Chapter 2: The Autism Banquet in Reserve Township
The next day, I met up with some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, Carly Shay, Spencer Puckett, and Carly's stepdad, Freddie Benson, at the park in Reserve Township for the annual autism banquet. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Alex greeted back. Sarah, James, and Henri were also at the banquet, along with the girls they interviewed yesterday, including Julia Robison, Grace Luster, Jill Moser, Hannah Mifflin, and Allison Brawner. First, we painted some canvases to decorate the banquet with. We also played our favorite music of NSYNC and 98 Degrees just before the banquet began. At the banquet, there was stuffed chicken breast, sliced roast beef with mushroom gravy, pasta with marinara and alfredo sauces, roasted seasoned redskin potatoes, green beans almandine, tossed salad, rolls with butter, and a special cake. Carly, Spencer, and Mr. Benson discussed how the food would have been great to try and cook from home during Carly's middle school days, and Alex, Justin, and Max discussed how the performance would have been similar to their Christmas concert that they remember so well. For games after the banquet, we played Mummy Wrap Game, Candy Hunt, Two Truths and a Lie, Exercise Video, Junk Food Dishes, Prize Auction Game, Sleeping Bag Obstacle Challenge, Limbo Contest, I Am Going Shopping, Thumper, and Liar Liar. Then, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Alex replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
