The Shinobi of the Hidden Vault 2

After having a graduation dinner and party back in the vault, Naruto had learned that he only had to go back to the ninja academy for one more day sometime next week for team assignments.
With that being said, Naruto had some time to kill and relax, and more so get himself more comfortable using the various and future arms he intends to use, on top of playing Nuka Tapper.
While the Vault wasn't entirely big as its considered to be a fractions of the size of an actual advertized vault, there was still room for the 30 residence as they all pull their weight around in ensuring that the vault was kept in tip top shape in any way or form using the commodities it had available.
Which mean there was initially a handful of needed supplies, ranging from weapons, medical supplies, and repair tools.
Thankfully the handful of people from Vault 115 all had some sort of skill to offer along with the willingness to teach others to craft things ranging from armor, weapons and weapons mods, bullets, and so on.
Having already decided that while the 10mm pistol to be more effective, and gave more utility options in terms of weapons mods, Naruto had requested to be instead given a 9mm pistol for future uses.
At the shooting range, Naruto made the most of his time as he tried to improve his accuracy and the newly installed and custom detachable mods to the weapon.
"Hm, I still got it" Naruto said to himself as he began to load in a new clip into the gun.
On average, his hit ratio was 3/5 on the bullseye target, with 7/10 shots hitting the bullseye.
"You're getting good there little bro" said Gil as he was joining Naruto for target practice for the day as he opted to use the 10mm pistol instead, showing off the weapons superior firing power and accuracy as he managed to hit his target a hundred percent with 9/10 shots always hitting the bullseye.
"Thanks, honestly I was a little hesitant to be switching to the real deal since my BB gun was destroyed, but now I'm starting to get comfortable with these" said Naruto.
"Good since it's expected that once you do go out and do missions, you'll be facing many dangers, and I've no doubt you'll have the better judgment when using any of the guns when the day arrives" said Gil.
"Thanks Gil" Naruto said with a smile before they continued their session.
Once done, Naruto went to visit the residential area armory, where the vaults blacksmith and gunsmith reside most of the time.
"Well if ain't the residential ninja" greeted a 20 something year old man with auburn hair kept in a topknot as he was hammering against some sheet metal.
"Hey Gary, just came here to see if Mitch has finished repairing my old BB gun" asked Naruto, "Hey Mitch, you got a visitor" said Gary as a middle aged man with long hair and beard as it was starting to show signs of white here and there on his chestnut hair came from around the corner.
"Nick, we've been waiting for you kid" said Mitch as he removed his welding goggles.
"Hey Mitch, is my BB gun fixed" asked Naruto, "No, no, I already told you already kid, I'll get you the parts needed to repair the gun, which by the way I already do and have laid out, but you have to come in and personally repair it" said Mitch.
"But I don't know the first thing about guns" said Naruto, "Also like I said, I'll be by your side in walking you through each step all the way, now get your ass over here in the back and I'll show you" said Mitch.
Seeing as he had nothing better to do, and in all honesty seemed like a useful skill to learn, Naruto did as Mitch said and followed him towards his station.
For the next 2 hours, Naruto had polished the wood and metal, greased up the inner gears, inserted springs, tighten in screws, while also being given the liberty to add other forms of decal and designs to it.
A new band ring at the end of the barrel, signifying the gun was either a toy or nonfatal, glow in the dark sights, and more importantly on the butt of the gun he added the Uchiha clan symbol.
"Phew I think it's finally done" said Naruto as Mitch lifted the toy rifle and levered it back and forth before smiling and handing it back to Naruto.
"Yep, did a good job kid, in fact I think you made this thing eve more powerful" said Mitch as he handed the BB gun to Naruto.
"You think so" asked Naruto, "Trust me kid, you don't build guns while trapped and locked in a damn boiler room using the bullets you have, and not know the feel of how much power the gun has" Mitch said with a smile.
"Thanks Mitch" said Naruto, "Anytime Nick, next time I'll teach you how to build bullets and maybe find a means for that gun of your to fire 10mm bullets, otherwise there was a reason why I wanted you to learn how to build this thing on your own" said Mitch.
"It's no secret that we don't have an infinite supply of scrap of whatever kind down here, as I'm usually limited to building a limited sources of arms and bullets for the time being" said Mitch.
"As such, when you're out there doing whatever it is they want you to do, promise me that when you're out there to keep your eyes peeled for anything that can be repurposed as scrap and if they have a junk yard, even better" said Mitch.
"And in return, besides teaching you the weapons trade craft that me and Gary here know, I'll build you whatever heavy duty high powered ballistic weapon that's too complex for you" said Mitch.
