famous raspberry biscuits," Sam explained.
"Sounds yummy so where can I help," Mercedes questioned.
"Well first you can cut up the strawberries for me and then as time goes I'll give you some more tasks."
"I like all bossy." Sam playfully rolled his eyes and he and Mercedes worked to get the job done. At some point, their tasks of cutting fruit, and mixing dry ingredients were abandoned when Sam turned Mercedes toward him and hoisted her up on the counter, and started kissing with such an amount of fervor that it would be more than embarrassing if Mary Evans was to walking in on the couple.
"Mom who's car is that out front?" A voice called out from the living room before it drifted off into the kitchen.
"Well I'll be damned, Sam Evans and the President Ms. Mercedes Jones are making out in the kitchen," J.J. teased. Sam quickly put Mercedes down and placed her behind him as he glared at his estranged brother.
"What the hell are you doing here J.J.?" Sam growled.
"I mean Mary Evans is my mother after all too, I am also your brother and sometimes I come here every now and then to visit here. Sure it ends in her cursing me out sometimes, but this is completely new. Never would I have thought I would see you making out with the president of the United States in mom's kitchen." J.J. smiled enjoying this moment more than he should have.
"Wait he is your brother?" Mercedes asked from behind Sam.
"Yep, he is my younger brother, you couldn't tell. Maybe it's because he takes after mom while I take after dad but yeah we are siblings, he didn't let you know?" J.J. smirked. Mercedes rolled her eyes and headed back upstairs shutting the door behind her.
"You are an asshole," Sam hissed.
"Probably wishing you would've let her know all of this beforehand huh. Anyways I am heading up to my room, I hope you two lovebirds can figure this out," J.J. said. He walked towards Sam and popped a strawberry in his mouth before patting Sam on the back. Sam rolled his eyes and pushed one of the bowls back as an act of range. Promising he would clean up the mess after he talked to Mercedes.
Mercedes had put on her own clothes dressing in a pair of jeans and crewneck. She was beyond furious at Sam, how could he have not told her who he was related to. He had ample opportunity to let her know and seeing that he fired the majority of his workers on her first day of the job due to her personal reasons. She came here to meet his mother and have a good time before she was forced back into a whirlwind of politics and now she was faced with embarrassment and shock.
She was staring at the wall bouncing her leg up and down before the door opened.
"I know you are angry at me," Sam said as he shut the door behind him and leaned on it.
"I think angry is too light of a word Mr. Evans," Mercedes replied as she stood and stared at him.
"Seriously we are going back to that?" Sam scoffed.
"What the hell do you think? We have been dating for a little over five months and I would have thought that you would half the mind to tell me that you are related to J.J. Do you remember him? My political opponent, the man that made my political campaign a living hell, the man who would want nothing more than to absolutely ruin me. God, you brought me here, and you didn't even bother to tell me who you really are!"
"Who I really am? Who I really am? You make it sound like I was helping him on his campaign trail."
"Well hell you didn't tell me he was your sibling, so what if you did help him on the campaign trail."
"Don't start that political slander reverse shit on me Mercedes ok. I failed to mention I was related to him I am sorry now can we please forget about this."
"I told you when I first met you that I hate to be left out of the loop and that I hate for information to be hidden from me, so as of now we can not just forget about this." Mercedes said as she walked past him and headed out of the door.
"Where are you going?" Sam questioned.
"Out," Mercedes replied.
Sam sighed, "Mercedes you are the president of the United States you can not just leave without following protocol."
"Well, considering that we have three of my Secret Service Agents tailing me from the cottage I think I will be fine, so how about this. You stay here leave me the hell alone and I will be back whenever, and that is an order. Did I make myself clear Mr. Evans?"
"Crystal Ms. President," Sam answered. Mercedes gave him a menacing glare before exiting the house and slamming it shut behind her.
"Ya know little brother it seems as though communication seems to be your issue," J.J. said from the top of the stairs. Sam ignored his brother and headed to the kitchen to clean up the mess.
"Wait a damn minute J.J. is Sam's brother?" Santana questioned. Mercedes had decided to stop at a private park and was sitting on the bench when she called Santana and Jane on three-way.
"Yep, I found out this morning," Mercedes sighed.
Jane began, "Hold on a damn minute how did you find out this morning?"
"With Sam's shirt on, hoisted up on the kitchen counter while I and Sam were making up. He walked into the kitchen Sam pulled me behind his back and he revealed that they are in fact siblings. Afterward, Sam and I argued and I left the house, I am here at this park. I mean I told him the very first time I met that there should never be a moment where I am not allotted the full truth, and before I came on this damn trip I asked was there anything I should know. Everything was just so perfect before it got ruined."
