He pulled into Dunkin Donuts, putting the car in park he looked over at her,
"C'mon, we both need it" he motioned to the building. She unbuckled and followed him in.
"Blake, the usual?" a female voice called.
"Yeah and whatever Clarke wants" he called over the counter. A tall blonde girl's head popped over the counter.
"Hi, I'm Niylah"
"Clarke" she answered with a wave.
"Well Clarke, what can I get you?"
"Caramel Latte, hot, with whole milk please"
"You got it" she smiled before going back to making there drinks. The bells on the door jingled behind them just as Niylah set there drinks down.
"That will be $6.82" Clarke went to get her card out of her phone case.
"I got it, least I could do after keeping you awake all night" Bellamy handed Niylah cash. Niylah raised her eyebrows at him, and the group behind them snickered, Clarke blushed knowing it had to do with the wording.
"Not like that" he laughed.
Bellamy grabbed his coffee and turned to look who was behind them. Finn, Murphy, and Jasper.
"You three are up early" he commented. Clarke took her coffee turning to see who Bellamy was talking to.
"You look well rested, even had time to take a shower, he couldn't have kept you up that late" Finn laughed, motioning to her wet hair.
"She was walking in the rain, and you have the maturity level of a ten year old" Bellamy moved to the door, holding it open for Clarke. She walked out in front of him, climbing back in the truck. He hopped in next to her.
"Thank you for the coffee" she spoke quietly.
"Your welcome, I wouldn't have stopped if I knew the three stooges would be in this early." he smiled backing out of the parking lot.
"That's okay, they aren't that bad, it's like having little kids around" she smiled.
"Yeah, I suppose your right." he stole another glance at her, her hair was starting to dry, her blue eyes were bright over her cup.
"I need to stop at the town building, and then a storage unit O and I have for the store. Then I will gladly return you to your house"
"Okay, I haven't been out much, so I'm enjoying getting to see everything" she smiled.
"I can show you around this week, if you would like?" he offered.
"I would like that" she replied looking out the window at passing store fronts.
"How about Thursday?"
"Yeah, I work till one"
"I know, I make the schedule." he laughed.
...
Thursday came quick, Clarke opened the store, she stayed busy stocking the shelves with the items her and Bellamy picked up from the storage unit.
Octavia came in at noon and they worked together for an hour. At one the bells signaled someone else was in the store, Clarke switched aisles to see who it was. Bellamy and Lincoln talked over by the register. Lincoln had a bag from the deli in his hand.
"What's in the bag?" Clarke asked.
"Lunch for Octavia" he smiled.
"Oh, I see how it is" she laughed.
"Yours is in the truck" Bellamy laughed, "get your stuff, lot's to see."
She went to the back and grabbed her sweatshirt. Octavia stopped her before she went back out.
"He changed that shirt four times before he left the house, He actually seems excited to show you around, have a good time. " she smiled.
"Thanks, I'm excited to see everything"
She emerged from the back.
"That shirt looks good on you, I like the color" Clarke complimented him in his maroon long sleeve, as she walked past him to the door. He turned giving Octavia the thumbs up. She smiled and mouthed 'Told you'.
Once the door closed Lincoln turned to face her,
"So, what is that, do you think?"
"I don't know, he seemed nervous this morning. But he is also Bellamy so it could be nothing. Does Clarke seem like its more, or nothing?"
"She seems at ease with him, like she is with me but nothing more that I noticed."
"Either way they both left smiling, that's all that matters" she smiled nodding to the back room.
"Let's Eat" He grabbed the bag following her.
Bellamy pulled into a parking lot.
"This is the Longstreet Tower. I figured it's not that busy this time of day, we can eat lunch up top." She peered out her window to the top.
He hopped out and was waiting for her, she emptied her pockets, leaving her phone and keys in his cup holder before putting her sweatshirt on and stepping out.
Halfway up the tower he thanked his lucky stars she was in front of him. He wouldn't lie, his gaze was fixed on her, he'd follow that ass anywhere. They sat up top
eating and taking in the view. He wondered if she would be interested in a little fun, it would be more convenient than Roma, of if she would be offended by the
question. He wondered who was texting her he loved her a few days ago, and why she would hang out with him if she had a boyfriend. There was a bunch of stuff he
was curious about, but he knew now was not the time to inquire. He loved how she took everything in, how she listened intently to all the history stuff he was
spewing her way, she asked questions and seemed genuinely interested. She was so different from any girl he had hung out with. He had no doubts that they could
do this for hours.
At nine O'clock it was starting to get dark and Lincoln was starting to wonder if there was more than he had seen, she still wasn't home, how much could there be to see in town. He was just about to text her when he heard Bellamy's truck pull into his driveway.
He could see the driveway from where he was sitting. She got out of the truck talking away, arms full of stuff. Bellamy walked in front of her towards the house, carrying a bag, he lost sight of them seconds before the door opened. They dogs hit there feet excited to see her. She walked in the living room unloading her arms on to the coffee table.
"Wow, you two were busy" Lincoln laughed. Souvenirs and pamphlets were sliding off on to the floor. He was trying to save as many as he could and re stack the table so they stayed.
"We had a blast, we ate lunch in Longstreet tower, walked the battlefield, walked through town, went to the museum" She held her hand out to Bellamy and he gave her the bag, she pulled out a handful of pamphlets. She handed them to Lincoln.
"Look at all the ghost tours, maybe we can all do one this weekend or next" she smiled.
"Did you drink coffee recently?" he laughed.
"An hour ago" she answered quickly.
"Alright, I'm exhausted, I had a blast, and I'm sure you want to tell Lincoln all about it" Bellamy stretched.
Lincoln sent him an amused look.
"G'night" Lincoln called as he walked towards the door. Clarke followed him to the door.
"Thanks, I had a lot of fun"
"Me too, even saw some stuff I missed living here" he smiled stepping off her small patio.
"Thanks again"
"Anytime, see you tomorrow" he gave a small wave before walking across the lawn.
Clarke shut the door before joining Lincoln on the couch.
"So what do you think, did you see one you like?" she asked.
He turned and looked at her.
"You have been gone twenty seconds, I think no more coffee after noon" he laughed
