I've only seen the 2019 film, got inspired by a comment about Laurie's character appearing "rather satisfied" when revealing his pet name "My Lord" from Amy to Jo. So I wrote this predominately art fantasy/erotic piece. I wasn't sure about seeing it through the whole scene but decided to go all lemon. One-shot. Hope you like it.

An extension of a scene in chapter 23, "Under the Umbrella". A shopkeeper mistakes Jo and Friedrich for a couple. He's wrong, of course ... but only by a few minutes.

Before Jo started writing to please the public, she wrote only for herself. I imagined her writing fictional snippets about romance, war, and antiquity, all of which seemed to appeal to her at the time. This is a story without end or beginning that I think Jo would have written something similar to.