"Awe sweet face, I know you are mad and upset and I know you hate being left out of the loop, but Sam was just trying to protect you, I think you should go back and finish the rest of the trip because we all know when you come back to Washington there won't be any quiet moments for you two," Jane spoke. Mercedes rolled her neck because she knew that Jane was right. She liked Sam very much and she was probably falling in love with him, and she wasn't going to let J.J. Kameron ruin it for them.
"You're right, alright I'll start heading back, bye guys," Mercedes said. Both ladies hung up the phone and Mercedes headed back to her car to prepare to head back to Mary's house.
Sam had stayed in his room after he cleaned up his mess. His mother had come back about fifteen minutes after Mercedes left but after she found out her eldest son was in her home she decided to retire to her room until dinner. His brother had that effect on people who weren't immune to his bullshit. once he showed his true colors people wanted nothing to do with him, and for some people, they could tolerate it but for others, they couldn't stand him. Sam's only wish was that Mercedes would come back and they could fix this.
Mercedes had made it back to Mary's home and was heading up to Sam's bedroom. When she entered she shut the door and Sam stood from the bed. They stood looking at each other in silence.
Mercedes broke the silence, "If this relationship, the personal one we have with each other, is going to work I need full communication. Lack thereof causes me to lack trust and I don't want to lose trust in the man whose main job is to protect me from anything. I don't want there to be any more secrets, Sam."
"And there won't be I promise. I only didn't tell you about him because I wanted to protect you and I didn't want you to judge my mom and me. I wanted us to have a nice peaceful weekend besides he spends so much of his time under our dad's thumb that it didn't even hit me that he could have possibly wanted to come down here, for whatever reason." Sam explained. Mercedes walked over to him and gave him a hug before pulling back slightly and looking at him.
"Sam, I wouldn't have judged you I promise, your mother and you are two completely different people baby. I wouldn't have done that," Mercedes whispered as she sat up on her tippy toes and kissed him on the lips. Sam enveloped his arms around her and molded themselves together. He kissed her forehead when they pulled away and placed his chin on her forehead.
"I'm sorry," Sam whispered.
"I'm sorry too," Mercedes replied.
It was time for dinner and to say it was awkward was an understatement. Sam and Mercedes sat on one side while J.J. sat on the other. Sam was conflicted and really wanted to say to hell with everything and lead Mercedes back to Washington, D.C. but he could not do that. So he sat through this dinner and waited with bated breath for J.J. to say anything wrong so he could have an excuse to throttle his ass.
"So Mercedes how is your mother?" J.J. questioned.
"She is fine," Mercedes answered.
"I heard there was a slight scuffle at the White House a time ago I was just asking to be sure," J.J. replied.
Sam clenched his fist but Mercedes put a calming hand on his leg, "No need to worry everything is quite fine." Before J.J. could ask another question there was a hard knock at the door.
"Ah, my dinner guest has arrived," J.J. cheered as he stood.
"J.J. who the hell have you invited to my home. You have already invited yourself which no one at this table is happy about," Mary hissed.
"Calm down mother, I just thought since Sammy is bringing his date home to meet the family then hell we can't give her the Evans family welcome without inviting one more person," J.J. smiled as he headed to the door, he then came back with a heavy set muscular male who looked like an older version of J.J. covered in a pair blue jeans and a flannel.
"Ms. President this is our father, Sebastion Johnson James. My first name comes from him." J.J. smirked.
"Mom we are leaving," Sam said as he grabbed Mercedes's hand and stood.
"Sam don't be rude introduce me to your new girlfriend," Sebastian greeted with a grimy smile. Sam looked at him with so much hatred in his eyes that it scared Mercedes. She stepped forward and put out her hand for him to shake.
"Hi I am Mercedes, it is nice to meet you."
Sebastian looked at her hand with such disdain that Mercedes took it back. His deep southern twang came out, "You know back in the day you were worth money, but now you spread your legs for my son for what? For free?" Sebastian let out a smile and laugh before Sam tackled him to the ground and throttled his face in.
"Sam get off of him let him go!" Mary yelled, a few of the other security guards of Mercedes came and yanked Sam away. Mercedes signaled for them to grab their things so they could get the hell out of here.
"Mercedes I am sorry, I did not want this to happen at all," Mary said as she escorted the woman to a separate room.
"Mary this isn't your fault but I am afraid that Sam and I are going to have to cut this visit short, maybe we can have a redo."
"Of course dear," Mary said with sad eyes. Mercedes gave her a hug before she turned and saw Sam coming into the room. He gave his mother a hug and grabbed Mercedes's hand and escorted them out of the house and to the car. A few moments later the rest of the security detail came with their bags in the car and they set off back to the White House. Making it a damper mood on what was supposed to be such a joyous occassion.
