The Shinobi from the Hidden Vault 5

Ever since they passed their final exams to become field genin, Team 7 has been doing various D-rank missions for the sake of not only getting compensated, but a feel for what taking missions and the process is like.
Admittingly, while the missions were mundane and overall question the authenticity in regards to doing shinobi work, it actually gave Naruto a sense to have a feel for Konoha, a home to where he feels a stranger towards.
Otherwise Sasuke was tempted to call out Kakashi to give them some real work, while Sakura honestly didn't felt like doing back breaking labor jobs anymore.
But in their down time, they all became closer as not on as a team, but friends and while Naruto was willing to take pointers to polish his Shinobi skills, he was offering to teach them survival and various crafting skills to his friends.
"While you do want to aim down, you don't want to keep your face resting on the actual gun since you're likely to have the recoil kicking back and hurting you" called Naruto as he stood a few yards away from Sasuke, while wearing sunglasses.
"I get it, now remember to visually picture yourself from a safe distance at the last split second, otherwise the Substitution jutsu isn't gonna work" said Sasuke as he lifted his face off his BB gun.
"Please boys, don't try and hurt yourselves to bad" said Sakura as she was reading a D.C. Medical Journal text, while eating some Fancy Lad Snack Cakes.
"No promises" said Naruto before looking back at Sasuke, where he gave him a thumbs up, before the blonde returned the same gesture.
Pulling the trigger, Naruto did what Sasuke instructed and managed to pull off the substitution jutsu as he came barreling next to the log that took his place.
"Yes, I finally did it" cheered Naruto as he got to his feet, as Sasuke approached his friend to give him a high five.
"You do know, that practically everyone back in our class can do that jutsu right" said Sakura as she got up to approach the duo.
"True, but you guys were trained to prepare yourselves from kunai, shuriken and whatever, I'm practically training to dodge bullets" said Naruto triumphantly, "You do have a point there" admitted Sakura.
"However, you're all ninja, and definitely shouldn't forget that you'll be facing against other ninja's that might surprise you" came the voice of Kakashi.
"You know to say that you're late, would be pointing out the obvious and would serve nothing more than an over redundant joke" said Naruto.
"Sorry, but I did had genuine business today discussing with our Lord Hokage, who wishes to talk to you immediately Naruto" said Kakashi as this got everyone's attention.
"Is everything going to be alright with him" asked Sakura as she has been showing genuine concern for her fellow teammate, "He wouldn't say, just it has to do something with his ninja training, or better said lack thereof" said Kakashi.
"Glad to know he cares" said Naruto as there was no sarcasm in his voice, considering how the 3rd Hokage did try his best to look after Naruto up until his adoption in vault 115.
"Well with that being said, I suppose I should actually help the 2 of you further advancing your chakra control in the mean time" said Kakashi as he approached Sasuke and Sakura as Naruto was beginning to head out.
"Naruto, we'll catch up later on alright" said Sasuke, "Sounds like a plan" said Naruto as he began to make the long walk towards the Hokage office.
Aside from the vault, the only people that never viewed Naruto with disdain, spite or hate were his fellow shinobi, and so his usual visits towards the Hokage office was more than pleasant.
Eventually Naruto entered past the 2 doors where he was left standing face to face with lord 3rd himself as he was puffing from his pipe.
"Hello Naruto, it's been a while hasn't it" said Lord 3rd, "I think the last time we chatted was about a year ago if I'm not mistaken" said Naruto.
"Quite so, and I think an apology is in order for that" said Lord 3rd, "Hey no need, I've been living a quaint happy life in the vault and with my best friend" said Naruto.
"Yes I indeed remember that very faithful day" said Lord 3rd as his thought drifted back into yesteryear.
It was shortly after his first discussion and contact with Gil that Lord 3rd heard the news of how the man in the infamous vault 115 jumpsuit had killed one of his citizens and threaten to kill them all should they continue to torment young Naruto.
Not wanting to take a chance, Gild had decided at that moment he'd take Naruto back with him to the vault where the following morning Lord 3rd himself and a small army of his best ninjas followed them back to vault 115.
What should've ended in a bloody war, a compromise and pardon was made, where in return for delivering a monthly supply of food, water, and medicine, they were to house and raise Naruto, while also sending him to the ninja academy once he came of age to enroll.
Of course that was the abridged version, while also glossing over other events in Konoha, like how they stopped the kidnapping of the then heiress of the Hyuga clan, Hinata, or how they were all in part of the collaboration on the night of the Uchiha Clan Massacre, all stories best remembered and told for another day.
But right now, Lord 3rd wanted to discuss with Naruto of a story way before the involvement of Vault 115, at least part of it.
"However I should apologize for what you had to go through on your final exam when Mizuki told you about the reason why you were treated with such animosity" said Lord 3rd.