"Alright Mitch, sounds good to me" said Naruto, "Good to hear, no go on and enjoy your day Nick, and don't forget these" said Mitch as he handed Naruto about 500 spare BB bullets.
With his arms in check and hand, Naruto began to make his way out of the vault, where he had promised to meet up with Sasuke near the lake they had always hanged to either talk or vent or whatever maybe.
Already there, Naruto spotted Sasuke already skipping rocks, before the sound of his running footsteps caught the newly genin attention.
"What's up" greeted Sasuke, "Nothing much, just wanted to give you a little something" said Naruto as he handed over the newly built BB gun for Sasuke.
"Naruto, I can't take this" said Sasuke, "I insist you do, besides something tells me that having a team with 2 members being proficient with guns is going to keep our hides saved in future missions" said Naruto as Sasuke notice the new piece on his hip.
"What makes you think we'd even be on the same team" asked Sasuke, "I don't know but hey, doesn't hurt to be optimistic" said Naruto.
"Fair enough" said Sasuke, as he began to get a feel for the new small gun he was given and would admit for what was essentially a toy, that Naruto used to graduate, he felt pretty badass right now.
"Thanks Naruto, I really appreciate it" said Sasuke, "Anytime, now I don't suppose you're free in wanting to help me out" said Naruto.
"Depends what you had in mind" asked Sasuke as he's been an accomplish to some of Naruto's mischief before, usually either having to bail him out or at times cover the costs cause he was band for no apparent reason.
"It's no surprise that even as a citizen here, I don't know my way around the village" said Naruto, "True" said Sasuke.
"So I was wondering you wouldn't happen to know where the nearest junk yard is from here or if the village even has one" asked Naruto.
"If you don't mind, may I ask why you want to go to the junk yard" asked Sasuke, "Long story short, my vault's armory and craftsman said they could use supplies for their work, even repurposed scrap we can find" said Naruto.
"I hope you don't mean just about any scrap" asked Sasuke, "Well no, they gave me a short list of things they could need and use" said Naruto as he pulled out a sheet of people as if it was a grocery list.
"Let's see here, scrap metal, wood, screws, copper, cloth, acid, and adhesive" said Sasuke out as he knew for certain at least more than have of this stuff was indeed possible to find.
"Yeah, I think we can find what you're looking for" said Sasuke as he began to lead his blonde friend on the way to the scrap yard.
As they made their way over, both ran into a familiar face as he was walking his dog.
"Well if ain't the class rookie and failure" greeted Kiba as Akamaru yipped besides him.
"This guy… listen Kiba if you're looking for a fight maybe some other time" said Naruto, "You wish that wouldn't you" said Kiba in a smarmy manner.
"But for real though, it's a good thing I ran into you, I wanted to ask you how are things with your dog" asked Kiba, "You mean Dog Meat" asked Naruto.
"Please tell me you're joking about naming you dog that" asked Kiba, "Nope, in all honesty I'm surprised myself that he'd give a dog with name that makes people think of either a dead dog or dog steak dinner" said Sasuke.
"Seriously enough about me naming Dog Meat, what is it that you wanted to ask me about him" asked Naruto, "Right, well the thing is that my sister was actually the one to patch up your dog and told me should I run into you to inquire how's he doing and that you're more than welcome to come by our veterinary clinic for a checkup" said Kiba.
"He's doing good as far as I know, he still runs, jumps, eats, and sleeps good as far as I can tell and see" said Naruto honestly, "Well that's good to hear, anyways I got things to do" said Kiba as he was about to dip.
"Hey Kiba, thanks for asking about my dog" said Naruto with a smile as Kiba waved him off, as the duo made their way towards the scrap yard.
Upon getting there, they notice that a group of 10 large men were outside the gates of the scrap yard, as they all held picket signs and were marching in protest.
"Hey, what the hell is going on here" asked Sasuke as he ran up to one of the protestors, "We're protesting here kid, what does it look like" the guys said sarcastically.
"We can see that, but why" asked Naruto, "Our foreman refuses to pay us more than what we've all been doing these past few weeks, so until he gives in to our demands, we'll refuse to do any sort of work" said the man.
"So wait can we even get in" asked Naruto, "Nope no one's allowed to go in, since our foreman locked the front gate as he sits in his office with his thumb up his ass, expecting us to give, but we'll show him" said the man.
Hearing that really wasn't the news Naruto or Sasuke were hoping to hear, while they should do the smart thing and come back later on in hopes things should clear up, they were ninja and had a civic duty to help the citizens of Konoha.
"What if we help you guys out and talk to your foreman, then can we proceed to grab what we need and want in there" asked Naruto.
