I'm back, once again thank you for reading! I'm not sure if any of you are actually liking this, but I know it is getting views. I am moving this a long in time just because the main part of the story really hasn't taken off yet. AEW owns their people, I own mine! Enjoy!
~A Few Weeks Later - Jessica
I walked the halls at the first Dynamite after Full Gear. Storylines would be changing, and while Chris made a full recovery and is back now, the future of the Inner Circle was a bit shaky. Sammy was doing pretty well for himself, while Santana and Ortiz were getting ideas on leaving. Jake has done nothing without Chris.
I kept my head down as I looked for the Inner Circle locker room. Phil and I haven't had any contact since the kiss shared. While looks were exchanged no words were. Renee had given up, she told me, and apparently him too, that she was no longer helping either. We were adults and if we wanted to kiss we could talk too. We clearly thought otherwise.
Just as I turned the corner I ran into someone.
"Just who I wanted to see." Came the cocky voice of Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Max used to be apart of the Inner Circle but he felt that he needed to be the center of attention and left.
"What do you need from me Max?" I asked looking up at him.
"Clearly you haven't spoken to Tony or the other EVP's." He said smiling, "We're going into a storyline together." He said smiling.
"I didn't agree to that." I said, Max was the last person I wanted to be romantically linked to.
"You don't have a choice." He said.
"I really don't want to do this, I don't feel comfortable doing a romance story with you." I said trying to push past him, "I'm going to Tony."
"Oh, we won't be romantically tied, trust me…I know who you'd like to link lips with." He said smirking. What the hell was that supposed to mean? He pushed me back in front of him.
"Your situation will be like Wardlow's. You are under contract with me, Inner Circle gone, Accountabili-buddy in." He said.
"Why would it even make sense for me to leave my brother and team with you?" I asked.
"You see, I'm going into a huge storyline, one that's really going to launch my career. I need to make sure my faction branches across all divisions. Single's, tags, women's…plus I'm going to need a lot of…leverage…in this next feud." He said.
"No, I'm not doing it…I'm staying with the Inner Circle, I'm going to find Tony." I said, once again trying to push past him. He stopped me again.
"I told you Jessica, you have no choice." He pulled out his phone and turned the screen to me. I gasped. "Unless you want this picture to hit the internet." There on his phone was a photo of Phil and I kissing from a few weeks ago. He swiped to the left and a video of it started to play. His lips coming down on mine, me clearly not pulling away, only bringing him closer.
"How…" I started. He smirked.
"You should really make sure these things happen behind closed doors, but without your carelessness I wouldn't have my leverage." He said. He's going after Phil and is going to use me to do it. He was right, I didn't have a choice…if that picture came out.
"Now this is what you are going to do, you're going to go relinquish your Inner Circle vest and let them know you've signed a contract with me. Tonight you will accompany me to the ring when I crash a certain someone's promo. Don't think about telling him about any of this either…or the picture not only hits the internet…I send it to your brother." He directed me. I swallowed hard and nodded. He finally let me go and I headed to the locker room.
I pushed open the door to see their happy faces. This was going to suck.
"Hey guys," I started. "This isn't going to be easy, but I've made the decision to leave the Inner Circle."
"WHAT?" Chris yelled, I winced. "Why the hell would you do that?"
"I was given and offer I couldn't refuse…and Tony agrees it is for the best." I said, trying to leave as many details as I could out.
"Who?" Chris yelled, "Because I swear if you're going with hi…"
"It's MJF." I said quickly. The whole room went silent.
"You're going to be an Accountabili-Buddy?" Jake asked.
"Yes, it's a good opportunity." I said emotionless.
"Are you crazy?" Chris asked.
"Chris, maybe it is good for her…respect that." Sammy said sticking up for me. I smiled a sad smile as a thanks. I took off my vest and laid it down on the couch.
"I'm going to Tony." Chris said.
"Don't!" I said quickly, "It's final." With that I turned around and headed out towards MJF's locker room. I passed Phil on the way, his face concerned as I looked at the floor. As much as we aren't on good terms, I wish I could tell him about the photo and video. I pushed the door to MJF's locker room and stepped inside.
"Ah good, you're here." He said. I looked around at the others in the room. Sean looked excited, Wardlow's face matched mine. We were both forced to be here.
"Sign this." Max said, "It's a contract stating that if you turn on me in any even the photo goes out. This applies to you when accompanying any other buddy." I glared at him and signed my life away.
"How long does this last?" I asked.
"Until I'm done with you." He started, "Now get rid of the jeans and t-shirt, when you accompany me you wear nice things, like dresses and Louboutins." I rolled my eyes and left, Wardlow behind me.
"Are you serious?" I said turning to him.
"I have to follow you, it's in both of our contracts." He told me. I huffed and he followed me to wardrobe for a new outfit. They gave me a tight black dress and heels, while also letting my hair down in curls. By the time the show started I looked like a new person. By the time Phil's music hit, I had returned to Max.
"Ready doll face?" He asked me, I frowned hating this. While I didn't want to work with Phil, I didn't want to torture him either. As Phil finished laying down his lines, Max's music hit.
"Wait here, you'll know when to come out." He told me. I scowled at him. Max went on about how he was better that Phil and he was going to prove it. He told Phil that no one could count on him because he left the fans.
"Now Punk, I'd like to introduce you and everyone else to the newest Accountabili-buddy. I'm sure you know her quite well." There was my cue, my music hit and I begrudgingly went out to a shocked crowd…and Phil. I walked up and took my place next to Max. I looked at Phil with sad eyes. There was a fire in his.
"Get used to seeing her Punk…with me!" Max yelled. His music hit and we went back, the second I was behind the curtain I ran. I only stopped when I head commotion. I turned around to see Phil pushing tables and chairs over, yelling for Tony. Max got what he wanted, he struck a nerve with Phil. What Max didn't know was he wasn't prepared for this Phil…this is a dangerous Phil. He locked eyes on her and stopped.
"Jessica!" Phil yelled in my direction. I froze as he came up to me. "Can we talk somewhere private?" He asked, I nodded. We went to the first room we could find.
"What in the world are you doing with Friedman?" He asked, more hurt and less angry.
"I've decided to join his group." I said softly.
"Why?" He asked.
"It's good protection." I said, not meeting his gaze.
"Yeah?" He asked, clearly not believing me. "From who?" I had to get out of this situation and said the only thing I could think of.
"From you." I whispered.
I know it was short but I had to get to this part of the story. Jessica is now with MJF, clearly being used against Phil. How will this effect their non existent relationship? Will either survive the pain of working so closely?