"Oh yeah, man I completely forgot about that, in fact I've been meaning to talk to you about it, but you know you forget things when doing things" said Naruto.
"True words of wisdom, and I should apologize for not discussing you with this a lot sooner, in fact I was hoping to hold this knowledge off for when you turned 16" said Lord 3rd.
"Actually thank god you didn't since that's the age when I and everyone back in the vault are to take our G.O.A.T. test and well… I rather not be suffering from an identity crisis during that period" said Naruto.
"Well I guess things played out then, now back to the topic at hand" said Lord 3rd as he bit down on his pipe before he could tell Naruto he needs to know.
"It is true that on the night you were born, the 4th Hokage had selected you as a medium to keep the 9 tailed fox prisoner inside of you, for the safety of our village, and while knowledge of this was only known to the adults at the time, it was actually discussed to share of this knowledge so that you be viewed and treated as a hero" said Lord 3rd.
"However many lives were lost that night, many children were left orphaned, and those who died that night either trying to stop the rampage of the 9 tailed fox or were innocent casualties trying to escape, held great resentment towards the monster and the child who now contains it" continued Lord 3rd.
"As such, there was a law written that this knowledge that you being the jailer of the 9 tailed fox was to be kept a secret for future generations and outsiders, for not only security reasons, but with the high hopes of you making friends" said Lord 3rd.
"But I did made friends, hell Sasuke's my best friend, my bro for life ya know" said Naruto, "Yes I am aware of that, though we can't forget the blind hatred that many adults and ninja it seems now, that they hold blind hatred towards you" said Lord 3rd.
"Look I agree that my life was crappy up until I moved into the vault, and while I would rather have had this knowledge be shared with me a lot sooner, I appreciate the intention behind it all" said Naruto.
"Hmm, truly you've grown up to be a fine young man and shinobi Naruto" said Lord 3rd with a smile.
"Thank you old man" said Naruto, "Now that this knowledge has been shared with you, let's get back to another matter at hand" said Lord 3rd.
"It goes without saying that your ninjutsu skills are indeed…mediocre" said Lord 3rd, "Hey no need to be kind with me now, I know as well as the next guy back in my class I couldn't transform into you, much less anyone else" said Naruto.
"Just trying to be nice here, now it seems after doing some thorough research I think we found the problem towards why you were having a hard time performing some of the most basic jutsu's" said Lord 3rd.
"Really, you sure that I don't suck or have no chakra control or reserves" said Naruto, "Nope on the contrary, in fact you have so much chakra reserves that making you do the basics caused a level of backfire, that and I assume you never trained on chakra control back in the vault" said Lord 3rd.
"Guilty as charged" said Naruto, "Right, well while I've no doubt you can learn some basic chakra control with your sensei, for now I'd like to test something out with you" said Lord 3rd.
"Ok, but it better not be me trying to do the clone jutsu again" said Naruto, "No promises" said Lord 3rd as he began to lead Naruto out of the office and somewhere else.
Walking down a flight of stairs, Naruto found himself in a dark cold room with but a handful of torches to brighten the area, as Lord 3rd sealed the doors behind him.
Eventually both stood in front of a giant scroll that could only be carried on back as Lord 3rd walked around it, and placed his hands on top of it.
"This here is a scroll containing but a small collection of some forbidden jutsu's that's been kept secret here, and only in private use for the Hokage or those deemed worthy to learn from it" said Lord 3rd.
Seeing how he was standing in front of something so cool right now, Naruto was starting to feel pretty badass right now as he reached toward the scroll only for Lord 3rd to swat it away.
"Naruto, you must swear to me that whatever it is you learn in this scroll, that you will not share with anyone, understood" said Lord 3rd, "You have my word gramps" said Naruto as he shook his arm from the stinging pain.
Handing Naruto the scroll, Naruto began to read through to see if any of this could be useful and of use to him, while also asking Lord 3rd questions as to what do they do.
Throughout this whole endeavor, Naruto was able to leave that building around nightfall with the knowledge of learning 3 forbidden jutsu's, while also learning some death causing to even genocidal jutsu's he hope no one would be desperate or stupid enough to ever use.
Ready to make the long journey back home, he ran into a familiar face who was with some fast company of her own.
"Naruto, what are you doing here so late wondering around the village" said Kiba as he turned to greet Naruto, "How did you know I was behind you guys" asked Naruto.
"Me and Akamaru here can smell you" said Kiba as the puppy dog resting on his head yipped in agreement.
"I'll take your word for it, anyways, if you guys don't mind I got a vault to get to and a hot meal waiting for me" said Naruto as he was ready to bounce.
"Hold your horses now, it's kinda rude to just leave after not seeing a familiar face for some time" said Kiba, "He's right you know" said Shino as Naruto finally took note of the guy.
Honestly when it came down to it, Shino wasn't a guys whom Naruto gave much thought on and he could assume that the feeling was a 100% mutual.
