It's a quiet and early morning for Eva and Sparda and their little one, peaceful and slow and warm, and it's then and there they decide - they never want anything else but this.

Dante and Lady manage to get together, settle down, and have a beautiful daughter, Kalina Nelleva. However, they're far from parenting her alone, Kalina grows up and is influenced by the loving family known only as Devil May Cry, as well as her bladed grumpy best friend, the sword Alastor.

The veil between the human world and Hell is starting to thin, old seals cracking and barely holding up. Sparda is determined to be once again the shield of humanity and works tirelessly to find a solution - even at the cost of his own health, it seems. Eva is having absolutely none of that and intervenes. If he cannot take care of himself like he should, then she will.

Dante gets stuck with a cat he tries to offload onto others, until Vergil realises that the cat is not your typical cat.

Even nervous and anxious as she is, Eva's mind is set: She is going to confess to Sparda the next chance she gets. They have waited long enough for this, for them. And in the end, all the waiting might actually pay off.

In order to ensure Kyrie leads the perfect life, Nero has to leave behind the very girl he cares most for. Maybe in time the memories will fade. Vergil finds one of Nero's Devil Bringers and it leads to a brief moment of bonding. Spoiler: Post DMC5 with presumed return of Vergil and Dante from Hell at some point in the future.

Life hadn't been kind to them, not in the slightest, and when they had leapt off of the Qliphoth neither of them had expected to be thrown back into their seven year old bodies. It would seem like a gift from the gods, this second lease on life, but they know better. There were no gods. Only demons and humans, and they were right there in between the two.

Winter rolls around with snow in tow, much to Eva's joy, and she is determined to share it with Sparda. He, meanwhile, is more willing to follow her lead than she might yet realize.

Dante is glad to be back from the Underworld. And his brother has come back with him. Voluntarily. Could this get any better? Yes. With an improvised "Welcome-back" party for himself. But his friends seem to be in a bad mood and Vergil suddenly starts to act weird. Honestly, having fun around those people was hard work.

DMC5 post-canon. After the Sparda brothers leave for the Underworld, it's up to the people that remain to take stock of what they left behind. Features basically the entire cast dealing with the practical and emotional consequences of their last adventure.
