Progress check: I have made no progress on part 4 that's not to say I don't have ideas but contrary to popular belief I do have a life which involves family, college, and actually trying to make something of myself meaning trying to be a voice actor and right after make a YouTube channel and if I'm lucky introduce an original series codenamed Project: Haven to not only 100,000 people but also to a studio
Personal ambitions and failings aside I thought I'd make ONE MORE chapter to tide you guys over and satisfy any over achievers that are already in the process of making 50 comics of varying lengths for this AU and may tell the story using the elements here since I did say you could do that
So if you don't want the story spoiled just stick to Characters, but if you want an idea of the story going forward then keep going to Story
Characters
Since part 3 is still the half way point of the story it only makes sense to document the changes the characters have gone through at this point and how they look now
Sunny: By this point Sunny has very much come out of his shell practically to the point of being very witty and showing much more emotion than before but of course he still prefers to be withdrawn and tries not to stand out too much especially in a crowd. Fun fact he even animates yeah ever since he made the comic he dabbled with short animations in the comic but with the short game he ironically stepped up his game and continues the story of the comic through animations. Despite this he still suffers from occasional nightmares and bouts of depression that while not serious (to him of course) do cause concern for his friends and Aubrey.
As for looks hasn't changed much save some stubbles on his chin and upper lip. Design tip: for those who know why Sunny wears sleeves you may be asking "what about the heat" simple just put bandages or anything that goes on forearms that's not clear it's meant to hide...Scars
Aubrey: Speaking of Aubrey the girl has done a 180 on pretty much everything since part 3 for she got a job that pays well enough to afford the rent in their new apartment since they had to move out of the old one for various reason (yes Sunny is the house husbando now). Her personality is a mixture of the peppy, free spirited, and head strong girl she was in her youth but piss her off or annoy her too much and she goes right back to her ruthless and fear inducing delinquent side she was not too long ago bat and all (she had to get a new one no nails this time).
As for looks she has dyed her hair back to black but if you want some pink can be left over and has retired the jacket but still keeps it. This is from a different AU but still fits so shout outs to the Opposite Omori AU or Oppori which is better
Kel: As usual Kel has remained practically unchanged since he's already perfect but I guess he gained a confidence boost after you know saving one of his best friends by taking a stab for them and later dragging/carrying Sunny whilst suffering a stab wound, the tournament is nothing compared to that so he is more then prepared. Of course Kel is humble and while he is a good player he is also a good team player always striving to keep moral high and give the Faraway Frontiers there all yes that is there name. This naturally gets the ire of the "supposed" Star player of the team who hates Kel for a variety of reason all of them self centered I assure you.
The new look is the jersey which of course is Orange with maybe some blue and black theming and his number is 01, guess who that angers
Hero: Like Kel Hero hasn't changed much save being less colder around people now that Mari is back to give him some much needed warmth though after seeing Sunny take down a gang and remembering the one sided fight he had with him Hero finally decides to start his own training in secret so he can defend Mari help Sunny during part 4 not that he wants to. Yeah Hero is still miffed at Sunny despite the group saying he shouldn't hold on to hate though society would beg to disagree.
Not much change in looks unless YOU want to add something, me personally he should have a lot of chin hair and side burns that by the epilogue grows into a beard
Basil: Everyone's favorite flower boy Basil is just as lovable and shy as ever and after the events of part 3 along with training and running his flower shop with photography on the side the MAN is starting to gain some self confidence so much so he may have gained the attention of SOMEONE yeah leaving this one to the community for this just show their first meeting, several dates, and nights of passion and were all good and to make it clear gender doesn't matter go nuts.
As for looks well...During Parts 1-3 he had long hair he'd put in a pony tail best example, now for Parts 4-Epilouge he cut his hair and now YOU pick just...FOCUS

Mari: After the events of Part 2 and during Sunny's coma Mari like her brother before became withdrawn and depressed since no sh!t she'd feel that way How would you feel if 8 years of your life was a lie, a lie that ruined the lives of your friends and family some of whom are dead, and add in the fact that it may have been your fault yet a loved one is taking all the blame and is now in a coma. But when Sunny comes out of his coma she puts on a brave face and tries to act like the big sister she wanted to be an act that fools everyone except Sunny who knows deep down she's still hurting and it's okay to show that around him showing the trust they have in each other
By parts 3-6 she occasionally has bouts of sadness since again everything happened because of her but by the time of part 5 well I'll leave it at that
not much change n the looks department less YOU want to add something(heh)
Kim: I'll be honest the Hooligans were strange writing for since I only knew Kim who was shipped with either Aubrey or Kel, Sunburn was already on my mind so TaffyJoe was left and I would leave the others to well the community. So Kim has been there by Aubrey's side since at least after Mari died and has genuinely cared for Aubrey's well being and has been her best friend every since I may even imply more than that but they didn't go through since it was obvious they had an interest in guys, one such guy came during Part 1 and even she thinks "anyone but him". Yet Kel came to her wanting to clear the air and get past any bad blood which confused Kim since she (despite her embarrassing defeat) didn't hold any personal grudge and thinks if Aubrey hangs out with them she'll be better off.
