Sokai Week 2021- Day 3 Melody
It was the Middle School Dance. Dress was Semi-formal, as he messed with it in the mirror. Fourteen year old Sora, hated his hair was. No matter what he did he couldn't make it presentable like Riku's who had tied it neatly into a ponytail. As he gave up and made his way out. He noticed Riku wearing a white vest with an off-white shirt and pants. The the girls were swooning over him; even Selphie. Sora couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy for how good Riku looked. All he had was a pair of nice jeans and a light blue polo shirt; And of course his spiky earth.
He suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder. "Ready to have fun?" asked a familiar voice asked. Sora turned to see Kairi, he quickly shook off the blush that immediately flushed up to his face. As he looked at the red head was wearing, a light pink dress with short sleeves, the skirt, of the dress, going just above her knees. With nice white flats, her usual necklace and her hair cut short. He smiled getting lost in how simple but beautiful she looked. However her voice brought him back to reality. "Sora? Hello?"
Sora jumped a little. "Uh yeah, yeah?!" he asked quickly. Kairi merely giggled and pulled him inside just as they entered. A Slow waltz began to play. Sora fighting embarrassment turned to her. "Kairi….want to dance?!" he asked quickly.
Kairi smiled, "Of course." They held each other's arms and began to dance. As they began to keep with the beat something about the melody helped them to move to it much more smoothly. Somehow they were able to read each other's thoughts and movements. A bit clusmly but soon they were dancing perfectly. Everyone watched in awe even the girls swooning over Riku who could see that they were in their own little world. Spinning together before one spun the other. Eventually the music began to slow. The two stopped. And were staring into each other's eyes; it was like that for a few minutes until Tidus coughed. That brought them back to reality. The melody was instantly replaced by the song electric slide which the other kids immediately took too with vigor, Including Riku. Sora and Kairi hung back a bit embarrassed but happy for having danced to that one Melody.
So something that bugs me is having shorter one shots, but if no one cares about that I won't
