Extra Chapter II

…. Or How Did Kaoru (and Ari) Figure Out Fuu's True Hair Color

The sound of her nephew whining and calling her made Kaoru wake in a start. Ari was shaking and his face was dampened by the big pearly tears that were falling from his eyes.

"What's wrong?" she said, holding his small trembling hands.

"Uh-It's... It's... Mewwezhaaafaaaaaaauuuuuuhhhhuuuuuuuhhhh..."

"Ari, calm down. What's wrong? Did you have another nightmare?"

"Nooooo... It's... Miyu... Sh-she, she lost all her hair, sniff... and green hair, ugh... are growing, ugh... I-I think she's gonna diiiiiwuuuuuuhhhh..."

What the... Kaoru leaped over her nephew and checked on the girl who was still sound asleep despite the din that her nephew was making. The dark mahogany hair were indeed misplaced as if not belonging to the head anymore, and were instead giving a glimpse of pale green hair that were originating from the scalp. Kaoru touched the dark hair and sighed. It's just a wig... She turned to her nephew and said: "Hey, nobody's gonna die tonight. It's just a wig."

"Ah. Okay." Ari sniffed one last time then wiped away his tears and looked as if nothing ever happened.

'Ah. Okay.' That's it? I thought I was going to have a heart attack! Huh, children...

In the meantime, Takeshi woke up and decided to check what was going on in the room. He knocked at the door twice and asked with a faint voice: "Oih... You okay...?"

"Yeah, yeah. Don't worry, it's nothing... Ari..."

"Mmmkay... 'Night."

A thud from the other part of the wall indicated he had already went back to sleep. She stirred then crawled to get to her futon, but her nephew hold her from the bottom of her shirt: "Auntie, now I need to go to the toilet." Kaoru glare at the small boy, but instead of feeling intimidated, he crossed his arms and said: "Toilets are scary at night. I can't go alone, I'm to small."

Kaoru clenched her fist. She wasn't going to sleep any time soon it seemed.

"Okay, let's go..."

Notes: I figured I should give an explanation of how Kaoru knew that Fuu was wearing a wig (cf Chapter 14)... Tell me what do you think of these kind of 'Extra Chapters', constructive criticism is always welcome.