"Guys, Naruto seems to be in a hurry, maybe we can all chat at another time" said Hinata before making eye contact with Naruto, "Hey Hinata" said Naruto calmly as Hinata blushed a little more.
"Hi" squeaked Hinata as she began to advert her eyes from Naruto, who was still confused why since she was one of the people who not only looked out for him, but never had anything bad to say.
Frankly speaking, he wouldn't mind hanging out with Hinata more often, maybe even invite her to the vault and meet the family, granted he'd risked getting teased from his mom, but what can Naruto say, Hinata was a friendly face he missed dearly.
"Come on Hinata, I know you've been wanting to meet Naruto more than any of us, right Shino" said Kiba playfully as Hinata began to blush further that steam blew off the top of her head.
"That's enough Kiba, we shouldn't be teasing or own teammates like that" said Shino as Kiba spotted some bugs crawling around the left side of his face.
"Alright man, I'm sorry for pushing it" said Kiba, "Apologize to Hinata, not me" said Shino, "Right, sorry Hinata".
"Well, it's good to see you guys again, but like I said I got a home to get back to" said Naruto, "Seriously man, we hardly see each other, besides I'm sure you've got some interesting mission stories to share by now right" said Kiba.
"No, not really" admitted Naruto, "Come on man, just a few days ago we were hired to help escort this water merchant to pick up some fresh water from a river outside the village, claiming that it was later suppose to be sent back to your vault" said Kiba.
"Really, well shoot thanks guys, me and everyone back in the vault really appreciate it" said Naruto, "Yeah, granted we hoped that we could face against some bandits or even something vicious, but I guess they were to intimidated by yours truly" bragged Kiba.
"I'm sure they were" said Naruto as he rolled his eyes, "But seriously man, something interesting must have happened to you lately" asked Kiba.
"All we've been doing is nothing but essentially community service missions, that pays only for lunch and dinner for that day, but honestly I'm fine with it since I generally tend to find myself with an abundance of scrap at the end of the day" said Naruto.
"Scrap, what do you mean by that" asked Kiba, as Naruto sought to demonstrate by pulling out a tin can.
"Stuff like this" said Naruto, "If you're collecting clans to be taken to the recycling center for some extra pocket money, you're better off taking a more challenging mission" said Kiba.
"I'll have you know, this is a highly valued resource back in my vault" said Naruto, "What are you serious man" laughed Kiba as Naruto decided that he was better of giving a visual example.
"Alright chuckle nuts, let me show you" said Naruto as he set down the can and amazed the trio by revealing one of the 3 forbidden jutsu's he's learned.
In an instant the once tin can was now just a small cube of lead, to which Naruto picked up as he tossed it up and down.
"You see, tin cans are made up of a material called lead, now lead is important in regards to me should I want to keep myself well stock on ammunition for this thing" said Naruto as he patted his 9mm pistol on his hip.
"So, got anything else you want to ask me" said Naruto with a smug smile, "Yeah, what the hell did you did to make that can into lead" said Kiba as the trio got close to Naruto to thoroughly examine the cube.
"You know, just something I picked up from the vault" lied Naruto as he knew full well the capabilities this jutsu has.
Besides being able to break things down to its basic necessary materials, he could read anything of its material property values, making scrap hunting easier, but also to craft things whatever he wanted on the go.
When asked who was the person behind creating this jutsu, Lord 3rd responded that according to legend and during the early days of when Konoha was being built, supposably a hero with long red hair came into town, and in a single day, was able to build the hidden leaf village, since the village construction would've taken months to be built still.
As for what became of him and what was his name, Lord 3rd said that he was simply known as a Soldier who only wanted to spread good, before being sent back to Hell again.
"Wait, I thought you said that the people in the vault didn't know anything about shinobi life and thought that we were all nothing but a bunch of communists" said Kiba.
"Um yeah, about that…" said Naruto as he needed an excuse to not share the knowledge he had learned.
"I gotta go" said Naruto as he dipped into an alley way next to them and waved the trio goodbye, "Till next time guys".
Once he was certain he was far away and out of sight, Naruto decided to use the only other forbidden jutsu he had learned.
Apparently it was one used by the 4th Hokage, and while Lord 3rd did inform that this would take years of training to discipline to accomplish this, on top of the processing of needing to write seals, Naruto was able to skip all that and literally improved on it within an hour, and it was all thanks to his pip-boy.
So without any worries, Naruto activated his pip-boy and looked up the maps before concentrating his chakra onto the device before tapping on the markings to vault 115.
Within seconds Naruto was standing just outside his vault with a smile on his face and a story to tell and share since something tells him that life in the vault will be a lot more easier for the citizens inside.
Alright guys, this is the last chapter I'm going to publish for now, but who knows when I'll come back to continue this and if I get any positive feedback, I might come back for another chapter or 2.