"You talk to the foreman and heed to our commands, and I'll tell you what, you're allowed in here whenever you want and whatever crap you want, we'll hold on and set aside for you boys" said the worker.
"Sounds good to me" said Naruto as Sasuke nodded to this deal, "Alright, there's a hidden entrance on the other side of the junk yard, you 2 should be able to get through" said the protestor.
Making their way around, Naruto and Sasuke found the hidden passage and slipped through, before walking all the way back around to see portable office just by the entrance.
Just as they were about to enter, they heard some talking on the phone.
"Sir this isn't fair… no I don't agree with you're saying… I don't care what the hell you do to me, those are all good men out there so if you want to do your worst, you deal with me" said someone from inside.
Wanting to know more, both Naruto and Sasuke entered in the office to see the foreman slamming the phone as he hung up.
"That son of a bitch. Oh sorry, I wasn't expecting any company, I'm sorry but we're closed until further notice" said the foreman as he deflate towards the very end.
"Can we ask as to what that was all about" asked Sasuke, "Sigh, no need to concern yourself about such trivial manners like this children, now run along from wherever you entered from" said the foreman.
"Hey we want to help, we're ninja's here of Konoha" said Naruto as the foreman seemed to panic, "Oh god, please tell me you're not already here to assassinate me" said the foreman in a panic.
"Relax, we're not here to kill you, we just want to figure things out so we can clear things up" said Naruto, "Though from what you assumed, I take it you got some dirty secret you don't want to be shared, so I think it's better if you talked" said Sasuke.
"Alright, alright you've already made your point and twisted my arm here" said the foreman.
"Truth of the matter is that my boss is a tyrannical man having black mail material of a time where I not only gambled away the life savings of my me and my wife, but an affair I unfortunately had during that time" explained the foreman.
"Having no choice, he forced me into this position, to oversee that the men working here work hard for essentially peanuts, which honestly isn't fair for any of them" said the foreman.
"Why not confront him than, I say that'll settle things" said Naruto, "Easier said than done, he has this big body guard of his named Tenma, a man you should not cross" said the foreman.
"No problem, we can kick his ass no problem and force you guys to talk" said Naruto, "Of that could risk the chance of aggravating his boss in not only firing him, but everyone else, but who knows what else" said Sasuke.
"Your friends right, but here's a crazy idea, if you both can find some more incriminating black mail material, then he'll have no choice but to submit" said the foreman.
"Alright, I can get behind that" said Naruto, "Yeah, all that's missing is a name and place" said Sasuke, "He's got an office back in town, called Demolition Experts At they're Designation, look for the office that says Mero Shichihara" said the foreman.
"Right we'll get on it" said Naruto, "Thank you boys, from the bottom of my heart" said the foreman as he handed them both the keys to the front gate.
Upon exiting the front gate, Sasuke and Naruto told the workers that things will clear out soon enough, before heading back into town.
After getting some directions, Naruto and Sasuke found the place they were looking for, and to their surprise the office was closed for lunch, giving Naruto and Sasuke to find a way to get in.
"So how should we do this" Naruto said out loud, "Why not pick the lock" said Sasuke as he pointed at the simple locked door.
"Ha, very funny Sasuke, but if you haven't seen during my exam, I kinda suck at lock picking" said Naruto as he wanted to say he was better at lock picking than hacking, but not by a lot, nor was it really relevant.
"Then let me give it a try" said Sasuke as he found the skill of lock picking to be intriguing enough that he wanted to learn it as well, and developed a knack for it in his free time.
"You wouldn't happen to have a bobby pin and a flathead would you" asked Sasuke as Naruto indeed had the objects he was asking for.
Within 12 seconds, Sasuke successfully broke in, before they made their way inside the office.
Searching drawers, folder, it wasn't after discovering a hidden safe behind a photo, and the code to it under said photo, both managed to break in.
"Let's see what we got here" said Sasuke as he pulled out a folder containing not only the black mail material on the foreman, but on his boss Mero to, mainly on the lines of tax fraud and the names of other people he had blackmail material on.
"Ooh boy, if he doesn't comply, he better pray for a light sentence and a fine" said Naruto, "No such thing will happen" said the voice of none other than Mero as standing next to him was his giant enforcer Tenma.
"What you boys have in your hands is very delicate material on yours truly, leave it back in the safe and leave now, and I won't have Tenma here beat the shit out of both of you" said Mero.
"Your body guard doesn't scare us and what your doing is wrong" said Naruto, "So do us a favor instead and submit to our foreman friends demands, otherwise expect to find a new room and space in a jail cell" said Sasuke.
"I'll be sure to visit him and his wife after this, Tenma take care of these brats immediately" said Mero.