This mutual understanding turns into a genuine friendship as they hangout during part 2 since Kim is about as competitive as Kel and likes to play Basketball, and while Kel usually follows the rules when Kim show him how to shoplift without getting caught he has no hesitation to get that Orange Joe all in all a pretty standard friendship so far. Everything change when Part 3 attacked Kim heard Aubrey was living with Sunny practically rent free so she thought Kel would do the same it was worth a try so she went for it, a surprise visit and rule setting later it didn't take long for them to get closer and to have a night of passion. Now after the events of Part 3 and beyond while she's still a tomboy she has retired her Hooligan ways and just wants to be with Kel even if she finds him kinda annoying.
Finally to looks back in Faraway she had the shaved look but ever since coming to Nearby she's been letting it grow this can be short hair or long hair, tried to get real images instead of anime yet I couldn't a good Burnette with glasses
Samson: Sunny and Mari's father went through many iterations going from a complete scumbag, to completely sympathetic, and finally completely deranged. Eventually I settled on a half and half of somewhat scummy for you know arguably ruining everyone's lives by lying about Mari's death instead of...not doing that, but is still sympathetic sense he was a father who did what he felt was right and doesn't run away or make excuses when everyone finds out.
And despite saying "he disowns Sunny" he never actually does that officially and still loves him even admitting to Sunny during the end part 6 that the worst decision of his life was leaving his son behind
Okay other version got bugged or somethings so here is a better look
Sudden update: many things in Omori are left somewhat vague the story is easy to follow but everything surrounding it eeehhhhh not so much
this has led many (including me) to wonder if there are some supernatural elements in Omori the most obvious being that one moment with Mari, everything about the Stanger/shadow basil, basils grand mother, etc.; most of these are explained in game or can be explained by real world psychology except one you know which one
so if YOU want to include some light supernatural elements such as: ghosts, headspace being more than it seems, the collective unconsciousness, etc. go for it; just don't go too far like introducing literal magic at best just stick to psychics or mediums (best example: Ace Attorney)
Story
Part 4 Bargaining: This one focuses on the ACTUAL main character and best boi Kel since now the tournament I've been teasing is now here and he's team is the Faraway Frontiers the underdogs of the tournament, however turns out certain deals may have been made and when Kel is in the mix he may be given a choice with one involving Sunny. The B plot focuses on that other guy on how...everyone just wants to shit on his day yeah turns out when your the main/only suspect of a vigilante case which in turn revealed what you did to your sister when you were like 12 people tend to be very Judgmental.
Other plot points should include(if you want) the parents of our main characters and their part in Mari's "death", a vigilante group called The Black Suns, and Sunny's overall mental state since again just because his life is perfect now doesn't mean he still can't be his own worst enemy.
Part 5 Depression: All parts focus on Sunny's relationship with one of his friends and this one is about Hero, see Hero has still yet to find a reason to genuinely forgive Sunny despite being able to forgive Samson since in Hero's eyes he at least saved Mari's life while Sunny almost ended it. Some of you may say he shouldn't hold on to hate while others may say he has every right to hold onto it, but we can all agree that to let that Hatred control you won't do anyone good so by the end Hero and Sunny have a very emotional conversation were they agree that despite any lingering emotions they will finally bury the past and move on to the future.
Other plot points include Hero's ex's and yeah they all have certain aspects of Mari either in looks, personality, or even familial ties and a certain development that happens with Mari I'll give a MASSIVE hint go play and/or watch Yakuza 0-6 an
Part 6 Acceptance: This one is like one of those anime recap episodes where Sunny and Basil recount their childhood memories and the new memories they've made along the way, accepting their mistakes and like everyone else are ready to move forward, yeah this is meant to be a short one when I eventually write it with the only thing happening well...
Sunny and Hero make a bet Sunny then takes Aubrey outside(since they are in a building) and straight up proposes to Aubrey who says yes and Hero loses the bet immediately. Hero now has to pay for and plan the wedding (of course the others help out as well), Hero was pissed yet determined to make this the best wedding for the two and vowed to make his wedding with Mari even better so he considered this practice.
Sunny and Aubrey were Happily married surrounded by their friends and family which was a lot by this point and by the time the wedding party was over the newly weds hopped into a car and headed to Faraway town were Sunny reveals to Aubrey that he bought his old house and now it's theirs like she wanted so long ago,
the story ending where it started.
Epilogue: self-explanatory so I'll keep this a secret for now