The hulking brute cracked his knuckles as he approached the young ninja's, but Sasuke didn't flinch as he maneuvered his way behind him and kick him the back of his leg, causing him to kneel down.
Not letting Sasuke have all the fun, Naruto ran up ready to punch the man, but Tenma reacted fast and stopped Naruto's fist, before picking him up and slamming him on his boss' desk.
"Naruto!" Sasuke said in worriment, before Tenma turned around and held Sasuke down in a head lock.
Not out for the count, Naruto picked himself up, and while he was tempted to use the 9mm he had on his hip, he remembered he only had actual lead rounds loaded in it.
And that's when he remembered Sasuke had his BB gun on his back still.
Making a suicide run, Naruto pounced on top of Tenma, before the enforcer caught him and pushed Naruto back, not realizing the BB gun back in the blonds hand.
"Hey Tenma, clench your teeth" said Naruto before firing a BB in his face, as the man released his hold on Sasuke as grabbed his face.
"Son of a bitch you little shit that hurt" hissed Tenma as Naruto helped Sasuke up, before both delivered the finishing blow, with Naruto drop kicking him in the chest and Sasuke a haymaker punch to the face, knocking the man out.
Seeing his main enforcer down, Sasuke and Naruto really had no business dealing with this man other more as they already made their claims as they slipped by him.
"We'll expect to hear some good news when we get back to the junk yard" said Sasuke as Mero stood there and shook in rage as there was nothing he can do, except try to hit Naruto and Sasuke, but the most likely outcome he'll get his ass kicked, and if he's lucky, not get thrown in jail.
As they made it back to the junk yard at last, Naruto and Sasuke saw the protestors/ workers back at work, and the foreman waiting for them at the front gate.
"I don't know what you guys did, but Mero seems more compliant now" said the foreman, "No worries we're here to help the citizens of Konoha whenever we can" said Naruto.
"Well ain't that nice of you 2, anyways my boys informed me of the deal you made, and I approve of it, but also I wanted to give you both a little something extra" said the foreman as he handed them both 100,000 yen in cash.
"We didn't do this for any money" said Naruto, "I know you didn't, consider it a bonus, now tell me what you kids need and I'll have one of my boys help you out" said the foreman as they handed not only the list, but the blackmail material they had gathered for the foreman.
Later
Hauling a big bag of scrap on his back, while Sasuke held a small portion and some purchased groceries, both made it back to Vault 115 together.
"Wait till Mitch and Gary have to hear what I have in store for them" said Naruto with a smile, "I'll admit today was adventurous and fun" said Sasuke.
"Still can't believe that you happen know some basic household objects that contains acid" laughed Naruto, "Hey give me some credit, my dad was a cop, so of course I'd pick up on stuff criminals might use to hide their evidence.
"Well whatever the case be, I'm honestly curious to try these things called tacos my brother kept talking about" said Naruto as both also had materials for a taco dinner night.
"Honestly, I don't care what your mom makes, I happen to like her cooking" said Sasuke as both were outside the vaults entrance.
Waiting for the whole opening and closing process, the duo finally made their way back with Mitch and Gary with the promised goods.
"Sam it's good to see you here son and welcome back Nick" said Mitch, "Hey guys, we got you the things you need" said Naruto as he dropped them the promised loot.
"My god, you boys did good, with this we can definitely build you both whatever weapon you want, though there is a limit to what we can craft" said Gary.
"A new bat for me would be awesome, and I'll leave it to your imagination to make it not only more deadly, but intimidating" said Naruto, "One bat coming up, and fore you Sam" asked Gary.
"Just make me a really good bladed weapon" said Sasuke, "Alright, I'll be sure to have Nick here send whatever I make you" said Gary.
"Alright kids, go enjoy your day now" said Mitch as Naruto and Sasuke stepped out the armory, Naruto saw his pip-boy acting up.
"What's going on" asked Sasuke, "I don't know" said Naruto as he fiddled with his pip-boy to see a notification that said to select a perk.
"Weird" said Naruto as he recalled that Gil mentioned this will happen on occasion, and that to make best use of his perks was to by using those that are either strongly compatible with what makes him S.P.E.C.I.A.L., or to compensate him with whatever he's lacking in said department.
In terms what made him S.P.E.C.I.A.L., it was obviously his high endurance and luck, while he could admit he was lack in both the perception and intelligence department, granted wasn't bad, but it was below average.
Out of all the perks that got his attention, the one that stood out the most was the one that read 'Mysterious Stranger', so he selected it.
"Everything good" asked Sasuke, "I think so" said Naruto as both decided to shrug it off before going to enjoy some dinner, Red Menace, and read up on the latest issue of 'Guns and Bullets'.
